It's my Birthday and I'll post what I want to...

Anycase, my Sona as a mer and Moon in a... situation. There is an explanation beyond the picture, but will I tell you, no... just enjoy the art. Or don't... I don't dictate your art tastes.

Next picture is just a little bit of fun. Hæfen from my WIP original work "Savior Complex" alongside Pebbles and The Survivor. All of them are smol... the other picture is more a bonus and actually my oldest picture for the Rain World fandom... from before I even had my own designs or anything for everyone.

I just discovered that the Iterators and Scugs were smol and was like "OMG, They're Hæfen sized" and went from there... and anyone who remembers Hæfen and the roleplay blog back in the day, they are very Smol.

Anycase this was all for fun.

Finally, only under read more because people will get funny... obligatory Catboi-Pebbles.

Also genuinely, drawing it all I could think was "Damn this actually makes me think of my old gymnastics leotard" so yeay?

So... I got my laptop back for the immediate future and the first thing I do... Well, here. The first image is actually a *redraw* of an old piece of artwork, and the second is a more... eye friendly picture of my Rainbow mew gang... I am... Incredibly pleased with both of these images and well, decided hey, why not share them? Along with the fact that yes, I am still alive nobody who cares panic.

But yeah.

First image shows Hybrid, or Hæfen as they’re now called/known as at the moment that it all went wrong prior to Savior Complex. As in, that image, is basically the moment that the plot kicked into gear. And I am so pleased with it... but yeah.

And second... well it’s just my rainbow mews.

I decided to practice drawing some skeletons and explore the differences in style between them... Because apparently I do various styles depending on what I’m drawing for... So we’ve got a trio here...

And I’ll be honest, feels like it’s been ages since I drew Sans or the Gravedigger, so it’s nice to see those two here... And Hector! From Coco, because fun. So yeah, this is just drawing practice really, and having some fun.

Today on characters who I never expected to really be Aromantic until I decided to flesh them out more and explore more about them. This is Fiona Flynn. Maybe you’ll recognize her, maybe you won’t but she’s one of the side characters from my blog with Hæfen/Hybrid. 

Their older sister. And the one who in prior instances I’ve mentioned going out and date people... but-- exploring her more. It’s either reference point for her Crime Novels... or-- her trying to capture that feeling media tells her she should have. But nope!

So yeah. Also, this picture, could be alternatively titled, in which I attempt some other framing positions.

Day 29, and let’s let the spook have his moment in the lime-light... haha, kind of literally there. So let’s go with him, the little spook of mystery at Hybrid’s School, at Greenview Park Primary. 

For anyone curious, who he actually is and relevant details are to me as much of a mystery as they generally are to you, although I’m finding out what his story is. Because yeah. Can’t leave a mystery you know...

For OC-Tober!

With a bonus ficlet

It’s howling at the moon. It’s rattling branches that scratch and bang on the windows. It’s the creek of forgotten stairs in an abandoned house, it’s footsteps in the darkness of the basement. It’s the ticking of an old grandfather clock and the bubbling of a cauldron over a warm fire. It’s the flickering of a candle about to go out, and...

It’s the off shade of everything being slightly wrong that comes with three AM in the morning. And it’s absolutely perfect for the one who wanders in the shadows and lurks just out of view. Glowing eyes watching from the darkness. From the corners where light doesn’t reach. Fangs glint just barely out of view, and something shifts.

Under the view of the waning moon overhead someone moves. A cloak with the hood up, soundless footsteps, and weirdly enough, anyone glancing in their direction might notice that they seem to lack a shadow. Silent travel, and as they step into the shadows ahead they simply disappear. Leaving people wondering if they had even been there to begin with. Shaking their heads people move on.

Only the small shimmering, the veil between this reality and the next lets the truth be known.

A school, a building that should be empty this late. And yet here the cloaked figure reappears, sweeping their hood back and blinking up at the building. Small fangs peeking out of his mouth he turns around and crosses his arms over his chest. Waiting. He doesn’t have to wait long as the old school bell begins to toll, letting the sound ring loud and strong over the empty street. Charging it with an odd kind of energy.

The boy in front of the school seems to smirk, before he turns and within a moment has disappeared deep in the halls of the old building. Not to reappear until the next night.

Look it’s Roadie. A background character from something ancient... well okay it’s from 2012 but wow. This is Roadie, and he never really appeared beyond a slight off hand mention in regards to other kids captured by Them and well, yeah. He was never named, or described, and the only other thing of importance that he had was in regards to Twelve’s backstory, which was never really expanded on in story anyway. 

So yeah, enjoy today’s OC-Tober. I’ll probably do a more well known character of mine tomorrow.

Soooo I found the original plot outline stuff for Kingdom of the Sun today! 

And straight up I have-- opinions, regarding why I’m assuming it was thrown out, but also just here like. There is ONE glaring flaw in this plot, among the many other issues-- Buuuut then I’m also here like, I would have loved to see the inaccuracies(and cultural insensitivities) just shredded. You know?!

And it’s also left me with questions to chase down the path of research just in the context of like-- cultural figures used(and given the usual white people’s lens that ugh), and just like-- in regards to another franchise that I’ve fallen into I now have... befuddlement.

One of the figures mentioned in that outline was Supai/Supay(?), who’s the Inca god over the underworld. Death, demons, those who dig into the Earth.

Good stuff you know!

But-- I’m actually here like, so wait-- what does that mean for the interactions with our “lost” mummies residing in Paititi, and the one we follow considering on a technicality they’re dead? 

And then like, does that mean their Golden Idol is like a god group project?! I would love to hear more perspective on this.

As an aside, just generally for Emperor’s New Groove/Kingdom of the Sun, just toss out the Llama transformation maybe?! And forced binary(good vs evil) views. Ugh.

Because it's Star Wars day, and well... It's kind of fun. So here, Avatar and Hybrid, with glitter all around to remember. Because hey. So yeah. Also colour coded sabers for each of them... which I may, or may not explain later... who knows. Just wait and see.

In celebration of chapter two coming out I made a quicky sprite of Bendy, and just because I was having fun, I also made one of Hybrid... My OC. Because that’s what happens I guess.

Man, now I remember why I never attempted to make a full on Conlang before, it’s really, hard, but I am determined to have at least something workable to reference before NaNoWriMo actually starts so that I can have these character’s speaking their language without it being inconsistent! And because I have dedicated myself to this!

Now I shall also go and cry about this because so much to think about before really settling it.

Grammar Rules, sounds, general insults, which includes ones with no direct translation... unique pronouns and ways of referring to people, important things.... etc. But at the same time, I do love a good challenge!

More Jimmy Jackal.

With a bonus Bendy. Because haha. This was fun, really fun. Don’t worry about today’s look back. It’ll be here in a bit. I just need to finish up. Also the Jimmy and Bendy picture is kind of a joke. An inside joke to me.

Because Bendy belongs to his own studio and Jimmy would belong to a completely different studio. So it’s like a special crossover, haha. You know. Fun right.

Okay, time for Julius. First up, straight up, he’s my little mismatched baby. No fashion sense, and it’s only partially because when I originally made him I had no concept of clashing colours... And even then, most of my older characters were easier on the eyes, Most. Although to be fair, I originally made Julius when I was nine/ten. So he’s eh.

I mean, the weird thing is, the story he was for. A Prophecy Rediscovered was supposed to be for a school thing, but I never finished it because I go so frustrated and annoyed with the whole thing and I just continually would scream about it, because there was just something about the whole concept that rubbed me wrong. But, I still love Julius. Because he’s such an awkward dork of a baby character. I wanted a character who I could relate to at the time.

So Outcast, odd and someone who just didn’t fit in. Friendless Julius was made to basically be the social outcast that I felt like. With added adorable traits regarding the design of him more than anything else. His colour coordination, the sunnies he always wears because of light sensitivity, and small other things. Long hair because it amused me... and well if I had to talk about personality, in one word it would be nerd. Because he was always at the books, and trying to figure stuff out... in fact that was the original lynchpin to the plot of the story.

He found a book containing an old forgotten prophecy that never came true because the person who the prophecy regarded disappeared under mysterious circumstances. And so the story continued with him trying to find out more and eventually summoning(by accident) the original person noted in the prophecy.

Which was also why it was broken, because paradoxes and all that... Although to be fair, someone from the future having a summons accident and pulling a person from the past there was linear since they weren’t ever going to be able to get back to the past... instead the prophecy was going to continue in the modern time of the story and well... Julius was going to learn more about how to socialize, make friends and also to stand up for himself.

Really though, I can’t particularly say much about him, because again he’s from a story I haven’t touched in years... although the last time was in 2012 so it’s not too bad, but it’s still bad.

So continuing on, I suppose I should explain a bit more. So Julius was from a universe where everyone had magic, whether by choice or not, they all had magic. And they were under the rule of an alien species that was supposed to be defeated years and years ago... but the prophecy apparently broke because the one supposed to save Mankind disappeared under mysterious circumstances... and as mentioned Julius actually accidentally was the cause of those circumstances... which was an accident in summoning class...

Which well fair enough am I right?

So Julius was also supposed to be a magical prodigy despite the fact that he was in school, and just learning. He was supposed to be getting considered for another grade skip, and moving ahead... though not better than the teachers, it’s more that he’d ask all the best questions and stay inside during recess to ask even more questions, or study in the library. Which did nothing for his social life to say the least, and led to him actually feeling kind of like Brainy Smurf honestly...

A little know it all social outcast. Although he was much better, not shoving things down everyone else’s throat. Not bragging. No he was more content in the shadows...

As for abilities. As I mentioned, he was much weaker than the teachers. Due to age, experience and general regards to the growth of magic in the world. Which was also balanced compared to his classmates who were mostly older than him, therefore they had more magic to spare. So I balanced his abilities to some degree...

Now what else could I mention... not much really. Because I just wanted a dorky, awkward protagonist at the time, who would be a balancing point to the Chosen One of the setting. Taraisa Shrewbolt. And that was what Julius was. Since she was the opposite to him, spunky, energetic and eager to get out and explore the world.

Although they both had issues with socializing and with Taraisa being the Chosen One she had some issues regarding responsibility and expectations. Also she was low-key stressed out all the time. Especially since the time she came from... well she wasn’t in school. Too busy being trained as the Chosen One... But that was the only fun thing I can recall. Awkward meet awkward and boom.

Not much more I can say about this. Because I’ve really said all that I could about Julius. So done.

This is Mono. They're a catfish. Because I was going around checking out people's original species recently, doing research stuff for my own and I fell in love with this particular species made by Scuterr  So I made up Mono here. Since it's an open species and doesn't cost me anything more than mentioning the person who created them... which is honestly fair dinckum dandy you know. Thus far, I don't have much planned out for Mono, though they will be making a special guest appearance in my fanfiction for Warrior Cats, Frosted Tinder. So watch out for that. The ref sheet for their species is here enjoy. Also up above her is her egg, just because I though it would be fun to include it.
