Lyrics:
it's not your situation
I just need contemplation over you (over you)
I'm not so systematic
It's just that I'm an addict for your love (oh)
I'm not the only one that holds you (hmm)
I never ever should have told you
You're my only girl (never should have told you)
I'm not the only one that holds you (no, no)
I never ever should have told you
You're my only world (hmm)
Just think how long I've known you
It's wrong for me to own you, lock and key (lock and key)
It's really not confusing
I'm just a young illusion, can't you see (oh yeah)
I'm not the only one that holds you, no, no
I never ever should have told you
You're my only girl (never should have told me)
I'm not the only one that holds you (yeah)
I never ever should have told you
You're my only world
No, no, no
Georgy Porgy, pudding pie (oh yeah)
Kissed the girls and made them cry (kissed the girl)
Georgy Porgy, pudding pie
Kissed the girls and made them cry (I made them cry, girl)
Georgy Porgy, pudding pie (yeah, yeah)
Kissed the girls and made them cry (kissed the girl)
Georgy Porgy, pudding pie
Kissed the girls, yeah
Oh-oh-oh
Ooh, kissed the girls (hmm)
Lalalalalala
Oh, oh, oh
Ooh
It's not your situation
I just need contemplation over you (over you)
Yes, I do, yeah
I'm not so systematic
It's just that I'm an addict for your love (oh)
Baby
I'm not the only one that holds you, no
I never ever should have told you
You're my only girl (I never should have told you)
I'm not the only one that holds you
I never ever should have told you
You're my only world
(Never, never, never)
Georgy Porgy, pudding pie
Kissed the girls and made them cry
Georgy Porgy, pudding pie
Kissed the girls and made them cry
Georgy Porgy, pudding pie
Kissed the girls and made them cry
Georgy Porgy, pudding pie
Kissed the girls
Why you wanna make them cry
Oh, make them cry, no, oh
Oh, why? Why?
Kissed the girls
Why you wanna
Songwriter: David Paich
Georgy Porgy, pudding pie
Kissed the girls and made them cry (make them cry)
Georgy Porgy, pudding pie (yeah)
Kissed the girls and made them cry

Georgy Porgy, pudding pie
Kissed the girls, yeah
Yeah, ooh

Get Ready To Hit The Dancefloor With Wilza's - WHat You See Wilza’s newest single “What You See” is not your typical remix – or simply put, it’s a spunky New Jack Swing song brought back to life and remixed in the Tech House style. Released under his newly-formed label, SwingBeat Records, it is the first release under Wilza’s Jack House moniker, billed as a project focused on recreating the vibe of late 80s / early 90s music. Wilza, the DJ, has had more than twenty years behind the turntables and feels comfortable when mixing the genres. His versatility of House to being able to do R&B, Afrobeats among others has solidified his nature as a resident DJ in London especially with his 15 years stint at Market Place London. Now, Wilza is applying that diverse background to his production work, and as “What You See” proves, he’s remarkably talented. Wilza ‘s cover maintains the catchy melody and braggadocio of the original song but overlays it with authentic house beats and synths typical for modern electronic music. The end product is musical creation that is instantly catchy and with elements of both a times-less time and a time that is current. It can truly be said that the production is outstanding from beginning to end and is most definitely impressive. Wilza has great groove in his bass lines, tight drums and nice horns sections and all these make one dance. The underlying synths and the colourful rhythmic and harmonic figures enrich the texture, whereas the vocals overlay it; the appeal to tradition is evident, but the modern appropriation is palpable as well. The one thing that is quite remarkable in “What You See” is that it is so full of vitality. It has steady beats, raw sounding layered synths, and a funky bass line to ground the entire composition. It is a song that can make one dance or at least move along to the beat when it plays, regardless of the place one is. Lyrics:
She says, it's not you, it's me
I need a little time, a little space
A place to find myself again, you know?
Oh yeah, I know a goodbye when I hear it
She smiles
But her heart's already out there
Walking down the street
She says
I don't want nobody else, I love you
She's lying
There won't be somebody else, and that's true
She's lying
Say you'll always be my friend, sweet darling
Why does she pretend?
Ain't no doubt, it's plain to see
A woman like you is no good for me
Your heart beatin' at another door
I'm a darn fool for to ask for more (ask for more, ask for more)
She says
It's like in the song, remember?
If you love somebody, set them free
Well, that's how it is for me
But you know I'll always come back
And then she kisses me
And somewhere I hear a door slam
So I say fine
And just hope that I'm a better liar than she is
She says
I don't want nobody else, I love you
She's lying
There won't be somebody else, and that's true
She's lying
Say you'll always be my friend, sweet darling
Why does she pretend?
Ain't no doubt, it's plain to see
A woman like you is no good for me
Your heart beatin' at another door
I'm a darn fool for to ask for more (ask for more, ask for more)
Ain't no doubt, it's plain to see
A woman like you is no good for me
Your heart beatin' at another door
I'm a darn fool for to ask for more (that's what I am)
I don't want nobody else, I love you
She's lying
There won't be somebody else, and that's true
She's lying
Say you'll always be my friend, sweet darling
Why does she pretend?
Ain't no doubt, it's plain to see (I'm a fool)
A woman like you is no good for me (no matter how I try)
Your heart beatin' at another door (beatin' and beatin' and beatin' and beatin')
I'm a darn fool for to ask for more (that's what I am)
Ain't no doubt, it's plain to see (fool that I am)
A woman like you is no good for me
Your heart beatin' at another door
I'm a darn fool for to ask for more (I still love you)
Songwriter:
Ain't no doubt, it's plain to see
A woman like you is no good for me
Your heart beatin' at another door
I'm a darn fool for to ask for more (when you said goodbye)

SongFacts:
"Ain't No Doubt" is a song by English actor and singer-songwriter Jimmy Nail, released on 29 June 1992 as the first single from his second album, 'Growing Up in Public' (1992). Composed by Nail with Guy Pratt, Danny Schogger, and Charlie Dore, the song features additional vocals from Sylvia Mason-James. Six years after his debut album, Nail revived his singing career during the success of his television drama series 'Spender'. The single reached number one in both Ireland and the UK.
Bassist and co-writer Guy Pratt stated that the song was conceived during a writing session between him, Jimmy Nail and Danny Schogger. He said that the song was based around the bassline, which he wrote to copy the military cadences he had recently seen in the film Full Metal Jacket.
"Ain't No Doubt" is Nail's most successful hit worldwide, peaking at number one in Ireland and the United Kingdom, as well as reaching the top 10 in Australia (5), Belgium (5), Denmark (10), the Netherlands (9), New Zealand (4), and Sweden (3). On the Eurochart Hot 100, it peaked at number eight in August 1992, as well as topping the European Adult Contemporary Radio Chart. The song became Nail's only hit in North America,[3][4] reaching number 58 on the RPM Top Singles chart in Canada.

as we all know kpop is often used as an umbrella term for korean music. there’s actually a lot of sub-genres that fall under it & mix on the same album ! kpop also likes to fuse genres so a lot of what you hear are actually fusions of different elements on this list. I’m gonna make a separate post for concepts in the future, but for now we’re just going to focus on sound. this is in no way a comprehensive list and it may be incorrect in some places, please feel free to do your own research.
while retro is a “concept” of sorts, a lot of genres fall under this so I decided to group them together. these are the sounds you’ll mostly see if someone wanted to go back in time for a comeback to two. not everything here is strictly “retro” or “old fashioned”, but they came from the 20th century.
HIP HOP - popular in the 90′s. daydream (jhope), uh-oh ((g)i-dle), & and july (heize ft. dean).
SWINGBEAT - popular in the 80′s. lady (exid), paradise (s.e.s), wow (btob), & call me baby (exo).
DISCO/FUNK - popular in the 70′s. dynamite (vixx), lucky one (exo), 1,2,3 (b.i.g), & ah-ah (teen top)
SYNTHPOP - popular in the 70′s-80′s. la di da (everglow), siren (sunmi), oh! my mistake (april), platonic love (snuper), everyday i love you (vivi), i feel you (wonder girls), & sea of moonlight (iu, fiestar).
CITY POP - popular in japan in the 80′s. lady (yubin), cherries jubilees (yukika), love game (iris), & where are you (clc).
DEEP HOUSE - has been popular since the 80′s. free somebody (luna), view (shinee), 4 walls (f(x)), & secret (yuri, seohyun).
R&B - first popular in the 50′s-70′s. automatic (red velvet), sweet crazy love (loona odd eye circle), galaxy (ladies code), thinkin bout you (katie), & mmmh (kai).
JAZZ - first popular in the 20′s. be natural (red velvet), piano man (mamamoo), & bad girl (ladies code).
SWING - popular in the 30′s-40′s. is who (minseo), woowa (dia), & I’m so hot (momoland).
TROT - popular in korea in the 50′s. love tonight (hong jinyoung), the calculator of love (jung haejin), & oppanyong (jina-u).
electronic dance music (edm) is percussive electronic music that you’ll normally hear in a club should you ever go to one. edm has a lot of different forms, some we have already mentioned above ! they will be reposted, but I’ll definitely find more examples.
FUTURE BASS - always find you (yuri), singing in the rain (jinsoul), don’t leave me (bts), like this (pentagon), thanks (seventeen), & voices (stray kids).
DEEP HOUSE - puzzle moon (gwsn), and there was no one left (dreamcatcher), deja vu (nu’est w), heat (loona), & playing with fire (blackpink).
TROPICAL HOUSE - really really (winner), violeta (iz*one), our summer (txt), why (taeyeon), wag-zak (lovelyz), switch (nct 127), & hola hola (kard).
MOOMBAHTON - bomb bomb (kard), follow (monsta x), rumor (produce 48), & blood sweat & tears (bts).
TRAP - say my name (ateez), cherry (itzy), me (clc), savage (a.c.e), kill this love (blackpink), dumb litty (kard), bon bon chocolat (everglow), & double knot (stray kids).
PSYTRANCE - silent night (dreamcatcher) & side effects (stray kids).
BIG ROOM - sugar free (t-ara) & adios (everglow)
BOUNCE - bboom bboom (momoland), baam (momoland), wifi (saturday), & number nine (t-ara)
the reason I have noise music as its own category is because all edm is noise music, but not all noise music is edm. there will be overlap, but I’ll try to find more examples. there may only be one or two for this section though.
BASS HOUSE (future house x dubstep) - so what (loona), oopsie my bad (nature), & break all the rules (cravity)
DUBSTEP (brostep x glitch hop) - monster (rv - irene & seulgi), hero (monsta x), & come back home (oneus)
MELODIC DUBSTEP (drumstep x dnb) - hellevator (stray kids)
DRUM N BASS (liquid dnb x drumstep) - intro (dreamcatcher), 0325 (stray kids), & good lil boy (ateez)
TRAP (bass house x hard trap) - how you like that (blackpink)
TRAP (pots n pans) - to the beat (ateez)
TRAP (electro) - numb (cix)
JUNGLE (moombahton x jungle terror) - bomb (alexa) & dessert (hyo)
FUTURE HOUSE (electro bounce x deep house) - bouncy (rocket punch) & it’z summer (itzy)
ELECTRO (chiptune x hip hop) - punch (nct 127)
ELECTRO (electro bounce) - miroh (stray kids)
ELECTRO (trap) - dun dun (everglow)
GLITCH HOP (electro x dubstep) - alligator (monsta x)
COMPLEXTRO (dubstep x glitch hop) - everybody (shinee)
HARDSTYLE (jumpstyle x industrial) - callin (a.c.e)
#resources : music#music : genres#i tried to do as much as i could think of but !!!!#it ended up being harder than i originally thought#if y'all have any songs/genres you want me to talk abt let me know & I will definitely make a post for it

Good morning! I hope you slept well and feel rested? Welcome to the working week! Currently sitting at my desk, in my study, attired only in my blue towelling robe, enjoying my first cuppa of the day. Teaching from 10.00- 4.45 today.
Fear not, absolutely no mention of ejaculation today (apart from that one); I know it’s far too early in the day to be talking about bodily fluids. Unluckily for you, I have reached that ‘old lady no filter’ stage in my life so, if I think it, I’m gonna say it! My mum shocked the shit out of me the other day when I discovered that she and one her neighbours had been talking about a man’s sexual performance! I guess you’re never too old to trash a man?
There was a good deal of controversy over the weekend when a UK DJ said “R.I.P.” to a UK artist that recently passed away. Within circles, it was well known that the artist didn’t like him because the DJ didn’t really play much of his music, but then a lot of UK DJs don’t play UK music, and a lot of UK black music fans don’t buy UK music! Having worked at five different record labels, I know how difficult it is to break a UK act. The UK music-buying public would rather buy the worst piece of shit by an American simply because it’s American! Did Lynden David Hall have a Top 10 hit single? No. Because people were too busy creaming their jeans over some American swingbeat star! Be consistent, people! Support UK acts while they are still alive!
Listening to TalkSport on Sunday, I was saddened to hear that a couple of League Division Two sides will probably go out of business in the next couple of months. Imagine? The club you’ve supported all your life going out of business? Many of us support Premier League sides so it may never happen but just imagine? Your team, your weekend, your social life: gone! This incompetent government have destroyed so much culture and lifestyle, it is unforgivable; their legacy will be misery.
Many, many thanks to everyone that listened to ‘The A-Z Of Mi-Soul Music’ on Saturday. The Letter R (Pt.6) next week. Again, messages from people who have never messaged me before. It feels good to be adding new listeners. The Mi-Soul DJs work damn hard to bring you 24/7 goodness!
Have a marvellous and momentous Monday. I love you all. And, remember, if you enjoyed this status, check out my second novel ‘Whatever Makes Them Dance’ (52 Five-Star Amazon reviews to date!)

Songwriter:
Hold my body tight
Body
Body
Body tight
Oh hold me
I c u over there
Body would I love 2 share oh
I hold u in my dreams
But then I wake up
Just a dream
I'd do anything 4 u
Steal a star down from the sky
Write a song 4 birds 2 sing
All I ask of u yeah
Just 1 thing baby
Just 1 thing
Just 1 thing
Hold my body tight
All night
Never let me go
Hold my body tight
All night
Never tell me no
Hold me
My body's all alone
Need someone 2 take me home
Talk until the morning light
Don't wanna do ya
Just hold ya tight
I'd do anything 4 u
Steal a star down from the sky
Write a song 4 birds 2 sing
All I ask of u yeah
Just 1 thing baby
Just 1 thing
Just 1 thing
Hold my body tight
All night
Never let me go
Hold my body tight
All night
Never tell me no
Hold me
So come and put them arms around me
Hold me real close
Like an aura
Surround meI need 2 feel ya body
The warmth of ya skin
I need 2 know the beauty
The secret within
And while another would be penetrating
I'll still be stimulating
Contemplating on a vision vibrating
Waiting with the key
2 set your feelings free
Watcha gonna do 4 me
'CosI'd do anything 4 u
Steal a star down from the sky
Write a song 4 birds 2 sing
All I ask of u yeah
Just 1 thing baby
Just 1 thing
Just 1 thing

All night
Never let me go
Hold my body tight

Matt Rowe / Richard Frederick Stannard / Anthony Michael Mortimer
SongFacts:
"Hold My Body Tight" is a song by English boy band East 17, released in June 1995 as the fifth single from their second album Steam (1994). It was the only single from the album to miss the UK top 10, peaking at number 12. Outside the UK, it reached the top 10 in Ireland, Israel, Japan and Lithuania.
The pan-European magazine Music & Media commented: “Anyone can see that daily push-ups keep these guys fitter than any Olympic athlete. If that's not proof enough of their staying power, check out the vitality that Steam's hot swingbeat track exudes." Music Week's Alan Jones described it as "a gently smacking mid-tempo groove" and added: " It's far from being their most melodic song, rather nicely harmonized but a little boring. Definitely not the one to get them back to number one." RM Dance Update's James Hamilton called it a "plaintive jackswing jiggler"
