#TRAINEE TAG ── AUGUST '24

"i agree with you. it's also different than what i had expected. though, i guess i'm not sure what i was supposed to have expected after next gen, " jiayi says, confiding in ara. she's sure there are other people here who were trainees at different companies like she was, but she doesn't know if they've all experienced the same as she has. "i didn't really understand why we were thrown into a workshop so suddenly, i thought there would be sort of . . . " the dancer trails off, biting her lip while looking for the right words. "an adjustment period."
"i'm getting the hand of it though," she tells the other with a smile. "after all, it's kind of sink or swim, you know?" jiayi laughs. "you have to come out of it on top or else," she jokes around with the other, waiting for her to give her take.
"its been...." honest? slight under-exaggeration? don't express the woes? "different from what i expected in some ways, but also what i expected when i thought about what it is to be a trainee. but i guess that might be different under every company, yea." what ara means is, she doesn't know how much she actually is on route with the acting bits, but hey, everyone has to start somewhere.
"how about you? getting the hang of everything?" she's happy that she gets to see her here, and perhaps they could always 'keep up' with each other that way, especially since they'd worked together well, along with friendly competition that kept them on their toes. being a trainee from square one had put a lot into perspective for ara. and it was good to see how far others were, especially the trainees that had been here for a longer time to see where their progress was. of where she could hopefully approach one day.

Reminder: Please do not post schedule posts in the fmdschedule tag.
Schedule posts for this quarter can be tagged with #fmdgsrq321.
OVERALL COMPANY
Gold Star is teaming up with VLive this quarter to host a special VLive relay as company promotion. This means that every artist under Gold Star Media (including the un-debuted members of Marigold and Quicksilver, who will do so under the moniker of Gold Star trainees) will be expected to do a solo VLive this quarter to participate in the relay. The date will be flexible with management, but it will be pre-scheduled and pre-announced and will need to last at least fifteen minutes, but can be longer. Due to delays in the finishing touches being put on the Base Culture Complex, BC, Dimensions, and Gold Star have also banded together to get some mediaplay opportunities and good media karma in the name of base by hosting a community service event each month together. Idols are encouraged to participate for good press, but they are not required to.
Important dates:
July 1-September 30: Gold Star VLive relay.
July 19: Volunteering opportunity at an animal shelter with BC & Dimensions idols.
August 30: Volunteering opportunity at an orphanage with BC & Dimensions idols.
September 20-22: Chuseok (no group schedules).
September 27: Volunteering opportunity delivering meals to the elderly with BC & Dimensions idols.
SILHOUETTE
Silhouette celebrates eleven years on the very first day of the quarter and will hold a group VLive to celebrate with their fans. They’re welcome to tease their upcoming comeback during that time as long as they don’t spoil too much, as it will have been announced by then. They come back on July 19th and the song does well to the standard of Silhouette’s last few releases. They also participate in festival season, having a few gigs booked to perform thanks to their general public appeal due to their longevity and mature image. They’ve also been chosen as ambassadors of LG phones and will record and film a special promotional single for the brand in August that will be released in September. On top of that, Silhouette is scheduled to release another mini-album before the year is out, which they’ll record in August after wrapping comeback promotions. In September, they’ll be learning the title track choreography and attending fittings.
Important dates:

September 29: Performance at Cheonan World Dance Festival in Cheonan (also performing: 7ROPHY, Lucid, and Fuse).
ARIA
The first half of the quarter is spent finishing comeback preparations and Aria makes their comeback in August. It’s one of their more traditionally summer-themed releases and the response among both fans and the general public are mixed, but still generally positive. It’s not the hit song of the summer, but a full album makes fans happy (even if a sizable chunk of it is member solo tracks) and Aria continues to experiment with maturing their sound. They continue promotions through almost the end of the quarter with music shows and fan signs, and Gold Star has booked them for a few festivals to get the song out to more ears.
Important dates:
July 13: “Firework” comeback fittings.
July 20: Two of Us photo book shoot.
August 1: Performance at Suwon KT Wiz Supporters Festival in Suwon (also performing: Gal.actic and Aria).

September 26: Performance at Hallyu Dream Concert in Gyeongju (also performing: Decipher, BEE, Lipstick, Knight, CHARM, Chroma Crystal, Gal.actic, Alien, MARS, Lucid, Silhouette, Origin, Impulse, and Fuse.)
ORIGIN
Origin is expected to continue to practice their performance of their comeback throughout July and August, but they will be flying in and out of Osaka over this time period as they kickstart the Japan leg of their tour. Most of their time is still spent in Seoul, though, since they have plenty of comeback preparations still left to do such as fittings, teaser photo shoots, and the music video filming. During this time before they’re busy with promotions, they’ll also record their next mini-album. Their single “Dynamite” is released in August and as their first true English single is an even bigger success than anyone really expected, though Gold Star put in a lot of work on their end to make sure it was successful. It tops the charts in countries all over the world, including South Korea and the US, earning them the first ever Billboard Hot 100 #1 for an all-South Korean act and dominating the Korean charts for an impressive length of time. They might just have another song of the year in the bag. Promotions continue as normal, with music shows and performances for overseas media, though they won’t be having any fan signs since it’s a single release.

IMPULSE
Impulse will be traveling back and forth on their Impulse Road Tour throughout Asia and the US in July and August. Once they get back from tour, they’ll be preparing for their Japanese comeback and their Korean comeback at the same time. Though they’ll record their Japanese mini-album and learn the title track’s choreography in July, August will see them balancing fittings and photo book shoots for their Japanese comeback with recording their Korean comeback mini album. FUSE
Activity finally kicks back up for Fuse this quarter. They’re in high gear for comeback preparations as they finish preparing to make their first comeback in what will be a few days over a year at the time of release. On top of that, they have some performances in the form of festival concerts and one in their role as Shilla Duty Free ambassadors, and they also wrap up their La Rouge concert tour in Yokohama a few weeks before their comeback. “Hands Up” earns mixed opinions, as Fuse singles have often done in the past, but the song does well enough to prove Fuse shouldn’t be dungeoned long-term.

July 17: Performance* at Cass Blue Playground concert (also performing: Knight Light). *the concert would be in-person

↳ FUSE B&W
Fuse B&W continue to promote “Naughty” throughout June with the regular round of music show promotions. It’s praised for its choreography and brings some extra attention to the members of the sub-unit and makes fans a little less antsy about a full group comeback, as both of the sub-units promotions were intended to.
Important dates:
July 21: End of “Naughty” music show promotions.
FEMME FATALE
Femme Fatale starts the quarter by finishing getting everything ready for their comeback at the very end of July. Shortly before their comeback, they make a festival appearance, something that’s become rare for them lately, and fans are excited to see them participate in one again. “Ice Cream” does well because they’re Femme Fatale, but it isn’t the un-paralleled hit Gold Star might have hoped for, as it ends up being a polarizing release among fan opinion. Luckily, they’ll already be working on their first full-length album by the time they make that comeback. They’ll record the album throughout July and August, and during their time off of promotions in August, they’ll also be in the dance studio to practice choreography for “Lovesick Girls” and “Pretty Savage”. Once they’re done promoting “Ice Cream”, September will be dedicated to finishing up The Album and they’ll also do a shoot for American Elle, where they’ll appear on the cover for October’s issue.

August 20: Elle October issue cover shoot and Elle Song Association video filming.

September 7: The Album photo book shoot.
September 15: “Lovesick Girls” M/V filming day one & teaser photo and concept video shoot.
September 16: “Lovesick Girls” M/V filming day two.
VIVE
Much like their debut quarter, this quarter is once again an incredibly busy one for Vive. They start it off with going overseas to the US for their showcase tour across the country. During their time in Chicago, they’ll film a special MV for their b-side “Our Summer”. Once they get back, they’ll performance at their first ever festival and they’ll work on getting down the choreography they’ll need to know for their next comeback (”Run Away”, “New Rules”, “Poppin’ Star”, “Can’t We Just Leave The Monster Alive?”, “Angel or Devil”) on rather short notice for how much they have to learn. Their Korean comeback is received well despite not garnering as much attention as their debut. There’s no time to bask in the glow of their first comeback, though as they’ll be busy all throughout late August and September prepping to make their Japanese debut by recording the mini-album. The group will also be recording their first ever OST in August, for release in September.
Important dates:
July 1: STAR in US showcase at Playstation Theatre in New York, NY, USA.

MARIGOLD
First things first, Marigold will film the dance covers they practiced last quarter over the course of July. They’ll be released one by one until the final cover is released the day Marigold’s debut is planned to be announced to the press. Marigold begins to prep for their debut release in earnest this quarter. They’re confirmed internally for a debut in the second half of October with a single album. They’ll be given the chance to listen to the demos in early July and will record the single album throughout July and early August. In August, they’ll practice hard on their choreography for the title “Hocus Pocus” and the b-side “Be Ambitious”. They’ll be expected to work extra hard on all aspects of their debut preparation since they have a lot to live up to with Gold Star’s track record of girl group success. Comeback prep starts to wrap up in September for them. At the end of September, the group’s dance line will film a special cover video with Dingo as pre-debut promotion.
Important dates:
July 6: “16 Shots” dance cover filming (to be released: July 13).
July 9: “Baby Don’t Stop” dance cover filming (to be released: August 13).
July 20: “No Tears Left To Cry” dance cover filming (to be released: September 13).
July 23: “River” dance cover filming (to be released: September 20).
August 7: “Hocus Pocus” debut first fittings.
August 21: “Hocus Pocus” debut second fittings.
September 12: Be Ambitious! promotional single album photo book shoot.
September 25: Dingo Music debut song cover dance video filming (main dancer/vocal/rapper & main rapper/lead dancer/vocal only, to be released: October 6). *excluding Energetic & LATATA
September 30: “Hocus Pocus” M/V filming.
QUICKSILVER
The debut of Quicksilver is closer, but they have more time to prepare than Marigold, so Gold Star has arranged for them to get some additional training in the form of a pre-debut reality show that will be released shortly before their debut. For the show, they’ll be traveling to Los Angeles for two two-week periods to train at famous dance studios in the city. They’ll stay in a house rented out by the company and, in addition to training, they’ll show their team bonding through sightseeing locations such as Santa Monica Pier and Universal Studios and holding weekly group meetings. During their second two-week block, they’ll also focus on recording a pre-debut song and filming a low-budget music video for it in Los Angeles (*Junyoung’s lines will go to main rapper/lead dancer). They’ll film the performance videos they’d be rehearsing for before they leave, and in September, they’ll practice to film a cover of Knight’s “Growl”, which will also be released but will also serve as a way for Gold Star to gauge their improvement as a result of filming the reality show before they begin preparing for their debut more intensely next quarter.
Important dates:
July 8: Performance video I, II, & main dancer/lead vocal solo cover filming (to be released August 1, September 1, & October 1 respectively).
July 12-25: First block of American Training show filming.
July 24: Bonus Clip filming.
August 9-22: Second block of American Training show filming.
September 23: “Growl” cover video filming (to be released: November 1).

ꕤ ━━ SEIRA
“i don’t think i’ve ever been this hungry actually” though there was water everywhere, the weather was still so hot, and it made her hungry and thirsty. “i’m not sure either, if this is the best kimbap ever of if i’m just starving too much” she takes another bite, too big again, and it takes her a while to swallow. “no, i don’t think so? but maybe one day we’ll get to do a collab together” she shows the other a smile. it’s a big maybe, but seira chooses to stay optimistic, that they’ll both debut eventually, and seira will support the other once she does. “it makes no sense how hot it is when we’re constantly sprayed with water, it should cool us down, but i still feel so hot?”
"i think, maybe, it's a combination of all of the above," jiayi says laughing. she takes another big bite of food, barely chewing before she swallows. she laughs again, realizing that her and seira both are taking on way more than they can handle. "okay, okay. maybe we should slow down?"
she sets her food down on her lap, taking a moment to breathe. jiayi looks out at the crowd, people watching. "it's really hot, isn't it?" she lets out a sigh. "i didn't expect it to be this bad, honestly."

AUGUST 2020 DIMENSIONS ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULES & REVIEW
Members may earn 3 points each (up to 6 points) for writing, by the end of September 7 KST:
A solo para of 400+ words based on their monthly schedule (does not count toward your monthly total).
A thread of six posts (three per participant, including the starter) based on their monthly schedule.
Threads do not have to take place directly during an important date listed on the schedule, but must be related to what the muse is mentioned to be doing in the paragraph explaining their schedule/the company’s schedule for the month and/or their thoughts on the mentioned activities or lack thereof.
These schedules may be updated throughout the month if new information needs to be added.
Reminder: July schedule posts are due by the end of August 7 KST. Please do not post schedule posts in the fmdschedule tag.
OVERALL COMPANY
Last month’s photo sessions for the base Culture Complex were a success and it seems like the project is off to a solid start, although some idols may be called back in for reshoots, especially for the 3D imaging, as necessary this month. All of the idols under BC, Dimensions, and Gold Star have been tasked with a new duty for the building this month: filming videos that will accompany some of the museum exhibits. The videos will be once again filmed in a studio, this time in front of a green screen, and the idols will be asked to talk about their feelings about important career events like their trainee days, debut, song releases, and major achievements. They will be given all of the subjects they are expected to talk about beforehand to rehearse their answers, and the director may request different wording or delivery of their answers as seen fit. (admin note: Muns have freedom about the specific topics muses are asked to talk about here within the guidelines given above, but any talk about scandalous or negative occurrences will be avoided.)
Important dates:
August 1-August 31: base Culture Complex museum intro videos filming (admin note: muses may encounter idols from other companies while there).
DIMENSIONS SOLOIST 1
Her comeback single is recorded, so it’s time for her to get the choreography down and optimize her performance for the catchy dance performance and charisma she’s so known for. She also has her second fittings ahead of teaser shoots and music video filming next month to decide on the final comeback wardrobe, and at the end of the month, she’ll be joining the company’s other two soloists in Los Angeles for a weekend for KCON.
Important dates:
August 23: Second MV and stage outfit fittings.
August 29: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: Dimensions Soloist 2, Dimensions Soloist 3, 7ROPHY, and Gold Star Soloist 2).
DIMENSIONS SOLOIST 2
He holds two solo concert dates in Seoul this month, where he’ll include “When You Call My Name” in his set list to give his fans a preview of his next release (and so that Dimensions can monitor fan reactions and decide how much promotion budget to give the song). The following weekend, he’s off to Los Angeles with the rest of Dimensions’ soloist roster for another KCON, this time on the west coast of the US.
Important dates:
August 22: Zero concert at Yonsei University Main Auditorium in Seoul.
August 23: Zero concert at Yonsei University Main Auditorium in Seoul.
August 29: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: Dimensions Soloist 1, Dimensions Soloist 3, 7ROPHY, and Gold Star Soloist 2).
DIMENSIONS SOLOIST 3
She continues to rehearse for her upcoming solo concerts this month, and will continue to be filmed throughout them for her reality show. The domestic market is by far Dimensions’ focus for her now since she’s shown such potential success in it, but they’ve decided to send their full soloist roster to KCON LA this month, which means she’s giving her first solo performance overseas this month, too.
Important dates:
August 29: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: Dimensions Soloist 1, Dimensions Soloist 2, 7ROPHY, and Gold Star Soloist 2).
GAL.ACTIC
August brings their ninth anniversary since debut on the 28th, thought Dimensions hasn’t organized any event for the full group to celebrate for fans in lieu of hoping to raise anticipating for tenth anniversary activities next year. Members are still encouraged by management to put some extra thought into reaching out to fans this month, though. In the meantime, they continue preparing their comeback by learning and rehearsing the choreography for the title track and the choreography for b-side “Bad Man Crying”, and attending fittings as usual. From August 23 to 26, they’ll be in Los Angeles for a festival performance.
Important dates:
August 10: MV and stage outfit fitting.
August 25: Performance at Korea Times Music Festival at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA, USA (also performing: Decipher, Unity, and Fuse).
ALIEN
Alien continue music show promotions throughout the month, alongside a busy schedule of fan signs. The album does well, only improving on their past sales, and the song is received well by fans despite going mostly under the radar for the public as most of their releases have since the lawsuit. The end of promotions signal continued work on their first English album as they’ve been doing for the past year or so now, as they film the MV for ”Middle of the Night”, which they’ll have finished recording in the studio earlier in the month.
Important dates:
August 1: Fan sign in Gangnam, Seoul.
August 2: Fan sign in Yongsan, Seoul.
August 9: Fan sign in Mapo, Seoul.
August 10: Fan sign in Yeouido, Seoul
August 17: Fan sign in Gangnam, Seoul.
August 20: End of music show promotions.
August 21: “Middle of the Night” MV filming.
August 29: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: Knight, Alien, Lucid, and Gold Star Soloist 3).
MARS
Preparations for MARS’s Japanese comeback continue as they’re taught the choreography for “Can’t Say” in the early weeks of the month. The wardrobe is simple for the music video this time, so they won’t have full fittings before the filming day for the music video comes on the twentieth. Mid-month, MARS are also met with the news that they’ll be making a Korean comeback in the fourth quarter and they’ll record the album in the second half of the month with a return to form of what they’re most known for: a darker concept.
Important dates:
August 20: “Can’t Say” MV filming.
7ROPHY
7ROPHY are fully dedicated to focusing on filming Queendom this month. For the cover song task, they’ll be covering a song originally performed by the group the NPC Soloist competing on the show originally belonged to, so the stakes are high to prove what they’ve got, especially after coming off such a successful first round for them. Full details of Queendom filming for this month can be found here. From August 28 to August 30, they’ll be in Los Angeles to perform at KCON LA.
Important dates:
August 24: Queendom episode three & four filming (cover song stage).
August 27: Episode one of Queendom airs.
August 29: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: Dimensions Soloist 1, Dimensions Soloist 2, Dimensions Soloist 3, and Gold Star Soloist 2).
UNITY
It’s comeback season for Unity after a full year without a comeback and it seems the wait has paid off. The comeback earns them not only the best digital charting of their careers, but also A-tier boy group physical sales and a music show win. There’s no questioning that they’re now the best-selling boy group of the company physically, even if MARS still outdoes them in the public recognition that earns high digitals. Dimensions grows more eager than ever to see the heights Unity can reach as the month draws to a close, and the general attitude of staff around them reflects both the pressure and relief of a successful comeback.
Important dates:
August 7: “Kick It” MV reaction video filming.
August 7: Release of “Kick It” & Unity Zone album, music show promotions continue through September 7.
August 8: Fan sign in Mapo, Seoul.
August 9: Fan sign in Gangnam, Seoul.
August 15: Fan sign in Seocho, Seoul.
August 23: Fan sign in Songpa, Seoul.
August 25: Performance at Korea Times Music Festival at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA, USA (also performing: Decipher, Gal.actic, and Fuse).
August 29: Fan sign in Gangnam, Seoul.
↳ CHAMPION
As Decipher finishes promoting their comeback and Unity makes their own comeback, a hold is put on touring, but BC and Dimensions have managed to land the members of the sub-unit a deal with Korean Air and they’ll be recording a special CF song for a music and safety video collaboration to bring more international attention to Korean Air following CHAMPION”s success overseas and to bring more domestic attention to CHAMPION, who are still not wholly accepted as a unit by fans of their main groups.
Important dates:
August 27: Korean Air x CHAMPION “Let’s Go Everywhere” MV and Safety Video filming.
LUCID
Lucid wraps up their Welcome to The Dream World tour on the second and then they fly back to Seoul to finish preparing for their comeback. They film their music video on the sixth, but in addition to comeback rehearsals, they also begin rehearsing for their LOL Showcase tour, which will tour Asia and focus on the “normal realm” side of their concept instead of the nightmare one they just toured for. This tour is far less performance-focused due to having a more fanmeeting-style set list with games, longer talk sections, and a hi-touch at the end of each show, so the rehearsal period is much shorter. Their comeback on the seventeeth proves they weren’t a one-hit wonder as Navillera soars to the top of the charts like “Rough” did and “You and I” failed to.
Important dates:
August 2: Welcome to The Dream World concert at Teatro La Huaca in Panama City, Panama.
August 6: “Navillera” MV filming.
August 17: Release of “Navillera” & LOL album, music show promotions continue through September 17.
August 23: LOL Asia Showcase tour at Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul.
August 30: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: BC Soloist 1, Knight, Alien, and Gold Star Soloist 3)

AUGUST 2020 BC ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULES & REVIEW
Members may earn 3 points each (up to 6 points) for writing, by the end of September 7 KST:

Important dates:
August 1-August 31: base Culture Complex museum intro videos filming (admin note: muses may encounter idols from other companies while there).
BC SOLOIST 1
“Love U” promotions continue with fan signs, music show promotions, and an appearance on Weekly Idol to film. After her promotions end, she has two festivals squeezed into the very end of the month: one in Incheon and one in Los Angeles (KCON). She will fly straight out from Incheon following the conclusion of her performance at that festival in order to arrive in Los Angeles in time to check into her hotel and get in rehearsal before her performance at KCON on the thirtieth. At KCON, she’ll perform a special dance cover of Ariana Grande’s ‘God Is A Woman” that’s she prepared throughout the month and the dance practice, filmed before KCON, will be released the following day for fans.
Important dates:
August 2: Fan sign in Gangnam, Seoul.
August 5: Filming of Weekly Idol appearance (to be aired: August 12).
August 16: Fan sign in Mapo, Seoul.
August 29: End of music show promotions.
August 29: Performance at Incheon Airport Sky Festival (also performing: Fuse).
August 30: Performance [2] at KCON LA (also performing: Knight, Alien, Lucid, and Gold Star Soloist 3)
August 31: Release of “God Is A Woman Cover” dance practice.
DECIPHER
Music show promotions end on the thirteenth, but there’s a quick turn around on their comeback and the members are told before promotions even end that they’ve already been confirmed to make another comeback in November. They’ll hear the demos of the confirmed tracks shortly before “Love Paint” promotions end and then almost immediately after they do, they’ll be expected in the studio to record for their next mini-album. The album only contains two full-group songs, and the other four are solos for four of the group’s members as follows:
Maknae/main dancer/lead vocal: “Paradise”
Lead rapper/lead dancer/vocal: “Good Love”
Main rapper/vocal: “With”
Main vocal: “Happy Until Now”
Important dates:
August 13: End of music show promotions.
August 25: Performance at Korea Times Music Festival at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA, USA (also performing: Gal.actic, Unity, and Fuse).
↳ Decipher R & V
No schedules for the month.
Important dates:
N/A.
BEE
In the final two days before their comeback, BEE is in Hong Kong for the last of their Live Concert: B concerts. They return to Seoul on the tenth and go to their press showcase venue immediately from the airport. It doesn’t come as a surprise to most anymore that “Darling” does well on the charts and wins over the hearts of the public and neither fans nor the public seem all that opposed to the brighter sound in comparison to BEE’s most recent releases either. Fan signs and music show promotions continue for the members through the end of the month.
Important dates:
August 8: Live Concert: B concert at Star Hall in Hong Kong.
August 9: Live Concert: B concert at Star Hall in Hong Kong.
August 10: Release of “Darling” & Everyday 4 mini-album, music show promotions continue through September 10.
August 16: Fan sign in Songpa, Seoul.
August 23: Fan sign in Mapo, Seoul.
August 30: Fan sign in Yeouido, Seoul.
↳ 2BEE
No schedules for the month.
Important dates:

KNIGHT
Their new sub-unit makes their debut this month, but work on their comeback doesn’t cease since the members of CHAMPION are in Seoul this whole month. With the album recorded, August is designated as the month to learn and practice the choreography of the title track and b-side “Jekyll” until the group has them down by memory. From August 28 to August 31, all of the members will be in Los Angeles for their performance at this year’s KCON LA.
Important dates:
August 30: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: BC Soloist 1, Alien, Lucid, and Gold Star Soloist 3)
↳ White Knight
No schedules for the month.
Important dates:
N/A
↳ Knight Light
Knight Light makes their debut this month and while they may not have the digital appeal of the main group or White Knight, their album sales are the top of the top for a sub-unit, which had been more BC’s aim with the unit anyway. Three title tracks is a lot to promote nearly every day on music shows and since public appeal isn’t BC’s priority with this unit anyway, their debut promotions are limited to music shows and fan signs.
Important dates:
August 3: Release of “What A Life”, “Closer To You”, and “Just Us 2″ & What A Life mini-album, music show promotions continue through September 3.
August 4: Fan sign in Jongno, Seoul.
August 9: Fan sign in Mapo, Seoul.
August 16: Fan sign in Gangnam, Seoul.
August 23: Fan sign in Seocho, Seoul.
August 27: Fan sign in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul.
LIPSTICK
Queendom takes full priority for Lipstick’s schedules in August. The show hasn’t begun airing yet, so it’s hard to tell how it will due in ratings beyond the buzz it’s steadily creating in online communities, but BC hopes the show can bring a new surge of life into Lipstick’s fanbase before they make their next comeback. This month, the task is cover songs, and Lipstick will be covering the famous “Coming of Age Ceremony”, a song they’ve actually covered before, which could be a risk if their fans are bored of it, but has also been a crowd-pleaser when they performed it before. Full details of Queendom filming for this month can be found here.
Important dates:
August 24: Queendom episode three & four filming (cover song stage).
August 27: Episode one of Queendom airs.
↳ Lip Gloss
No schedules this month.
Important dates:
N/A
CHARM
CHARM continues to tour in the middle of the month, this time in Europe. The concert has been a success so far and this only seems to be continuing as the group wraps up their tour. The Berlin date marks the final one of the tour and BC doesn’t have plans for them to tour again until next spring, at which point they’ll embark on their first dome tour in Japan, at this point. Staff encourages CHARM to give their all for their final tour dates instead of letting the repetition get the best of them.
Important dates:
August 18: Ode To You tour concert at WiZink Center in Madrid, Spain.
August 20: Ode To You tour concert at La Seine Musicale in Paris, France.
August 23: Ode To You tour concert at The SSE Arena in London, England.
August 25: Ode To You tour concert at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany.
↳ CHARM U
No schedules for the month.
Important dates:
N/A
WISH
WISH’s tour continues with two more dates in Japan in August. Though they don’t have any more comebacks planned for this year, BC has decided to have them release a special single for their fifth anniversary that they won’t be promoting: “Downpour”, to accompany a special concert only open to official fanclub members they’ll also be holding around their anniversary. This month, they’ll record the song in the studio.
Important dates:
August 25: WISHlights Tour concert at Marine Messe Fukuoka in Fukuoka, Japan.
August 26: WISHlights Tour concert at Marine Messe Fukuoka in Fukuoka, Japan.

Info:
Yezi was born and raised in Gangneung, Gangwon Province. She studied at Kan Won-rae Dance School and learned dancing from Clon. Yezi traveled every weekend for four hours to Seoul to perform as a back-up dancer for singers like Hong Kyung-min and Park Mi-kyung. At first Yezi’s parents were agains her working in the entertainment industry, but they changed their minds once they saw how well Yezi was advancing. She was able to move to Seoul in her second year of middle school.
After one of LOEN Enterainment’s trainees saw Yezi’s videos posted on Cyworld, Yezi auditioned to said company. Those videos were the two most popular ones on the social network at the time. After Yezi had trained at LOEN for three years, she debuted as part of Fiestar in August 2012.
In 2015 it was announced that Yezi would take part of Unpretty Rapstar season 2. First Yezi was disliked by some viewers because she kept asking people to repeat themselves. Later it was revealed that Yezi has some hearing problems and Mnet had been editing the episodes so it would seem like Yezi had an attitude problem. Yezi became very popular after her fierce performance of “Crazy dog” on the show. Yezi was eliminated on episode 8, but she returned after winning revival round and took part in the semi-finals.
Yeti’s debut maxi single, Foresight Night, was releaser in 2016 January 28. It had four songs including “Cider, which Yezi promoted on many music shows. The single also included song “Sse Sse Sse” which featured Yezi’s fellow Unpretty Rapstar contestants Gilme, KittiB and Ahn Soo-min. Later that year on September Yezi released a single called “Chase” with singer Babylon.
In May 2017 Yezi returned with her third single “Anck SU Namum”. It was her first time of working as a producer of her album after her debut. Yezi participated in composing and writing lyrics and even worked on the choreography. The whole single was build around Yezi’s charms.
Random trivia:
When asked why Yezi wanted to take part in Unpretty Rapstar she said wanted to appear without pre-deaminated image of who she is.
Yezi criticized the producers of Unpretty Rapstar in her freestyle rap, but the rap was a edited out of the show and not broadcasted.
“Anck Su Namum” is the villain of the movie “The Mummy”. When Yezi researched her history she found out that this wasn't actually try in history. Yezi said that media likes to portray her as a villain sometimes too, but she actually isn’t someone who is angry “24 hours a day, 365 days a year”.
Yezi became interested in rapping after hearing Yoon Mirae rap.
Yezi appeared has appeared as back-up dancer in UI’s “You&I” music video and in Sunny Hill’s “Midnight circus* music video.

jiayi nods, feeling excited to perhaps make another friend before the night's over with. she's always been outgoing, but certainly the bright atmosphere and alcohol are helping to push her further out of her comfort zone. it's a fine group of girls, and the dancer has been having a great time celebrating. she'll almost never say no to going out.
"i think sunhwa's responsible for getting this whole group together," she laughs before stuffing her face full of rice. "i never knew how much of a social butterfly she was," the dancer laughs, making sure to not speak until she's finished chewing. "you go to university with her?" she asks, curious. "are you in the same major or are you just taking some dance classes as an elective?" jiayi inquires further into eunbin's life.
as someone who was always active in social gatherings in college, eunbin couldn't even recall what this specific dinner was for. nevertheless, there were a few familiar faces and a few that she's never met before, but that was nothing new. she thinks she's been invited to something like this at least three times in the last month.
she's sitting and enjoying her own drinks when the girl across the table from her sparks up a conversation first. "hey! i'm eunbin, it's nice to meet you." she can't recall the other's name, but she thinks she might have seen her before on a mutual friend's instagram page.
"oh, sunhwa also invited me! you dance with her, right? i think i've seen you on her instagram page before," eunbin mentioned before letting out a soft chuckle. "sunhwa and i had a few classes together, which is how i know her!"

Get into Hotshot
So someone suggested that I do an update of this and then someone separate asked me to do this and instead of just editing the ask I decided to just make this a separate post (this will be the last time i do this lol)
We’ll start with the members first :
This ray of sunshine and one of the most precious human beings is Hoshot’s Leader , main vocalist and Dad Junhyuk (Choi Junhyuk) ( and yes he refers to himself as “dad”

AUGUST 2020 GOLD STAR MEDIA SCHEDULES & REVIEW
GOLD STAR SOLOIST 1
She continues to have rehearsals for her upcoming concert tour throughout the month, as well as meetings on things like the tour concept and any updates about the concerts management may have for her. Around mid-month, she’ll go in to have her fittings for her tour wardrobe to ensure all outfits are fit for moving on stage and to narrow down the selections to the final wardrobe set.
Important dates:
August 11: Love Poem tour outfit fittings.
GOLD STAR SOLOIST 2
At the end of the month, she’s returning to KCON, this time on the west coast of the US instead of the east in Los Angeles. She’ll be in the city from August 25 to August 30, with some extra time before the night she performs as Gold Star has set her and her team up to meet with some producers and potential business connections within Hollywood.
Important dates:
August 29: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: Dimensions Soloist 1, Dimensions Soloist 2, Dimensions Soloist 3, and 7ROPHY).
GOLD STAR SOLOIST 3
It’s the last full month before he releases his first English album and makes his comeback, so he’s tasked with fittings mid-month to prepare to shoot his album photos and teasers a week later. At the end of the month, he’s headed out of Seoul to Los Angeles to once again perform at KCON, this time on the west coast. The release date of his album will be announced by then, so he’s expected by Gold Star to promote it as much as he can during the event to let any new US fans he may gain know about it.
Important dates:
August 15: MV and teaser outfit fittings.
August 22: Album teaser photo shoot.
August 30: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: BC Soloist 1, Knight, Alien, and Lucid).
SILHOUETTE
Gold Star is very pleased with Silhouette’s comeback results. They got a weekly number one, earned themselves music show wins, and earned critical praise for both the concept of their comeback and the stage presence and talent it allowed them to show, returning to them some of the glory of their rookie days. A repackage in the form of a special edition album was up for debate a few months ago, but has easily been given the go ahead now and the members will record the additional song and single for the repackage this month. “Cleansing Cream” is a turn in concept from ‘Sixth Sense” as a vulnerable ballad, but Gold Star is putting trust in Silhouette as their most experienced group to pull it off.
Important dates:
August 3: End of music show promotions.
ARIA
Aria is dedicating all of their attention to Queendom this month. They’ll be covering their labelmate senior Silhouette’s latest release “Sixth Sense”, which is a big risk fresh off of the public seeing the original performers make the song a hit, and even with their maturing image over the years, the concept is far from what anyone expects from Aria. Full details of Queendom filming for this month can be found here.
Important dates:
August 24: Queendom episode three & four filming (cover song stage).
August 27: Episode one of Queendom airs.
ORIGIN
Origin makes their comeback with their single on August 14 and they’ll continue to promote the song up until a few days before the release of their album and a new single that will send them through the routine of music show promotions all over again. Origin will be in the US from August 22 to August 26 in order to do some promotions in Los Angeles, including a live radio interview with an audience and content for an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, including filming for a Carpool Karaoke video that will be released during “On” promotions next month.
Important dates:
August 7: Release of “Shadow” comeback trailer.
August 14: Release of “Black Swan”, music show promotions continue through September 14.
August 24: iHeartRadio Live Interview in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
August 25: Carpool Karaoke filming in Los Angeles, CA, USA (to air in September).
August 25: Performance and appearance [2] on The Late Late Show with James Corden in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
IMPULSE
August is spent promoting their latest comeback with music show appearances and fan signs, along with an appearance on Weekly Idol. As expected from a group whose fanbase has only grown since debut, their album outsells their last, which is enough to make Gold Star happy, even if they fall victim to the less impressive digital performance of most boy groups.
Important dates:
August 1: Fan sign in Jongno, Seoul.
August 2: Fan sign in Gangnam, Seoul.
August 9: Fan sign in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul.
August 12: Filming of Weekly Idol appearance (to air August 19).
August 16: Fan sign in Songpa, Seoul.
August 17: Fan sign in Gangnam, Seoul.
August 24: Fan sign in Gangnam, Seoul.
August 27: End of music show promotions.
↳ PULS2
The leader and the maknae are called into a meeting with management on August 3 and are told they’ve been officially confirmed as Impulse’s first sub-unit, which will promote under the name PULS2 (’pulse’, with the S2 stylized as a heart in their logo). It’s possible it doesn’t come as much of a surprise from all of the whispers around Gold Star for the past several months, and the fact both members have been suggested in particular to work on songs together with Gold Star’s producers in the past few months if they wanted to, but the official announcement means they get to know the final track list decided for the album and will get to recording the final vocals for all of the tracks this month.
Important dates:
August 3: Meeting with management.
FUSE
Gold Star doesn’t arrange anything to officially celebrate Fuse’s anniversary, but it passes with plenty of fanfare from the fans nonetheless. Leading up to the end of the month, the girls are kept busy with rehearsals for their comeback and for two festival performances they’re booked to perform at in the days leading up to their comeback. They make their comeback on the 31st and earn praise for their release this time around, as it seems to be favored by the broader public over “Zimzalabim” and “Umpah Umpah”.
Important dates:
August 25: Performance at Korea Times Music Festival at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA, USA (also performing: Decipher, Gal.actic, and Unity).
August 29: Performance at Incheon Airport Sky Festival (also performing: BC Soloist 1).
August 31: Release of “Psycho” & The Fuse Festival Finale album, music show promotions continue through September 30.
ELEMENT
After passing their third anniversary, this month, the members of Element are granted a gift in the form of their first official extended vacation since debut from August 2 to August 15. During this time, the members will be freed from any group schedules (any solo schedules will still need to be attended) and they will be permitted to travel abroad if they wish as long as they are accompanied by a manager.
Important dates:
N/A
FEMME FATALE
Their Japanese album releases this month, but with a break in their touring schedule, the Femme Fatale members are thrown into rehearsals and other preparations for a different stage: their first ever fan meeting that they’ll be holding in October. They’ll be performing all of the songs off of their EP as well as “Whistle” and ‘As If It’s Your Last”. Each member will also either be assigned a solo or duo stage as follows
Main rapper/lead vocal: Best Part
Main vocal/lead dancer & maknae/main dancer/lead rapper: “L.O.V.E”
Lead vocal: “Stay”
Important dates:
August 19: Release of Kill This Love -JP Ver.-.

jiayi has taken some time adjusting to becoming a trainee again. ultimately, she enjoys the flow of everything - a set schedule keeping her on track and goals to reach pushing her to work hard. it's a similar, yet different experience compared to her last company. the people here are more willing to work with her, train her. she's not being shoved into a group last minute and pushed to debut as quickly as possible.
the presence of someone sliding into the next seat doesn't startle her, but she's intrigued at the stranger's bold choice. jiayi looks up to find ara seated next to her, and offers the trainee a bright smile.
"long time no see," she replies, agreeing with the other's sentiment. "how have you been? how has sr media been treating you?"
interwoven
she had to cut a bit of hours back on her workplace, but it was worth it. ultimately, yes. ara was glad she was done with school, which meant now she could balance out work and her training schedule. it really wasn't about the money, but moreso about keeping her relation with the kids and studio. backup plans, backup plans!
ah well, fancy seeing jiayi here, but of course, she didn't expect anything less from a good former teammate. at the axis studios, she's bound to run into other trainees here. they hadn't exchanged information but ara thinks this might be a good chance for her to nab the other trainee's information if they wanted to. after being out of the competition, things were much less heated and they were all seated in their own roles, after all. she subtly slides into a spot beside jiayi, which if jiayi didn't sense her there, she may be annoyed because the practice room was rather empty after all, and of all the places, ara had chosen the one spot that was occupied. "hello @bejiayi," ara says a bit too formally before letting that ice melt immediately. surely there didn't need to be any breaking of the ice when they'd worked together before. "it's been a while since we've run into each other, i was wondering when it would finally happen!"
