🧡 ORANGE HEART — does your oc tend to prioritize family or friends?

YOU CANNOT DO THIS TO MEEEEE this is. ouuuu this question is interesting. the answer is very very complicated LMAO the short version is he prioritizes his friends. his family has not been in his life for a very long time, he moved out at age 18 pretty suddenly to be able to escape his abusive mother and despite him attempting to reconnect for months, his family never allowed him to get back in touch with them. only recently has he been able to reconnect with them again in the broker fic and that's where the long answer comes in

because the thing about vitali is that he has so much hope. despite being a pretty realistic and sometimes even pessimistic man, he tries very hard to see the positive in things, to see the good in people, and he really makes an effort to make things work until he's explicitly proven wrong. and since he's a stubborn motherfucker the "explicitly proven wrong" moment is VERY often a step further than anyone else would go

this is what causes friction between him and mainly vincent and mikhail in the fic, because he keeps trying to do certain things that the others don't really approve of because they don't see the point. they don't see why vitali would ask his younger brother daniil for help, they don't see why vitali would let his younger sister roksana stay around, they don't see why vitali wants to go talk to his mother and tries to help her when ravager has tracked her down and they don't see why vitali can't kill his father despite all the things that have happened thus far

in this fic specifically vitali is prioritizing his family over his friends, but ONLY because he sees an opportunity here to get them back. no one else will ever understand this because they're not in his shoes, but all vitali ever wanted was to have a family he could love, a family he could rely on. everything he does in the fic is centered around this (perhaps selfish) goal and around his hope for them, and he needs to figure out if they've changed since last time he saw them or not and there's really only one way to do that and that's to reach out to them and keep trying

was it worth it? well if you've read chapter 18 you know where it has led him so :D giggles

vitali loves everything that has like, a creamy taste to it rather than just the texture if that makes sense? so things like vanilla, mocha, chocolate, caramel etc etc and less so the fruity flavors. lots of sex jokes to be made here

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

vitali fidgets with his pen a lot! whenever he's holding it and listening to someone talk he's kind of rolling it between his fingers, similar to what he does with his cigarettes. he used to chain smoke his way through high school and the cigs he smokes nowadays are fake so he can keep the habit without the addiction, but the habit shows itself in more ways such as the way he fidgets with his pen :^)

whenever he's standing still for a longer period of time, he'll automatically find something to lean against. it's always subconsciously been to relieve his leg, only since recently has it been more obvious because of the surgery he had on it and because of his cane, but it's always been a very constant pain he's had to deal with

he also automatically tends to read people a lot. can often be found scanning someone's face very quickly in conversation to check how they're feeling, if they're lying, stuff like that. vitali used to work at arasaka counterintelligence and before that handled a lot of internal social matters so he's REALLY good at reading people. it's mostly a remnant from that time in his life but now as a fixer it comes in very handy as well!

vitali used to be very expressive in both facial expressions as well as talking with his hands and such, but over the years he's become a LOT more static. most of this is just a cover, also a habit that started at arasaka because it was expected of him, and now he uses it to keep his composure as a fixer during important meetings and such. but when he's in private with people he trusts he will become a lot more expressive again, smiling a lot more than he would in public and freely gesturing away. also becomes very vulgar then usually, doesn't hold back on the cursing and has just dirty humor in general. very much in a "i'm essentially still a 12 year old" way and not in like a perverted way though LMAO

and lastly, vitali sometimes sings in russian to himself very quietly to calm himself down. funnily enough he doesn't use it in the broker fic but that's mainly because his own family is involved in it and it felt a bit inappropriate to him?? because it IS a direct reminder of his family and trying to calm himself down from stuff that happened with his family by singing a song that reminds him of his family. probably wouldn't work too well </3

Ohhh an interesting question!

It did take some time. I remember at first just being like huh well that guy has a cool design. But not really caring about him because I didn't know much about him. I was curious, but definitely not as obsessed as I am.

It was a gradual thing. I think the first time I started to go OH? was after Lesson 16 because that was when we first got a glimpse of his time travel powers. I remember being like wow that's kind of a big deal! But he was so nonchalant about it, like okay whatever you want Young Master~

And then in season three of the OG, we really got more of his backstory and suddenly I was like OKAY I can't stop thinking about this guy now??? Him and his pact with Solomon and his creepy room and his lil oya...

And then I played through some of his Devilgrams and I was like oh. I see. I'm obsessed. Right then.

So I think the first thing was his design, then his time powers, then just his general attitude. It had a lot to do with him having all this power that he just didn't use or only used when Diavolo asked him to. It made him super mysterious and interesting and left sooo much space for me to write all the fics mwahaha.

🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction? honestly my first experience with writing fic was probably with the ranger's apprentice books and percy jackson but back then i'd just write stuff for myself bc i wasn't really aware of fandom as a sharing space. after that i'm bad at remembering things in the right order but i THINK my first time publishing anything was very inconsistent 5sos y/n stuff on wattpad LMFAO and by god did it do numbers! then i found ao3, probably, and became a haikyuu writer for a while. my BIG break into ficdom was with kpop rpf however (which, i think is somewhat common in mcyt fandom? lol?) i wrote kpop fic for yearssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss and that experience is what really made me love ficwriting i guess

❄️ ⇢ what's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best? ohhh interesting question i actually don't think i have an answer? while i do have certain themes and plots im VERY fond of and think about consistently they're not necessarily things id like to see written, more of comfort ideas lol

🦴 ⇢ is there a piece of media that inspires your writing? YES, yes there are. a few, actually. there's 3 main pieces of media i pull inspiration from, somewhat consciously and CONSTANTLY.

(1) nora sakavic's the foxhole court trilogy. not only did this SHAPE ME AS A PERSON it also guides my writing style to this day. i read all three books in 8th grade or something and it changed me dude i carry the dialogue and the pacing with me still i KNOW the way i write things is the way it is today because of this woman

(2) richard siken's poetry <3 all of it influences me, but mostly the poems from 'crush'

(3) this is an insane thing to say but crimson rivers the 865k words the-hunger-games-au MARAUDERS fanfic . yes i am transgender it is my birthright to despise jkr as much as humanly possible but for as long as fanmade content is not profitable for that woman i will still tentatively interact with it. most of the characters on cr are barely IN the books either way its almost OC content and . it's good. it's really fucking good like i could never lie about this for a whole summer i was OBSESSIVELY reading and re-reading it!!!! the writing is actually so impressive to me and i think about it a lot more often than i probably should. most of all i take a lot of inspiration from the planning -- the foreshadowing and the attention to detail, how all 75 chapters of this thing tie in together at the end its really so fucking sick like you could not experience this through any other medium if not fanfiction

ohhh shit, okay. so.

cql was the most draining show - it's amazing and so enticing but i had never watched anything from the wuxia genre before so it was A Lot..i would not rewatch it tbh, maybe the special addition if i miss wangxian too much 💞 it's so tragic and i'm always at risk of The Feels when i come across any cql or mdzs post, not to mention the yi city arc which fucked me up in a particular way...

woh doesn't make me as emotional because everyone is insane? it's actually impressive how unhinged every single person in the show is, the stories are tragic too, especially the last episodes but i was kind of numb to it, decided to focus on my guys and their happy ending only ✌️

woh gave me wen kexing, visuals (the designs of the characters are wild, espeecially the ghosts, they're straight out of a children's book, so expressive and individualistic) and the most blatant expression of romance they could - not only could you feel the love through each gaze, touch and action but boundaries were pushed in terms of script and the portrayal of physical affection was more than what they had to do. also i'm obsessed with the lipreading videos <3

TMS2!! i am sure s1 is great but it just didn't leave a lasting impression on me, it was the second season that had me shaking in excitement and yelling at the screen and going through tumblr to read analyses and stuff. it made me care about seojoon and jiwoo soo much and even if in the future i find the first season better in retrospect, s2 is my baby (and it got me so excited bout daseul's vision for blueming 2 🥰)

"albedo, you know... you have quite an obsession with your experiments and alchemy, you know?"

"oi, you meanie! i just needed to finish reading this, you know... the plot was way too good to left this story in the middle, and since it was just 2am i decided..."

it was his... free day. mandatory free day actually. after all, his partner couldn't bear with him locking himself for hours and hours and even day, just for "some experiments". which, honestly, was really understandable.

they were sitting under a tree, albedo with a notebook in his hand, slowly sketching someone, and [y/n], with a book and their head on his lap. it was a peaceful moment, really...

"...and i kinda ended reading at 5am, instead of earlier... but, still better than you." [y/n] huffed at him.

ah, right. his peaceful moment wasn't really long.

there was a tiny, tiny problem. (well, not really a problem for him, but for someone else...) he wasn't the only one who was terrible at managing time, especially when it comes to his "quite an obsession". the truth was, [y/n] had this problem too. he would spend days at his experiments, expeditions, and they would spend hours with their books and stories.

and it was incredibly funny.

he would be doing something in his office, focused on his work and he would hear someone's knocking at the doors. he would say that he's busy, or even ignore it, too focused on the experiment, and then...

wait, someone entered the room-

"oh my, here you are!" [y/n] said as they smiled, "i've been looking for you the whole day. or, rather two days."

two days... did he just spent two days in this room, busy experimenting again?! well, it would make sense, since he took a nap earlier and probably didn't realized that another day passed.

"i was busy with this experiment. i was trying to find another way you can use crystal chunks. they are effective in forging and alchemy, but i'm sure that this is not the end. i just need to find another object crystal chunks go into interaction with. do you have any ideas?" but [y/n] just looked at him in confusion. crystal chunks? interactions? alchemy? forging?

"ah, scrap that. i think we can use some elemental magic on it to see what will happen. but, where i can find people wiling to help... do you know anyone, [y/n]?"

"wait, wait, wait! it's too complicated, besides, i have more important questions for you." seeing albedo so excited about something he liked was always an amazing view, but sometimes... they would get lost right after the first sentence. or after first word.

"hm, what it is?"

"when was the last time you took a shower? or eat something? hmmm?" [y/n] walked closer to the table and leaned forward, awaiting for the answer.

and albedo just blinked.

"oh, this is a good question..."

"albedo!"

ah, funny times. but, it was even funnier when the roles were reverse, with [y/n] being oh so focused on their books.

"i'm not sure if reading a book and writing at the same time can be effective-"

"shhh, i'm writing!" they hushed him up and went back to reading. it wasn't anything unusual, just [y/n] writing at late hours in their bed and trying to read a book at the same time. honestly, nothing new.

"you should go to sleep, staying up late like that is not the best for you" he said as he sat at the oposite side of the bed, locking his eyes at them. their whole attention was on the book, lips slightly parted, they were holding a pen in second hand and playing with it. and albedo was just watching them in awe, his mind-

suddenly, they blinked. and then again, but this time for longer, and then they closed the book.

"actually, i think you might be right..." they smiled sheepishly.

ah, truly funny times.

"alchemy experiments requires times and patience. if not impossible, then it is very hard to finish a complicated experiment in less than two days. beside, being an alchemist is my job." he explained and earned a light chuckle in response.

"was playing with mint grass related to your knight duties?" they asked teasingly. oh no.

[y/n] already knew the answer, and he knew it too.

"this one was an exception." he sighed and put his head against the tree. they could tease each other the whole day, about how both of them suck at managing time, and how reading and writing at the same time was not very effective, and many, many other things.

suddenly, he felt something shift on his lap and when he looked down, he saw his lover putting the book next to them and getting more comfortable.

"can you wake me up later?" they asked quietly, and albedo couldn't resist the urge to smile.

"of course, love." he looked back at his notebook, with already started drawing.

Ohhh boy, do I have a ton of other interests. 😂😂 My most recent fandoms that I've gotten into are Our Flag Means Death (which I'm so happy got renewed for a second season!! I loved the first one, so much. I hope it doesn't kill me with feels though!!!!), Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (And Apollo Justice, which I just finished), and Banana Fish (which is actually the only anime show I've seen, and while I highly recommend it if you've not seen it, you have to be careful since it's SUPER dark. Like... it's about a literal gang from New York and child trafficking. The main characters remind me a lot of Taka and Mondo, but even more depressing. Very good, but very dark.)

Then, of course, you've got my all time favorites, which include Harry Potter (though I've lost a lot of love for the series thanks to J.K. I can't ignore it, though, since it straight up shaped my teenage years and I STILL go by the name I made for my HP themed FB page when I was 13, DracotheDeathEatingCupcake. And I still love the characters, even now, so... yeah. But I fully support trans people and J.K. makes me sick), Supernatural (Destiel all the way, ha), Gravity Falls (and, for the record, I DO NOT like BillDip in canon! I liked it in fanon, which is why my most popular fic is BillDip, okay?? Oof), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (this one shaped my teenage years almost as much as Harry Potter, honestly. Spuffy is my fav of all time, even now. It sucks that Joss Whedon was such a creep. Why are all the things I liked as a kid made by terrible people??), and, surprisingly... Batman. That's a surprise since I don't like the majority of Batman things, and I more like the image of him I have in my mind, ha.

In addition to those, I've also had some big obsessions with the following: Rise of the Guardians, Danny Phantom, Legend of Zelda, The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings (the former more than the latter, actually. Also!!! I've been to the actual Hobbiton!!! However, if you want the ones I've created and published fics for, I will list them in order from most recent to oldest here. Warning, it's a lot, ha. I've been writing since I was 13 (11 years, FYI), and I don't think a year has gone by where I've not written and published at least one fic.

Ishimondo from Danganronpa (duh, ha. I think I've written more Ishimondo than any other fandom other than HP, but most of my HP stuff was back when I was a young teen and was max 3k words each, so Ishimondo beats it word count wise by a long shot, ha.)

Merthur (Merlin/Arthur) from BBC's Merlin (which is actually the other 375k fic I wrote in a month and a half that I've mentioned before. This one got a little messy towards the end, since I tried my hand with a plot for the first time, and it was.... eh. People seemed to like it at least, so that's something, ha. But it was unique in that I started writing it when I was, like... 16/17, lost inspiration, and only continued writing when I found it again on my ancient iPod touch's note app several years later.)

Destiel (Dean/Castiel) from Supernatural (I actually have another fic for Destiel that is completely finished and I actually really like, but I just... have not posted???? For some reason?????? I keep meaning to but don't have time 😩 Maybe one day. Like maybe around the two year anniversary of Destiel becoming canon, and the two year anniversary of me finishing the fic 😂 Also, fun fact, but my first fic on AO3 was a Destiel fic. It wasn't my first fic ever, but my first fics will live on in infamy on fanfiction . net and will die a cold, cold death when that website finally goes belly up.)

An Avatar the Last Airbender fic that focuses on Lu Ten, Iroh's son (I love Zukka, but could never think of an idea for them, so I never wrote one for them. I had the idea for the Lu Ten fic after seeing a Tumblr post wondering about an AU where Lu Ten was secretly an earth bender, and HAD to write it. The first two chapters are pretty solid, but the last four... eh. Could do with some work.)

Hank/Connor, from Detroit: Become Human (I was weirdly obsessed with this game for a hot minute in 2019?? I still like it, but it was a pretty big thing for me then, ha. This fic of mine is another where I tried to have a plot, but it turned out meh. That's why my most recent fics have no real plot, and is mostly driven by emotion and details, ha. I'm much better at that than real plots.)

A Tony and Steve (from the MCU, ha) family fic (NOT ROMANTIC) where Steve is kid Tony's distant but loving uncle after Steve (spoilers for end game????? Ha) goes into the past to be with Peggy. It was a fix it fic of sorts.

BatJokes (Batman/Joker) from Batman, but more specifically, Bruce Wayne/John Doe from TellTale's Batman series (I had the idea for this fic when I was in a Target after having finished the second game and wrote it for like... 10 hours straight, ha. Fun fact, but this fic is actually the best fic I have in terms of kudos to hit ratio, with a ratio of over 1:1, if that means anything to anyone, ha.)

BillDip (Bill Cipher/Dipper Pines) from Gravity Falls (but like I said, I liked the fanon interpretation of BillDip!!! Not canon, since in canon, Dipper Pines is 12 and Bill Cipher is a homicidal ageless demon who is The Worst, but in a funny way. The fanon interpretation still wasn't great, but it was less bad to me when I was, like... 16.)

Stanley Pines and Stanford Pines from Gravity Falls family fics (I separated this from the last since it was its own thing, ha. Not much to say about these other than it was my first series and kind of started my whole "write from the other perspective" thing, since I first wrote a fic from Stan's perspective, then wrote one from Ford's.)

BagginShield (Bilbo Baggins/Thorin Oakenshield) from The Hobbit (I am gonna be honest. I really disliked the Hobbit when I had to read it for a book report in, like... 10th grade I think?? But I LOVED the movies, even if the third movie was kind of pointless. I liked how Richard Armitage played Thorin, and how the movie gave the dwarves a much better a reason for wanting to go back to the Lonely Mountain than, uh.... I want gold. -.-)

And now I will put the fandoms/ships for fics that are either on FF . net and are not seeing the light of day (unless someone really is curious, but, uh... they're not very good and it's obvious a 13-14 year old wrote them, ha) or are in WIP Hell and will likely never get out. Also from most recent to oldest.

BlackBonnet (Edward Teach/Stede Bonnet) from Our Flag Means Death (this fic sadly landed in WIP hell despite me writing it for a week and a half straight and ending up with almost 100k words. But I realized I didn't like the way I wrote it, and I didn't know how to end it, which is just... yeah, disheartening, but I had fun writing it at least.)

WrightWorth (Miles Edgeworth/Phoenix Wright) from Ace Attorney (I actually have a completely finished one shot that was originally gonna be a longer fic, but works as a one shot, but again, I just keep not having the time/inspiration to post, oof. I also had started a longer fic with an OC young girl that Edgeworth fosters after her father gets murdered, and Phoenix helps him with her despite (spoilers for Apollo Justice) being all jaded after being disbarred, but I got a bit stuck with it and realized it was a meh plot, so... it's also now in WIP hell forever, RIP.)

Drarry (Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter) from Harry Potter (this ship is both one that is in WIP hell and is on ff . net, ha. The one in WIP hell is actually pretty good, but I just ran out of drive to finish writing. It's funny since I knew exactly where it was gonna go, but, uh... yeah, just ran out of drive. The one on ff . net is slightly better than my other older stuff on ff . net, but that's only because I was slightly older when I wrote it, ha. It's still Not Good.)

Dramione (Draco Malfoy/Hermione Granger) from Harry Potter (This is entirely from ff . net, and it was actually my first real OTP. I don't ship them anymore, like... at all, since I'm more a Drarry girl, but it still holds a special place in my heart, ha. It also contains one of my better named fics, which I'm sure is the only reason it still gets views on ff . net even 11 years later, oof. All of my Dramione stuff is trash, though. Also, fun fact, but I only started liking Dramione because of A Very Potter Musical/Sequel. Ha.)

Spuffy (Spike/Buffy) from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I think this was all one shots, nothing too substantial. None good either, ha. I do adore Spuffy though.)

And now, finally, I have a small list of fics I wrote on FF . net that were either for a friend, or were fun things I wrote but didn't really like the ship much for, ha. All are from Harry Potter, FYI.

Scorpius Malfoy/Lily Potter, which was actually the first fic I ever wrote, which I handwrote on paper during lunch time when I was in 7th grade, ha. I eventually transcribed it to my computer a year later, but it was the first fic I wrote and I didn't even like the ship that much, ha.

Draco Malfoy/Astoria Greengrass, which I only wrote for an online 'friend' who said it was derivative and had been done before. This was also a 'friend' who hated when I would call myself awesome (ironically, since I didn't like myself that much when I was a teen) because I was, and I quote, 'not awesome, so stop calling yourself that.' Yeah. She, uh... was not a great friend.

Lucius Malfoy/Professor Flitwick. Don't... don't even ask. I used to do HP roleplay, and I did an RP as the parents of the main characters, and I was Lucius and my friend was Flitwick, and I wrote this for him. It was my first (and, for the longest time, only) smut fic, and it's, uh....... yeah. Also! I just realized that those RP things showed a lot of indication that I was ace even before I knew what asexuality was, ha. I just remembered this, but I realize now that I never liked RPing smut, even when my friends were all "aw come on, it's not that bad!!!" But it always embarrassed me, so I only would do it with the people I trusted, and even then it felt weird to me (which was also in part because I was, like... 13-15. So were my friends, though, so don't get worried, ha). And my previously mentioned 'friend' (but different to the friend I did the weird smut fic for) got offended that I would write it with someone else but not her. Now that I think of it, my RP years were, uh... not great ones, wow. No wonder I've mostly blocked them out, ha.

Anyway!!! Wow did that end up long, oof. I hope this answered your question, because by this point I don't think I can even parse this response anymore, ha. I've also done art work for other fandoms, both digital and hand drawn, but if I add that this response will be never ending, oof. these are very interesting questions 🧐 i’ll answer in order:

how would you explain your drawing style?

this is probably the hardest question for me to answer because i tend to switch it up a lot shdjskdkd it kinda depends of what i’m trying to convey, if i want to make something cartoonish or something more realistic, but i’d like to say it’s generally semi-realistic with a heeeavy emphasis on the “semi” hhhh i guess i am also kinda inspired by old school anime that i used to watch as a kid like sailor moon, the rose of versailles and others. i tend to do my best to get realistic proportions for the characters i draw and don’t really do heavily stylized work with exaggerated features, i try to imitate real people but i’m also incredibly stubborn and like to suffer so i always avoid using references unless i really need one (ex: muscles, hands, feet, dynamic poses) because i want to build a better visual memory for how a human is supposed to look like. when i first started posting my art i tended to do black and white only, then i got progressively more comfortable with colors. i’d say my signature thing would be the lighting :D and the lil dots of atmospheric dust, but yeah i have a tendency to do a lot of backlighting or random streaks of light, i think it looks pretty 🥺 also i like drawing hurt/comfort which is why i do a lot of black and white art, i think it looks nicer bc it reminds me of old photographs and it’s just a ~vibe~ i enjoy hehe but when i use color it’s super vibrant and saturated kinda like a punch in the eyeball. so yeah my artstyle in really brief words: inconsistent but shiny as hell with an extra colorful punch in the face when i feel like b&w doesn’t do the job :’D

do you have any artistic influences or so?

quite a lot! when it comes to backgrounds, i take inspiration from studio ghibli and makoto shinkai movies for scenery, kyoani for indoor settings. i freaking love yusuke murata and takehiko inoue’s artstyles and i love hirohiko araki’s use of color. as far as the technicalities go, my art never looks “smooth” bc i can’t figure out how to draw with airbrush tools to save my life, and i am very very veeery influenced by impressionism, which is why i paint in broad strokes that look messy and you can also kinda see all the lines hhh and i guess the focus on the lighting comes from my obsession with caravaggio when i was in school :’) oh also i absolutely have to mention the two italian comic artists whom i’ve been following since i was a first year middle schooler just getting started with digital art, mirka andolfo and angela vianello; they’re probably my biggest influences and lil fangirl moment i met mirka at a comicon a few years ago and she drew me hiyori from noragami as she was in charge of drawing the alternate cover for the first volume release and she was so nice and kind and encouraged me to keep making art and excuse me i’m gonna cry- angela vianello is also an absolute legend and her work is absolutely breathtaking, she’s probably *the one* who helped me shape my artstyle the most through the years. haven’t met her yet unfortunately ;;;;

about the pop culture references and literary quotes

BINGO i am a literature student and an anthropology student which comes with an extra art history, theatre history and philology+mythology on the side which means that basically 99% of everything i’ve ever posted stems from either a song i was listening to or a book i was reading or anything i was studying for my lectures bc i’m a huge nerd and i love making art of things i love inspired by other things i love (cue me recalling the obscene amount of AUs and wips i have in my gallery). my fav levihan stuff i’ve ever drawn were inspired by jane austen, victor hugo and anne carson quotes :D also a ton of musical theatre songs! i am a giant les misérables stan (book and show) and i have quite a few things inspired by it. yeah i basically have no originality and my brain needs to go “OH THIS QUOTE IS RAW AS FUCK” and “OHHH PRETTY SONG LYRIC” for me to start producing things hhhh
