TES HYPNOKINK GROUP PRESENTS: Hypnosis and D/s with MrDream and GleefulAbandon!
Fantasies about hypnosis often focus on control. While the hypnotist does not have to be dominant, and the subject does not have to be submissive, hypnotic play often explores those tropes. In this class, we'll see how D/s fantasies come to life through hypnosis, in both short-term play and long-term dynamics. Taught by a Dominant and submissive in a years-long hypnotic relationship, we will show ways to share the intensity of hypnotic power exchange while still being fully based on consent. While this class does not teach introductory hypnosis techniques, beginners interested in exploring D/s are encouraged to attend.
@hypnokinkwithmrdream has been organizing and presenting for the Hypnokink community since 2010. He is a co-founder of the Hypnosis New York group, the Deepmind Darkwood hypnosis retreat, and has attended all of the NEEHUs and taught classes on hypnosis, kink, intimacy, sex and romance nationally. He is the founder of the League of Ethical Evil Hypnotists; muahahahaha. He is a former board member for TES.

The below is a line up of the fantastic hypnokink presentations that are happening at TES FEST next weekend!
There are so many other types of great classes as well! Weekend and day passes are available!
Go to TESfest.org to register!
All classes are subject to change!
Look after the cut for the classes in TES Fest 2017′s Hypnokink Track!
“So You Want to Be Hypnotized?” with GleefulAbandon & Pinky (Friday 6/30/17 - 2:15- 3:30pm in Boardroom A)
Now that you’ve decided you want to bottom for hypnosis, do you feel daunted by where to begin? Are you full of questions, or not even sure what it is you should be asking? Fear not; Pinky and Gaby have been through it all, and are here to help! New or newish bottoms (and everyone of all experience levels) are welcome to learn about a myriad of topics, from how to know if you’re in trance, to scene negotiation, to tackling myths, and much, much more! Not a subject? Not a problem! Come on down to get a little more insight into the other side of the hypno-coin. Join us for caring, sharing, and staring (at shiny things!)
Intro to Hypnokink with MrDream (Friday 3:45-5:00pm Boardroom A)
Do your first Induction. Learn how to use hypnosis in kink, kink in hypnosis and why RACK works great to build amazing scenes while following great habits of consent for responsible safer play.
Induction Starter Kit with Wiseguy ( Friday 5:15-6:30pm Salon C)
Versatility is key to being a successful hypnotist. In this extended workshop, Wiseguy presents a set of inductions that will give you the ability to hypnotize people in a variety of ways so that you can suit the induction to each partner. Bring a practice partner if you can; people willing to be practiced on are extremely welcome.
The Ins and Outs of Hypnotic Cotopping with Zany Danger and MrDream (Saturday 9:00AM-10:15AM Salon C)
Tops that play together, stay together, but how do we bond as tops in a scene? Co-Topping! By joining forces, hypnotists can create even more attention on a lucky subject, or combine hypnosis with other kinky skills to create special moments. Zany Danger and MrDream will demonstrate and discuss different kinds of dynamics between partners, as well as teach techniques in hypnotic co-topping that allow for more fun, more sexy, and more powerful scenes. Most importantly, we will show how sharing the experience of hypnosis can allow for dominant/top partners to connect in a meaningful way, both to their top and bottom partners.
Hypnosis for More Creative Doll Play with D-Artagnan (Saturday 10:30-11:45am Boardroom A)
If you’re a fan of doll play or any kind of play that has you transform someone into something else then you know how important nuance and creativity are. If personal preference is taken into account every doll, robot, android, etc. will have it’s own unique features and idiosyncrasies. This class goes over just that, covering ways to use hypnosis in order to turn you partner into the most beautiful or terrifying construct you all can come up with.
Making it Stick with Wiseguy (Saturday 12:00-1:15pm Salon C)
A lot of hypnotists find that sometimes it’s hard to get a suggestion to really take hold in their partner’s mind. In this class Wiseguy will explain some of the reasons this can happen, demonstrate techniques for helping to seat suggestions in your partner’s mind, and discuss what to do when, despite your best efforts, the suggestion still doesn’t seem to work as intended.
HELLRAISER HYPNOSIS with Jaden ( Saturday 2:15-3:30pm Boardroom A)
A Bottom’s Perspective Note: While all are welcome, this is not a beginner level course, and do to the intense nature of the subject matter, may not be suited for the faint of heart. Do you ever fantasize about inflicting or experiencing intense pain, such as vivisection, skinning or filleting, but can’t because that pesky mortality gets in the way? Never fear, hypnosis can help. Join Jaden for a night of demonstration, tips and tricks for pushing your mind, or that of your bottom, past your physical limitations, as well as dealing with potential sub/top drop. It’s bound to be a Hell of a time.
Phrasing! How to Choose Your Words with D-Artagnan (Saturday 5:15-6:30pm Boardroom A)
We’ve all had the paranoid notion that the creaking noise coming from downstairs was not “just the pipes” but something much more sinister. Through Hypnosis, we can take that feeling and turn it into a surreal, terrifying experience. Exploring the sensation of fear, its root causes and ways that we can amplify it; this class offers a great slew of options for both advanced and developing hypnotists and subjects. Attendees will leave not only with a better understanding of how fear manifests but how we can draw inspiration from all things to create it.
CANNIBALISM & VORAREPHILIA with Iya (Sunday 9:00-10:15am Salon C)
Crossing over with primal play and submissive inclinations of being consumed, Cannibalism & Vorarephilia, Erotic Human Consumption is a ‘gentle’ workshop on one of the more taboo topics in kink. In this workshop we will explore why eating the flesh of another human has been present in sexual fantasies and religious practices throughout the ages. Ideas for playing out these fantasies safely and without actual consumption of flesh will be demonstrated and shared. Drawing from fairy tales and modern psychological research literature, we will learn more about what draws people to this fantasy. How can we derive the pleasure from eating our partners or being consumed by another? Come explore how to enact such desires safely through imagination, food play, hypnosis and letting go into primal states.
TURNING UP THE JUICE with Baron Voltage (Sunday 10:30-11:45am Boardroom A)
Turn up the Juice/ Learn how to get the most pleasant sensations of electricity through hypnosis without all the equipment. Turn your Whole body into a tens unit, or any anatomy into a violet wand! Learn the ways to inflict delicious pain of a lightning bolt through the techniques taught/ Classroom to teach, willing subjects Just when ya thought it could get worse/ If you are seeking a way to create the absolute perfect scene of escalation for your partner, increasing their fear, tension, abject terror, then this class is for you. Through Hypnosis, the imagination is your limit, and the depths of your sadism knows no bounds/. Classroom to teach, willing subjects.
DEEPER, FASTER, EASIER with Wiseguy (Sunday 12:00-1:15pm Salon C)
Being hypnotized is an ability that improves with skill and practice. This session is for those who want to be better at going into trance, either for themselves or when playing with a hypnotist. Attendees will learn and practice practical tips and exercises for going into trance more easily, more deeply, and more quickly for any hypnotist they choose to play with.
Taking Their Breath Away - Hypnotic Breath Play: Use the Force! with Zany Danger (Sunday 3:45PM–5:00PM Salon B)
This class focuses on an topic that many people shy from trying due to safety concerns. With hypnosis, many of those dangers are less serious. I will talk about important safety precautions for this edgy but super hot sort of play. Watch me as I implant the breath control suggestion and play with it. Come see my mind control fantasies become real with a sexy technique inspired by Darth Vader.
TES HYPNOKINK LOUNGE with D-Artangan & ZanyM (Sunday 11:00pm-1:00am Boardroom A)
Sometimes with these big events it’s hard to find a good, open space to flex your muscles as a hypnotist or subject. Maybe you’ve learned some great things at one or more of the TESFest hypnosis classes and want to see it put into action? If so, come check out the Hypnokink Lounge! Run by the TES Hypnokink Group, and very skilled subjects & hypnotists, this lounge acts as a lively and creative space to practice. Meet up with other kypno-kinksters of all skills levels and interests in an open and safe space to talk about your most beloved brainy kinks. All you need to bring is yourself, your brain, and your willingness to play and learn. We hope to see you there!
Hypno Bondage with MrDream (Monday 9:00-10:15am Boardroom A)
A hands on course designed to help you explore several different methods of using hypnosis to perform bondage. This class is intended for both the novice who wants to learn to induce trance or be hypnotized as well as experienced hypnotists and kinksters who want to learn or practice hypnotic bondage with different people. We will also show how to complement rope scene with hypnosis and hypnosis with rope (or other bondage implements) so if you want to bring a bondage toy or rope, feel free.
Hypnotic Anesthesia and Enhanced Sensation with Wiseguy (Monday 3:45-5:00pm Salon B)
Learn how to use hypnosis to control and alter your partner’s body sensations. We will discuss and demonstrate techniques to reduce sensation (anesthesia) as well as to enhance and manipulate it, all for fun and erotic purposes.

4/21 Hypnosis New Jersey Presents: The Exploration Pattern For Erotic Hypnosis: Building Scenes Dynamically with MrDream
4/21 Hypnosis New Jersey Presents: The Exploration Pattern For Erotic Hypnosis: Building Scenes Dynamically with MrDream
Doors open at 1:30 and presentations start promptly at 2. We begin each class with a mini 101.
Through an application of the Exploration Pattern, we will utilize the skills of Exploring With Your Partner, and Responding With Intent, through the next steps of the pattern: Deconstructing Techniques And Goals Building Scenes With Layers
By approaching our goals, techniques, and desires with renewed attention to meaning and purpose, we will discover the simple achievable steps which we can follow to generate complex, unique and powerful scenes. Focusing on our partners and adapting to what is actually happening rather than a preconceived goal, the expression of passion and creativity can be shared in ways both intentional and unexpected.
We will discuss strategies and practical exercises to reinvigorate our favorite techniques and fantasies with playfulness, cunning and excitement, while fulfilling the ultimate goal: mutual exploration of our partners.
While intermediate to advanced subjects and hypnotists will learn how to utilize their existing knowledge in a new way, novices are encourage to attend and learn a well defined, easy to follow practical approach to creating extraordinary hypnotic experiences. The class will include exercises suitable for established partners as well as those who meet at class with a goal to not merely teach the hypnotist how to practice their craft, but to establish shared mutual exploration as the first step and ultimate goal of every scene.
Mr Dream has been organizing and presenting erotic hypnosis, hypnokink, and general BDSM events and classes since 2010 throughout the United States. Re: Your guide to new presenters. I see where it comes from, but most of it would require a formal leadership structure to function well, so how would you plan on getting that in place to allow mentorship to be mentorship and not just helping out a buddy?
Well first off, organizing stuff does require some form of organization. It may be limited or it may be large scale. The point for me is to use events as a way to generate community, and to use community as a way to support events, so certainly the two things are attached. I think I explicitly talk about the importance to community.
Events however often include some of these features. NEEHU6 had a class @Hypnoobiwan and I conducted in which people went through a development process for a class they were interested in teaching.
There seems to be a strange disconnect in which people believe community is defined as ‘folks who like doing the same thing’. Sharing common interests can be a basis for voluntary communities, but it does not automatically generate one. Community has to do with shared beliefs and collaborative efforts. There is almost always some sort of organization, even if it is not hierarchical, which transform interest into action.
Some people do not care about being members of a thing. They are interested in attending events but not in helping make events run. For them, there really isn’t much to offer.
For those who do want to have the benefits of a community, one of those benefits is the incubation of skills and talents. Communities are platforms in which we can develop ourselves as well as our relationship to others. It is inside of that type of structure that my suggestions can be effective (although there may be other ways). It is one of the draws to contributing to the community, a selling point, as it were.
In my personal experience, the way to generate this is to start off by creating a regular and predictable presence, like a monthly meeting or class, and then start to find ways for people to help. That builds a sense of shared commitment. Often big events generate a sense of community because of the teamwork, but it can also be a membership organization in which people get to do things like vote and participate in organization tasks. Sometimes a community is based around a location (like a club). Sometimes that location is virtual (although I do think that people putting in energy to go to a place at a time can reinforce the importance).
Community building/organizing is a big topic. My experience has been that patience and a willingness to welcome everyone is a key, but in the end it often relies on a small group or even a single person just persisting until things work. I will say that my group, Hypnosis New York, which became the TES Hypnokink Group runs without my leadership at this point, in part because I also believe in revolving leadership as a means to reduce barriers to participation.
That being said, anyone can book a space, post an event on Fetlife, Twitter, Tumblr etc, and make things happen. Creating a skillshare or unconference or short class program, or day long developmental workshop is all easy enough to do if you have interest. The fact is if you do it regularly it will create a community around it...
Hope this helps, not sure why this was anonymous.

TES Hypnokink Group Presents: Hypnosis and Consensual Non-Consent w/MrDream!
The junction between the reality of erotic hypnosis and the fantasy of mind-control is both challenging and rewarding terrain to explore. Consensual Non-Consent (CNC) allows partners to experience a wide range of scenes and play styles that are not possible through more explicit negotiation styles, yet the need for effective communication and collaboration is just as crucial as any other form of play. As both a style of relationship and method of negotiation, CNC is a valuable yet often misunderstood part of the kink world. Hypnosis provides tools and theme that ideally can add both to the thrill and feasibility of CNC based scenes..triggers, enhanced role-play, amnesia, and the wide range of suggestions possible with hypnosis offers an infinite creative palette. At the same time, hypnosis is also misunderstood, especially where it comes to questions of agency and consent. Through demonstration and honest discussion of some difficult topics, this class aims to provide realistic ways to explore the darker sides of hypnosis, and the use of hypnosis to enhance other BDSM applications of CNC, whether as part of a long term relationship, or as a component of negotiated play with trusted partners. This class is intended for any experience level but will deal with intense themes including consensual ‘rape play’ and emotional and physical sado-masochism.
Bio: MrDream (David) has been organizing and presenting for the Hypnokink community since 2010. Description for the class:
"I don’t think I was really in trance." "But I was still able to move my arm." "I’m a really difficult subject." "I guess I just can’t be hypnotized." Most of us have heard these sentiments, from our subjects or friends or even our own brains. This kind of thinking can lead to, at best, self-doubt, and at worst, someone deciding that hypno just isn’t for them. How can we as ‘tists make sure that our subjects have a successful and empowering trance experience, and come away from it knowing that hypnosis is a thing that they can do?
In this class, we’ll explore this very question, and discuss the things that ‘tists can do to help their subjects succeed. Some of the topics we'll cover: pre-talk and negotiation; safety; choosing the right inductions and triggers; and how to respond when your subject says, "That didn’t work!"
Subject-inclined folks are more than welcome as well: we would love to hear your thoughts on these questions! And if you feel like a quote-unquote difficult subject, we hope we can give you a new perspective!

(This class is primarily top-directed, but subjects, subs, bottoms, etc. are all very welcome and there will be plenty of useful information for all, not to mention gratuitous sexy demos.)

TES Presentation Notes (Nov 7th) Introduction To Hypnokink
Posted To Fetlife 11/8/2012
I actually have a handout that I was working on which I will try to get out early but I wanted to write down my notes before too long.
We started out with a quick introduction and then I gave a little ‘demo’ of a non-consentual scene as an example of the fantasy of hypnosis, although that was pretty hot and I think ZanyM would have been happy if we had gone a bit further.
At that point I talked a bit about consent and intent. I am very into intent lately. I know it seems obvious but I think one of the biggest challenges a hypnotist faces is 'what now’. I would really like to give a class almost entirely on how to think about your induction and deepening techniques based on your intent.
Demonstration Scene
This is intended to be an example of a full scene through the stages of Negotiation->Pre-Induction Talk->Induction->Deepening->Trance trigger->Post Hypnotic Suggestion->Awakening->Convincing->Retrance->Layering->Cleanup->Awakening
Negotiation/Pre-Induction
In this case I had a lovely volunteer (voluntold) who I was already friendly with, so it was a relatively easy negotiation. It is often the case that a subject isn’t sure what he is looking for so it is good to have a menu. In this case I offered classic D/s, bondage, sensation play, and transformation, and she chose sensation play. I managed to forget to ask for permission to touch partially because we are already friends but I brought it up a little later. I also forgot to mention that I was going to give a trance trigger which I would later remove. I have been trying to discuss these things ahead of time both because it is good manners and because it strengthens the trance trigger. I did my typical effort to suggest safe and appropriate trance and ability to come out of trance instantly when there was a reason for it.
Induction
The induction was done standing but I had my assistant have a chair prepared in case the subject needed it. We began holding hands and doing eye contact as I spoke. I told her that I would be speaking more loudly because of the class and we talked about how she felt with people watching. I discussed how she would be hearing things and having distractions and it was okay for her to notice them and then come back into trance. I noticed that she was starting to sway with me and I mentioned it. At that point she was already in a light trance so I let one hand go as a test and used it to drop her a bit more. She was in a pretty deep trance and I saw her getting less stable so I made the suggestion that she could fall forward and I got most of her weight.
I could feel her knees starting to buckle so we got the chair, got her seated, and I used sitting as a deepener as well.
Installing the Trance Trigger
I gave her a simple trance trigger and dropped her pretty far. The technique I use is something like “Because you like to feel this way and want it to be easier and stronger everytime I can give you a phrase that will let you go very deep very easily, and do you want that? <Wait for response> That’s right so the trance phrase is going to be and anytime you hear my voice say you go deeper, just like that and every time *** makes you deeper and deeper, and because we want it to be safe you know this will only last for a little bit but for now it will be very strong”
I did a bit of repetition until I felt like she was responding pretty quickly and automatically, and then I went to do the PHS.
Post hypnotic Suggestion
I began by telling her that I was now going to give her something that would be fun and would feel good, and taking her hand, I touched the center and suggested that there was a good feeling that she could feel whenever I touched that part of her hand. I allowed her to find something that made her smile and then I began to anchor that to the touch.
I also demonstrated meta anchor of moving the feeling up towards her heart which definitely got a response, and then I reintensified it in her hand. Her responses were always good clear ones.
Waking
I brought her out of trance and she seemed wide awake. I motioned for everyone to give her an applause and I put out my hand which she took not realizing the impact, which had her back on her seat and responding strongly. I then apologized for giving her the trance trigger without talking about it first, and triggered her with it which worked very nicely. A few more times and she was deeper.
Reinforcement
I demonstrated how if one palm was good two were better, and used that to put the trigger on both hands and did some play with pulsing and alternating. I then put her hands together which she played with for a bit. I talked about how touch could feel electric as well because the nervous system has electricity.
Cleanup
At this point I began cleanup, brought her deeper, and she responded well to the suggestion that the hand trigger would fade to a nice feeling that was less intense. I removed the trance trigger carefully and tested that it was clear. This process requires a little effort because you basically have to tell the subconscious that it is okay to let go of the good stuff because it will be there some other time. Lately I have found that by spending a little bit more time with cleanup that I have not had repeats of triggers staying after they were supposed to end.
Summary
The subject was able to experience the full range of a hypnotic scene. The group asked questions and I felt we managed to explain a lot of the components. Interesting after effects were that the subject was surprised to hear it was a 30 minute trance. Her sense was that it was shorter. Also her sensation was different than the thing she was imagining. She remembers feeling electricity rather than the feeling she started off with. I am not sure if this is because I suggested electricity later in the trance.
#Demonstration Scene II In my second demonstration it was intended to be a standard Cerbonne Butterfly trance. The subject was actually someone I had never met before, and I had no real connection with. In fact I would not have assumed she would make a good subject…
Pre-induction
I set up to do the induction in a sort of typical configuration with us sitting opposite of each other. I began speaking with her, asked permission to trance and touch. We spoke a bit about hyperfocus and I took her hand. At this point she looked over at the audience and was distracted. I asked why and she said because the front row participants were distracting her with a cupcake.
I asked her about being distracted by cupcakes, and I began to riff on the way she would smile when she heard the word cupcake. She was laughing at this, and I warned her about too much laughing, which made her laugh more, although she rationalized that it was just that cupcakes made her smile etc…
At this point I started up the classic induction, noting that the laughter and play had made her seem much more relaxed and able to focus.
Induction
I won’t go too into the details of the induction. You can look up a Cerbonne butterfly, but some interesting aspects. I was holding her hand and talk and she was not entirely relaxed but she had good eye contact and I could see she was starting to lacrimate and have eye flutter even at this point. The moment I began to have her follow my fingers, her hand relaxed completely, the signs of light trance were evident, her face relaxed and while I went a little bit longer than I needed to, the signal to drop (butterfly goes down, hand signals/tugs, command to sleep worked well. I noticed that she was not inclined to lean into me as some people like, so as she began to tilt away I adjusted her and said to lean back and go deeper (this is basic technique of using what is happening as a suggestion rather than trying to push against someones responses).
She went pretty deep and because the cupcake thing had started it, I gave a light suggestion that if I called her cupcake or said cupcake she would laugh and feel good, but it was not intense.
She came out of trance and seemed to have a good experience.
We proceeded to discuss what had happened and we repeated the induction but slowly and with breaks so that people could see it. I then discussed some of the ways to note trance state and had her face the room so that I could show more clearly what I meant.
Reinduction
At this point someone asked me something and I demonstrated an indirect induction by saying to the subject that I didn’t know how quickly she would go into a trance and if she would go deeper this time and maybe she didnt know either but it was okay and she dropped very deep very fast. I turned back to the audience and explained that by talking to them and not to her I was creating an opportunity for her to go even deeper into her own mind, unguided, and in some ways dissociated from me. We discussed this and she was clearly in a very deep state. I then said wake up cupcake and she laughed.
Then she said that she remembered laughing.
This all lasted about 3 minutes. She felt like it was a very long time. It was good to see this aspect of time dilation (with the first subject feeling like it was shorter and the second feeling it was longer).
Workshoping
We went into workshop mode and we had a few people doing the inductions. I think in general they riffed, which I appreciated since most of what I discuss involves adapting and awareness. I think they got good experiences.
We then did a very fast kinesthetic induction (stand behind subject and touch shoulders until the body is moving almost without conscious control…) it wasn’t my best demonstration but I think it gave folks a sense.
I am sure I missed some things. There were several hot demonstrations with ZanyM, there were some really good points that were made and discussed involving relationship to interogation scenes and so on.
In all this was the first time that I have gone with Demo first, and it worked well. I would probably be happy to do a 4 hour session with multiple demos and then practice things, but this wasn’t entirely the right place to do it. The group however was great and I felt good with everyone’s responses.
If you have comments or corrections to provide please feel free to add them to the comment section. I will probably clean this up. Handout to come as well.
