and what if Fish is mtf or transfem and her parents somewhat support it. Not like they're against it, they let her grow her hair out do the things she needs to but they think the name she chose is silly and call her the female name they had prepared for her when she was born (like parents have a boy and girl name depending on what the baby is).

Which is why she acts the way she does, because if someone asks her why her parents call her a different name she can act with confidence. She can answer as a princess that's she's always wanted to be called as a kid. Say that some of the common folk have confused her with some plebian something anything so that people will see her as who she is.
