Junpei was holding Makoto’s music box in trembling hands, thrusting it towards Thanatos. The melody emanating from the tiny box pierced through the night, killing every word Makoto thought to say in his throat and forcing him to listen. Thanatos, similarly, looked to be frozen in place.
“Ryoji,” Junpei spat at Death, pointedly using the name they’d all been avoiding. “You don’t get to forget. Makoto never did.”
was c0mm’d by @ez-cookie to draw a scene from the latest chapter of death reversed!! (its amazing please go read it)

Ker (keres, plural) goddess of violent death
it has come to my attention that when there is Thanatos, the god of gentle death, then there must be another personification of death but of the violent kind and i just found out that they're called the Keres. very shallow research later and i wanted Ker personified in hades game style fashion
took some liberties on how they've become a horde of battlefield body scavenging daughters of Nyx and Erebus, Night and Darkness, and made them all start from a single goddess (Ker) but violent deaths suddenly came at a surplus and so more help was needed hence the death-spirits known as Keres. These death-spirits are likened to the very first iteration of Ker so they're more savage with a single-minded focus and purpose. They did not inherit her capacity of speech nor for scavenging of little trinkets in battlefields.

day four: are there any deities you don’t currently worship but want to learn about?
i would love to learn more about thanatos, i think it stems from my fear of death. so i think if i learned more of the nature of the gods surrounding the dead it would help. i'd also love to learn more about the heroes, all of them odysseus, achilles, patroclus, heracles (i know there are a lot more). i want to learn as much as i can and learn from them what i can to make this life the best.
is that too sappy?
31 Days of Hellenic Polytheism
Anyone can participate regardless of how long you’ve been a Hellenic polytheist! My hope is to use these questions to reflect on the year, and repeat next year to see what has changed, and hopefully to continue doing that every year!
Answer in as much or as little detail as you see fit. You are allowed to skip any questions that you are uncomfortable answering. These questions can also apply to heroes, not just deities. You can pick specific deities to answer each one, or answer the questions with all the deities you worship. This might apply to other Pantheons and I’m happy for it to be used as such. Feel free to tweak some of the questions to fit those pantheons if you’d like!
Please link this list on your posts with your answers so that it is easy for others to find if they want to participate too after seeing your answers.
THIS IS TO BE DONE DURING DECEMBER, I’M JUST POSTING THE LIST NOW SO PEOPLE CAN FIND IT!
Have fun!
DAY ONE: Who was the first deity you began worshipping? Do you still worship them now? If this has been answered before: how has your worship changed since last year?
DAY TWO: Which deity did you most recently start worshipping? Were you called to them or did you reach out first? Do you think there were specific reasons behind why you were drawn to them?
