i really like this cello concerto by elgar (swag performance too), as well as this concerto by nielsen. i think the nielsen concerto is more fun to play than to listen to.. ive never performed it with an orchestra though obv. um smething shorter is bergere captive by ferroud! oh and saint saens danse macabre is also epic. huh i need to get back into classical music. romantic + modern are my favorite periods for sure

just found out that these two albums i loved so long ago are on spotify-- they're by the daughter of a librarian i was close to as a child & i thought I was maybe never going to hear them again! one of my very favorite songs is here & i haven't heard it in so long. i thought i was going to have to get lucky tracking down the cds since they were like, indie indie from the early 2000s. I'm so, so happy
