Still drives me absolutely bonkers thinking about the moment you first start to change and become human in Lies of P, is the moment after you fight Romeo and go back to the hotel. Sophia notes you don’t look so good after she mentions the necklace Romeo had— the one that says “To Romeo from your friend C”. It visibly affects you and you’re not sure why just yet.

Where only after that, you hear Romeo’s voice whisper “Carlo” and suddenly you have physically changed. Your hair is longer, your shoulders are broader, you have physically been altered because encountering Romeo and hearing him say that name awakened something deep within you that wants out.

And the menu screen where your very heart sits is now the Opera House in flames with a bundle of white stargazer flowers sitting beside it.

I'm guessing that your favorite animal is a wolf, but am I right? And if so, what do you like about wolves?

Yes, they are my favorite animals! Well, in the top favorites, alongside cats, dogs... pretty much all canines and felines and then there's deer too AHAH

But YES WOLVES

I'm about to yap so much and be a wolf nerd. That's under the cut... a lot of it EHEH

They're really special to me. Ever since I was a kid, I really liked them. Everyone who knew me at that time also knew that I love cats, dogs and wolves. I was known for that lmaoo.

I also played a lot of games that included wolves such as: Animal Jam, Wolf online, Wolf Quest (first one, the second one and now the third one Anniversary Edition), some Wolf simulators, etc. So I really loved and still love playing as a wolf character.

They're beautiful creatures to me, the way they live in packs, how they treat each other, respect each other, communicate, their body language, their fur coats and everything. So many of them, too, like: Arctic wolf, Timber wolf, tundra wolf, Mexican wolf, etc.

What I really love about them is how they work together and how loyal they are.

Also, a fun fact that I love: We all know there is a male and female alpha in the pack, and they can only breed, so they're lifelong mates. However, when their mate dies, they will go search for another mate (well, probably after grieving their deceased mate). And that new mate WON'T kill the pups of the previous mate. Unlike lions where the male lion will kill the cubs if he's able to take over the pride. Wolves see things differently. They will become a stepparent after joining the pack and will take care of the pups even if they're not their biological pups. So, they have to wait for their next chance to breed and have offspring of their own. But yes, I love that they actually take care of those pups even if they're not theirs by blood. That's amazing to me. They really just take care of each other and will protect the pups the best they can.

There's so much about them, but I always say that they're gentle creatures, killing for food, to feed their family, not killing just because they feel like it (well, like pretty much all animals). Also, to connect back to the mate talk. It's fascinating to me that they have true love and have one mate forever (unless the mate dies). They will also die for each other and sacrifice themselves for their pack. That's just SO BEAUTIFUL TO ME, AND THEY'RE ANIMALS. The bond, the love, these creatures have can't even be described.

See how I watched so many documentaries, and I actually learned the most from Wolf Quest... and I have books... and I love wolves so much. I don't see them as aggressive, bad creatures as the fairy tales describe them. No, they're beautiful animals trying to live their lives in peace and raise their family. Lone wolves are the dispersal wolves trying to find a mate that's not related to them. So that's also a really cool behavior in them.

And there's so much more but yeah I just yapped so much about them and I really love them.

Also, they're super cute as pups :3

Definitely not retired! I truly never meant to go this long without publishing a fic - last year was just a very weird, unbelievably difficult blur for me, the hiatus just happened and to be honest, I regret it every day.

But! Although my posting stopped, I never really stopped writing (I think my longest streak of not so much as opening a doc was about 3 months.) I've been writing much more infrequently than I'd like and with much more effort and hesitance than I'm used to (turns out going from practicing a skill every day for years to just... not doesn't do much for that skill or one's confidence 😬) but I have still been writing! Unfortunately, finishing stories hasn't been my strong suit recently and that's primarily why I haven't posted in so long. And why my WIP folder has been this stacked for the past year lol:

Some docs are just a few paragraphs long while some only need a few paragraphs to be done. I'm kind of at this weird crossroads right now where I definitely want to finish some of these fics (why let all that effort go to waste) but also I want to jump on ideas that are newer and have less baggage in my brain (it's been extremely frustrating trying to get back to where I was!). So I'm trying to navigate that while also trying to get back into the writing mindset and routine again, learning to trust my instincts again, find a way for my brain to be a comfy and fun place to hang out in again. I am determined to get there, and sooner than later this time. I feel closer than ever! And when I do, Tumblr will be the first to know. Promise. 💙

Was rereading the darkness hums again (as one does before their finals) and was wondering if Abby's sixth sense is generally so strong or if it was just this event with Nate that made her particularly perceptive, making her put the pieces together? Also, does Abby doubt herself and ignores that sixth sense or does she trust it completely? If a shapeshifter/demon took possession of Abby/took in Abby's form, what would be the dead giveaway that it isn't her?

I’d say overall Abby’s got a pretty decent sixth sense. Her intuition is strong, the problem is just getting her to trust herself enough to listen to it. Her anxiety kind of stomps over any rationale, so usually when she gets ‘off feelings’ she just chalks it up to her brain going haywire.

But she knows Nate, and he’s quickly become one of the people she feels safest around. So the fact she couldn’t relax around him, and had that prickling wrongness she couldn’t shake, definitely sped up her realizing something was wrong.

Ooo as for what possessed Abby’s giveaway would be….she’s relatively quiet, and is reserved around most people that isn’t Tina and Verda, or UB. The demon would go one of two ways: it would try to emulate that behavior, and it would come across extremely stilted/fake. Or it wouldn’t realize that anxiety is a Thing™️, and would come across way too outspoken or confident.

Sanji and Buggy are the reasons I started writing fanfiction in the first place. I'd actually planned my first fic with Buggy, but I had the idea for Sanji to be with a partner with pelvic floor dysfunction (vaginismus), and had to write that first. I really feel like he would be the most understanding partner when it comes to things like disabilities and pain, and writing for our love cook has helped me a whole lot.
