Handley Page Hastings C.1A ‘TG528 / T’ by Alan Wilson Via Flickr: c/n HP.67/32 Built 1948 and painted in genuine markings from her time with 47sqn during the Berlin Airlift. On display in the ‘AirSpace’ hangar at the Imperial War Museum Duxford Airfield, Cambridgeshire, UK. 22nd September 2019 The following service history for TG528 comes from the IWM website:- “October 1948 to September 1949 - No. 47 Squadron. Sorties carrying coal from Scheswigland to Tegel and Gatow during Berlin Airlift. Also flown by aircrew from 53 and 297 Squadrons during this time. 18 July 1949 - No. 24 Squadron at RAF Topcliffe May 1950 - No. 99 Squadron at RAF Lyneham June 1951 - Long Range Transport Force, Fayid 3 July 1953 to 1954 - Nos. 53 and 99 Squadrons 5 April 1956 to November 1961 - 242 OCU 2 July 1964 to 1968 - Nos. 24 and 36 Squadrons”
