📌  how did you find your hyperfixation?

i kinda ran into hlvrai on accident after finishing freemans mind but i grew up on resi 2, even tho apparently i was super scared of it when i was young.

✨  what draws you towards your hyperfixation? what is interesting about it?

resident evil is simultaneously corny as hell but simultaneously have serious implications... survival horror stuff is really interesting to me bc it's people living through this mess n not existing just to die in the horror, theres the potential to grow from this somehow... as for hlvrai I've got a soft spot for machinima and hl1, and the humor is so well done, the characters memorable, the media is accessible especially with the captions, etc. theres so much POTENTIAL to make HCs off of this funny hl series but in a POSITIVE way, not in a "this is lacking" way

🎥 do you have any favorite scenes from your hyperfixation?

the entirety of resident evil 3's ending from the acid nemesis fight to the very end... resident evil 2 remake n any sherry and claire scene... code veronica "steve is suffering"... any barry line from re1.. also act 3 part 2+3 gordon momence are my favorites. especially the electric rotating door bit + the helicopter heap

claire is a lesbiaaan, forzen is a trans maaaan with that adhd, tommy + gordon are filipino (benrey too when he's human n he's fil-am), uhhh no one in hlvrai is cishet

💎  are there any fun facts or trivia that you would like to share?

... re1 (1996)'s dialogue was taken and chopped up from different takes bc the direction was by a Japanese man who wasn't fluent in English and just wanted what sounded good to his ears! people use the Japanese version of re2 (1998) for speedruns bc the dubbing is still english with japanese subtitles, so u can understand the most important stuff n skip door cutscenes.

uh. carlos's spanish accent in re3 (1999) very quickly goes away despite claiming "all the foxy ladies love my accent, it drives em craaaazy ;)" probably bc they retroactively realized that Was A Bad Move but the line was already there. so. whoops.
