You’ve had arguments in the past, disagreements of all sorts, but this last one takes the cake. You’ve never been this furious.

And no one’s ever seen Javier this furious before.

Even Steve, who worked with him and even lived in the same apartment building as him, has never seen him so worked up. There was shouting that day, words such as “stubborn”, “annoying”, “careless” and “moron” thrown around for anyone to hear. By the time you and Javier finished the screaming match, his face was all red, and your eyes were all teary when you walked away.

Now, it’s been days and you and Javier were still not on speaking terms. While your job at the embassy did not entail direct contact with any of the agents, sometimes you did go out of your way to interact with Javier. Perhaps it was childish and ridiculous, especially knowing about Javier’s promiscuous reputation, but you couldn’t help it. You liked Javier, not just for all the obvious reasons like his charm and his good looks. You liked him because he paid attention to details—a nice manicure, freshly cut hair or your favorite food. He was in actuality very kind and gentle when he wanted to be. Sometimes you even thought he might like you too.

But the last fight you had proved the opposite; he was far too stubborn and set in his ways to realize what should’ve been obvious, too far gone and lost in his vices—smoking, drinking and sleeping with brothel girls. Neither vice including you.

“I have some files for Javier to sign,” you told Steve with a bored look on your face. “Could you give these to him?”

“I could, but how about you give those to him personally?”

You stared at him unimpressed, even a little mean, but Steve didn’t back out.

“Come on, this is ridiculous,” he pushed. “It’s been over a week, would you just be civil?”

“I would if he wouldn’t be so fucking stubborn.”

“You know how he is.”

“I do, that’s why I maintain that he should be the one to apologize.”

“I don’t see that happening anytime soon.”

“Then we’re not gonna talk for a long time.”

Steve huffed, sitting on the edge of your desk.

“Is this coming from a place of genuine concern or because you’re tired of running around delivering messages between us?” you asked rather amused.

“Let’s say genuine concern, but I am so very tired of this.”

You sighed. “Look, Steve, I’m not apologizing. The whole argument started because of him anyway, saying I shouldn’t have been on the field or whatever. But when I told him that Carrillo asked me to come to be a spy because no one would suspect me, he lost his mind even more!”

“Huh.”

“Yeah! I tried reasoning with him, but he kept calling me blind and stupid, so I called him a moron—“

Steve began to laugh, much to your dismay. You frowned, searching his face for an obvious answer, though none appeared.

“Why are you laughing?” you asked, genuinely confused.

“Oh, you are both such idiots.”

Before Steve could explain himself and your head would explode, Javier made his dreaded entrance by walking past your desk, unable to refrain the glare he threw you and Steve.

“You idiot,” Steve called out to him, still amused.

“Excuse me?”

He was offended, and rightfully so. Javier crossed his arms at his chest, staring curiously at you two.

“You couldn’t have just told her why you didn’t want her on the field?” Steve continued. “Why you were ready to tell Carrillo ‘fuck you for suggesting this’ right to his face?”

“I did.”

“You called me stupid,” you added grudgingly.

Javier exchanged a glare with you, one which carried far too many sentiments to voice out loud, yet still beyond frustrated.

“I did and I stand by it,” Javier maintained.

“Seriously? You don’t think you were out of line, in any way?”

“No.”

You stood up from your desk, mirroring his posture as you approached him angrily. You could not believe someone would be this thick-headed, this purposely irritating for no good reason.

“You owe me an apology,” you said. “I was only following orders, just like you do all the time.”

“You’re not an agent. Carrillo was way out of fucking line to ask you to play the double agent.”

“It worked, didn’t it? I helped and you got the intel you needed, so what the hell is your problem?”

“My problem is you risking your life for things that we should do!”

“Why are you still so pissed off about this, my God!”

“Because I fucking love you and I don’t want to see you get hurt.”

Javier’s words, besides shocking, were in such stark contrast with your own; yours were vicious and angry while his remained soft, almost guilty.

“My job here is done,” Steve announced silently in the background before leaving the two of you alone.

“You—wait, you what?”

Javier exhaled, visibly uncomfortable now that the words have gotten out. Although his reputation preceded him, he is not one to openly flaunt personal affairs in the workplace. But thankfully, there was no one else around at the time, and whatever this was between you and Javier, Steve was clearly in the know, so no harm, no foul.

“I do,” Javier clarified, voice small. “I—I’m in love with you. Which you probably don’t give a shit about or don’t care... I know you hear the things some agents around here say about me. I’m not—boyfriend material.”

“You think I don’t give a shit?”

Javier shrugged.

“I don’t make excuses to come in early just to have my morning coffee with anyone else. I don’t go out of my way to give documents in hand to anyone else. I don’t do my nails a certain color because someone else told me they look.”

There was an “oh” perfectly readable on Javier’s face, the moment of realization kicking in seconds later. You giggled, shyly reaching for one of his hands.

“I pity the foolish woman who falls in love with Javier Peña because it’s a tough mission,” you said. “Renowned womanizer, killer charm and smile…”

“No more than that cute secretary they got over here at the embassy. One hell of a woman. He might easily fall for her too.”

He smiled, leaning in to press a chaste kiss on your lips, one of many to come.

“Come on, Y/N you always take forever to get ready when it comes to interviews,” your boyfriend Jaeden said through your dressing room door .

You were about to be on the Jimmy Fallon show which was a dream of yours. Playing Annabelle Tozier in IT  made your acting career take off drastically.

“Babe, you know it takes a while for me to look pretty,” you said as you opened the door.

“No because you always look pretty, Y/N,” Jaeden said with a smile on his face.

You smiled at what he said, but your moment was interrupted by the one and only Jack Dylan Grazer.

“Awwww look at these two cutiesssss,” Jack said in a sing-song voice.

“Oh shut it, Grazer,” you said to him. He just smiled and walked off.

You saw the rest of the cast in the green room and decided to sit next to your on screen ‘brother’.

“Hey Finnie,” you said while sitting next to him.

“Hey Y/N,” Finn said while wrapping his arm around you.

Finn was one of your best friends. Even though you guys played siblings in the movie, you had a great off-screen relationship.

This made Jaeden jealous sometimes, but you assured him that Finn was really just a friend.

“Ugh, I’m bored. I just want to be on the show now and eat food,” Jack said loudly.

“Jack, can you not be so loud please? You’re hurting my ears.”

Jack was thinking about it until he started to say words even louder than before.

You gave Jack a death glare and he put up his hands in surrender. You smirked at the end knowing you won victory.

Everyone else also laughed at how Jack was scared of you. Honestly, before the cast met you, they all  were intimidated with your snarky attitude and your rbf.

“Babe, stop scaring Jack before he pees his pants,” Jaeden said to you.

“Whatever, but you’re still annoying Grazer,” you pointed at Jack.

“Five minutes until we’re live,” the producer said to the IT cast.

You were nervous since this was your first talk show. Jaeden noticed your nervousness and he put a comforting arm around your waist.

Jaeden signed and pulled you into a hug. “Y/N I promise you you’ll do fine.”

You nodded and prepared to walk out onto the stage where Jimmy Fallon was sitting.

“And now I would like to introduce to you the cast of It Chapter 2!”

Everyone started clapping and  cheering for you guys.

You took your seat and sat between Finn and Jaeden.

“Hi guys, it’s great to have you guys back on my show!” Jimmy was one of my favurite talk shows, so this was an honor.

You all did your introductions on what our characters would be like in the movie.

You blanked out for a little bit, but then you heard your name being called which made you get out of your trance.

“So Y/N, you’re new here on my show and on the IT cast tell us about you and your character?”

“Well my character that I play is Annabelle Tozier, who is the complete opposite of Richie. She’s a sweetheart and is like the mom of the Losers. Annabelle resembles me a lot because in real life, I actually am like the caregiver for these boys, and for Sophia, she’s like my best friend on set.”

Jaeden smiled proudly at you which made a small smirk form on your lips.

He moved his hand on his right thigh which was really close to your left. You could feel the warmth of his fingers radiating close to your thigh.

“Ahh, I see, but there has also been rumors that you will also be joining the cast of Stranger Things season 4? Is that true?”

You smiled and nodded your head. “ Yes, yes thats correct. I will be playing Carly Byers who is also Will’s sister. That’s pretty much all I can say for now.”

“Okay Y/n, so everyone wants to know, is there a special someone in your life?”

You can see Jaeden’s eyes perk up and his cheeks flushing pink, but tried to hide it.

“U-U-Umm  well, there is a g-g-uy,” you said stammering over your words.

“Oh my gosh, Y/N, just tell everyone that you’re dating Jaeden,” Jack’s loudmouth said.

You whipped you head towards him and gave him and evil eye. Jaeden did the same.

You could hear all of the gasps and screams from the crowd.

“Y/N, is this true?”

You stared at Jaeden and he nodded his head.

BnHA Chapter 184: JP Hero Billboard Chart

Previously on BnHA: We spent the whole chapter enjoying the cultural festival. Class B entertained with a fantasy play that drew inspiration from no fewer than four separate intellectual properties, proving that it’s not just Monoma who likes to copy stuff. Hounddog handed out some of the most terrifying discipline we’ve seen since Orca’s EXTRA GUIDANCE. Eri regaled Deku with her enthusiastic recap of the concert in vivid detail including sound effects and both Deku and Mirio were thrilled to see her so happy. Those jerk upperclassmen from before apologized for their bad attitude. Everyone was grateful to class 1-A for lifting the school’s spirits. Hadou won the Miss Con competition at long last. Bakugou conquered the warped wall. Shinsou traumatized several class A students for life. Mei successfully wowed people with the support team expo and then promptly passed out afterward. Deku presented Eri with a handmade candy apple and bid her farewell. And lastly, over at the police station, the cops processed Gentle and La Brava and seemed to be taking steps to rehabilitate them. All in all it was the most wholesome chapter ever and I’m almost sorry to see this arc end, but the plot must go on.

Today on BnHA: Aizawa brings Eri back to U.A. and is all “oh yeah by the way, she lives here now.” We learn that Tokoyami interned with a hero named Hawks and YOU ALL KNOW WHO THAT IS. The Pussycats visit the 1-A dorms and announce that they’re coming off their hiatus and that Ragdoll will be supporting them as an OL which is some bullshit but at least she’s okay. Pixie-Bob explains that shockingly, All for One was not inclined to just give her quirk back just like that! We learn that the JP Hero Billboard Chart, the organization that ranks active heroes, will be presenting the new official rankings -- the first without All Might -- shortly. Right now, in fact! We then travel to Kamino for the live presentation. The top 10 heroes are introduced, the highlights of which are Ryuukyuu at #10, Kamui Woods at #7, my new bunny fave Miruko at #5, Edgeshot at #4, Best Finest Elite Superlative Jeanist at #3, and THAT MAN, Hawks, at #2. Oh and Endeavor at #1. With a new suit. I WONDER WHO THIS ARC IS GOING TO BE ABOUT.

(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’ve read up through chapter 207 now, so any ETAs will reflect that. Just to clarify real quick, my stopping right smack dab in the middle of my boy’s big fight isn’t by choice, lol.
