Listening to old fantasy movie soundtracks and imagining a montage of S and R falling in love in this dark-ish fairytale-ish au that’s been rotting in my brain since July...

SUNSET IS LIVE ON PATREON!! Happy Halloween y'all!
The Allegiances and Prologue have just gone up for all free members of my Patreon! Free members will be able to see up to Chapter 3 before the story releases to the public next year! Full Patrons get to see even more~
And, as a bonus - the Name Submission Form!
As an author, I've always found coming up with names for my characters to be one of my weaknesses - even for Warriors. There's only so many combinations I can make before my brain begins to melt.
So, I thought, why not allow my readers to submit their favorite names? Back in my early days of fic-writing, people would often collect name submissions to fill out the Allegiances for their stories, and I always liked tossing my hat into the ring to see what might happen to the names I'd given them.
I'd also like to know what names the fandom likes nowadays, even if you're not a reader of the AU. It'd be interesting to see how trends have changed since I was younger (I'm old now)!
These names will be used for characters in the next novella and third arc of the AU, which I aim to get as far into as I can.
There are some disclaimers, but the main things are this - I'm not looking for full profiles, and I will ultimately decide what happens to the character with your name. If you give me a non-Clan name, you can tell me where they might've come from. Other than that (and keeping things reasonably PG-13), go on and have fun with it! I look forward to seeing the results!

TB actors can't have fun...
And I don't know why but some of this post feels racist. That white guy makes black actors look plain, wtf?
It’s a very weird post to be sure.
I don’t care to address most of the other points because other people have spent months trying to drum into their heads that much of the hate that Rhaenyra faces is baseless and driven by misogyny.
“So it's straight up an insult to the actors not the characters. And weren't blacks the one who were angry because Criston and season 2 Aegon are too hot? And I mean Aemond is so famous and one of the reasons is because he's sexy and sorry to break it to you but Alicent is more beautiful and feminine that Rhaenyra... So yeah bullshit. Just Aegon himself is enough to make you guys all look plain.”
This made me laugh. I can’t lie. Steve Toussaint ribbing his cast mates, who he knows, will never be the issue they keep trying to make it. Everyone’s reaction to this has been strange. A couple of weeks ago, a tweet comparing Corlys to a horse had almost 5k likes. When black people were like, that’s a weird thing to tweet, everyone kept gaslighting us.
People kept telling us it wasn’t racially motivated, and they argued that the fact that only a crackship involving a dark-skinned black person was generating this much vitriol was simply coincidental. Keep in mind, in this fandom, everyone ships everyone, and I mean everyone. The fandom will hop, skip and jump over racism and racist posts to make ugly white people the victims.
In that vein, what explanations would the Greens offer for their usurpation? “She’s a whore and her children are bastards”? Do you honestly believe that Anno Domini MMXXIV, sane individuals will start screeching about “bastardy” and “whoredom” as moral failings? I need all of you to be serious. No matter how much you freaks try, Bobblehead and Crescent Moon will never be the victims you keep trying to frame them as. That last part about Alicent and Rhaenyra, what a weird thing to put out into the universe.
Also, I read the comments and I have to wonder where people are getting this George is anti-feudalism and anti-monarchy reading from. George is anti-war, and that is very clear in his writing, but the rest is just personal bias leaking through. Where is this coming from, considering the smallfolk are rarely individualised? Outside of prologues and epilogues, there are only four lowborn POVs in the entire body of work. There’s no movement to end monarchy and the concept of nobility. The main cast of characters are in the middle of various plots to reclaim/hold on to their ancestral seats. Well, except for Daenerys who is fighting slavery and Jon who is busy being dead.

What are you working on right now
I’m in a constant loop between like 6 diff fics that I open, stare at, write a couple sentences, then leave lmao.
• ranchers daughter x Arthur Morgan ( smut )
• a sorta reader replacing Eliza/following the og idea of Eliza being in the prologue with Isaac dying. Thing. ( angsty hurt comfort vibes )
• Dutch Van Der Linde x reader and er I guess we’ll call it boot riding ( smut. Filthy. Smut. )
• vampire Sadie Adler ( idk what this even falls under )
• save a horse ride a cowboy 🤧 ( smut. Obvs. It’ll be a shorter thing though. Like less than 2k words )
• and Epilogue Arthur Morgan x reader ( teeth rotting fluffy fluffy fluff with no TB )
I flit between them all and eventually one will be finished lmao

Xianzhou TB 2.4 Impression
Tumblr media
First of all, I didn't expect to receive full blow all Xianzhou x Borisin lore after knowing it's only Nanoka traning arc synopsis so this suprise me in good ways (lol)
While I sense tension every Feixiao Huaiyan Jingyuan + Jiaoqiu keep talking in sly ways scene, sometimes we're getting trio student master funny while somehow reckless scene. And funny enough these way two different stories goes well each other !
Mentionable scene :
Tumblr media
I'm laugh remembering this scene like hoyo really love to memeing things (lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tbh I don't know why he dislikes being called a cook, especially he love his spicy nabe (lol), now the question is he called himself a healer but why you're not abundance but nihility ?
And here we goes, the feeble scholar academic talks. Always remember to sus everyone use that words (lol)
Feixiao Yukong convo. It's interesting to know Yukong still searching for real Tingyun and suprisingly the one who know that info out of all people is Ruan Mei !
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh Moze, you really hit close to us introverts if you don't have assassin's creed vibe (now I want him but oh well he's 4* anyways lol)
Tumblr media
So we can conclude previous Loufu TB morelike prologue for this arc plus it sounds to me like SH making Luofu indebted on AE, create stellaron problems and Jingliu surrender herself are for this moment. There's possibility Elio saw Luofu destruction because of Hoolay's prison break plan.
Like there's three big group join forces just for Hoolay prison break which I think even Jingyuan or Fuxuan can't defend them all.
My conclusion : This story elevate Luofu TB as whole different story ! It explain most biggest weirdness I thought after finish Luofu TB before but then again, this TB needs your knowledge on books shattered around Luofu (lol) like Borisin and Foxian lore.
PS : but wow our AE really can't rest huh, after Penacony big event now this...

So, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury has an official short story, set after the prologue but before the main series.
Obviously, MSG:WFM fans should read this short story for context, lore, and/or something to tide them over to the next episode. But non-fans might be interested in some mild xenofiction from the perspective of a self-aware giant robot.
Well, Suletta. I guess you've grown up. You're no longer the little girl who used to hide inside me. I thought I'd been watching over you all along, but now you're the one teaching me a lesson.
It's a bit saccharine, and maybe it won't do much for people who don't already have some idea of who Sulette, Aerial, and their mom are. But I liked it.

so i started orv on a whim and im really really liking it so far!! i decided to start with the webtoon adaptation, is it good in your opinion or do you think i should read the web novel instead? i mostly started with the webtoon bc i was on webtoon n it was. There. but as the resident orv expert i thought i would ask your thoughts :)
omg ORV. HIIIII blows up but then puts self together again and twirls hair RESIDENT ORV EXPERT.... ME??? i'm honored........ i don't know if i deserve the role though because uh. tb completely h i haven't read the webtoon. like i read the prologue and that's it i haven't gotten any further than that..... this is my greatest shame i'm not fit to be considered an orvtual. that being said idk if i'm the best person to ask for thoughts about novel vs manhwa? i'll do my best to lay out what i do know for you though since you went to the effort of asking me!! if any of my orvtuals that are actually knowledgeable about both want to chime in feel free. sorry if this gets lengthy even if i'm not a super loyal fan i definitely get the normals over orv
so first thing to consider about orv as a whole in any form is that it's longggggg. the novel is composed of a prologue + 99 episodes + an epilogue, but those episodes and the epilogue were further split into smaller chunks during serialization so it's 551 chapters total. korean webtoons are usually split up in a similar way, larger story arcs split into small pieces for scheduled publishing, which is convenient for comparing them. based on a cursory look at the webnovel page, the latest chapter was number 135 and it's the very first part of episode 25. in the novel, chapter 135 is actually part 5 of episode 26, so you can see a slight discrepancy, but it's really not that bad. that timing is something, although it brings up a more pressing point to consider, which is that the novel is finished and the manhwa is like. not even a quarter of the way there. a webcomic chapter weekly is probably more digestible than a 551 chapter 1.3 million word webnovel, but you'll probably catch up before it reaches the end and then you'll either just have to wait it out for the end which would probably take a really long time or just start the novel while in the middle of the manhwa or something.
how accurate the manhwa adaptation is to the novel is what i can't really say since i haven't actually read the manhwa. i've heard that there's some notable changes, and although i don't know all of them or have seen how they've played out first hand they mostly sound pretty reasonable based on what i've heard of them. some of it is just like translation stuff, some of it is to avoid weird political things? this happens a lot whenever japan and korea comes up in each others media......... uh yeah it can get kind of messy there so sometimes skirting around it is probably just the safer option. anyways, to reiterate, i really can't speak much about this since i haven't read the manhwa, but i haven't heard anything about it being like drastically different and people generally seem to say really good things about the adaptation.
for my own personal thoughts. well orv is a frame tale. a story within a story. the webnovel within orv that kdj read is like the centerpiece of the whole story. if i was gonna be some sort of a purist about it, i'd tell you the original novel is the best way to experience orv. in all honesty though, it doesn't matter that much. like i vehemently believe if you're going to get really into orv you should read the novel at some point, but like again. 551 chapters. i get that a manhwa is way more palatable than that. even for other webnovels w adaptations like this, a lot of the time i'll read some of the adaptation to see if it interests me before getting into the novel. it's only because i'm sort of biased towards orv cause it's. well. orv. that i'd really push to read the novel, not even first if the thought of all those chapters and words are daunting to you. i'd much rather people get invested in the story through the manhwa than be turned off it as a whole just cause it's so long. if you're planning on just casually enjoying the story, than yeah, the webtoon is perfect for that. though if you could be convinced to go deeper. hey. take my hand. we can viewpoint this omniscient reader..... together.
okay. anyways. recap my main points in case i wasn't clear. 1) based on what i've heard just through word of mouth, the adaptation's been staying pretty true to the original and is doing a good job of telling the story 2) the novel is finished and the manhwa is, speaking bluntly, not even close 3) PERSONALLY. personally. if you're willing to put in the work to read orv and can appreciate it's 1.3 million word swag then i'd recommend you go ahead and start with the novel. BUT if the thought of all those chapters makes you nervous or makes the story sound any less appealing to you at all then definitely go with the webtoon while it's still fresh and relatively short. the most important part of orv is the way the story waves itself, and you should be able to see that pretty well either way.
so yeah that's what i have to say. i hope i could be somewhat helpful despite the fact that i'm a shameful fake fan and haven't actually read the manhwa ^^; and I HOPE THAT YOU LIKE IT no matter which one you decide to go with :]

Hi!!
🚀 Do you like to outline your fic first or create as you go?
🏷 Is there a tag you like to search for when looking for fanfics to read?
for the fanfic writers asks please :)
Hej! Thank you for playing!
🚀 Do you like to outline your fic first or create as you go?
This one really depends on what I am writing! Micros and the oopses that come from that are never outlines, they just happen.
There are things that I have written where all I had was the start and the end point, everything in between as pantsed. Fx. Echoes I knew I wanted them to end up together and have the 'Nah, she didn't' reference. Everything else was completely stream of consciousness.
Other fics I have outlined loosely. I wrote down sentences or snippets of dialogue that I wanted in there, but the rest just happened. TB(itb)ND is a good example of that.
These have the tendency to get out of hand. Like TB(itb)ND, which originally was supposed to be 4 chapters and the prologue. (We both know how that turned out xD)
Then there are things that are tightly outlined with most, if not all, beats I want to hit planned out. Like Ad Astra, which only went off script for two short scenes to tie up a B plot I had forgot to account for.
I will occasionally shift the outlines as I go and sometimes even the tightly outlined fics go off script (I am looking at you Sirius.), but less so when I know what notes to hit.
🏷 Is there a tag you like to search for when looking for fanfics to read?
Sometimes! Though, this is something I more often do when 'researching' a trope or a character for something I am not familiar with or unsure about.
That and spicy stuff.
60+ comments are waiting for rescue. Ask me something to get them answered. (Random asks encouraged.)

Hey all!
The final main series book of the second arc, Sunset, is starting this Friday over on Patreon!! If you're not sure how this works, here's a rundown:
Free members will get access to the Prologue, Allegiances, and the first three chapters of Sunset! After that, the chapters will remain exclusive to full patrons.
After 10 chapters (not including the Prologue and Allegiances) are posted on Patreon, Sunset will begin posting here on Tumblr and on FanFiction.net! This puts the public release somewhere in January.
It's only $1 to join Patreon and see the story unfold, and Patrons also get access to our little Discord, my other original writing like Otherworld, any upcoming TB AU novellas, and exclusive art for all my projects! We have a very chill community, and we'd like to meet you, and even if you decide you can't support me for long, that's fine; you can still stick around the Discord!
I've also got something special planned: When Sunset begins, I'll be posting a simple Google Form, both here and on Patreon! What's it for? Names!
While I'm still uncertain about whether I'll be able to see the third arc through to completion, I still intend to try - which means that the Clans are going to experience a bit of a boom in population, and those cats need names! I thought it would be a fun idea to ask you all to submit some names* and see where they wind up and what they end up doing!
That's about it for now, so get ready for the end of the second arc of the TB AU!
*there won't be any favoritism between Patron and non-Patron submitted names, so don't worry!

Here's the prologue the Beauty & The Bowser! I pretty much just completely based it off of the narrating monologue in the Disney Animated movie for B&TB, and changed it up to fit Bowsy and his backstory.

The Sequel Update You've Been Waiting For
Hi there again, my lovelies!
Tumblr media
I hope y'all are doing well. One thing's for sure...I'm surely exhausted from this week. Between going to school and suffering from a bad cold (wish me luck that this is over tomorrow), I am beat.
Tumblr media
But I digress, because I have good news for y'all :)
The sequel to my first novel I ever put out there, Kingsman: The Whiskey Rebellion, is now out on Wattpad! I just finished up with the first chapter (and a surprise prologue) today, and I'm super proud of it :)
Tumblr media
So if you haven't already, go check out the prologue and Chapter One of "Kingsman: The Devil's Gamble" on Wattpad, and keep a look-out for more chapters. I don't know when I'll complete them (because of my classes at university, band rehearsal, and all that), but rest assured...I'll complete them for y'all to see.
Thank y'all so much, and I hope you have a fantastic day! I love you all :)
Tumblr media
~TB
*Congrats! You made it to the end! Here's a cute little GIF of our cute little cinnamon roll of "Internet Daddy" to make your day :) *

Just to put takes that would make the fandom scream and seethe the most if they saw this in a reblog, hers some thoughts on making a good prequel remake:
Ditch the phantom menace entirely. The vast majority of that movie is entirely superficial to the actual story of Anakin's fall. Same with Qui Gon in general, he doesn't matter. Have Obi Wan find Anakin on tattooine while on Jedi business and take him in. Show it in a prologue or a flashback or anything. The invasion of Naboo/trade federation stuff there can just be mentioned too in dialogue. Something like "There's talk that some systems may be planning to secede from the republic. Ever since the Trade Federation's botched blockade of Naboo tensions have been high." Literally all you need.
For the majority of parts do not cast legacy actors. They're mostly too old at this point and having to digitally de age your cast so much would suck. Hayden Christiensen could have a cameo as burnt face Vader at the end or smth. Only one I'd maybe accept is Ewan as Obi wan, he's not too horribly old for it.
Show us Anakin and Obi Wan adventuring! Establish more of their proper dynamic in Clones! This is also my idea for keeping it a trilogy without Phantom Menace. The middle movie should be an adaptation fleshing out some of the best Anakin and Obi Wan material from Clone Wars! Taking that episodic material and adapting a good story from it in a way that doesn't just feel like some TB episodes could be a challenge, but there's good ass writers out there who could 100% do it. Even just make up something new, I just suggest adapting clone wars material since there's so much right there. (Honestly the Anakin Obi Wan stuff at the start of the last 4 EPs of clone wars S7 is a better start to Revenge of the Sith than the actual start to revenge of the Sith lol)
Ditch the crazy hyper choreographed lightsaber fights. Go back to OT style stuff! The sequels went for more of that and it was great. There's just 0 emotion in the absurd spectacle duels of the prequels. For Anakin and Obi Wan, their fight should last like 5 minutes.. It should be brief and potent like the samurai cinema that inspired much of OT star wars' duels! I want character. I want good dialogue! I want to see their emotional states reflected in the way they're fighting! I want their duel to actually reflect how they're feeling rather than just be an interminable special fx showcase of infinite backflipping. I could rant forever abt how I would want that fight to go, but I'll leave it at that.
Anyways hottest take of all: Rian Johnson would be an extremely good pick for a prequel remake.
Star Wars prequel revisionism is lame. Those movies suck ass and having fond memories of them from when you were a kid doesn't change that.
I loved them as a kid too, but god damn do they not hold up. I don't care how good the actual story they're telling is they're executed so poorly that without already having lore knowledge about what's going on there's next to 0 emotional impact.
Surrounded by yes men, George Lucas couldn't write a script to save his life, and he couldn't direct to save his life either. These movies barely even pass the fucking Turing test the dialogue and acting is so stilted.
Also the sequel trilogy not being great does not retroactively make the prequels good. They're both bad (tho the prequels are significantly worse). I see a lot of people trying to frame it as the prequels being non-corporate cinema, George Lucas telling his true vision! Vs Corporate Disney Star Wars garbage. But like, the prequels are as corporate as it gets. The original trilogy cash cow was starting to dry up and Lucas wanted money. He shat the scripts out quickly and got to work on putting together a product that could be intensely merchandised to line his pockets.
There's good ideas in the prequels, concepts that if portrayed well, in smarter scripts, with better directing, would've been fantastic! But those concepts weren't done well because they're lazily written garbage because the primary goal in making them was to make a lot of money...
Imo Clone Wars (cartoon) being a solid (sometimes fantastic!) as it is/was does a lot of emotional heavy lifting for the prequels. If you go into Revenge of the Sith having watched that series Anakin's story really does feel more heart wrenchingly tragic... but without another piece of media that actually has Anakin as a well written and acted character we come to like, if you watch that movie on its own terms without supplemental knowledge, there is 0 emotion. We're almost never shown Anakin and Obi Wan's friendship and Anakin just comes off as a weird creepy asshole. Also his fall is intensely rushed to the point of absurdity. No amount of clone wars solves that. (Seriously the man goes from "what have I done" to "yes lord Sidious I will slaughter children" in about 5 seconds...)
They're just shit movies.... I honestly would love to see them remade. I don't really trust disney to do that well, but it'd be cool if we did have a good version of Anakin's story.
