I've been gradually building up another Marius von Hagen playlist (the last time I made a Marius-centric one was... two years ago) that kind of goes hand in hand with the Vyn Richter building a home playlist, but in reverse.

While the Vyn playlist is on leaving Svart and actively making a place for yourself, the Marius playlist is on leaving Florence to pick up where Giann left off--i.e. leaving a crown vs. having to take on a crown. I just wanted a playlist focusing on Marius having to adjust to his new role :) and you can listen to it here!!

What are some good ff in the yr fandom that are written in swedish?

Hi and sorry for taking so long to answer! This is just a small selection of my personal favorites but if you want more you can check out literally anything by these authors, all their writing is A+!

"Vi skulle klara vad som helst, vi skulle aldrig säga nej" by ageminiheart: Fairy tale-esque AU where Simon is the son of a hairdresser and has to step in for his mum when she gets injured. He meets the very rude prince Wilhelm and slowly a very forbidden romance begins to form. This is like one of my absolute favourite fics like ever, I adore everything about it, from the language to the pacing and the characterization. 1000/10.

"Kvarteret Vallgossen" by harosia: Modern day AU where Wille and Simon are neighbors in a student dorm building. One day Simon gets asked to dog sit Wille's puppy and from there their relationship sets off. This one is so sweet and fluffy and makes you feel literally all the feels. Also 1000/10.

"går du trägen, på den vägen, som är smal men uppåt bär" by graveyardorgarden: AU where Simon and Wille meet at a folkhögskola (kind of like community college?) where they're both studying church music. Wille plays the organ, Simon wants to lead choir. This one isn't finished yet and hasn't been updated in quite a while but I'd recommend it anyway because the way it's written is so heartachingly sad and relatable and just really beautiful.

"Sikta mot stjärnorna" by SilvaGrey: Post-S1 from Linda's POV. The Eriksson's home is vandalized which launches a police investigation.

"Svart hål" by @hanna-kin : Post-S1. Wille has kind of the worst Christmas break possible. Very angsty but in the very best way, I adore this one and the way it's written!

"Din tid kommer" by @eypril-eypril: AU where future Simon and Wille find their way back to each other following the release of a Swedish version of "The Crown". The feelings portrayed in this one is just fantastic as well as the attention to detail. So well-written and definitely another one of my all time faves!

I could probably list like at least 10 more that would make my 'favourite fics-list' but they'd all be by these same authors so just check out all their other stuff if you want more!

Cet E.P 5 titres via le label Hollandais Hammerheart Records, a été enregistré et mixé par Sebastien Camhi au Studio Artmusic (Svart Crown, Gorgon, Akiavel, etc.), masterisé par Jacob Hansen aux studios Hansen (Arch Enemy, Heaven Shall Burn, Volbeat etc.). L'artwork est l'œuvre de Nicolas Senegas.

42 min 01 au forceps concept, et une cover de Samael « Black Trip » pour le duo Fred P (Chant) et Jérôme G (Guitare, basse, backing vocals, orchestration), qui continue de parcourir les déserts glacés dans une flambée mystique, faisant proliférer une sarabande de créatures mélodiques qui s’agite dans le propre corps musical sans cesse, et prolonge cette primitive hallucination de façon obsessionnelle, tout en renforçant le caractère transgressif entre sonorité symphonique et brute. L’œuvre ne souffre d’aucune irrégularité, c’est une odyssée Méditerranéenne, passionnée de lyrisme et dévorante de perpétuer le voyage, périple, la traversée d’une rive à l’autre, du Styx aux cieux, Acod s’amarre à ses désirs musicaux comme aux abysses des songes pour créer l’éblouissement.

Je ne recherche que les moments forts. Je suis d'accord avec les surréalistes, à la recherche du merveilleux. […] Je suis une personne excitante qui ne comprend la vie que de manière lyrique, musicale, chez qui les sentiments sont bien plus forts que la raison. J'ai tellement soif de merveilleux que seul le merveilleux a pouvoir sur moi. Tout ce que je ne peux pas transformer en quelque chose de merveilleux, je le lâche. La réalité ne m'impressionne pas. Je ne crois qu'à l'ivresse, à l'extase, et quand la vie ordinaire m'enchaîne, je m'évade, d'une manière ou d'une autre. C’est également le cas pour ACOD, je le sens de manière vertigineuse.

ECR.LINF – Belluaires

Ecr.Linf c’est l’abréviation d’"écrasons l'infâme", formule du philosophe des Lumières Voltaire qu’il utilisait dès 1763 en conclusion de ses lettres. Ce slogan invitait ainsi ses correspondants à le joindre dans son combat contre l'obscurantisme, notamment religieux.

Ce groupe est composé de Dorian Lairson (Guitare) et Krys Denhez (Chant) et de Jean Lassalle (claviers) dont les trois faisaient partie du groupe Jarell, ainsi que de Jiu Gebenholtz (ex-No Return) à la basse, puis de Rémi Sefarino (ex-Svart Crown, Hyrgal, etc.) à la batterie.

« Belluaires » ce sont 8 titres enregistrés, mixés et masterisés par Edgard Chevallier pour 41min 28 de Black Metal via Source Atone Records et My Kingdom Music. Pour le concept le groupe a expliqué : "De la préhistoire à nos jours, l’histoire s’est déchaînée sur l’Homme d’une telle violence qu’on en chercherait un coupable idéal. Alors, on pourrait commencer à faire une liste de toutes les personnalités historiques en les accusant d’avoir fait tomber l’humanité dans ses plus grands travers : une guerre mondiale par ci, une épuration par là… Mais ceci ne nous aiderait guère à faire évoluer les mentalités, on rejetterait encore une fois la faute sur autrui (aussi vil soit-il). Quel est donc ce dénominateur commun ? le contexte historique, économique ou idéologique ? Un peu de tout ça mais si on remonte un cran en amont, c’est le procès de l’âme humaine qu’il nous faut réaliser. "

Dans ce combat contre les ténèbres humaines et l'obscurantisme, le groupe pose les germes d'une exploration du black metal Français, théâtral, offensif, il mobilise volontiers des représentations et une esthétique qui suscitent en nous de sourdes réminiscences. En ce sens l’œuvre peut résonner en chacun sans que l’érudition se révèle impérative. Spirituellement inspiré par les innombrables facettes de la nature humaine, en particulier les émotions les plus dissimulées, les plus primitives, les moins confortables, la tonalité suit l’absence de couleurs vives par des tonalités sombres, voire terreuses et contribuent à ce sentiment d’usure abrasive, écaillée, rompue à sentir brûler les âmes dans leur tâche vers la lumière.

As we begin with our end of year wrap-up, we've asked Kurokuma guitarist/vocalist and Doomed & Stoned contributor Jacob Mazlum to comment on his seven favorite metal releases of the year. They are presented to you in no particular order.

Genevieve -- Regressionism

Regressionism by Genevieve

If your typical death metal band is as camp as the titular creature in the 1931 version of Frankenstein, then Genevieve are as confoundingly destructive yet complex and vulnerable as Mary Shelley's creation in the original novel. There is horror here, real horror. It speaks of a darkness that can be found in every human being, that uncomfortable unspoken sensation that lets you know that, yeah, you could be the one to push the button, pull the trigger, lock the door despite the desperate screams outside.

Bell Witch -- Mirror Reaper

Mirror Reaper by Bell Witch

An 83-minute solemn death rattle from beyond the grave, a masterpiece, and the most important doom album of the year by a mile. It takes a level of artistry and brilliance far above what most bands are capable of to create this kind of album, capturing an atmosphere that is so thick it can turn the air cold. Truly, Bell Witch create the kind of doom that should make most bands ashamed to lay claim to the same genre.

Code -- Under The Subgleam

Under the Subgleam by Code

There's something weird, something spidery and subversive going on here. Under The Subgleam belongs to that patch of black metal that has a distinctly urban sound. These are songs that conjure up dark wet alleys, unsettlingly empty streets, rain dripping off rusted wire fencing, and that sensation of being surrounded by millions yet feeling utterly alone. The modern urban megacity is an abomination to the animal side of mankind, and London's Code recognise this. Better yet, they revel in it.

Mutoid Man -- War Moans

War Moans by Mutoid Man

The semi-superground Mutoid Man do what Torche (in my humble opinion) never really managed -- to marry the heft of sludge-doom with a poppy melodic approach and come out on top. Better yet, these Brooklyn boys merge such disparate sounds with the kind of boldness that suggests they've never interacted with your typical metal purist, and damn does it work. They may swap heaviness for accessibility, and this may understandably turn some off, but Marty Friedman provides a solo on the track "War Moans." Who could dislike that?

Svart Crown -- Abreaction

As an Englishman (kinda), it comes with a degree of discomfort to admit that France are wiping the floor with the UK when it comes to vitally forward-thinking metal. Svart Crown are one such band, and after skipping their previous release, Profane (simply due to it’s the awful cover art), I decided to spend some time with Abreaction.   I now wish I hadn't, as its brilliance makes my musical manhood feel very small indeed.

Thantifaxath -- Void Masquerading As Matter

Void Masquerading as Matter by Thantifaxath

If Code excel in their specialised urban black metal sound, then Thantifaxath go one step further, inhabiting a potentially one-band niche with their execution of some alien breed of swirling psychotic-savant black metal. The term "psychedelic" is all too often analogised as a smooth and pleasant ride, but here Thantifaxath use their own brand of psychedelia to take you through a twisting vortex laced with thorns and razor wire. It's unsettling, it's difficult, and it’s incredible.

Tchornobog -- Tchornobog

This may be, strictly speaking, a death metal album, but the feeling one gets when they sink into its darker, long-form recesses is akin to the brilliance that makes the best doom albums so great. The self-titled debut by Tchornobog is simply monstrous, as if it were the auditory manifestation of some ageless and vile colossal being. It is perhaps because of this that Tchornobog feels so predatory -- apathetically malicious, yet almost entertained by your presence. Try to pull it apart all you want, you're simply pressing your ear closer to the heartbeat of this awful beast.
