Hidden Economies and Currency Revaluation...
Tumblr media
Alright, I originally intended to post/publish the following as a series of essays that I would have linked together in one fashion or another. Instead I have decided to shorten much of the content and simply “mash” it together and hope for the best. As anyone familiar with my writings knows, I tend to have a loquacious style and the content or subject matter usually requires a bit of introduction and or back story.  Since much of it is uniquely originally in nature.  The combination makes for lengthy essays and discussions.  The Forthcoming is no less so.  I hope those that indulge, enjoy the experience, maybe even learn a thing or two.
With recent events and the accompanying economic distress, I have had to interject my knowledge and experiences repeatedly, in an attempt to shed light upon factors which are in place to beneficially impact our economy, and the worlds for that matter.  President Trump and his Administration are no fools, they fully intend on taking advantage of a long standing global currency agreement. An agreement that has come full term and whose mediation and legal conditions have been meet; the only caveat that has thus far prevented its global activation and institution was the Obama Administration's ongoing efforts to block it.  This despite billions of dollars in bribes having been paid into off-shore and shell corporation held by Michelle Obama.
Beginning in 1999, I was invited to be the fourth and junior executive tasked with administering and distributing funds associated to a large international humanitarian trust, whose principal holdings were in Taiwan.  A timed legacy from when Chiang Kai-shek fled mainland China and established the Republic of China in Taiwan.  It should have been a straightforward affair.  Except elements of the then W. Bush Administration went to Taiwan misappropriated the funds and transferred them to the Bank of the Vatican.  These elements, agents or “clowns” if you prefer, similarly plundered funds from an International Trust set up by the Globalist and the IMF back in 1968 and held by the Bank of America here in the United States. Additionally monies also held in trust by the SEC as recovered assets of an immense “ponzi” scheme mostly involving shares of the Kimberlite Mining Group out of Canada.  Were similarly transferred to the Bank of the Vatican.  The monies held by the Bank of America that were misappropriated and transferred were in the amount of over 16 trillion dollars, just to have some perspective on the amounts involved (you use to be able to watch on YouTube the C-SPAN coverage; wherein the then Head of the Federal Reserve admitted to the transfer but refused to answer additional questions on the matter since the “Law” did not require him to do so.  This to a Congressional Inquiry on the subject.).  From the Bank of the Vatican the funds were distributed into “High Yield Investment Platforms”.   What are “High Yield Investment Platforms” you ask; well first off most countries deny their existence, including the United States. One of the reasons is that you have to be “invited” to participate in the program with a minimum capital investment of a billion dollars.  An amount that in some “special” cases been reduced to 500 million recently.  I could write volumes on the subject, so please if you really wish to know just dig real hard and you will find an explanation.   So following the theft of our funds, I and the other principals became entangled in an ongoing game of “three card Molly” first with W. Bush Administration and subsequently Obama and his Administration. I got a crash course in international off-book banking, high yield investment platforms, oval office payola and administrative abuse of authority, corruption and greed on a Truly Epic scale brazenly conducted under color of authority.  Additionally I became acquainted with the Revaluation Trust Fund (held by the aforementioned Bank of America; it was also referred to by a variety of names and titles) meant to equalize the global monetary system via a mediated currency revaluation.  Believe me it was enough to give me many sleepless nights and numerous headaches, be grateful you are getting the Reader's Digest abbreviated version. To assuage any curiosity, the issues became too convoluted and mired in bureaucracy, the funds when and to what degree they were recovered took more than a decade.  The instruments meant for their distribution were non-existent by then and became lost in the politics of the time.  The monies generated as interest from their being utilized in the “high yield investment platforms” in Europe was never been recovered nor accounted for in the process.  These ill gotten gains are being used to fund the current fifth column actions in Europe and elsewhere.  If Hillary (HRC) had won the Presidency, these and other stolen assets would have gone to the extermination of the population here in America. Instead the monies are having to fuel secondary protocols meant to destabilize the US and World economies.
Now back to the matter of Global Currency Revaluation, as intended by the Globalist and their fiat currency system set up by the Rothschilds and Rockefellers when the Global International Currency System we have been familiar with in our lives was put in place. The architects of this System recognized that as developing nations attempted to modernize while lacking the functioning internal markets and industrial base to support their expansion and modernization.  They would increasingly accrue debt with an ever increasing portion needed to service the interest payments, till they would have no way of ever becoming solvent.  All the while they would be giving up title to the wealth of their respective nations (neo-imperialism).  The Globalist fearing a world wide wave of nationalization and repatriation of the assets of each developing country.  Therefore agreed that at some future date all currencies would go through a revaluation and that the individual debts of each participating country would be wiped clean.  All countries signed the agreement and began contributing to a international trust held by Bank of America.  The United States, however was in a unique situation.  That being that the implementation of said revaluation would require our assent.  Well the revaluation has already been mediated, with the IMF, World Bank and Courts having signed off on the accord.  The previous Administrations have elected to abuse the circumstance for their own greed.  Even so, with the anticipated revaluation a bit of creative accounting will permit America to also walk away from its debt.
President Trump rather than continue blocking this Global Revaluation, has obviously chosen to embrace it.  Over the past decade the operations and holdings of the Federal Reserve have been transferred to the Treasury in anticipation of this eventuality.  Now during the COVID 19 operations even the positions of the Head of the Federal Reserve have been transferred.  It is the final steps to the abolishing the Federal Reserve.  It should be noted that as a non-government agency or contractor as it were. The Federal Reserve had a contract to administer Our currency, the Dollar.  That contract expired some time ago, it has not, nor shall it be renewed.  For the sake of continuity of operations the old contract has remained in place via a series of stop gap extensions, as allowed by the Law.  These extensions have permitted the transfer of assets and operations from the Federal Reserve to the United States Treasury.  Naturally the process has taken longer than anticipated, but appears to be nearing its conclusion.  Some of you may be familiar with the new two tier currency system meant to replace the old Petro-Dollar, and grant more autonomy to countries and governments worldwide.
In concert to this is that in all probability much of the amassed illicit funds acquired by the “Evil World Cabal” may trickle back into the public coffers.  Albeit, “certain” as yet non-disclosed “special covert” operations will no doubt require ongoing funding in an effort to buffer the onslaught of Our “Future” War.  Which may be fought more vehemently to force the terms of the Exo-Treaty signed by the League of Nations in the '20's.  “Crazy” I know...

10 YEARS AGO, SUPER JUNIOR’S 'SORRY, SORRY' CHANGED K-POP FOREVER
THE SONG NOT ONLY CATAPULTED SUPER JUNIOR TO STARDOM, BUT IT REVOLUTIONIZED K-POP — AND EVERYONE FROM SEVENTEEN TO NCT HAVE COVERED IT
Tumblr media
On any given day, fans of K-pop groups rally on Twitter to get their faves noticed. Whether that’s trending hashtags to get them onto social media charts or to win actual awards, you can’t escape their passionate presence on your timeline. And though social media has always been an integral part of K-pop fandom, it wasn’t until a couple of years ago that K-pop stan Twitter became a force to be reckoned with. K-pop groups regularly dominate Billboard’s social chart, and now even brands stan Loona. But in order to get to that place in the digital space, a lot of ground had to be broken, and it can be traced back to exactly 10 years ago.
In terms of Hallyu (Korean pop culture) history, 2009 was an iconic year. Some would even argue it was a more impactful era in terms of K-pop reaching audiences outside of Korea than 2012’s “Gangnam Style.” According to an unpublished survey collected by Korea Creative Content Agency USA in 2014, the majority of K-pop fans in the States (39.5 percent) started consuming K-pop earlier than 2009, as opposed to 26.8 percent between 2012 and 2013. PSY might have turned himself into a viral phenomenon, but 2009 was a launch pad for a lot of what K-pop is today.
The year also marked a pivotal time in the internet age, which helped the globalization of Korean music. By 2009, YouTube and social media platforms had already started making K-pop content like music videos and choreography videos more accessible to consumers. This accelerated the spread of information — and dance crazes — to the world. One of the first male acts to set off a dance craze on social media was veteran K-pop group Super Junior with their 2009 mega hit “Sorry, Sorry.”
Released first as a digital single and soon followed by an album of the same name and the music video on March 12, "Sorry, Sorry" not only catapulted Super Junior to Hallyu stardom, but it revolutionized K-pop itself.
youtube
Right from the start, the song says what it’s all about: dance. Packed with a repetitive chorus, chant-like hooks, and auto-tuned vocals, “Sorry, Sorry” utilized the pop formula of the day to perfection and delivered an earworm. The album debuted at No. 1 on one of South Korea’s most important music charts, and the song topped the charts too. It also reached No. 1 in other countries like Taiwan and Thailand, and it landed in the Top 10 in the Philippines. In Taiwan, “Sorry, Sorry” spent 36 consecutive weeks at No. 1. For a lot of older K-pop fans, "Sorry, Sorry" was an entry point, thanks to the countless flash mobs — a very 2009 trend — and dance covers uploaded online from Malaysia to Indonesia to even a prison in the Philippines.
Sorry, Sorry signaled Super Junior’s coming of age, not only sound-wise, but conceptually. Their sleeker, more sophisticated neutral color palette showed a more mature side to the SM Entertainment group, who made their debut in 2005. They shifted away from the visual kei-inspired concept of previous songs like “Don’t Don” and “U” — a major trend at the time — and instead embraced an aesthetic that would inspire the next decade of K-pop. The focus on the choreography highlighted Super Junior’s strengths in numbers, which helped popularize the idea of larger-sized male groups (think ZE:A, SEVENTEEN, and The Boyz). Not to mention, the virality of a point dance had been something representative of girl groups at the time, but after “Sorry, Sorry,” male groups like SHINee (“Ring Ding Dong”) and 2PM (“Again and Again”) followed suit.
And Super Junior were pioneers in other ways as well. They were the first K-pop group to feature a Chinese national in its ranks, and though he constantly ran into setbacks for being a foreigner and eventually left the group, Hankyung (who now goes by his Chinese name Han Geng) opened doors for all non-Koreans in the idol industry today.
Tumblr media
ailblazers in the global music industry by collaborating with Latinx artists Leslie Grace and Play-N-Skillz on the English-Spanish-Korean banger “Lo Siento” — and with Reik on “Otra Vez” — becoming the first Korean act to enter Latin Billboard charts twice.
Due to mandatory military enlistments, departures, and other issues, Super Junior’s lineup has been changing for the better part of a decade. The act’s current active members are Leeteuk (real name Park Jeong-su), Kim Heechul, Yesung (Kim Jong-woon), Shindong (Shin Dong-hee), Eunhyuk (Lee Hyuk-jae), Lee Donghae, Choi Siwon, and Kim Ryeowook. Once Cho Kyuhyun wraps up his service in May, Super Junior will have a fixed lineup active for the first time in 10 years.
Nowadays, "Sorry, Sorry" is almost like a rite of passage for newer groups, with everyone from EXO to SEVENTEEN to NCT, and even BTS, GFRIEND, and TWICE — together with Leeteuk, who's become a favorite on Korean variety shows — covering it. The song is also a frequent pick on competition shows like Produce 101, where all but two members of the winning “Sorry, Sorry” team ended up debuting in the popular temporary group Wanna One.
youtube
To celebrate 10 years of Sorry, Sorry and its lasting impact on K-pop today, let’s take a look at some of the standout tracks that made that album so iconic.
"Sorry, Sorry"
The song that started it all. Whether it’s the catchy melody, the ddan-ddan-ddans, or the continued use of "shawty" and "sorry," good luck getting "Sorry, Sorry" out of your head. And when you pair it with an equally memorable “point dance” of rubbing your hands in an apologetic manner, it’s no surprise that every K-pop stan on YouTube — and in the idol industry — has this song and its choreography on lock.
Produced by SM Entertainment’s in-house producer Yoo Young-jin (Red Velvet’s “Bad Boy,” NCT U’s “Boss”), Super Junior changed up their sound for this single. After exploring alternative rock, they went for an R&B and funk-infused dance track, a trait that would come to characterize the group for years.
"It’s You"
youtube
Following up “Sorry, Sorry” with something just as good must’ve been difficult or even impossible to fathom, but Super Junior pulled through. Two months after “Sorry, Sorry,” the group dropped the album’s second single “It’s You.” Written and produced by E-Tribe (Girls’ Generation’s “Gee,” Loona’s “love4eva”), “It’s You” is a more mellow approach for a dance and contemporary R&B song than “Sorry, Sorry.” It features a clapping beat, a haunting repetition of the phrase “it’s you” in Korean, and a balanced harmony of the members’ voices. The track also marked an important era in Super Junior history, since it was the last single to feature all 13 members of the core group in a music video (Hankyung left the group by the end of the year and Kibum went on a permanent hiatus). Upon release, “It’s You” reached No. 1 on South Korea’s then most popular social media platform, Cyworld.
"It’s You" has been revamped recently and the group — whose members are all well into their 30s — now perform it at their concerts with new lace blindfolds, which they take off mid-chorus and use as a prop. And though it still sounds distinctly 2009, the song has aged beautifully.
"Why I Like You"
youtube
There’s always that one song on an album that fans wish was a promotional single but unfortunately isn’t. On Sorry, Sorry said track is “Why I Like You.” Though performed as a b-side together with “Sorry, Sorry” on music shows, it deserved way more attention. Super Junior are the kings of, among many things, the dance-ballad, and “Why I Like You” is their crown jewel within that genre.
"Monster"
youtube
Before EDM took over, laser synths on a pop-R&B hybrid were everything in K-pop. And “Monster,” with its dark, Timbaland-like moody production, perfectly encapsulated the sound of an era. It’s a major throwback sonically, but “Monster” is undoubtedly an underrated deep cut.
"Heartquake (feat. TVXQ!’s U-know Yunho & Micky Yoochun)"
One of the group’s many sub-units is Super Junior-K.R.Y., which stands for Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung, who are the group’s main vocalists. On Sorry, Sorry, the trio were given their own song that featured their SM labelmates U-know Yunho and Micky Yoochun, then both part of TVXQ! "Heartquake" is a mid-tempo heartbreak ballad with a hip-hop influence thanks to U-know Yunho and Micky Yoochun self-written rap verses.

NASA's TESS spacecraft is finding hundreds of exoplanets – and is poised to find thousands more
by Daniel Apai and Benjamin Rackham
Tumblr media
This artist’s impression shows a view of the planet Proxima b orbiting the red dwarf star Proxima Centauri, the closest star to the solar system. ESO/M. Kornmesser
Within just 50 light-years from Earth, there are about 1,560 stars, likely orbited by several thousand planets. About a thousand of these extrasolar planets – known as exoplanets – may be rocky and have a composition similar to Earth’s. Some may even harbor life. Over 99% of these alien worlds remain undiscovered — but this is about to change.
With NASA’s new exoplanet-hunter space telescope TESS, the all-sky search is on for possibly habitable planets close to our solar system. TESS — orbiting Earth every 13.7 days — and ground-based telescopes are poised to find hundreds of planets over the next few years. This could transform astronomers’ understanding of alien worlds around us and provide targets to scan with next-generation telescopes for signatures of life. In just over a year, TESS has identified more than 1,200 planetary candidates, 29 of which astronomers have already confirmed as planets. Given TESS’s unique ability to simultaneously search tens of thousands of stars for planets, the mission is expected to yield over 10,000 new worlds.
These are exciting times for astronomers and, especially, for those of us exploring exoplanets. We are members of the planet-hunting Project EDEN, which also supports TESS’s work. We use telescopes on the ground and in space to find exoplanets to understand their properties and potential for harboring life.
Undiscovered worlds all around us
Worlds around us await discovery. Take, for example, Proxima Centauri, an unassuming, faint red star, invisible without a telescope. It is one of over a hundred billion or so such stars within our galaxy, unremarkable except for its status as our next-door neighbor. Orbiting Proxima is a fascinating but mysterious world, called Proxmia b, discovered only in 2016.
Scientists know surprisingly little about Proxima b. Astronomers name the first planet discovered in a system “b”. This planet has never been seen with human eyes or by a telescope. But we know it exists due to its gravitational pull on its host star, which makes the star wobble ever so slightly. This slight wobble was found in measurements collected by a large, international group of astronomers from data taken with multiple ground-based telescopes. Proxima b very likely has a rocky composition similar to Earth’s, but higher mass. It receives about the same amount of heat as Earth receives from the Sun.
And that is what makes this planet so exciting: It lies in the “habitable” zone and just might have properties similar to Earth’s, like a surface, liquid water, and — who knows? — maybe even an atmosphere bearing the telltale chemical signs of life.
NASA’s TESS mission launched in April 2018 to hunt for other broadly Earth-sized planets, but with a different method. TESS is looking for rare dimming events that happen when planets pass in front of their host stars, blocking some starlight. These transit events indicate not only the presence of the planets, but also their sizes and orbits.
Finding a new transiting exoplanet is a big deal for astronomers like us because, unlike those found through stellar wobbles, worlds seen transiting can be studied further to determine their densities and atmospheric compositions.
Tumblr media

Red dwarf suns
For us, the most exciting exoplanets are the smallest ones, which TESS can detect when they orbit small stars called red dwarfs – stars with masses less than half the mass of our Sun.
Each of these systems is unique. For example, LP 791-18 is a red dwarf star 86 light-years from Earth around which TESS found two worlds. The first is a “super-Earth,” a planet larger than Earth but probably still mostly rocky, and the second is a “mini-Neptune,” a planet smaller than Neptune but gas- and ice-rich. Neither of these planets have counterparts in our solar system.
Among astronomers’ current favorites of the new broadly Earth-sized planets is LHS 3884b, a scorching “hot Earth” that orbits its sun so quickly that on it you could celebrate your birthday every 11 hours.
Tumblr media

No Earth-like worlds yet
But how Earth-like are Earth-sized planets? The promise of finding nearby worlds for detailed studies is already paying off. A team of astronomers observed the hot super-Earth LHS 3884b with the Hubble Space Telescope and found the planet to be a horrible vacation spot, without even an atmosphere. It is just a bare rock with temperatures ranging from over 700 C (1300 Fahrenheit) at noon to near absolute zero (-460 Fahrenheit) at midnight.
The TESS mission was initially funded for two years. But the spacecraft is in excellent shape and NASA recently extended the mission through 2022, doubling the time TESS will have to scan nearby, bright stars for transits.
However, finding exoplanets around the coolest stars — those with temperatures less than about 2700 C (4900 F) — will still be a challenge due to their extreme faintness. Since ultracool dwarfs provide our best opportunity to find and study exoplanets with sizes and temperatures similar to Earth’s, other focused planet searches are picking up where TESS leaves off.
Tumblr media
Illustration of TESS, NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center
The worlds TESS can’t find
In May 2016, a Belgian-led group announced the discovery of a planetary system around the ultracool dwarf they christened TRAPPIST-1. The discovery of the seven transiting Earth-sized exoplanets in the TRAPPIST-1 system was groundbreaking.
It also demonstrated how small telescopes — relative to the powerful behemoths of our age — can still make transformational discoveries. With patience and persistence, the TRAPPIST telescope scanned nearby faint, red dwarf stars from its high-mountain perch in the Atacama desert for small, telltale dips in their brightnesses. Eventually, it spotted transits in the data for the red dwarf TRAPPIST-1, which — although just 41 light-years away — is too faint for TESS’s four 10-cm (4-inch) diameter lenses. Its Earth-sized worlds would have remained undiscovered had the TRAPPIST team’s larger telescope not found them.
Two projects have upped up the game in the search for exo-Earth candidates around nearby red dwarfs. The SPECULOOS team installed four robotic telescopes – also in the Atacama desert – and one in the Northern Hemisphere. Our Exoearth Discovery and Exploration Network – Project EDEN – uses nine telescopes in Arizona, Italy, Spain and Taiwan to observe red dwarf stars continuously.
The SPECULOOS and EDEN telescopes are much larger than TESS’s small lenses and can find planets around stars too faint for TESS to study, including some of the transiting Earth-sized planets closest to us.
Tumblr media
This artist’s concept shows what the TRAPPIST-1 planetary system may look like, based on available data about the planets’ diameters, masses and distances from the host star, as of February 2018. NASA/JPL-Caltech
The decade of new worlds
The next decade is likely to be remembered as the time when we opened our eyes to the incredible diversity of other worlds. TESS is likely to find between 10,000 and 15,000 exoplanet candidates by 2025. By 2030, the European Space Agency’s GAIA and PLATO missions are expected to find another 20,000-35,000 planets. GAIA will look for stellar wobbles introduced by planets, while PLATO will search for planetary transits as TESS does.
However, even among the thousands of planets that will soon be found, the exoplanets closest to our solar system will remain special. Many of these worlds can be studied in great detail – including the search for signs of life. Discoveries of the nearest worlds also represent major steps in humanity’s progress in exploring the universe we live in. After mapping our own planet and then the solar system, we now turn to nearby planetary systems. Perhaps one day Proxima b or another nearby world astronomers have yet to find will be the target for interstellar probes, like Project Starshot, or even crewed starships. But first we’ve got to put these worlds on the map.

[ENGTRANS] Jessica interview with Grazia Korea 10.2018
Tumblr media
G: Grazia  J: Jessica
G: You were overseas till a few days ago. From Canada to Seoul, and now you're in LA. How do you pass your time lately?
J: I've been very busy lately. (Laughs) I visited many places while abroad, and I'm also trying to create more opportunities to meet my fans.
G: It seems your time spent in Seoul is getting shorter.
J: In a month, my time spent in Seoul won't exceed 2 weeks. When I'm back, it's like I'm ready to leave again the moment I put down my luggages. Even so, Korea is still my home, because my parents and sister are there.
Tumblr media
G: Looking back to now, you're not only a singer, but also the creative director of an up-and-coming fashion brand to be reckoned with globally. How do you benchmark yourself?
J: My agency profiles me as a 'multifaceted artiste'. It's becoming increasingly common to have multiple careers. From being singers and actors, to participating in musicals or any other careers. Pursuing multiple fields and careers is something interesting to me. Singer Jessica is doing well, being able to put my thoughts into action is fascinating.
G: What inspires you to continuously create new content?
J: It's a blessing to be able to travel to so many places for work, and this inspires me. Travelling back and forth like this allows me to meet my fans as well. I feel the urge to give back whenever I feel the energy and support from my fans.
Tumblr media
G: Does this mean you spend a lot of time in the air? How do you pass time?
J: I drink a lot of hot lemon water on flights, and also apply a calming essential oil behind my ears to aid my sleep. I always do an essential oil infused 'half-bath' (hanshin yoku) once I reach the hotel to relax my muscles. This is how I stay in sync with my surroundings, like "oh, this is LA, it's a new start".
G: How about your rest days when you have no schedules?
J: I'm busy practising self-care on days without schedules. From hair color and treatment, to mani-pedicure. The discipline of self-restoration will fill all my free time, which also includes workout routines like pilates. Visits to the doctor's for supplements will take up almost a whole day. There are also frequent times when meetings with the Blanc & Eclare team go on till the wee hours of the night.
Tumblr media
G: I'm sure there are times you do absolutely nothing?
J: Whenever I have a few free days in Korea, that is when I feel rested. To me, it's not truly rest unless it's home. I have a concert in Taiwan this October, but my schedule is packed before that. I may be able to take a breather after the concert but nothing is certain because my schedule is still being arranged till now (laughs).
G: If you continue to work like this, you will definitely feel exhausted, and experience 'burnout'. Do you sometimes feel life is tough?
J: The good thing about me is that I'm very focused and also very flexible. Of course, I'm surrounded by people whom I'm thankful for. They stayed beside me, gave me support so I wouldn't feel exhausted and am able to complete a day's work with ease. I'm surrounded by many capable staff, and I'm very thankful.
Tumblr media
G: Do you find it fitting to be both a singer and creative director now?
J: It's fascinating. Regardless of what my career choice was, it has always been my dream to work in the fashion industry. Working with people who share the same interests, putting out products just as I imagined without modifications, and then people buying and using my products, makes me very happy. Since this is 100% my product, the feeling I have is indescribable, nothing else compares.
G: Having debuted at a young age, have you ever thought about how 30 year old Jessica would be like?
J: Because life was simply too hectic during my younger days, so I look forward to a carefree life now. As for what kind of person I wanna become, I just wanna be spontaneous and cool. My definition of cool would be someone who enjoys whatever he/she does, and is able to derive happiness from it.
Tumblr media
G: That sounds like the current you. Have your dreams come true already?
J: That's right (laughs). What I'm thankful for is how I've been steadily moving towards my goal since young, and successfully reached where I am today.
G: Were there no major setbacks?
J: I guess things were fairly smooth-sailing for me.
G: As the saying goes 'life is never smooth-sailing', have you ever felt frustrated?
J: I'm not the type to get frustrated over things. In other words, I will accept whatever life throws at me. Under such circumstances, we should just sort things out and change our course of action. Moreover, I'm not the type to regret or feel sorry for myself over things that is out of my control. Everybody has low periods in life, and that happened to me too. Whenever that happens to me, I will face reality and forge a new path. I don't wish to bear unnecessary stress.
Tumblr media
G: How will you picture yourself 10 years from now?
J: I should have a happy family by then? (Laughs) Since I would have been at that age. It's great that my life is moving along the way I imagined. I once thought to myself that I was gonna open a store in NYC if I ever work in the fashion industry. I didn't manage to list NYC as one of the locations when I first launched my brand, but my dream still came true in the end. Accomplishing my dreams make it extra meaningful.
G: You once said you will try your best to portray your true self in interviews, is there any special reason?
J: I'm actually very shy. But as my overseas activities increase, I gradually start to think I should open up more to show the various sides of Jessica. Being on my own now, I've managed to find a comfortable balance with everyone.
Tumblr media
G: Circumstances make a man. Seems like you are at a good place now?
J: Regardless of what place I'm at, I don't ever wanna hear my manager say things like "I don't wanna hear what you have to say and I don't care what you think". Cultural differences exist, and we can interact with people via so many social media platforms nowadays. Since I've opened up more, I can interact with everyone more closely now.
G: Following your current emotional state, what has changed?
J: I feel more at ease now. I used to feel awkward when people initiate conversations because I didn't know what to say, and what should be said, so I feel burdened. But I'm at a good place now, so I feel great.
Tumblr media
G: What kind of person is Jessica to you?
J: I'm extremely straightforward and frank, even to people whom I have connections with. It's more convenient to work like this.
G: What kind of person do you want to become?
J: I'm somewhat of a perfectionist. Even though I haven't learnt to let everything go, I'm slowly getting there. I try my best at whatever I do. Everyone tells me I am where I am today because of my hard work. Nowadays I'm beginning to delegate tasks to my staff, so it's getting easier for everybody now (laughs).
Tumblr media
G: You look prettier these days, what's your secret?
J: Focus on my health. I fell sick for a few days after returning to Korea a while back, it was so bad that I couldn't leave my house for those few days. I felt the time was wasted with nothing accomplished, and I could only spend less than a week in Korea! So I did a full body checkup to find out what my body lacks, and have started managing my health. I also take vitamins and reduce my intake of flour-based foods. I'm trying hard to improve my eating habits.
G: It's a popular topic these days, happiness or health?
J: I have always wanted to lead a happy life since young, but I'm already very happy now. So I need to stay healthy to enjoy this happiness longer (laughs).
Tumblr media
G: It's only 2 months to the end of the year, how do you intend to spend the rest of the year?
J: I'm earnestly preparing for my concert. Thereafter I intend to take a break till the end of the year. I'm also considering if I should release an album next year.
G: So will we be able to see Jessica the singer next year?
J: Once I feel that I am ready, I will release that album. An album clearly distinguishes an artiste. My album will have to showcase a sound unique to me, so it requires more effort.
G: Last question. Any other things you wanna challenge yourself to?
J: I'm more into clothes worn for vacations these days, like swimsuits. I also intend to expand a variety of different garments. I will mostly focus in the fashion in the near future.

My name is Jeff Wang (王光華). I’m currently living in Taipei, Taiwan (Republic of China), not far from the 101 building. My hometown is in Fengshan, Kaohsiung City, southern Taiwan, where most of my family still lives.
My love of art began when I was in elementary school. On the weekend, my father always took me to the children’s studio to study, so I often participated in some painting competitions and won awards. However, going to school, during the middle school period, interrupted the course of painting. Until high school, due to the expertise of painting, I chose to study design-related vocational schools.
It is a school dedicated to employment, and the courses are some skillful design courses. They provided me with a way to explore my love for design. During those years, through the encouragement of my design teacher, I realized that I have another talent that I am good at.
After graduating from high school, I know that I needed to balance the love of art and the economic security of my work, so my attention has shifted to graphic design and advertising. After graduation, I got an art directorship at an advertising agency in Taipei. I met my wife, RoseChen, in Taipei. She is also a graphic designer. She has a stronger ability to paint characters.
A few years later, we got married and returned to our hometown of Kaohsiung, where I have worked as a creative director for 23 years. We gave birth to a son and I am very happy that he has athletic talent and is a badminton player. When my son grew up, I had more time and returned to school to study at the university and research institute. Three years ago, I came to work in Taipei as the visual director of an online shopping company.
After graduating from high school, for nearly 30 years, painting tools and love have been forgotten because of work. Thanks to the Lord, because my wife still maintains the life of painting. In recent years, with her encouragement, I picked up the brush again. At first, I used a pen and watercolor sketching method to sketch and sketch, and occasionally sketched with only pen. About a year and a half ago, I began to paint pure watercolor.
My rediscovery of watercolor began in 2017. In fact, I have not gone through a formal watercolor course. Although I have a wife’s guidance, I know that I still have a lot to learn. Thanks to the internet, I read a lot of content about the media and watched many free instructional videos on YouTube.
I also joined many painting-related communities on Facebook and participated in events to get to know more friends who love painting. Most importantly, I tried my best to paint. I found that I can’t wait to go home every day. I can draw, sketch, practice mixing… anything related to watercolor.
I started sharing my paintings on the Facebook and Instagram pages. At first, I was dissatisfied with my creation, but I found a group of supportive and like-minded artists. Their encouragement and positive feedback, and some friends who liked and collected my work, have given me the confidence to release more work and continue painting with watercolor.
Pigments: My main watercolor paints are Winsor & Newton, some of Holbein’s and Taiwan’s UMAE watercolor pink series of transparent pigments.
Palette: My palette is given to me by my wife. That is what she doesn’t want in Winsor & Newton. There are 24 core colors in my palette. In fact, I don’t care, using new or old, what brand of color palette.
Brush: At the beginning, I also used my wife’s brush. I don’t know which brand they are. A year ago, I bought a set of Da Vinci watercolor brushes, a total of 7 different numbers and hair quality, and also included a nylon hair brush. I still use this set of watercolor brushes for painting.
Paper: I started using the Puli watercolor paper which is a Taiwanese brand, which is characterized by “cheap”. This type of paper is suitable for sketching. It is not suitable for watercolor painting. The paper is easy to wrinkle and wash off the underlying pigment. However, due to the characteristics of this painting, it is also possible to practice how to control moisture and time. At present, I mostly use China’s Baohong watercolor paper. However, pigments tend to flow with water and are difficult to control. Can also be used to create unexpected effects. I occasionally use Saunders and will try to use Arches in the future.
I look forward to participating in more seminars in the future. There is still a lot to learn. About my inspiration, those come from almost anything. Anything that touches me or has special meaning; from my cultural background to the destination of the world travel.
I like pets. I will complete the 2018 project and draw 100 different breeds of dogs because it is the Chinese Year of the Dog. I also like the inspiration for natural attractions and other attractions. I also often paint still life and flowers. I feel that there are inspirations everywhere to be found by looking around. When painting becomes the favorite thing in life except God, the rest of the results are given to God!
