anakin and obi-wan's relationship is so important to me.... obi-wan being 25 trying to teach anakin who was 9, traumatized beyond belief, obi-wan seeing the light in this kid and trying so hard to help him and let him heal only for anakin to be thrust into knighthood at 19, given a padawan of his own... his little brother, forced to bear so much weight so needlessly, and then to have to watch him Fall... and anakin who so desperately wants to keep his loved ones safe (to save those who he could not before), loving so intensely he can't help but to crumble under the weight of it all, careless of his own well being so long as the ones he loved can be safe. and then for his Fall to only act as a catalyst of suffering for everyone, especially those he wanted to keep safe.. left to die by his brother, who once probably promised to never harm anakin and to never abandon him, to protect him and keep him safe...
