It’s so funny bc I was utterly blown away by Rio Grande after listening to only Dear Wormwood for a month, and then when I finally got to around to listening to the full anemoi albums I was like holy crap Rio Grande isn’t even close to as great as some of these songs like they're just THAT good. If u can beat my expectations after already blowing me away with Dear Wormwood, then beat my expectations AGAIN?? The Oh Hellos have my utmost respect they're amazing musicians. Also this is NOT bashing on Dear Wormwood, when I say I like one of The Oh Hellos’ songs better than another one of their songs it means that song is peak and the other song somehow manages to be even more peak I love them all <3

Okie now I have to know - what are your favourite Oh Hellos songs overall and what are your faves from each album specifically?? :))
Alrighty here we go!! So my fav Oh Hellos song overall is Soldier, Poet, King, everyone loves that song already tbh but for a good reason, it's just hella catchy and iconic !! :D From the string solos of the opening/ending to O lei, o lai, o lord it instantly transports me to some place new, unknown, but charming enough for me to want to stay.
Now for my fav songs from each album, Four Winds and Dear Wormwood included...
Dear Wormwood: Thus Always to Tyrants, something about this track makes me feel hopeful about, well, everything. Though it may sound cliche I felt like an entirely different person while I listened to it for the first time.
Notos: Constellations, if the person/pet that came into your room to wake you up early at sunrise was a song, and I mean this in a good way sdfgsdf. It's hard not to think of the late hours of day and night with this track, so the title is pretty self-evident.
Eurus: O Sleeper, I love the progression of this one! it's pretty calm and grand for the first parts like Constellations and then it gets really into the pacing and instrumentals by the middle, then back to calm. Songs from the Oh Hellos always feel like stories you read/listen to before bed and this definitely ain't an exception.
Boreas: Boreas :) it might be apparent through my own songs, but I think I just lean towards liking more easygoing (sorta) and calmer music more?? but yeah i thought this song was beautiful first time listening and idk why i like how the guitar is used here, since other Oh Hellos songs have greater guitar riffs, but I just like it on this song especially.
and finally Zephyrus: Soap. I have LOTS of fun listening to this song 'cause it is a fun song itself :D I find the lyrics of Soap to be one of my most favorites out of all the ones in the post, also love the tune of the riff!
Truth is I haven't listened to all of the "Through the Deep Dark Valley" album yet or their self-titled EP yet, so gonna have to wait a bit on that,,
