okay ranking fall out boy’s discography:

1. folie à deux - #1 forever...i have so much personal attachment to this album!!! it has the best quality AND the best memories associated with it. i listened to it when i visited chicago at age 15 and it def brought so much meaning to the lyrics about lake michigan and formed part of my personality, etc. top 3 tracks: 3. 20 dollar nose bleed, 2. (coffee’s for closers), 1. disloyal order of water buffaloes

2. from under the cork tree - this is just an album full of absolute bangers. i listened to it later when i was getting into fob so it’s not my earliest or most prominent memory associated with them but it’s the album i come back to to casually listen to all the time. top 3 tracks: 3. a little less sixteen candles, a little more touch me, 2. sophomore slump or comeback of the year, 1. 7 minutes in heaven (atavan halen).

3. save rock and roll - this was the blueprint. it was the first album i listened to when i discovered them and obviously affected me the most lol (i still remember the first time i heard the song alone together on pandora and immediately rushed to my mom’s computer to look them up). i think the tracks are a little weaker than the other albums now but i still look back on it so fondly. top 3 tracks: 3. the phoenix, 2. alone together, 1. save rock and roll.

4. infinity on high - this is similar to FUTCT in that im not super emotionally attached to it but i think it has a lot of great quality songs. love it. top 3 tracks: 3. hum hallelujah, 2. “the take over, the breaks over,” 1. bang the doldrums.

5. american beauty, american psycho - i was in the height of my fall out boy obsession when this album came out so i was SUPER excited for it! then once i heard it i was pretty disappointed because the sound was so different from what i had gotten used to. looking back though i am nostalgic for it and there are some songs that i definitely love. top 3 tracks: 3. jet pack blues, 2. fourth of july, 1. the kids aren’t alright.

6. take this to your grave - i could never actually get into this album as much as i wanted to. to this day i look at some of the titles like huh?? thats a fob song? i do rly like the songs i know from it so idk what’s up! top 3 tracks: 3. saturday, 2. homesick at space camp, 1. grand theft autumn / where is your boy.

7. mania - i really don’t like this album lol. i only like 3 songs enough to listen to and REALLY only 1 enough to seek out. top 3 tracks: 3. church, 2. wilson (expensive mistakes), 1. heaven’s gate.

HONORABLE MENTIONS (not on main albums):

1. yule shoot your eye out!! i love this song so much and i have no idea why

2. nobody puts baby in the corner (acoustic)! good shit!

3. hand crushed by a mallet (remix) by 100 gecs [feat. fall out boy]. listen i know they’re only on it for the very beginning but it’s enough to make me go crazy.
