Beat the Heat Naturally: A Guide to Air Coolers
As the summer sun intensifies, the search for an effective and budget-friendly cooling solution becomes paramount. Air coolers emerge as a compelling alternative to traditional air conditioners, offering a natural and cost-conscious way to combat the heat. But are air coolers right for you? Let's delve into the world of air coolers and explore their benefits, drawbacks, and how they compare to AC units.
How Air Coolers Work:
Unlike air conditioners that use refrigerants to cool air, air coolers employ a more natural process involving evaporation. Here's a simplified breakdown:
Water Reservoir: Fill the air cooler's tank with water.
Cooling Pads: A pump draws water and circulates it through absorbent pads.
Air Circulation: A fan pulls in hot air from the room.
Evaporation: As air passes through the wet pads, water evaporates, absorbing heat from the air.
Cooler Air: The cooled air is then blown back into the room.

Benefits of Air Coolers:
Cost-Effective: Air coolers are generally less expensive to purchase and operate compared to traditional AC units.
Natural Cooling: They utilize a natural evaporation process, avoiding harsh chemicals or refrigerants.
Eco-Friendly: They consume less energy, making them a more environmentally friendly option.
Humidification: Air coolers add moisture to the air, which can be beneficial in dry climates.
Portability: Many air coolers are compact and lightweight, making them easy to move from room to room.
If you live in a very hot and humid region or require powerful cooling, an air conditioner might be a better option.
Remember, air coolers work best in well-ventilated areas. Consider using them alongside ceiling fans for optimal air circulation. Visit Poorvika for the Best Price.

Seeking an affordable air cooler to ease summer heat and reduce energy costs.
Consider the size of the room: When choosing an air cooler, it is important to consider the size of the room you want to cool. The bigger the room, the more powerful the air cooler should be.
Type of air cooler: There are different types of air coolers available, such as portable air coolers, tower air coolers, and window air coolers. Choose the one that suits your needs and fits your budget.
Cooling capacity: The cooling capacity of an air cooler is measured in CFM (cubic feet per minute). Choose an air cooler with a high CFM rating for better cooling efficiency.
Water tank capacity: The size of the water tank in an air cooler determines how long it can run before needing a refill. Choose an air cooler with a large water tank if you need to cool a large room for an extended period.
Power consumption: Air coolers consume less power than air conditioners, but it is still important to choose an air cooler with low power consumption to save on energy bills.
Noise level: Air coolers can be noisy, especially if you choose a high-powered model. Consider the noise level of the air cooler before making a purchase.
Tumblr media
Brand reputation: Choose an air cooler from a reputable brand that offers a good warranty and after-sales service. Leading brand called Symphony is available in Poorvika at an affordable price range.

“Eyes Open,” {v.s}
A/n: first installment of my NSFW Dialogue Prompt Special — featuring everyone’s favorite chef ❤️ I had quite a fun time writing this, and I hope that you beautiful peeps will enjoy it!
Tumblr media
Warnings/tags: explicit sexual content, soft!sanji, but also mean!sanji, cunnilingus, first times, virgin!reader, experienced!sanji, prompt, blurb, sexualization of Taz Skylar’s (alleged) tongue piercing (its canon to me), tongue fucking, hair pulling, 100 follower NSFW dialogue prompt special
Genre: smut
Word Count: 1.8k
Pairing: Sanji x fem!reader
Prompt: “Keep your eyes open; look at me, baby.” (#1 from list)
{{:================================:}}
You had no idea it could feel so good.
You didn’t know what Sanji was doing, or how; all you knew was that your pussy felt like it was melting beneath his tongue, all slick and sloppy, electric currents traveling up your hips every time your clit throbbed beneath his affections.
You’d heard talk of this, had listened when your friends gushed about the euphoria of it, but you had never once taken it to heart — you thought they were only hyping their experiences up in an attempt to look cooler. But now that you were experiencing it for yourself… it was more intense than you’d ever imagined.
Sanji’s tongue was a searing hot force against your clit, alternating between flattening against your pearl and circling it with movements that were far too skilled for him having “just a little bit of experience,” as he’d told you before; and every so often the man would switch it up by splitting your folds with the tip of his tongue, up and down, before pushing the slimy muscle just so into your pussy, pumping in and out deeper as if he were trying to spear you on it completely before returning to his original task of devouring your clit.
The sounds falling from your lips were ones you’d never once imagined yourself making; a mixture of whimpers and moans and heavy breaths, they were a symphony that harmonized with the tune of Sanji’s own muffled groans vibrating against your pussy. It was hot, your body was hot, you were tearing apart at the seams, Sanji was too fucking good with his tongue, and just what the hell was that was that warm, hardened ball you chanced a feel of from time to time, because it was zapping pleasure through you with the ferocity of some sort of hurricane —
“Open your eyes, doll.”
Sanji’s tongue had disappeared from your sex, taking it with it that searing pleasure, the loss forcing your eyes to snap open so you could level the man between your legs with a disappointed glare. The lone light turned on in the galley reflected the shine of spit and arousal smeared along Sanji’s chin and lips, which were lifted into that boyish grin that never failed to send flutters through your heart. Your brain almost completely short circuited at the sight of your own arousal glistening on that handsome face between your legs, and it took you a few embarrassing seconds to register that Sanji had spoken to you.
“Uh, what?” You asked smartly, words coming out as no more than wispy breaths. Sanji’s grin only widened and your hips nearly bucked off the counter when the man blew a stream of cold air against your overheated clit.
“You’re so sensitive, love. Does it really feel that good?”
Your skin flushed at Sanji’s antics, the bashfulness that had previously been overpowered by pleasure returning full force. Sanji knew you’d never been with another person this way, had never felt anyone’s hands, fingers, or tongue on you, had never felt the kind of pleasure that Sanji was shoving into you — it was embarrassing enough alone, and here he was teasing you about it.
Sanji ripped you from your state of silence by sliding a thick thumb between your folds, trailing from the very bottom and only stopping when the pad of his thumb reached your clit. With a spark in his eyes Sanji slowly rubbed a circle over your clit, pulling a sharp exhale of breath from between your lips as your hips trembled from the action.
“Answer me, doll.” Sanji gently commanded, the rolling timbre of his voice sliding over your body like a physical thing and demanding compliance from you. You couldn’t help but nod with a small, breathy, “yes.”
Sanji’s gentle expression turned downright devilish, the sight sending mixed signals of panic and arousal straight to your brain stem, and your heart thundered erratically with anticipation when Sanji leaned closer to your sex — that masterful tongue was so close to your clit now, if only Sanji would have the clemency to put it there.
“Show me how good it feels, love. Let me see the look in your eyes when you cum on my tongue.” Sanji growled, hands shooting up to wrap his forearms around your thighs and hold your lower body in place. Your breath halted in your lungs and you had barely a moment’s preparation before Sanji was diving into your pussy again, tongue and lips devouring every inch of it like a man starved.
“Fuck!” You hissed out as your clit was assaulted by a barrage of flicks and circles, pleasure zipping through your lower half much more intensely than before. Had Sanji been holding back before, or something? Sanji’s eyes were endless pools of deep ocean as he stared into yours, bottom half of his face completely hidden by your pubis, and your gut clenched almost uncomfortably with the familiar build of an orgasm.
The atmosphere had changed instantaneously; it was heavy, hot, full of tension and desire to a degree it hadn’t possessed before, and you could feel everything now.
You could feel every small physical detail of Sanji’s tongue as it laved over your cunt; the veins, the bumps, the ridges, that fucking ball. You could feel the tip of Sanji’s nose rubbing across the skin above your clit as he subtly shook his head, his groans and grunts vibrating your clit with a tortuous intensity, each and every sensation winding the coil inside your gut tighter and tighter.
“That’s it, baby,” Sanji breathed against your cunt, voice thick with arousal, “keep looking at me like that, fuck.”
Despite the flush it was bringing to your skin, you simply couldn’t tear your eyes away from Sanji’s — you couldn’t stop watching as he ate you, as his eyes fluttered every so often from the taste of you, those baby blues nearly swallowed by blankets of black. It felt almost as if Sanji was getting more pleasure than you were, his moans deep and consistent, tongue haphazardly shoving into your cunt and twisting. There was less grace about his movements, but the desperation and pure sloppy hunger within them made up for it entirely.
“Oh, my gods, Sanji,” you whimpered, head becoming fuzzy as that coil continued to wind, pleasure and pure passion now taking control of your body as you brought a hand down to grip a fistful of Sanji’s hair. You wanted that hot tongue closer, harder, deeper inside you, wanted Sanji to eat you like he meant it, make that coil finally snap, fuck.
Your hips rocked against his face, the movements hindered by the grip he still held on your thighs, and when you couldn’t use your hips to attain your desire, you used your grip in his hair as leverage to push his face closer. Sanji let out a guttural groan as you did so, his tongue now focusing all of its attention on your clit, flicking and sucking and circling, shit, it felt so good, you were losing your mind —
“S-Sanji, fuck, don’t stop.” You begged, tears pricking behind your eyes as your hips stuttered. It was so close, you could feel it, you were teetering right on the edge. You just needed a bit more. “Ah, faster, please, I’m almost there.”
Sanji groaned and dropped his forearms from your thighs, winding his hands up to instead grip your hips harshly. Never faltering the movements of his tongue, Sanji rocked your hips for you, nearly crushing your cunt against his mouth with the fast, hard pace he’d forced upon your hips. You let your body fall lax as Sanji manhandled you easily, guiding your body to the utmost point of pleasure, tongue leaving your clit to shove between your folds and wiggle inside your tight channel.
Sanji’s moans now rivaled yours in volume, and had you been in your right mind, you probably would have been concerned about whether or not someone could hear the lewd activities unfolding within the galley — but Sanji was effectively tongue fucking all coherency out of your brain, eyes locked on yours and that little ball scraping against the bottom wall of your cunt and driving you absolutely feral.
“Fucking shit, Sanji, it feels so good.” You moaned, fingers scratching against his scalp in appreciation, your hips trembling under his hands and that coil winding so tightly you were sure you were going to start cramping from it if it didn’t snap soon. “Keep fucking doing that, I’m gonna fucking cum.”
Sanji’s right hand curled forward until he could slide his fingertips against your clit, the combined stimulation of his tongue plunging into your cunt and firm fingertips rubbing circles into your clit nearly instantly snapping that coil. Your other hand swung down to grip his hair as well, and your hips bucked with abandon against his face as your orgasm ripped through you.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, yes!” You chanted, upper body curling around Sanji’s head as your hips twitched and your clit throbbed under his fingers. Sanji never slowed his caresses, didn’t once stop your movements, not until the waves of your orgasm had faded and the pleasure quickly turned into something unpleasant.
Sanji’s tongue slipped out of your cunt wetly, his hand giving your hip a slight squeeze as his other retracted from your clit, and as you sat dazed and breathless, still riding the high of your orgasm, Sanji maneuvered your bodies until he was now standing between your shaking thighs, his hands coming up to rest on either side of your neck.
“Are you okay, love?” Sanji asked gently, and all you could do was nod with a goofy sort of smile on your face. That had felt absolutely amazing, and your body was still buzzing, still hot and so, so fuzzy from the aftershocks. You leaned your forehead into Sanji’s chest, inhaling the subtle scent of his cologne, your near liquified arms coming up to wrap around his middle.
For a few moments, the two of you stayed like that, wrapped around each other, until Sanji finally broke the silence.
“You looked so amazing when you came, doll.”
The words were hot, spoken lowly with something akin to reverence, but there was something else eddying beneath them, something that told you there was more to the statement than just what he’d said. Your suspicions were confirmed when Sanji slid his hands from your neck and wrapped his arms around your hips, pulling your lower half flush against his, and your breath halted in your lungs when you felt the searing heat of his clothed cock against your core. It was fucking massive — and Sanji’s next lowly growled words sent a shiver up your spine.
“I can’t wait to see you when you cum on my cock.”

a/n: this is literally incoherent rambling... sorry. this is mostly just coming from the fact that i feel very lost rn so sorry in advance for that
not beta'd and barely edited, any and all mistakes are my own
bucky barnes & f!reader (any race) have a conversation on a fire escape
no warnings apply
my masterlist  | @lunarbucklibrary
The air is crisp and cold as you climb out the window and onto the fire escape. The metal railing is cool against your palms, grounding you to the moment. There’s too much smog in the city to see any stars other than the North Star.
Tonight, just like every night, you make a wish. You wish for things to be different, for someone to come sweep you off your feet and take you to Neverland. To take you away from all of this. And tonight, just like every night, you know that won’t happen. That doesn’t keep you from wishing, though. From gazing up at that bright ball of light in the smoky sky and wishing with all your might, for someone. Anyone, to come save you.
Your fire escape is small, but there’s enough room for a little picnic chair, which you settle into after making your wish. The sounds of the city echo and muddle together into a familiar symphony, the background to your nightly ruminating.
There’s just enough light coming from your bedroom window to journal by, and though summer is fading to fall, you can bear the cooler temperatures for long enough to do tonight’s entry. You pop the cap off your pen, flip to an open page and jot down the date.
Just as you start writing your entry, you hear the familiar sound of boots on the fire escape below you. You don’t need to peek down to know who it is. Well, technically, you don’t know his name, but you know his face. Those piercing blue eyes, that dimpled chin.
He moved in last month but no one in the building knows his name. He’s like a ghost. But you’ve come to think of him as your ghost, since every night, he comes out just like you do. You’ve come up with your own story of him, that he’s wishing on the stars just like you are. That he’s just as lost, just as confused, as you are.
You return your focus to your journal, scratching out your thoughts as they pour out of your head. You’re so focused that you miss the ghost from downstairs walking up toward you. You miss him taking a seat a few steps away from the top. You miss the way his familiar blue eyes trace your features, committing them to memory, and the small smile that graces his lips for just a moment.
“What do you wish for?” He asks, his voice cutting through the night. You jolt. The timbre of his voice makes you shiver, it sends electricity sparking through every nerve in your body.
All you can do is stare at the ghostly man in front of you.
“What do you wish for,” he asks again, this time more gently.
“Anything,” you whisper.
“What do you write about?” You tip your head from the man up to the sky.
“Everything.” Silence falls between the two of you before you take a deep breath, returning your gaze to the man. “How did you know I was making wishes?” A whisper of a grin that disappears as quickly as it came crosses his lips.
“Because I’m making wishes too.” If this was anyone else, you’d make a joke, break the fierce tension that’s fallen in the space between you and the ghost. But you can’t help but feel like he can see right through you, right down to your soul.
Now, it’s your turn to ask, “What do you wish for?”
His eyes trace your face leaving a burning trail in their wake. “Someone.”
You slide off your chair, letting the chill of metal seep through your pajama pants. The ghost stays put.
“Who?” His blue eyes shift to your surroundings, the sky, eventually settling on the moon.
“I’m not sure anymore.” This moment, so full of vulnerability, makes your throat tighten. “I lost him a long time ago, I think. I guess I just thought he’d come back. He always came back.” The ghost in front of you looks more human with every passing second.
His dark hair, clipped close on the sides, is ruffled like he can’t stop running his fingers through it. His shirt is wrinkled and has signs of loose threads at the seams from years of wear and work. His eyes crinkle in the corners, frown lines litter his forehead.
“I hope your wish comes true,” you reply, meaning it. The ghost shakes his head.
“It won’t, but thank you.”
“So why do you keep wishing if you know it won’t come true?”
“Just in case.”
Just in case.
“My wishes never come true,” you confess. “But I can’t stop myself from coming out here anyways, I can’t help but feel the pull.” The ghost nods his understanding.
“Just in case.”
“Just in case.” Your eyes lock with his, and for a moment, you feel the world stop spinning. You feel time freeze. Everything slows, blurs, disappears, until it is just you and him.
“Who are you?” He whispers, brows furrowing.
“I don’t know anymore,” you reply. “Who are you?” You barely even hear the words as they leave your lips.
“I’m trying to remember.”

Boyfriend Jamie in New York
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The summer air was thick and sticky, and if you looked close enough, you could practically see the heat rising from the pavement. James's hand was holding firmly onto his girlfriend's, determined not to lose her amid the bustling streets. They spent the majority of the day wandering in and out of shops. Hours were spent in record stores where they tucked themselves away in listening booths poring over albums and deciding which ones they would be taking home.
The streets of the city bustled with life, a symphony of car horns, chatter and distant music floating out of open windows. Occasionally, they would pause to admire the pretty window displays, sometimes nipping inside to the stores that caught their eye.
As the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over the towering buildings, they found themselves drawn to a small outdoor bar. The air was marginally cooler now and the settled down at a table, the days purchases resting at their feet.
James ordered drinks and pulled one of his newly acquired records from the sleeve, showing it off to his girlfriend. He slipped the lyric booklet out, reading out his favourite lines. His girlfriend laughed, her eyes sparkling with the kind of happiness that comes from simple, shared joys.
For a moment, they sat in comfortable silence, listening to the distant strumming of a buskers guitar and the low hum of singing. They watched the city lights flicker on, one by one and for a moment the relentless pace of New York seemed to slow down.

Dreams.
The light of zaynes life was his dreams.
The sky above him was a hollow grey color. Clouds hung heavy in the atmosphere, begging to release a swell of rain. The wind rippled through the trees, breathing an unsettling chill into the surrounding area. Rubble surrounded him, an old grocery store he had frequently seen while asleep. The remnants of an old and yellowed sale sign lay on the ground at his feet, contrasted with the normally soot blackened and rock strewn ground around it.
He could remember what it looked like, or shouldve looked like.
Bright white lights making it seem like a beacon to late night dwellers. Snacks lining the shelves stacked neatly, chilly beverages with sales displayed on the glass doors covering them. In that place, the only chilly air was when you opened a cooler to pull out a refreshing drink.
Zayne peered behind him, the sound of wanderers wildly roaming the streets was constant. Today was no different, but strangely they were much quieter. As if they were waiting. Saving their breath for a symphony they would sing later.
It had him on edge, a hand resting on the pistol on his hip, an extra cartridge of bullets hidden in one of his coat pockets.
But for now, he had some exploring to do.
Zayne stepped over rubble, flashes of his dream coming to him like some sort of sick deja vu. He held her hand as the two of them walked across a neat concrete path. A beautiful smile beaming up at him. Zayne couldnt hear her voice. Not last night for some reason.
He followed a similar path, his hand itching with how lonely it had felt.
The glass doors had been long shattered, and inside this tiny convenience store no lights illuminated it. The white shelves were tossed and knocked over. Old rotting food made a sickly sweet stench fill the air nearly making Zayne gag. He imagined it smelled far better in his dream. Like lavender cleaning soap and cooking hot dogs on the rollergrill.
He walked to the back. he had taken her to get sweets. Chocolates to be exact. Zayne couldnt figure out if the two were actually dating yet. She was always around that doctor though. Always popping in at his office. Always bringing him sweets.
Zaynes heart skipped over a beat as his fist clenched.
What had he done differently than that man? What had he done to lose her? To have to be the one to…
There was a quiet scuffling inside of the store, the tiny squeak of mice made Zayne jump slightly. A metal can rattled off to the side as the animal pitter pattered away from the tall man.
He had made his way to the exact shelf the two had stood at.
It was toppled over. He let out a disappointed sigh as he stared at the scattered bits of candy, some of it busted open and smeared along the floor. Some of it still intact. She must have really enjoyed this stuff. Her eyes had lit up like fireworks when the doctor had given to her.
He slowly crouched on the ground, a deafening screech made him cringe as he pushed the metal shelving to the side, searching for the specific candy bar.
Zaynes hands grasped the dark foil wrappers, bringing them close to his face to try and makeout the faded words on the packaging, turning them around to check for holes. He had eaten enough expired food since the event to not really care about expiration dates.
Anything to feel close to her.
Finally, to his happiness, he had found it.
A dark chocolate wafer bar with strawberry cream. There was a heart on the package, no wonder she had seemed so excited to have this. It mustve been… romantic.
A pain throbbed in his chest as he looked away for a moment. His eyes slowly closed as he thought back to his memories to her.
Of course it wasnt long before they were ruined. Before he was remember what he had to do to her.
Frost began to spread over the ground as his hands began to shake. The bar inside his hands became hard and icey.
He let out a sharp breath, cursing himself.
Zayne slowly stood up as he made his way out of the store as the walls began to turn frosty.
The doctor never had this type of reaction. The doctor always seemed in control.
If he was to ever get to her, would she even bother to give him a chance?
A dark cloud swam over Zaynes eyes. What he wouldnt give to be that doctor. What he wouldnt give to feel her skin on himself. Not in the dream.
He stopped walking once he passed the bright yellow sign.
Something was off about the atmosphere now.
Instead of the faint cries of wanderers, it was silent.
Dead silent. He would be able to hear a pin drop.
Zaynes hand wrapped tightly around the frozen bar, tucking it into his breast pocket, close to his heart. It was like doing this would keep her with him. Keep her close.
He turned in a full circle, glancing up at the sky above him. There was definitely a wanderer nearby. And a large one if it was silencing the others.
The clouds moved at a faster pace above him. The rain would hit soon, and it would be a torrential downpour.
Time was of the essence then.
Zayne sighed quietly. It wasnt easy to do, but when the wanderer was powerful enough you could feel tension in the air. As if the molecules were excited by its very presents. With her, Zayne wouldnt have to assume which direction it was in. She would help him.
His eyes opened, it was either to the north or south. The feelings were faint, sort of like a tug to the gut. But a guessing game wasnt something he had time for. Usually, if it didnt look as if the sky was about to let loose the wrath of heaven, he would have time to track it, to make a mistake.
Not today. Today he would bring it to him. Getting rained on wasnt awful. But he was quite a long ways away from his safe house. And trudging through the mud and muck would mean he would need to find a way to take a shower. Which was not easy to do now.
Zayne pulled out his gun, looking down and picking up that neon yellow sign from before. The tin was flexible and wobbled slightly. Rust traversed the back of it like moss. He set it against the wall of the store and took a few steps away. In the dead silence anything would be able to hear noise from miles away.
The wind had begun to pick up around him, whipping his hair in all directions. He smoothed it back and calmly trained his gun at the now propped up sign. He emptied one, two, three bullets into it.
The sound of tin shredding and the gunshot rang in his ears unpleasantly. He cringed at the screech it made, and stayed silent. Listening, waiting.
Silence.
Dead silence.
Frustration built in the back of his throat.
Another gunshot rang out as the wind picked up once more. Shrapnel from the sign fell like ruined snowflakes to the concrete. His bullets making a tinkling sound like bells as the cases ejected themselves.
Silence again.
But the tension in the air began to build.
That feeling like static that had built up on a balloon.
The hair on the back of his neck and arms began to stand on end. Zaynes body tensed as he whipped his head in either direction, trying to listen for the heavy footsteps he knew was coming.
But nothing came.
“Come on!” he finally yelled.
He aimed at the sign again, the wanderer was close but it was moving silently. He prayed it wasnt another invisible one. Those were always god awful to try and beat. It exhausted his evol trying to freeze a portion of it to be able to catch a glimpse of where it would run.
He began to squeeze the trigger, ready to fire off another shot.
Zaynes feet left the ground as a massive clap of thunder shook the ground.
He was thrown atleast 10 feet over the concrete, grunting as his arms and hands had gravel and rubble driven into them.
A earth shattering screech came, as the clouds parted above a purple glowing ball soaring down to the earth.
He scrambled across the ground, a string of curses leaving him as Zayne threw himself out of the way of the impact site. The creature landed on the ground, the air around him becoming excited. On his back, he caught a glimpse of it for a moment, large bat like wings with rips and shreds through them spread wide. Dark purple scales covered what looked like a mutilated bears body, its snout elongated and filled with jutting sharp teeth. Claws and spines covered its arms and legs, some with blood and with flesh still clinging to them.
It was triple the size of Zayne. With a bright purple protocore throbbing in the middle of its chest.
Eyes like amethyst focused on the man in front of it, and a screech like a knife dragging on glass left its mouth.
Zayne scrambled to the side as it began to charge him, but his movements were slow, as if he was moving through molasses. The very air itself seemed to still wherever it was.
Frost coated the ground around zayne as he dragged his hands over ground, the monster landed on the icy patch, its claws giving it a little more traction as it slid across, away from him. As it got farther away, Zayne was able to move quicker. He scrambled to his feet, trying to create distance between him and the beast.
He nearly tripped over his feet from the odd change in speed as he backed away, his gun raised as he unloaded a few bullets in its direction.
The beast spun around to him, lunging forward.
His bullets froze in mid air, or rather, began moving at a snails pace as they shot forward.
Zayne looked in horror, beginning to back up as the monster staggered towards him. Its hulking frame was barely supported by its mutated body parts, making it move slower than he would expect. Another awful screech came out, and a glow began to form at its mouth.
Zayne lunged out of the way as a beam of bright purple energy came shooting towards him. Trails of ice shot up from the ground, creating a wall of spikes around the beast.
He continued to try and make distance, looking around the environment, this may be a fight he loses. The only chance he had was to force the beast to impale itself on something. His bullets would be useless against it.
Wherever the beam landed objects were sucked towards it, not being destroyed, but more of disappearing into the ball of black energy that formed by the ground.
He looked back at the beast, which was charging up again.
Zayne stomped on the ground, ice shooting forward and curving around the beast, it wouldnt do much but buy him time, obstructing him from view.
He had to retreat.
Frost climbed its way up his one of his hands and shoulders, the pain burning into him and making him gasp, it wasnt the first time and it wouldnt be the last.
He made a wide curve around the beast, stumbling slightly from the ice that was now creeping over his leg, making him move sluggishly.
Zayne glanced back, just to see the beast launching itself into the air. Futily, he pointed his gun up at it, firing the rest of his bullets towards it. Some of them wildly missing, others stopping completely just inches from its protocore. Now that it was up in the air he could feel pressure from above him, trying to stop his movements.
He lowered himself, trying to reduce the effect of the evol as he raced to get into cover.
Another clap of thunder sounded, as rain began to pour from the sky, the droplets halting within ten feet of the beast. It was helpful to know exactly how wide of an aura this beast had around it, but still it didnt help.
The rain froze and tinkled to the ground when it came closer to Zayne, and an idea formed in his mind.
He stopped retreating, aiming a hand up at the beast. He didnt need to hit it, just get his evol close enough to freeze the rain around it.
A flurry of ice formed in his palm and blasted outwards, he grunted as frost and ice crawled faster along his legs and hands. The flurry he sent raced to the beast, freezing droplets around it turning them into thin spikes of ice. A smile formed on his face. If the beast dropped down again it would send those spikes right into itself. They would be like little shards of glass. Not effective, but they would hurt like hell. Dpending on how much damage the wanderer received to its protocore, it should cause power fluctuations.
His one hand was joined by his other as he stumbled backwards, another blast of freezing ice shot out towards it, he aimed right under it, trying to ensure any form of landing would cause it to impale itself.
The beast screeched at him. Preparing another beam not far away. Zayne dove for cover as it less loose, sweeping the ground a few feet in front of him. He felt the pull of whatever energy mass it created for itself; it wasnt strong, but it made it even harder to move, sliding him slowly towards it.
As if exhausted, the beasts wings made a half flap, before it began to fall out of the air.
Another boom of thunder shook the ground under Zayne, he was scrambling to bring himself out of the gravity of the energy ball, only knowing his little plan had worked when he heard an awful pained screeching from the beast in front of him.
The ground shook again as it landed, half of its body landing on the old ice wall he had created before, the spikes shoving themselves deep into its belly, the other frozen drops of rain suddenly began to race down onto it, dropping down and impaling themselves into its hide.
Thick, oily purple blood leaked from its wounds as it howled in pain. One particularly large spike had landed on the side of its protocore, tearing the tender skin surrounding it, letting a torrent of blood slosh to the ground around it. The aura around it was still flickering and fluctuating, droplets of rain splashed and froze around it now.
Zayne lifted his pistol and fired off a few rounds, the bullets stuttering and flying forward as if never being frozen. He put down the gun and sent another blast of ice into the air above it, fat droplets of rain turning into thicker peices of spiky ice.
The creature struggled and gnashed its pointed teeth as more ice began to impale itself at different intervals into it, the more landed inside of it, the more the field around it began to fluctuate and allow more openings for attacks.
Zayne staggered further away from it. His legs now stiff and covered in frost. He sucked in a pained breath as he stopped trying to kill the beast. The pair writhed on the ground together, Zayne trying to calm his nearly out of control evol, and the beast trying to unimpale itself from those thick ice spikes.
Rain turned to ice around him, shattering as it landed on the ground, pricking his numbed limbs painfully.
“Im sorry… but you-you cant live.” Zayne muttered to the beast.
He dragged himself up to his knees, this wasnt his worst fight by far, but it would be in his top three, and definitely reminded him why he needed to bring protofield dampeners with him no matter the monster he would eventually hunt. This could all be solved easily with one. But he was stupid enough to forget it.
He held onto the wrist of his nearly stiff and frozen arm, letting out a cry of pain as he forced the limb to point towards the beast. It was because of her that he had this much resolve. Watching her pass, from his own hands, created a deep hatred for wanderers. For anything that reminded him of the event that had turned his life upside down.
Zayne could see her face, filled with pain and eyes full of tears as she had begun to turn into a wanderer. He remembered her words. Her voice echoed in his head as she had slowly turned. Those last words had never left him. And every time he heard a wanderer, or saw one, he thought of her. Thought of the fact that, if that event had never happened, if these things had never come to earth he would never have had to do this. It filled his heart with a sickening rage.
He sneered at the beast.
“You, your a blight on this world.” he said.
A glow began to form in the beasts mouth once more, pointed directly at him.
Zayne let out a cruel harsh laugh, frost gathering around his arm, whoever could charge faster would win this battle. A battle against time.
He shut his eyes, thinking back to his dreams. The picture of her face floated over his eyelids. Her beautiful smile, plushies held in her hands, a bit of chocolate smeared on her cheek after messily eating a dessert.
What he wouldnt give to see her. What he wouldnt give to be near her. What he wouldnt give to hold her tightly. Given the chance, he would never let her go. He would never let her leave his sight.
Power shot out of his hands, this blast stronger than the others, as if the very thought of her strengthened him.
The beast screeched, half of the spikes reached it, but it was only half the spikes that Zayne needed in order to peirce its protocore.
The wanderer writhed and shreaked and bled. Dark purple fluid pouring from its chest, splashing and flooding the concrete around it. The protocore in its chest began to glow brightly as it was cracked open, purple light illuminating the rain soaked ground around them.
Zayne fell forward, screaming in pain as his limbs began to contract and freeze. Tears sprung into his eyes as the man writhed on the ground in front of the beast. It wasnt long before his own screams of pain were joined with the beast in front of him as it slowly bled.
However, unlike the usual wanderer, the beast did not slowly fade out and leave its protocore. Instead, it only began to glow bright and brighter, until bright lilac was all that illuminated Zaynes vision.
He panted and attempted to stand, but it was impossible. He was stuck in place.
Would it explode? It wasnt often that a protocore would continue to build power after it was cracked. Zayne hadnt even thought about this little fact, or that he was merely a few feet in front of it now.
He shut his eyes as the light began to glow brighter, an odd tug at his limbs, and heat building around the monster let him know that this was definitely the end.
If that was so, he would die thinking about something he loved.
Her smile, her cheery face, took over his eyelids.
“Dr. zayne, dont you think you should calm down on eating so many sweets?” She teased.
“Mmmm, as a doctor myself, i know that it is not a pressing matter.” he responded.
She shook her head, leaning forwards and touching his jaw. The way her hands cupped his cheeks made Zayne burn with jealousy. It should be him. It wouldve been him.
The lilac glow brought him even closer, and heat wrapped around his body, suffocating him. He choked on the impossibly warm air, just barely able to bring up the image of her face as he choked out a few more words.
“I love you… i love you my darling girl… let him care for you as much as i do…”
And the world went dark around him.
if youve made it this far i just wan tto say THANK YOU!!! this is my

Sword gays showdown, round 3 of bracket one
Propaganda:
For Alucard:
He has a sword that he can command to fly around. He's bisexual. He's depressed. He's both the direct opposite of his father and too much like him. He's part of the most disastrous polycule to ever exist. He's a jerk. I love him, he's very important to me.
Symphony of the Night has too much of a cultural impact to not have him be included here. He’s an aroace icon with a huge sword collection (he’s bisexual in the animated series). He has a flying sword familiar and a sword he can hold in his hands. Loves taking naps.
For Zoro:
Literally training to be the greatest swordsman in the world. Has a special three swords technique (one blade in each hand plus one with the handle held in his teeth). I haven't read the manga or watched the anime but the live action adaptation gives me extremely gay vibes and based on the fandom things I've seen I'm not the only one
bro uses three swords. has one in his mouth. dont ask how the HELL he manages that. one day he will be the worlds greatest swordsman....after he beats the current greatest for both the titles of greatest swordsman and fruitiest swordsman. he's dramatic as FUUUCK like bro what the hell. has homoerotic fights with the local twink like everyday. directionally challenged, can and will get lost in a paper bag, doesnt know left from right...he probably cant read, too. hes too silly ngl
First of all, im in like episode 250 and so far he hasnt been shown attracted to any woman at all during the whole show so far, not even when one changed clothes in the same room as him and this is anime so you know there were other characters with bloody noses and shit. With that out of the way he wields three swords at once [two in his hands, one is his goddamn mouth dude. Its cool af trust me.] When he was little he made a promise to his best friend that he'd be the best swordsman in the world. Later she died in a tragic accident and left her sword which he still uses today. He also carries a cursed sword but he overpowers the curse with a combination of skill and sheer luck. He got stuck in a chimney. While his crewmates sail their ship he takes naps. He learned how to cut through metal by fighting a guy who could turn his body into metal blades. That's metal. He refuses to fight this liberal marine officer because she looks like his childhood best friend and its just understandably really awkward for him. He's autistic. He's a he/him bisexual lesbian. He's a gay man. He's ace/aro. He's whatever you want him to be babey!!
he has 3 swords, wields one in his mouth sometimes, his dream is to be the greatest swordsman in the world
three swords and big aroace-spec gay vibes
He not only has a sword he has *three* swords. He's absolutely gay there's no way to see this man as straight. Also one time he licked his sword for no reason and that was really funny to me so I had to mention it
Look, this man thinks about three things: Swords, His Captain, and Booze. He’s on a quest to be the worlds greatest swordsman. The Live action has a scene where he declares his undying, unwavering loyalty to his captain WHILE reaffirming his promise to be the worlds greatest swordsman. At this point His dream and his Captain are so intertwined it’s crazy. Man is so sword-y he’s got three of them. When one of his swords broke he carried its empty scabbard until he was able to give it a SWORD FUNERAL. He hears a sword is cursed and takes that as a challenge. He will literally tell his swords off for “bad behavior” when they “act up” due to being straight up cursed. He tests one by throwing it in the air and sticking his arm out to see if it is so blood thirsty and ill tempered that it will cut him. Even though he’s literally the first mate if you ask him what his role is he’s going to answer Swordsman.
He's dedicated his life to two things: becoming the greatest swordsman in the world and his captain, Luffy.
He mastered the three sword style. Its his style. It would've been more swords but he could only fit one sword in each hand and one in his mouth. He wants to be the world's greatest swordsman, a deal he made with his childhood best frenemy (before she died falling down the stairs). He thought he was All That at the start and was almost completely decimated by the actual Worlds Greatest Swordsman. Now, after two years forced training with that guy, he's probably in the top tier no-doubt, and honestly could already be the best but we just don't know for sure yet. Also, did I mention: he's got the whole demon/devil imagery going on at times. And he has absolutely no sense of direction! plus is a total softie when it comes to Chopper and all the children who somehow gravitate towards him. And he loves naps!
One of the guy's main goals in life is to be the best sword fighter and he fights with three swords which I think is telling enough of his skill.

[1.2k wc]
Tumblr media
If it wasn’t the heat driving you mad, maybe it was the animals that had grown ten times in size due to the effects of the century fruit.
You had already shed your outer coat, the scrunched fabric just barely showing the Doflamingo's jolly roger.
The sun was just starting its descent from its palace in the heavens, casting orange hues over the viridian scape.
Of all the places it could have appeared, it just had to be a jungle island, teeming with bloodthirsty creatures and hostility.
You annoyingly cut your way through another enlarged python, the halves tearing apart before you, poison hit the ground with a light hiss.
There never seemed to be an end to the slaughter, and you were certain this was the worst way to go about it.
Taking a deep breath, you willed your heartbeat to slow, fluttering your eyelids shut.
The sounds of the jungle dulled in the back, as you extended your perceptual reach.
You could sense a pinpoint of energy just beyond you, something spherical that swirled with a symphony of cords.
It had to be what you were searching for.
You pushed past the fallen serpent, towards the lulling.
A few minutes later, you could feel the air practically electric, humming with the sensation of this century fruit.
It dangled preciously in a tree before you, unassuming and plain.
There was the item to your family’s success. Beyond that, it would be paramount to your success, your achievement.
Securing the century fruit meant cementing your position within the family. With this accomplishment, nobody would ever be able to say anything about you.
You reached for the fruit and--
A crackle of vivacity sang through the air, you whipped your head back to the direction it came from.
There was a subtle shift in the air, the faintest echo of a footstep, and a presence that made your stomach churn.
There was no doubt about it, there was someone else on this island.
You took another step towards the dangled fruit, the leaves quietly shifting underneath.
The spark in the air shifted into curiosity, reaching out to you. The ethereal current of haki rumbled over you.
Whoever it was on the island, whoever you hoped it wasn't, had sensed you.
Your fingers reached for the cooler touch of your sword.
The jungle was once again quiet, as if hushed in reverence.
The brush gently parted its way to reveal a figure bathed in the soft glow of the amber sunlight.
You saw his slender, tattooed fingers first, wrapped tightly around a long black sword.
He moved with palpable confidence, his dark shirt fluttering slightly in the breeze that hit like a held breath.
Trafalgar Law, the Surgeon of Death, scanned his surroundings carefully, a testament to his acute perception.
Strands of black hair fell across his face, partially veiling the contemplative expression that played on his features.
Finally, you caught his golden eyes as they moved from the ground to sweeping over you, almost luminescent as they caught the setting sun within them.
A breath caught in your throat.
His mouth fell slightly open in surprise. Law thought he recognized the faint haki surrounding nature the moment he pushed into the darker jungle.
It was a thought he had abandoned without much thought-- he had buried you deep in his memories with fervor and guilt, one peek could unravel him whole.
His eyes focused, drinking in the sight as if it was his first time, narrowing at the Doflamingo-looking transponder snail strapped to you.
"You want to take the century fruit back to Joker," he started, "is that right?"
You didn't move, your fingers still resting on the scabbard of your sword.
"Not going to happen." He frowned.
"Back off, Law, you don't know what this fruit means for my family," you shot back.
He furrowed his brow in response. Just like he had expected, the family had a death grip on your shoulder, he could almost sense the smiling Doflamingo.
You drew your sword, stretching out your free hand towards him.
The latent energy in the air pricked up, attending to your will. Small smokes of steam reflected smaller rainbows through the slicing sunlight, and it rushed at Law.
"Room," Law produced an unfamiliar blue sphere as his fingers spun in the air. He sliced at the steam with no avail.
How could he slice air?
He stumbled back as he felt a striking in his eyes. His vision clouded, the Surgeon of Death teleported away.
Law stumbled a few feet back, palming his eyes. As his vision slowly grew clearer, he was met with a strange sight.
Instead of on the island, he was back in dreaded Dressrosa palace. He grabbed at a table to steady himself, finding that his fingers would pass right through.
Right. That made him feel a little better.
He ran down the corridor until he reached a room. Passing through the doors, he almost choked at the sight before him, unready and uneasy.
The air suddenly seemed to thicken with a weight only he could feel.
His eyes focused.
Two little children, huddled in the corner of the dark room, whispering amongst themselves.
It was you, looking exactly like he had left you all those years ago. And...himself, comforting your sobbing figure.
The sight of you on the floor, those days of vulnerable innocence, and the remnants of childhood unlocked a cascade of emotions that had been carefully tucked away by Law.
Like a Pandora's Box, he could hardly control the parts of him that demanded acknowledgement and healing.
Law took a small step closer, full panic.
"I wanna go with you," you wailed. "Doffy is scary and I wanna leave with you and Cora," your words were barely understandable through the thick, rolling tears.
Law's breath hitched and he drew a hand through his hair, anxiously.
He could only watch as his young self awkwardly fumbled with the small mess before him. He could hardly believe it.
The scene at which he promised to return for you gnawed at him inside, turning his stomach into tatters. His heart jumped into his throat.
"That's enough."
A sharp voice rang against the dampened sounds in the room, and all faded away gently. The muted scene bled away and slowly turned into hues of orange and green.
The lushness of the jungle reminded Law where he truly was.
You bit your lip fiercely, the century fruit growing warm in your hands as you watched Law recognize his surroundings.
Law's breathing leveled out, and he took a step towards you. "I'm sorry I didn't come back for you."
Confusion flit across your expression, one that Law did not miss. "What are you talking about?" You asked, incredulously.
It didn't matter what this psycho was rambling about. You pulled out your transponder snail.
"Doffy?"
A quick reply came. His voice curled in sweetness as he said your name back.
"I'm done! Come pick me up." You lifted an eyebrow at the Law still struggling to understand, lost in the mire of his own feelings and reality.
"Vergo is closest to you, I'll let him know."
The snail hung up with a quick clack.
You smiled sweetly down at Law Trafalgar, "it'll be nice to have a gift to bring Doffy!"
Your excitedness was spilling over the edge. You could hardly contain yourself.
"Room."
Not so fast, you grabbed onto his arm before he could slip away. At the last second, his gaze met yours, and he smiled a little.
His other hand latched onto your arm, digging slightly into your skin. "Guess we'll both go, then."
Jerking back your body, your hand flew to your sword.
The lull of jungle faded into a low hum, dirt into wood, and the setting sunset into bright overhead lights.
"Captain!!"
Before you could strike, your whole body felt heavier, and you staggered to your knees.
A pair of gray handcuffs snapped around your wrists as you held yourself up with your arms, leaning over the floor, feeling sick.
You heard Law take a fast impact, and falling to the ground beneath you.
"Bepo stop, do you want to crush him?" An exasperated voice followed.
"Huh? Who's this?"
You couldn't bring your eyes off the floor. Overconfident with your own devil fruit powers, you had neglected considering Law's.
The century fruit's heat reminded you of its presence. At last resort, at least you could eat it, to save it from Law's hands.

TickleTober Day 22 - Ticklish Kiss
I really wanted to do something for these two, they’re so wholesome and cute together! (>w<) I had something planned for them at the beginning of the month-ish, just never got around to writing it. I love writing for this fandom, the spiderkids make my brain happy. I hope everyone has had a great month, and that you Enjoy!
Lee: Pavitr
Ler: Gayatri
Summary: Pavitr was waiting for his girlfriend on the rooftop. It was a chillier day than normal in Mumbai, and Pavitr could do with some warming up. Gayatri helped out, but her warming affections have a tickly twist.
Warnings: none! This is a tickle fic, so if you don’t like that, scroll away!!
Tumblr media
The cool wind blew through Pavitr’s hair, sending goosebumps running down his neck and arms. It was 68 degrees outside, sure, but the temperature typically didn’t drop below 80. He wasn’t cold, but the young hero wished he had a jacket to go over his suit. The barefoot design was definitely coming back to haunt him…
A squeaking door interrupted his thoughts, his girlfriend joining him on the rooftop. Gayatri was beautiful as ever, wearing a thicker flannel jacket, dark top, purple jeans and a beanie. It took all the chilly teen had to not stare. He tried to sound smooth in his greeting, but his teeth chattered as he spoke. “H-hey girl. You l-look lovely.”
She laughed, the sound a wonderful symphony to Pav’s ears. He loved her smile, her laugh, her lips, her hair, her- “Pav, घाम, you’re staring.” She had to tease him, it was required of her as his girlfriend. She did, however, notice the shake of his voice. “Are you alright?”
A red hue lit up on his masked cheeks as she caught him. She was just so amazing; how could he not stare? “Sorry. And yes, I’m fine. Just…wishing the suit was a bit thicker.”
Gayatri couldn’t help but roll her eyes at his cute predicament. She loved his intricate suit, even though it wasn’t the most practical. There was no way she was giving up her warm flannel, but she had another way to help. “It’s okay, I was teasing. Want me to warm you up?”
He nodded rapidly, knowing what she meant. “Yes please!” He had just breaked from patrol, and being suited up, the rooftops were really the only places they could hang out without getting caught. It was chilly, but it worked.
Okay, that was cute. Honestly, everything he did was cute. Gayatri moved to the edge of the rooftop, sitting right beside him. She pulled off his mask, watching the small hairs on his neck prickle in the cool air. Adorable. She pressed a few gentle kisses to his neck, her heart melting as he squeaked.
He bit his lip, trying to sit still and enjoy the kisses. He did scoot farther away from the edge of the roof, not wanting his girl to potentially fall. He would obviously catch her before anything happened, but why tempt fate? Her tickly lips made it awfully hard not to squirm, though…
“G-Gaya!” He didn’t protest, didn’t tell her to stop; just whined. She found that to be tooth-rottingly sweet. “What? I am just trying to warm my wonderful partner up.” The blush on his cheeks only deepened; she knew exactly what she was doing. She also knew how much he liked it.
Pushing her luck, she moved the kisses under his chin, trailing them back down to his neck. Pav squealed, his hands flying up to do something. He really didn’t want to push her away, though… The boy opted for grabbing her shoulders, drumming his feet on the ledge beneath him. Bright, bubbly giggles spilled from his lips, adding some warmth to the cooler fall air. “Gahayatrihihi! Nohot fahahair!”
Could the guy get any more adorable? She thought it so often, but it was true; Pavitr was the sweetest, cutest, most lovable person Gayatri had ever met. And his laughter? Freaking gorgeous. They were the same, in that way; they loved to see and hear each other be happy. Only Gayatri was a bit better at getting what she wanted. Wiggling fingers joined the kisses, gently scribbling at the base of his ribs.
Now that was just mean. He flopped around, trying his best not to push her. Pav wrapped his arms around his torso, scrunching up his shoulders as he tried to block out the tickles. The childish giggles turned to happy, bright laughter as he wiggled around. “Cohohome ohon! खिलना!”
“What? You have yet to stop me, Pavi. I think you might be enjoying yourself~” He whined through his laughter, grabbing onto her wrists. The young hero didn’t shove her hands away; he just refused to admit that she was right. As much as he hated to think it, she was helping. The heat from his blush and laughter had warmed him up, blocking out the slight chill.
His restraint died when he felt her hands travel to his stomach, her nails on his belly button. Pav squealed much louder than before, his laugh skyrocketing up several octaves. “GAHAYATRIHIHI! NOHOT THE TUHUMY!”
Gayatri laughed with him, finding the boisterous sound rather infectious. “But your tummy is my favorite! How can you ask me to move, घाम? So mean.”
He practically squawked, the indignant sound sending his girlfriend into a giggle fit. “Y-YOUHUHU AHARE THE OHONE BEHEHEING MEHEHEAN!”
“Is it really mean if you enjoy it?” Her tone was as teasing as it was affectionate. Gayatri had long since discovered that Pav enjoyed that certain brand of affection. She had no problems with it; it was cute, if anything. The girl was more than happy to indulge him, and she had to admit, it was fun to see his reactions.
It was about time to stop at that point; his cheeks were burning, and he had to go back on patrols when they were done. Still, it just didn’t feel right to end their meet-up without a big finish. Taking a deep breath, she leaned in, blowing a raspberry on the exposed skin of his neck.
When I say he squealed, I mean that every street dog in a fifty-mile radius covered their ears. His neck wasn’t his worst spot, but combined with the belly tickles and general flustering atmosphere, it might as well have been. “NAHAHAHAHO! GAYATRIHIHI, PLEHEHASE! EHENOHOUGH!”
She stopped immediately, pulling him close and peppering his cheeks with little kisses. He giggled softly, still recovering as ghost tickles buzzed along his stomach and neck. Pav couldn't help but melt into the touch, practically going limp on her as he tried to catch his breath. It was, again, adorable.
“You really can’t get any cuter, can you?” Gayatri chuckled, running a hand through his hair. The spider boy loved it when she did that. “Y-youhu’re ehevil…"
"It warmed you up, did it not?" He groaned, but didn't deny it. She was right; he was definitely worth warm, though that could be attributed to the blush on his face or fuzzy feeling in his chest. Either way, it worked.
Suddenly, Pavitr felt his spider sense go off. From a few hundred yards away, a loud crash sounded, followed by sirens and screaming. He collected himself almost immediately, adrenaline and concern replacing the giddy buzz. Another villain to deal with.
"लानत… Gayatri, I'm sorry-" Before he could guilt himself, the other teen cut him off with a kiss. Pav's eyes widened before he kissed her back, savoring the quick yet loving moment. "Go. Those people need your help. Meet you at your Maya Aunty's?"
What did he ever do to deserve a girl like her? The understanding was instant, and she never took it personally. "Absolutely. Be back in a moment, जानू."
With that, he pulled his mask back on, giving her one last hug before leaping off the building. Gayatri watched as he slid off his bangles, flipping around as he raced to the scene.
She loved him so much, but she knew that he needed to do it. If he didn't, who would? When he returned that evening, she would be waiting for him, a cup of chai and a loving pair of arms at the ready. Maybe another ticklish kiss or two as well…
