🎀- HC that EVE's most normal hobby - when not occupied with other things - is repainting dolls 🎀- Like in a blue moon you can catch her at the hobby lobby in mom jeans and a cardigan just looking for materials

★- In her down time (which is a bit rare these days) Nadia'll pick those ball-jointed Barbie/Bratz/MH dolls and give them a complete makeover ☆- While she's making them she's fervently thinking 'I will love you in a way that no one else EVER has' and she treats them all that way ★- She'll repaint them in the most unconventional ways possible but they're still gorgeous; a perfect reflection of her studio artwork on a body that isn't her own ☆- Sometimes if she's low on fabrics, instead of making a full-sized mockup of her exhibition fits she'll use her dolls to test the outfit design and make a mini version of the fit with small pieces of the final material ★- She's got this HUGE shelf on her pad that's got these fashion icon dolls displayed with their name and inspiration on a little plaque ☆- Whenever something significant happens and she doesn't want to paint, she'll hold onto the feeling, good or bad, and jot down an idea for a new doll's look ★- and she DOES truly love each of them - though she may have had to learn to love one in particular

🎀- She picked up the hobby in college (before she met Zuke) but didn't really think anything of it 🌸- It was just a means to practice different makeup looks and pencil techniques without sculpting something - and it was fun! She liked having a cute little gal at the end of the process 🎀- When she came up with the idea of using the dolls as models, she created a doll of herself but made the decision to make its skin completely white 🌸- When Nadia met Zuke, she sort of put the hobby aside to focus on her other art mediums, but she looked at the doll of herself and felt comfortable enough to repaint the right side pink (and she laughed a bit to herself looking at the final result, because it looked... Cute! Just like her other gorgeous dolls...) 🎀- After Rapturica, she didn't feel the need to create a doll based on her feelings as she didn't feel as hurt as she expected, but she did find it really, REALLY hard to look at the doll of herself, so she hid it away... 🎀- she picked up repainting again later but went in HARD - they began to look more artsy and alien, just like her other art pieces 🌸- After graduating she didn't really have time to repaint dolls and focused on creating other arts/music again, only occasionally using them to test outfits (but never the one of herself) 🎀- After the events of NSR though, she picked it up again as a form of self-care. It's something she doesn't have to create for the public eye, and she's rekindled the joy of creating a strange little gal and loving them despite their bizarre quirks. 🌸- ... I think she feels a bit more comfortable looking at the doll of herself now, too.

★- She's probably still got doll repaint videos up on her channel from her college days, hehe. ☆- (She's debating whether or not to make a mini exhibition about the concept of dolls.* Likely not, as she doesn't want to taint the tranquility of the act, but she still likes the idea. It's better to not mix work art with home art, anyway.) (* (How they can reflect their caretaker, they exhibit both confidence and vulnerability, they can be broken and discarded but repaired, they're still images that can be moved in a 3d space however you desire, they rely on a person to actually be 'real' ykyk that kind of thing. the symbolism of dolls.)

The doodle I made in the 3rd picture (above the cut) is inspired by those really pretty doll repaints... I think that that look in particular is one that she tested on a doll first... pre-ugly cry, that is.

Kinda feel bad about not drawing much just because I don't have much to post. The truth is that I draw a LOT it's just mostly stuff I can't post right away (comic pages and video artwork/thumbnails), combined with having very little motivation to work on properly finished pieces right now. Sketching heals my weary soul.

Anyway I have 4 sketchbooks now and none of them are finished because Oops

So a few months ago I got a sketchbook and some alcohol markers sent to me as part of a sponsorship. The sketchbook is really nice marker paper and I love it but I have accidentally worked myself into the mindset of "If I draw in this sketchbook it needs to be for marker pieces". Which is silly, because the marker sketchbooks are not that expensive, but that's where my brain is at. The other problem is that this sketchbook is Big which makes it hard to carry around.

A few weeks later I was in a bookstore and saw some Moleskine notebooks. I've scoffed at MS notebooks before because they're really expensive considering the paper quality, but when I checked this most recent time I saw they had a line of smaller, art-specific sketchbooks that supposedly had thicker paper. "Bet", I said, and bought one, even though it came shrink wrapped and I couldn't feel the paper first.

It is heavenly. I love it. The paper is so so thick and smooth and I love every second I spend drawing on it. It's not really thick enough to handle my alcohol markers, but for little sketches with sharpie and brush pens (my favorite <3) it handles amazingly.

I liked having it as a travel sketchbook, but around the time I bought it I was struggling with some Life Stuff and needed somewhere to get the feelings out, so my MS notebook ended up becoming half sketchbook and half diary. And now the problem is that I LOVE drawing in my little MS sketchbook, but it is now filled with Sad Thoughts so I feel like I can't bring it out of the house with me. Or else I run the risk of people seeing the Sad Thoughts.

So THEN I think "Well shit, now I need to buy another mini sketchbook that can be my actual Small Sketchbook To Carry Around With Me (That Does Not Have Sad Thoughts In It), so I bought another, non-Moleskine sketchbook. So I did, and it's... okay. The paper's not AS thick but it's lavender and very cute and has more pages. And I figure "Okay, now the MS notebook can be my journal with some doodles in it, and the purple sketchbook can be the travel book."

BUT THEN I was at the Fancy Bookstore last weekend and got curious about another brand of fancy sketchbooks. They were also shrink-wrapped so I couldn't test the paper for myself, but from the numbers on the packaging it seemed like the paper was a decent weight! And it had some other cool features like numbered pages!

Turns out I got confused because I thought the paper weight was in pounds, turns out it's in grams, and the paper is BAD. SUPER thin and transparent, not even worth being a sketchbook. BUT. It is cute and orange. And it works nicely with some cute little stationery pens I have and like writing with.

So... Now I have my black sketchbook (big, for markers), my Moleskine sketchbook (red, my favorite for sketching but contaminated with Sad Thoughts so it's not allowed to leave the house), my purple sketchbook (travel sketchbook, cute), and orange sketchbook (locked forever in diary purgatory). Someone help that is too many.

(Next time I'm at the bookstore someone might need to physically restrain me from buying another mini Moleskine notebook. I have a PROBLEM!!! And the problem is WHY IS THIS PAPER SO NICE???!?! AGH)

I have a couple of questions about the monsters appearance.

Will Ortho change much? Like some of the metal on him being replaced with stone or other stuff?

Do Jade and Floyd have legs or are they keeping their tails?

That's a good question! It was definitely something I was planning on addressing somewhere along the line, but I will oblige with this question!

Okay so, for the most part Ortho is still going to be like he is, though for the most part his frame is a mix of earth and metal. The metal parts are essentially akin to what Idia uses/makes in game, whereas the earth/clay aspect of his golem form is more maleable and capable of shifting and changing freely using magical energy and glyphs/runes.

As for Jade and Floyd (and Azul since this also pertains to him), they actually do keep their merform appearance for the most part when around Octavinelle or even if they want to go to class like this. The magic at the school allows students who are more aquatic based to travel from class to class with ease by using a bubble of water to "float" about before settling in pools of water designated for said students so they can have the same experience in studying and the like. Hence, why on Yuu's first day in Twisted Wonderland they saw a kraken amongst the monsters! :D

Now, you might be wondering: if they're more likely to be in ther merforms, how do they do PE and flight lessons? Easy: transformation potions! 0v0

Transformation potions still exist in this version of Twisted Wonderland, though it's more akin to turning a monster into an animal or into another monster species. For the days or times where it's easier to conduct certain tasks (even if they don't like flying lessons), the Octatrio will use the potions to become other species of their own preference for a short or long time depending on the amount of potion they consume. Below is essentially what they become in this case:

Azul-kelpie (appearance wise looks similar to Vil and Riddle, only instead of a lion tail it would be a fish-like tail and the horse legs would be used for running)

Jade-basilisk (come on, his UM involves his eye! Though the main reason for this choice was him wanting a form that can climb when he goes hiking in the mountains)

Floyd-varies based on his mood, though he tends to switch between a gryphon and a basilisk more often, though moreso the latter due to the fun reactions he gets from weaker students

Now you might be wondering: why is Floyd the only one who chooses a form with wings for flight class and not Azul or Jade? Well...let's just say that they're still working on this aspect as flying is a lot more intimidating than swimming when your coach tries to have you learn like any other bird or flying monster: pushing them out of the proverbial nest! After getting tangled in one too many tree branches and landing in a bramble bush, Azul and Jade decided to try using the brooms instead. A broken wing bone is much worse to deal with when transforming back than a broken broomstick!

All three still suck at flying, but they're better at it than their game/human selves so hey, that's progress! 😂

Also, because I mentioned it: yes, the transformation potions can and do work on Yuu and mini!Yuu, though the transformation can vary. I've got an idea on what Yuu/mini!Yuu might turn into (it's a cute and silly idea I've been wanting to write), but it would honestly be up to you to decide what your Yuu/MC/mini!Yuu would become in the transformation shenanigans--I would be curious to see what your noodle-doodle brains come up with~! >v>

So Bakugou and Todoroki's hero names didn't get decided early on I think because they're each gonna get their own little mini arcs that get em to decide them, but I kinda wanted to know your opinion on what they might end up being? 'Course they'll probably be derived from future plot that we don't know right now, but I wanted to ask anyway!

So I have no clue, honest, but as far as Bakugou goes I’ll keep on holding onto Ground Zero until Horikoshi officially and unequivocally tells me he 100% definitely scrapped it, my friend - it’s such a cool name??? I read it and I nearly cried when I realized that probably it’s not gonna be his actual hero name rip

They’re just deaged, time didn’t literally turn back for them - only being babies their thought process is way simpler so the most they know is that that’s Bakugou and he’s good and safe and they like him. That’s about it, nothing more complex than that haha

Monoma’s great tho!!!! I mean. He’s an asshole. And a total disaster. And his inferiority complex is a seriously huge thing. But he’s great!!!!!!!!!! That’s an amazing pick as a fave character t b h I think we’re getting more of him (together with the whole 1B class) in the manga soon, so don’t despair too much about the lack of content just yet haha

Terrible or not it’s definitely a sharp, STRONG handwriting, which is all that matters as far as Kirishima is concerned!! 💪💪💪💪 haha
