DIGIMON CON 2024 Date Set!

Get ready, Bandai has just announced the date for DIGIMON CON 2024, which seeks to be a celebration of all things Digimon, presenting a wide range of content for the enjoyment of people all over the world who love Digimon.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 10th, 2024 starting at 12:00 JST, or Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at 7:00 PM PST, 10:00 PM EST. DIGIMON CON 2024 will be streaming live on the Digimon Official YouTube channel per usual.

This year is the 25th anniversary of Digimon, Chinatsu Sakamoto, who plays Agumon, Mayumi Yamaguchi, who plays Gabumon, and Kacho Shigematsu, who plays Biyomon, are also scheduled to appear!

★ magical witches - bandai 1998 ★

in 1998 - a year after the first series of digital monsters (digimon) virtual pet toys were released - bandai designed a series of book shaped witch themed toys, magical witches! (マジカルウィッチーズ Majikaru Wicchīzu)

character designer watanabe kenji, who also did work on tamagotchi and digimon, was involved in the development of these toys.

interestingly, when digimon evolved into a whole franchise, the setting of magical witches became tied into it as well, with witchelny being said to be another digital world and the one that wizardmon (and its rival - witchmon) is originally from. the magic in witchelny is equivalent to advanced coding languages, of which wizardmon mastered the sorcery of fire and earth, while witchmon mastered wind and water.

im a big wizardmon fan SO finding out about magical witches a few years ago was a treat for me. im rather fond of them and their art direction, and how it even got tied into digimon, it appeals specifically to me. i like it a lot.

Hey y’all! Ragnarok the Motimon evolved to KoKabuterimon as planned! Also my sibling @rhyminraccoon​ is playing DVPet now too so that’s exciting! Wishing them luck on their Keramon!  Current stats for Ragnarok under the cut :)

I got my Blue Digimon 20th Pendulum today and gave my brother @rhyminraccoon my Black one So no more Piedmon/HKabuterimon :( Now we have Bukamon!
She is gonna hopefully be a Ganimon in 3-4 hours or so! I’m gonna get her 2-3 care Mistakes first though

VPets are poorly documented online :(

I love Vpets, and it's really frustrating about how little documentation there is online about different pets- there's no well-maintained sources for vpet collectors (that I've found) where you can go to exclusively find news on new Vpets and read info about old ones. Everything focuses solely on tamagotchi and digimon. I think it's especially difficult for vpet fans outside of Japan, where there's an additional language/import barrier for most pets.

This is an interest check to find anyone who might want to help change that. I'm thinking about creating a community wiki and a Tumblr blog to track and document all kinds of rad, niche Vpets :) message me or reply to this post or something if you'd be interested in contributing to this project!! And if you want, reblog to spread the word to other vpet collectors.

Collection Updates

So first of all, I just wanted to announce that I bought a Smart!!

I used amazon jp to buy it as I heard positive experiences from other UK buyers plus it was cheaper than what was on ebay. They supposedly handle all the custom fees and include them in the shipping fee which is a relief. I also took the opportunity to buy the rainbow friends sma card as it was on there for a cheap price. I hope to buy the melody one when it comes out too. I'll try to post when everything arrives :D

Additionally, I also bought my first digimon! Its a red and black digimon X. I haven't taken it out the box yet.

I will definitely run it when I get the time though I am really excited about the 'quest' mode it has. I have watched some videos to teach my how to use it and its exciting to try something new outside the usual tamagotchi formula :D.

Sorry I haven’t been very active on here lately, I blame Animal Crossing, but I’m back and I recently ran my Digimon Mini V.3.0 with the sole intention of getting Coelamon. Mission successful.

I’m currently running my Octo-Pets, I started with an alien which glitched into a penguin(?!), so I’ve reset it and I now have a dinosaur. It seems to be running better now and I’ve had no glitches for a couple of days so I should be posting photos of him when he reaches adulthood in another couple of days.

Bandai Announces DIGIMON CON 2024!

Not much information here, but in a tweet from the official Digimon account, Bandai has announced that DIGIMON Con is returning for 2024! Historically the virtual event streamed live on YouTube takes place in February, but this year the date and time has yet to be announced.

In fact, there really isn’t any information about DIGIMON CON yet. All we know is that it is returning. Fans have been speculating that a new Digimon game may be announced, we shall see soon!

DVPET (Tournament Mode): Ragnarok the Bolgmon. ------------------------------ Hey y’all! I totally got SUPER busy and forgot to post a picture of our evolution Blitzmon!

But he’s evolved again since then to Bolgmon! :D

We’re on our way to Mega+ :D They’ve been pretty good so far, I’ve done a little battling with my sibling and just barely won :) Stats under the cut!

A lot has happened with my Pendulum!

Let’s start with Devimon She evolved to Myotismon Tuesday around 3:40 AM Then when I woke up I realized she could probably Jogress but I didn’t have another device to do it with. Then I realized the Copymon might count?? And they did?? So my Skullgreymon Copymon Jogressed with Myotismon and formed Piedmon which I immediately regretted because I didn’t get to see any of Myotismon’s animations! Whoopsies! At least I got a picture of her sleeping in her little coffin! I paused her until Megakabuterimon evolved.

Kabuterimon evolved Monday morning to Megakabuterimon and I really meant to make a post about it but I’ve been distracted with work! He was taken care of with full effort Hearts and no care Mistakes and evolved today Wednesday at 3:00 pm to HeraclesKabuterimon.

Also worth mentioning that I’m going to give this Pendulum to my brother @rhyminraccoon and he helped me order a Blue one because I want the Deep Saver group for my favorite Digimon (which you’ll find out later ;) ) so these two babies won’t be here forever!
