I've been getting into Tamagotchi again after many years... They're so cute. I barely remember my time with the original gen 1 as a kid, but I have many fond memories of the Tama games on the NDS 🥺

love at first sight

let's be real, only children believe in "love at first sight." but you're a hopeless romantic probably sitting around in coffee shops waiting to meet "the one." and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. infatuation at first sight is more accurate. you are the moment when two people lock eyes, and the whole world stills. nothing is there but you and them. and there is suddenly a strong sense of longing. you love love, don't deny it. flowers, chocolates, the whole nine yards. because of this you are loved by many. hopefully you know it too: you are loved.

the almost kiss

you're unsure about things, always hesitating. why is that? maybe there's something to lose for you, but maybe (just maybe) the risk is worth it. you're the moment when the main characters lean in, lips parted and almost touching. but it's not the actual kiss everyone loves, it's the anticipation. when they look into each other's eyes before their lids flutter close. and there's a lot of frustration when things are interrupted. trust me though, you're a lot more memorable than the actual kiss. you're nervous, but at the end of the day all you want is to be loved.

Tamagotchi Crossover Series: #1 - Tamabocchi!

Lately I’ve been working on some crossovers with the Tamaverse.

I really like Tamagotchi’s concept even though I’m not sure of having ever owned one.

I used to play Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop, a Nintendo DS game, and loved it. I always played with Mametchi, but I also liked Kuchipachi and Memetchi!

Having a real Tamagotchi sounds kinda stressing to me, as it’s my responsibility to keep it alive and well, so I admire those who are willing to have one!

For now, I’ll stick to drawing Tama-inspired things and daydream about my own Tamagotchi. Have a nice Tamatuesday!

Bandai Releases Tamagotchi Animation Series on Social Media

Bandai has partnered up with Study Yusaku, a Japanese illustrator who mainly draws simple line characters, animals, people, and more. There are four video in the series posted to Bandai’s official Instagram and Twitter accounts.

The first video titled "Spice Things Up!" focuses on the food you feed your Tamagotchi character, and how they like eating other things.

The second video titled "Bulk Up Tamagotchi!?" focuses on a mysterious object falling from the sky! Mametchi, Mimitchi, Kuchipatchi, and Memetchi try to figure out how to use it, only to end up in disaster.

The third video titled "I Must Bloom Where I Have Been Planted de Gozaru" focuses on the growth and evolution of your Tamagotchi character, and all that is happening behind the scenes. This one is a little spooky!

The fourth video titled "We All Grow Up" focuses on the lovable side of your Tamagotchi character as they adjust to each humans lifestyle. This is the only video to feature a Tamagotchi Uni.

These videos are super adorable, and Study Yusaki’s work is simply incredible! Yes sure to watch all of them!

DEVIL DIARY: Conclusion

It's with a heavy heart that I have to announce Devil Mametchi passed away.

This is the first time I've ever gotten the bad ending on the Devilgotchi. It honestly kind of stings that I lost him this way since he's always been my favorite little guy. I've just been so absent-minded lately...

Drawing Every Mario Kart Character Pt. 4 - Mario Kart Arcade GP Series!

Underdiscussed that these are the first guest characters in the series. While Mametchi and Don-chan didn't appear until GP 2 and DX respectively I felt like going out of order to have the Namco crew together

I got Mametchi in the mail today... and with that, I have the FULL SET of Gen 1 and Gen 2 Tamagotchi cybies from the 90's, if you don't know, these are a bit like beanie babies, which were also wildly popular at the time, there were a lot of imitators. I had some Nintendo, Banjo Kazooie, and Pokemon beanie dolls. Still have some of them even.

It's interesting to me that all of them are based on their USA artwork, but Mametchi is colored to match his Japanese artwork, however, each character has a tag that has their stock artwork on it, and Mametchi used his light blue USA colors. Wonder what was up with that?

I know there are also Tamagotchi Angel cybies, but every listing for them is like over 100 dollars for one doll, so i'm not even going to bother.

Also there was Digimon cybies in the works but it sadly seems like they got cancelled. What a shame, I would have ate them up.
