Here is the comic I made for Chapter 24 of To Be Warm in the Cold by @okiedoketm !! I had so much fun making it and researching sign language to make the last few panels feel genuine. And the colors!! The KANGVCD discord was lovely in helping me pick out the right colors, thank you! It's my dream to make comics and this project feels like a massive step forward. 🥰����🫶

I made a playlist inspired by all my feelings about Go from @okiedoketm 's incredible fic To be Warm in the Cold (which you can read here). I put the songs in order with what part of the story i associate them with, chronologically

If you wanna check out just one song first i reccomend Sam Jam by Covey, the most Go and Sanji sibling song there ever was, which ive been listening to on repeat for days

I also made some cover art for the playlist, based on one of my favorite scenes from the fic (from the beginning of chapter 4) the mental image of which is forever burned into my brain

Yoooo! I forgot to post this on tumblr oops! Here's a doodle page of scenes from To Be Warm in the Cold (the one where Sanji has another sibling). Okie treats me so well and lets me preview the new chapters, so I waited to post this one until after Sanji showed back up in the story but it's been out for almost a week now!! Catch up on the story here! A lot has happened since I posted my last Go fanart...

I couldn’t resist making another illustration for Chapter 25 of To Be Warm in the Cold by @okiedoketm

Seriously, listen to the description of this sandwich:

Curiously, Go peeks inside the bag. It’s three sandwiches wrapped in wax paper.

“Turkey, provolone, and cucumber with a cayenne honey drizzle,” Sanji says, pulling out a cigarette and lighting up. “On sliced ciabatta.”

Go rips away the paper and scarfs the first one down like a wild animal. They missed their brother’s food so fucking badly. Zeff’s cooking is beyond phenomenal, but Sanji has a lot of Go’s favorite recipes in his arsenal that the shitty geezer just doesn’t enjoy making, or that don’t have a place on a five-star menu.

Like sandwiches.

‘Fuck, that’s delicious,’ Go signs, still chewing. The cayenne honey is the perfect kick to the understated flavors of the turkey and provolone. The cucumber adds just enough freshness to the salty, dry sandwich. ‘Thank you. Holy shit.’

So fucking scrumptious, and for some reason I was starving every time I read this chapter. One day, I will eat it and feel true spiritual satisfaction for the first time in my adult life.

I went a little bonkers with the lighting and color filters hehe, I get carried away when I'm having fun! I was trying to emulate an anime screenshot look, I hope that came across. 🤪 I love these characters and this story and I'm so lucky that I get to draw this for everyone lol 💗

WOOHOO!!!! IT’S TIME FOR CHAPTER 29 OF TO BE WARM IN THE COLD!!! This is one of the funniest chapters ever. I’m so so so in love with it. And finally we get some new (gender and monkey affirming) fits!

This scene was really tough for me to read but I’m so glad it exists. Go’s body dysmorphia and imposter syndrome really hits hard. I hope things get better for them soon (spoiler warning: we’re still in the rising action of this arc 🌚🌝)!!!
