After releasing a string of collaborations with artists like Vladimir Cauchemar, KRL MX and Peligre, as well as a full EP under his Vipa Diva moniker last year, ‘The Daddiest’ now returns to his own Taapion Records with his highly-anticipated new single, ‘I’m Not Done…

Pick of the weekend: Eyssenah - Stardust Breaker EP (Taapion, TPN010) LINK IN BIO or itsoundsfuture.com Late June marks the arrival of Taapion founders Shlømo & AWB’s new collaborative project Eyssenah as the duo unveils their debut five track EP entitled ‘Stardust Breaker’. Founded in 2013, Parisian imprint Taapion Records has quickly become a go-to imprint for many, releasing material from the likes of François X, Bambounou, Antigone and Roman Poncet alongside core label originators Shlømo, AWB and PVNV. Following their debut live performance at Rainbow Serpent Festival under the new alias Eyssenah earlier this year, here we see Shlømo and AWB combine to reveal the project’s debut release, compiled of five tracks that span intelligent, ambient sound design through to driving, precise techno cuts. ‘Capsule’ opens the package in spellbinding fashion as the duo expertly weave together a web of rich textures, ethereal atmospherics and mesmerising soundscapes, before the dynamic ‘Dabla’ marches forth, armed with sharp hats, crisp claps and snaking synth lines to reveal a high octane, rolling groove aimed at the peak time. On the flip, title cut ‘Stardust Breaker’ keeps the pressure high, as electro tinged lead lines and weighty kicks collide with ever evolving, raw melodies, whilst ‘Ghost Kamikaze Attack’ sees the pairing lay the focus on slick broken beat arrangements accented by warped vocal licks and hypnotic synths. To conclude, the aesthetic is once again shifted as the warping ‘Saike’ introduces off kilter glitches and wicked bass licks amongst resonant vocal shots and blissful, almost nostalgic melodies, concluding an impressive debut offering from the project and yet another stand out release under the Taapion catalogue. PARTY TIPPS HEUTE: Das Performance & Visual Artist Club Festival 2017 - Berlin startet heute. Tanzbarer Sound trifft auf Licht, Shows und Kunst in Mitten der betoneren Gänge der Alte Münze Berlin. Von analogen Illuminationen über maschinen modulierte Videos bis hin zu akrobatischen Bühnenshows reicht das Programm. Tokyo Redlight mit AWB, Lena Popova und Blazej Malinowski sind im Salon - Zur wilden Renate. Der soundmäßig frisch überarbeitete Grüne Raum beherbergt diesmal fließenden und treibenden Techno des Parisers AWB, der sich als Betreiber von Taapion Records sowie durch gemeinsame Releases mit seinem Labelkollegen Shlømo einen derzeit äußerst gefragten Namen machte. Die neueste Ausgabe von Solid-AMs regulärem Bash sieht so gut aus wie eh und je, mit Dana Ruh, Mathew Jonson und Cristi Cons an den Decks. Zu erleben auf der Hoppetosse. Schiff Ahoi! Das Chalet Club "Official" ruft zur Clubnight mit @South London Ordnance, Nuno Dos Santos & More. Wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, befindet sich das Schlafzimmerstudio von South London Ordnance irgendwo südlich der Temse. In seinem Sound spiegelt sich ebenfalls der ruffe Einschlag der City wieder, welcher House und Techno mit der abrasiven Ästhetik und den Kanten von Drum & Bass verbindet. Die Zeit vergeht wie im Flug und Awkwardly Social Berlin feiert bereits seinen ersten Geburtstag in der liebenswerten Anita Berber. Mit dabei: Joel Helfrich, Moritz Rudolf b2b Dj Carlita und CHENG NWSH. Die Transatlantyk Label Night hat bereits 3 Jahre Residenz im Farbfernseher auf dem Buckel.
