Techno Economic Viability Reports: The Key to Informed Investments
When it comes to making big financial decisions, especially in the world of business, a Techno Economic Viability (TEV) report is one of the most critical tools you can have. It’s like a health check for projects, making sure everything is in place before any major investment. Whether you’re a business owner, investor, or part of a lending institution, this report can be a game-changer for evaluating potential projects.
What Is a TEV Report?
In simple terms, a Techno Economic Viability report examines both the technical and economic aspects of a project. It assesses whether a project is technically feasible and economically viable. In other words, it helps answer questions like:
Does the project make sense financially?
Are the technical processes and infrastructure solid?
What risks are involved, and how can they be managed?
Why Is It Important?
A TEV report provides an unbiased view of a project’s potential success. For investors and banks, it’s a critical tool for risk assessment. It helps ensure that funds are only committed to projects that have a high likelihood of success. Without it, you might miss potential red flags or opportunities that could affect profitability in the long run.
Key Components of a TEV Report
Technical Feasibility:
Is the technology behind the project reliable and up to date?
Does the project have the right infrastructure and manpower?
Economic Viability:
Does the financial model show profitability?
Are there realistic projections for revenue and costs?
Risk Analysis:
What are the potential technical or economic risks?
How can these risks be mitigated?
Market Analysis:
Does the market demand exist for the project?
What are the competitive forces at play?
Environmental Impact:
How does the project affect the environment, and are there sustainability measures in place?
Who Needs a TEV Report?
Investors and Venture Capitalists: Before committing to a startup or new business project, investors need solid data.
Lending Institutions: Banks use TEV reports to evaluate loan applications for major projects.
Government Bodies: In public infrastructure projects, TEV reports ensure that resources are allocated to sustainable and beneficial initiatives.
Final Thoughts
Whether you’re looking to get funding for a startup or embark on a massive infrastructure project, a Techno Economic Viability report is your roadmap to success. It offers insights into not just whether the project can be done, but whether it should be done. With solid technical analysis and financial projections, you can make informed decisions and reduce the risk of failure.

Last February, I travelled to Pangasinan for work. When we travel, we are given some form of extra compensation in cash for meals and other expenses, this is also known as Travel Expense Voucher (TEV). Since I work for the government where funds are scarce and every penny is accounted, we need to make an accomplishment report detailing where every peso went. Should we fail to submit the necessary requirements, we cannot reimburse the money we spent for that particular travel. That's just how things go around here.
Anyway, I submitted all of the requirements days after I arrived and the check came in today and I needed to encash it. I was relieved when it came but I'm also dreading the hassle that comes with encashing a check because the agency I'm currently working at has a partnership agreement with a bank that's different from the bank that I'm currently invested in, and in order for me to minimize the costs that comes with depositing checks from different banks, I need to encash the check then go to my bank and deposit the money.
It's incredibly hot outside, 37°C to be exact. I needed to go to UCPB, the bank that the agency is using, to encash the check. I figured since it's been a while since I made any attempt to exercise I might as well walk... free cardio, right?
The distance from my office to the bank is reasonable; a 20-minute walk and then I'll have the cash! So I set off and oh, Lord, the scorching heat of the sun was nearly blinding! I was under a flimsy umbrella just to avoid some of the harmful UV rays, but it didn't do much with the undeniable fact that the sun was at its peak!
After a couple of minutes, I entered the bank, filled out the forms, and as my queue number was called, I approached the counter and behind the desk was a pretty young lady! She was about my age and she was wearing a rose pink colored blouse and navy blue pants. She seemed nice so I thought I could maybe tell her a joke because I was hoping to at least hear her laugh. She was smiling at me with sympathetic eyes, probably because I was SWEATING profusely and I didn't have anything to wipe the moisture that's dripping all over my face and body!
I handed her the check, she then glanced at it and asked me,
"Sir, okay lang po ba kayo?"
I was touched (and a little bit concerned) because it had been a while since a stranger have shown me some form of concern and kindness.
"Okay lang po, kayo po ba?" I smiled through the face mask.
"Um... Sir, Security Bank po ito." She replied.
Imagine how mortified I was when it hit me! I ENTERED THE WRONG BANK. I was supposed to go to UCPB but instead, I went to Security Bank! It dawned on me how I missed all of the signs because I was sweaty and tired from the heat: the guards outside greeted me before I came in; and the forms I filled out had a header that clearly states the name of the bank, even the queue number had the bank's name! And on top of that, the name of the bank was built into the building in capital letters!
"Sorry po! Lutang na lutang lang!" I said, clearly embarrassed.
She was trying not to laugh at me but I can see that she's struggling, so I laughed at myself and then a couple of seconds later, she joined in! Some of the clerks looked at us but I didn't care because I was tired, and sweating, and this girl was laughing with me at how silly I was for confusing the two very, very different banks!
I didn't get to encash the check like I initially planned because UCPB had a cut-off and I didn't make it on time, but it really didn't matter. I was victorious because I made the girl laugh, albeit not because of how charming I was, but I made her laugh nonetheless.
It definitely made my trip back to the office a little lighter! :)
love always,
Gerson

JUST IN: Another 'Bingo' for Science Of Cycles Research, New Study Shows Rhythmic Oscillation of Charged Particles
In an article I published on August 18th which was Part I of a three part series, I made the following statement. "As we gain increased knowledge of the when-where-how of various charged particles, which encompasses such things as Black Holes, Supernovas, Gamma Ray Blasts, and Coronal Mass Ejections - we develop a cognizance lending itself to a measure of predictability. As a naturally directed outcome of evolving research - it is the "Science Of Cycles" which takes us to the next level of aptitude which could very well bring us to the cusp of an extraterrestrial neighborhood." Article Here
Now, in a new discovery just published reported in a paper published at Cornell University arXiv Library, the 'science of cycles' has made a significant leap. Astronomers have detected transient 'rhythmic oscillations' in the gamma-ray emission from the blazar Markarian 501. In general, blazars are perceived by astronomers as high-energy engines serving as natural laboratories to study particle acceleration, relativistic plasma processes, magnetic field dynamics and black hole physics. Rhythmic; movement or procedure with uniform or pattern, and Oscillation; source that repeatedly and regularly fluctuates.
A group of astronomers led by Gopal Bhatta of the Astronomical Observatory of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland, has analyzed the observational data of Mrk 501 collected by the Large Area Telescope (LAT) of NASA's Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope, between August 2008 and June 2018. The study resulted in the detection of rhythmic oscillations in the blazar's gamma-ray emission. **Science Of Cycles keeps you tuned-in and knowledgeable of what we are discovering, and how some of these changes will affect our communities and ways of living. Blazars, are classified as active galaxies that host active galactic nuclei (AGN). Their characteristic features are relativistic jets pointed almost exactly toward the Earth. In general, blazars are perceived by astronomers as high-energy engines serving as natural laboratories to study particle acceleration, relativistic plasma processes, magnetic field dynamics and black hole physics.
Located some 456 million light-years away, Markarian 501 (or Mrk 501 for short) is a blazar with a spectrum extending to the highest energy gamma rays. It is one of the nearest blazars that shines bright in the X-ray and one of the earliest extragalactic sources detected in the TeV band. According to the study, astronomers found a strong signal of quasi-periodic oscillation (QPO) with a periodicity of around 332 days. They added that the gamma-ray flux modulation in this blazar gradually decayed in strength during the recent years.
The study presents several hypotheses about what could be the driving force behind such rhythmic oscillations in Mrk 501. The research team suggest various scenarios, including supermassive binary black holes, jet precession and accretion disk precessing under gravitational torque. Additionally, the researchers concluded that further analysis of Mrk 501 and discussion on the topic are needed in order to definitely determine the most plausible theory explaining the origin of the oscillations in this blazar. __________________ Science Of Cycles Research Fund Keep Us Going: Science Of Cycles keeps you tuned in and knowledgeable of what we are discovering, and how some of these changes will affect our communities and ways of living.

Nemesis
2947.04.05_19:47SET To: scire_facias From: Nergal Subject: Eagle Eye
I’m in need of some covert comm surveillance of an Elysium-based anti-Tevarin hate group. Heard from a few members of the Orion Network that you’re the best at this. I’ve got plenty of credits to bring to the table in exchange for your services.
Now, if your reputation is half of what I’ve heard it is, you’ll find this out anyway, so I’ll save you the hassle. I’m an Advocacy analyst stationed in Jalan. My job is to sift through the spectrum to look for potential people of interest, which led me to discover some anti-Tevarin messages directed at Senator Suj Kossi from a group calling themselves Nemesis.
The group organizes anti-Tevarin protests across the planet, and have drawn bigger and bigger crowds whenever Senator Kossi holds an event on Elysium. Their hateful rhetoric can also be found bubbling up all over spectrum. I’ve been keeping tabs on them for a few months, but so far, they’ve operated within the rule of law.
However, their leader, who calls himself Matthys, recently vanished with a handful of his most ardent supporters. I ran it up to my superiors, but they wouldn’t commit to anything without more concrete evidence. These guys have been too smart for that. That’s why I decided to reach out to you.
I can understand your apprehension about working with me, but we both know that doing what’s right isn’t always lawful. I attached all the active casefiles I have on Matthys and Nemesis so you can see who you’re dealing with.

intriguing …
but i’m like 95% sure this is some bold ass entrapment scheme. only one way to know for sure
unfortunately for you, i’m not into money. attached is a list of people. send me all their casefiles each & every last one of them. none of this ‘i cant access that file for this reason or that.’ you need to prove that youre willing to play ball before i join the team.
fyi, i already got a few files on that list … so dont think you can sweep out the info on them without me noticing. think of it as a test.

Fine. Took me a bit to gather all the info, but it’s all there. You damn well better not screw me on this. I’m putting my career on the line here. Don’t think there won’t be any retribution if you ruin it.
You raised the stakes, so I’m raising them back to you. I want current location and any known associates for Matthys. After sending you this, I better not hear that you couldn’t find anything.
Contact me immediately if you uncover anything I can use to shut Matthys and his thugs down. Otherwise, I expect weekly reports on what you find. If one of them sneezes over comms, I want to know.

your gut was right, but matthys isn’t the mastermind you thought. the attached stream should clue you into why nemesis went dark.
couldn’t trace who was on the other end of the exchange. signal had high-grade encryption and was spun through a ton of proxies. all that work was almost enough to impress me. shifting sifting through the noise to see whos on the other end might be possible. just not part of our original deal.
im open to pursuing it, if you’re willing to part with more info. even cut you a deal.

MATTHYS: Sir, we found one.
UNKNOWN: Excellent. Where?
MATTHYS: Sitting on the saddle point of a remote mountain pass. Looks like the shrine’s location would perfectly align with the summer solstice just as you predicted. Creeps me out thinking about all the evil rituals they probably performed here. I’ll send you the exact nav points as instructed.
UNKNOWN: Make sure to follow the encryption instructions exactly as I gave them to you.
MATTHYS: I know, I know.
UNKNOWN: That very well may be but it’s worth reiterating, it’s essential that no one else finds out about this.
MATTHYS: Don’t know why, plenty of people would thank you for what you’re doing.
UNKNOWN: I’m not much for adulation. All I want is to keep the Rijoran blight from re-infecting Tevarin minds. Which brings me to my next question, had the shrine been disturbed before your arrival?
MATTHYS: No way.
UNKNOWN: You sound confident.
MATTHYS: The entrance was blocked by rocks that hadn’t been moved in ages. Couldn’t even see it at first. On top of that, the shrine was cut into one of those strange rock formations that’s all over these mountains. Hell, we would’ve driven right by this one if we weren’t being methodical with our scans.
UNKNOWN: Was there anything inside?
MATTHYS: We’re still pulling everything out of there. The place was packed to the ceiling. Looked more like a storage facility than a shrine when I first stepped inside. I’d guess some Tevs used it to hide anything they didn’t want destroyed during the Purge. No idea what half this shit is but it’s gotta be worth a small fortune.
UNKNOWN: I was very clear when I hired you that nothing was to be removed.
MATTHYS: Selling this haul could bankroll my crew for years.
UNKNOWN: Selling it might generously fund your little group, but it could also help spread that foolish ideology across this Empire, inspire Tevarin communities to stand up against the Empire. Is that what you want, Matthys?
MATTHYS: No, sir, but—
UNKNOWN: You will return the artifacts to the shrine and use a core to melt every single vile piece into slag. Nothing, and I mean nothing, must survive. I don’t care how much it’s worth. Do you understand, Matthys?
MATTHYS: I do, but my crew might—
UNKNOWN: Your crew needs to be reminded about what’s at stake here. If they really want to end the threat of a resurgent and rebellious Tevarin population, then this is what must be done. If not, then they might not be as loyal to the cause as you think.
MATTHYS: Guess that makes sense.
UNKNOWN: Now that we know these shrines really exist we must move fast to eliminate the rest of them before anyone discovers what we’re doing.
MATTHYS: It’ll be a great victory for Humanity if we do.
UNKNOWN: Turning the entire site to ash is more important than you could ever imagine. It’s the only way we can ensure the Rijora remains lost to history.
