Bandai Japan Welcomes Ano to the Tama Family at the 2023 Tokyo Toy Show

Yama Shimizu Ano, better known as Ano, is a singer, model, actress, and former member of the Japanese alternative girl group You’ll Melt More! When Bandai announced the Tamagotchi Uni, they appointed both Charli D/Amelio, a global influencer with over 150 million followers on TikTok, and Kemio, a video creator with a huge following among young people globally as Tama Family ambassadors. As Tama Family ambassadors they will be communicating the appeal of Tamagotchi to the world. Tama Family is a Tamagotchi fan who loves Tamagotchi.

Bandai Japan specifically mentioned that on June 8th, 2023 that they would be announcing a third member of the Tama Family, and they did at the 2023 Tokyo Toy Show! Ano has been appointed as part of the Tama Family at the Tokyo Big Sight during the 2023 Tokyo Toy Show at the Tamagotchi booth!

Ano attended the appointing ceremony in her Mametchi themed dressed (which matches Mametchi’s color perfectly) along with a headband that features a tooth in the upper left-hand corner. Ano was accompanied by two MC’s (master of ceremonies), Kin-chan and Sakai-san, and the stage was lively!

In addition, you can meet Ano in the Tamaverse! Ano has raised Picohutchi with gray tooth, and her character will feature a gray tooth hand band when you’re in the Tamaverse. There is also a tooth hand band that you can download, which we’re assuming by a download code, but that has not yet been published.

Ano even has a poster of herself in the Tamaverse hanging out with so many Tamagotchi characters! There was even a delicious cake on display featuring both Mametchi and Ano with their tooth hats on, surrounded by delicious fruit! Can we get a slice? Welcome to the Tama Family, Ano!

I got so close to saying "say sike right now" when Solo said Sami was their fifth member and he came walking out. Gosh dang, I swear I thought it was real. I'm so glad it wasn't. I'm glad for Jey, because Sami joining Solo's side would have been so bad for Jey. It would have been such a betrayal and while I love angst I don't ever want to see them at odds again if I don't have to.
