thinking about soulmates. how you have a set person that’s destined to understand you no matter what. a set soul, even, you guys could be animals and you’d still find each other because you were made for each other. but just because you’re destined for each other doesn’t mean you’ll be together. in the last life you guys could never be a day apart, always together. but if you’re unlucky in the next life you guys could be oceans apart. metaphorically too, your soulmate could be right across town and there’s something pulling them to you, you’re sure of it, but circumstances keep you separate. there’s a part of you aching to find that person, aching to reach out to them and fill that missing gap.

then again just because you’re soulmates, just because you’re perfect for each other in every way, it doesn’t mean you’ll instantly click when you mean again. it’ll take work to get back to where you use to be and you can only hope you won’t have to go through all that work in your next life
