LATE SEND . . . todoroki shouto x f ! reader / fluff / both of you are pro-heroes ! / not proofread
note : this is within the universe of my drabble ‘three peas in a pod’ shoutout to anon for helping me name katsuki’s kids (katsuro & suzuki) they’re super cute ! i hc that katsuki lets his kids just run around the agency and getting to hang out with the other heroes.
Tumblr media
katsuki’s wife was busy, and he had to tend to an emergency. so today, ‘uncle shouto’ was tasked to pick them up after their kindergarten class.
the two ran up to him, already seeing his two toned hair getting closer. “uncle shou!” katsuro says hugging his leg. suzuki waves happily and hands him her bags, “is too heavy.” she says with a pout.
he helps them with their bags. carrying katsuki’s little girl while his little boy is holding shouto’s hand. but he stops before he could even leave the gates.
“oh! it’s auntie y/n!” suzuki says pointing at you. you had momo’s kid in your arms. apparently the both of you had god parent duties today.
you stand there in shock, before giggling. your niece held onto you tighter because she felt a little shy. “little zuzu and suro, and shou huh?”
“the bakugou’s entrusted me today.” he mentions, and the little ones keep quiet, listening to your conversation. you close the trunk of your car and walk closer to him. you try to bring down momo’s kid on the ground but she wouldn’t let you go.
“and this little one’s mama got sick. but she’s taking good care of her, right baby?”
“yup! i’m gonna be mama’s doctor later!” she beams, and shouto knew his heart skipped a beat from how good you’re handling her.
however, what the both of you didn’t know was that katsuki’s kids are really observant. they knew everything about their mother without her having to tell them—this goes the same with the people they care about.
how their uncle shouto’s hands shake slightly, or how his cheeks get pink. just like how their father gets nervous around their mother.
he didn’t even know he was blushing till little zuzu presses her cheeks against his, “uncle shou is pink!” she says while giggling.
you take a moment before looking at him, you laugh slightly getting shouto feeling a bit abashed, “well i’m getting her home, i hope you guys have fun!“
you turn around and called out to him, “oh shou! i’ll be at the agency later, need some helps on the reports m’kay?”
“got it.” he says with a nod.
you both wave goodbye and shouto walks over to his own car parked a few steps away. helping them at the backseat and then driving off to the agency. “your dad’s probably back right now.”
“i love when uncle shou picks us up!” one of them say, “but we’re not gonna play today right?”
“maybe another time.” they cheer in unison.
“uncle shou?”
shouto sees bakugou’s children from the rearview mirror. they were giggling to themselves and whispering before he responds. “yeah katsuro?”
they continue to whisper and laugh, causing shouto to smile himself, “what’s funny?” it was just a short drive. it was over before they knew it and he parks on the side of the building. he unbuckles his seatbelt and opens the door to the back, that’s when they dropped the question.
“do you like… do you like auntie y/n?” shouto freezes. already recalling how katsuki told them that they’re ‘too smart for their own good ’ when he called him.
shouto smiles curiously, “what made you say that?” together they entered the building, holding them in each hand. the three of them greeting everyone they passed by. how their backpacks made clings and clangs as they skipped.
they went into the elevator and didn’t bring you up for a bit. only until you reach to the top floor and knocked on katsuki’s office. “come in.” his kids already pushing inside and ran up to him. placing down their bags before they jumped in his arms.
“did you have fun?”
they hum and nod, “i think uncle shouto likes auntie y/n!” katsuki grins, already ready to tease his friend, “yeah? tell me more.” as if the blonde didn’t already know.
shouto is internally groaning. he’s seated across them from the couches in the office. they telling their dad about how much shou would blush or how he’s so ‘careful’ when speaking with you.
they got all that from just a conversation?
“really now?” they’re nodding so much from excitement. “ah i think you should help him then.” was what katsuki says before laughing at the fire and ice hero who’s about to short circuit from the embarrassment.
katsuki’s little girl walks over to him. squinting her eyes and making a camera with her hands, “uncle shou is good looking!“
“i think uncle shou should get a girlfriend! maybe auntie y/n likes him too!” katsuro says.
“likes him too? huh?” was what all shouto could think.
suzuki is giggling again, telling her uncle to come closer, “auntie y/n let me play with her phone one time.” she says whispering to him. “don’t tell her! i saw you message her! your name had a heart beside it.”
shouto remembers when you called him the other day but it ended up being suzuki through the other line.
katsuki was definitely enjoying this. shouto tried really hard to leave their little conversation but they wouldn’t let him. eventually they were sleeping a few minutes later.
“haha! they watch romcoms with their mother after all.” katsuki pats him on his shoulder. “just try it out. i think you got a chance. or stay stupid i don’t care.”
it was probably an hour later before you text shouto to meet you at the meeting room.
he takes a deep breath and walks in, seeing you on your laptop with a pile of documents. “oh shou hey!” you motion for him to take a seat beside you.
you two caught two robbers the other day, you just needed him to add in more details that you missed. “those two dumbasses didn’t have their quirks registered right?” you ask him. he nods and scanned through the rest of the report on your laptop. you handed it over to him while you checked on your phone.
however shouto had something he wanted to confirm for himself. and when that familiar ting! from a text goes off from your phone, the notification syncs to your laptop and pop up in a small window of his own text showing on the side of the screen.
shou ❤︎ : i’m on the way. see you. :)
was what it said. he planned this himself, scheduling his message on this specific time, thinking he’d be using your laptop or you’re letting him read off from the screen, ready to use an excuse that his message sent late.
suzuki wasn’t lying when she said he had a heart on his contact name. mentally thanking her for being on his side. (classic god parent favoritism, sorry eiji!)
your eyes widen when you see him shocked himself, sliding your laptop your side and closing it.
“a-ah! the report’s already done by now right? i’ll send it over soon. thanks for your help.” you hurriedly gather your things and try to leave but he stops you.
“hey. let’s talk.” you couldn’t think of an excuse on the spot, so you nervously sit back down to your seat. it’s now or never.
“i… i liked you ever since.”
a small gasp comes out of your lips, “ever since when?”
“during our last year in UA.” you looked at him in shock, but your face softens. realizing he liked you before you did, and you’re the one embarrassed about a little thing.
“i’m happy about the contact name.”
“so what are you gonna do about it?”
“dinner at my place?”
you smile, “alright. but i need to see my contact name on yours first.”
shouto has some good news when he picks those two up again.

MY TOP 5 WRESTLERS & MATCHES OF 2019
Top 5 Wrestlers Of The Year:
1, WILL OSPREAY - High flying sensation had his best year ever in the ring, and when he was on, nobody could touch him, having more incredible matches this year than anyone. Started the year with a bang by defeating Kota Ibushi to win the NEVER Title in the tremendous Wrestle Kingdom opener, that was only marred by the fact it didn’t go a bit longer. Went to an excellent 30 minute time limit draw with PAC in the dream match main event of REV PRO’s High Stakes show on February 15th. Over Wrestlemania weekend, defeated Bandido and dropped the NEVER strap to Jeff Cobb at the historic MSG show, both of which were great outings. Had blow-away matches in the BOSJ with Rocky Romero, YOH, El Phantasmo, Bandido, and Robbie Eagles, before defeating Shingo Takagi in the outstanding Tournament final on June 5th, which was the best wrestling match of the year. Followed that up a few days later by defeated Dragon Lee for the Jr Title in a superb high-flying outing at the Dominion show. Beat Robbie Eagles in another super match in Melbourne, Australia in his first defense on June 29th, then formed a team with him, resulting in numerous fab doubles clashes. Entered his first G1 Climax in July and August and, despite only ending with 8 points, had a fantastic tournament with matches against foes as diverse as Lance Archer, SANADA, Ibushi, Okada, Zack Sabre Jr, EVIL, KENTA and Hiroshi Tanahashi all being pretty much incredible, the latter of which being his biggest win ever as he pinned the legend that is Tanahashi clean. Made it to the semi finals of the revived Super J Cup in the U.S. in August, again looking great and having the best match of once-retired Amazing Red’s career en route. Avenged his BOSJ and J Cup losses to Phantasmo and had the best match I’ve ever seen BUSHI in a singles capacity, in two more stellar Junior Title defences in the Autumn. Junior Title match with the returning Hiromu Takahashi on January 4th should be off the page, provided Hiromu is 100%. I think it time he lose the belt and make the jump to Heavyweight full-time in 2020.
2, KAZUCHIKA OKADA - The Rainmaker maybe didn’t have his most spectacular in-ring year in 2019, but he still was at the top of the heap with regards to match quality. Lost clean to Jay White in an excellent Wrestle Kingdom match on January 4th, but rebounded by winning the best New Japan Cup tournament in history, defeating Michael Elgin, Mikey Nicholls, Ospreay, Tomohiro Ishii and finally, SANADA, the latter two of which were amongst the very best matches of the year, to earn an IWGP Title shot against Jay White at Madison Square Garden. Defeated defending champion White at that show in another fantastic outing to win his 5th IWGP Heavy Title. Upended SANADA again in his first successful Title defence on May 4th at the Wrestling Dontaku show, which was another excellent bout. Was challenged by Chris Jericho at Dominion on June 9th. The match, in which Okada won, was a solid contest, but his weakest IWGP Title Match since Feburary of 2016. Turned in a fantastic G1 tournament, having wonderful collisions with the likes of Tanahashi, ZSJ, KENTA, had the best matches I’ve ever seen SANADA and EVIL respectively have, and was in a superstar making bout with Will Ospreay, before losing in the A Block decision match to Kota Ibushi, which again, was amongst the best matches this year. Was pinned by Minoru Suzuki on the final night of the tournament in a great tag match to set up an IWGP Title match in London on August 31st. Rainmakered his way to victory over the slippery shooter in that match, which was predictably superb. Had a fourth, emotion driven bout against SANADA at the King Of Pro-Wrestling show on October 14th, which whilst still great, ended up being the weakest of the four they’ve had this year. Sold his backside off for Jushin Thunder Liger in the legend’s final Korakuen Hall match, before putting him away with a Rainmaker to end the year. Impending IWGP Heavyweight Title defence against Ibushi on January 4th should be out of this world great.
3, KOTA IBUSHI - The Golden Star had a very eventful year indeed. Started with a bang by dropping the NEVER Title to Will Opsreay in a super Wrestle Kingdom match, in which he put The Ariel Assassin over in the strongest possible way, pulling a stretcher job to sell the beating (even though he did suffer a legitimate concussion in the match). Disappeared until February when he resurfaced saying he’d singned a ‘lifetime’ deal with New Japan, which was especialy good news for the company, as there was a fear he too was going to jump to the newly-formed AEW. Had a trilogy of terrifying matches with Tetsuya Naito, the highlight of which was Ibushi winning his first Intercontinental Championship at the MSG show on April 6th. There’s no denying the spectacular nature of these matches, however, all three featuring some incredibly dangerous bumps that it was often hard to really enjoy them. To the point I don’t want to see a match between these guys any time soon (or even ever again). Had an excellent successful I.C. Title defence against Zack Sabre Jr. on April 20th, before dropping the belt back to Naito at Dominion. Won maybe the greatest G1 Climax of all-time, looking phenomenal in doing so, especially seeing as he sufered a serious ankle injury on a dive in his very first tournament match against KENTA in Dallas, Texas. Tempered his style somewhat throughout the rest of the G1, but still had tremendous outings against EVIL, SANADA, ZSJ and Lance Archer, as well as outstanding victories over Ospreay, Tanahashi and Okada, before defeating evil heel Jay White in a perfect tournament final to earn the Wrestle Kingdom main event spot. Has voiced his desire to hold both the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Titles simultaneously, which has lead to the Winner-Takes-All match on January 5th. Successfully defended the WK Breifcase against KENTA in an excellent match in his hometown of Kagoshima on September 16th, as well as EVIL in Ryogoku Kokugikan on October 14th. Spent the Autumn and Winter months brawling with Wrestle Kingdom foe Okada. It remains to be seen if New Japan will have him go over at WK14, but if they do, it’ll be a surefire sign that they’re “all-in” on pushing him to the moon.
4a, TOMOHIRO ISHII - The ever dependable Stone Pitbull had yet another stellar year in 2019. Dropped the RPW British Title to Zack Sabre Jr. in an excellent Tokyo Dome clash on January 4th, in which he tried everything in his power to make ZSJ look like a killer. Had a fantastic run in the New Japan Cup in March, having a hard-hitting war with Yuji Nagata in the first round, carrying both Taichi and YOSHI-HASHI to great matches in the next stages, before losing to fellow CHAOS stablemate Okada in an outstanding semi-final, that was amongst the 10 best matches of the year. Spent the Spring feuding with EVIL, which culminated in a super heated battle in Fukuoka on May 4th, which ishii won. Again made Taichi look amazing en route to defeating him for the NEVER Title in an excellent match at Dominion on June 9th. Once again, looked liked a God amongst men in the G1, firstly having super victories over Jeff Cobb and Jay White, before losing to Jon Moxley in the best match of Moxley’s life at the July 19th Korakuen Hall show. Had fab outings with Tetsuya Naito, Juice Robinson, Hirooki Goto and even Toru Yano throughout the tournament, before peaking in an out-and-out war with Shingo Takagi on August 8th. Carried Taichi to a third straight excellent bout on August 11th, putting him over strong, and resulting in the best match I’ve ever seen Taichi in. Was turned on by KENTA the next night, resulting in the best, most heated angle of the year. Match in which he dropped the NEVER strap to KENTA in London on August 31st got off to a really great start, but things fell apart somewhat after KENTA was KO’d on a German Suplex. Super-stiff rematch on November 3rd was much better, but unsuccessful for Ishii, as he was pinned with the Go 2 Sleep. Finished the year in an excellent doubles clash with Will Ospreay, taking on EVIL and the returning Hiromu Takahashi at Korakuen Hall on December 21st. 44 year old finds himself in the prelims of the Wrestle Kingdom shows, but is clearly hurting from all the punishment he’s taken over the years, so some time off probably wouldn’t go amiss.
4b, SHINGO TAKAGI - Former Dragon Gate star made the right choice in jumping to New Japan. Team with BUSHI won the IWGP Jr Tag Titles at WK13 in a fun, but much too brief 3-way tag. Teams Title defences against Kanemaru & Desperado, and Roppongi 3K in February and March were both respectively excellent. Was the star of numerous great six and eight man tag matches throughout the Spring months. He and BUSHI’s title defence against SHO and YOH on April 26th was a tremendous bout, and the best Junior tag team match held in New Japan in years. Entered the BOSJ and went undefeated throughout, having fantastic showings against the likes of SHO, Marty Scurll, Dragon Lee, Jonathan Gresham, and Taiji Ishimori, before losing in the outstanding tournament final against Will Ospreay on June 5th, which was the best match held anywhere in the world in 2019. Officially moved up to Heavyweight with an excellent victory over veteran Satoshi Kojima at Dominion. Entered his first G1 Climax in July and August. Whilst not as successful as his BOSJ run, and despite finishing with only 8 points (much like fellow BOSJ finalist Ospreay) still looked fantastic throughout, having truly great bouts with Juice, Taichi, and Jon Moxley, as well as exceptional contests with Jay White and Jeff Cobb, and three of the best matches all year against fellow LIJ stablemate Tetsuya Naito, Tomohiro Ishii, and Hirooki Goto, the latter two of which he won. Lost to Goto in a fab rematch in Kobe on September 22nd, and has kept a relatively low profile ever since. Here’s hoping The Dragon has a much larger profile in the heavyweight scene in 2020.
5, JAY WHITE - The incredibly divisive Switchblade had a breakout year in 2019. Best heel in the business cleanly pinned Okada in a great Tokyo Dome outing, then followed that up by unseating Hiroshi Tanahashi to win his first IWGP Heavyweight Title in an excellent bout on Feburary 11th. Pinned Will Ospreay in the fantastic main event of the 47th Anniversary Show on March 6th. Dropped the IWGP belt in his first defence to Kazuchika Okada in the tremendous main event of the G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden. Beat Hirooki Goto on April 29th, and Hiroshi Tanahashi in his return from injury at BOSJ Final Sumo Hall show on June 5th, in yet more great matches. Nefarious heel had an interesting G1 Climax, in which it was more about telling a compelling story as opposed to having blow-away matches. Started the tourney on a losing streak, looking at the lights for Goto and Ishii in excellent outings, before beating Shingo in another quality outing. Had really good victories over Jon Moxley and Juice Robinson, before pinning Tetsuya Naito with the Blade Runner, to the shock of many, to win the B Block. Lost to Kota Ibushi in one of the greatest G1 Climax finals ever on August 12th, and looked amazing in doing so. Victory over Naito ensured him a shot at the IWGP Intercontinental Championship on September 22nd, which he very surprisingly won in an unsurprisingly excellent bout. Defeated Goto again in his first defence of the title on November 3rd, and he too expressed a desire to be ‘double champion”. Will defend the “white belt” against Naito at WK14 on January 4th. The 26 year old is a super-smooth worker, and his heel persona is first-rate, however, his methodical style and reliance upon intereference and shenanigans leaves him marmite to the “work rate” crowd. Regardless, it seems White, a homegrown talent, is destined to be at the top of the NJPW totem pole for quite some time to come.
Honourable Mentions: Kento Miyahara, Yuji Okabayashi

Wrestle Kingdom 14 preview (part 1)
For 29 years, New Japan Pro Wrestling has run an annual Tokyo Dome show on January 4, right after Japan’s multi-day New Year celebrations.  This is the 14th such show called “Wrestle Kingdom,” and the first to expand to a two-day event.  Aside from WWE’s stadium shows, this is the biggest pro wrestling event of the year, so if you’re looking to get into NJPW, this is a good place to start.
Kazuchika Okada vs. Kota Ibushi - Ibushi won the 2019 G1 Climax tournament for the right to challenge Okada for the IWGP heavyweight championship, the top title in New Japan.  This is being billed as part of a “Double Gold Dash” along with Jay White vs. Tetsuya Naito, so the champions coming out of those two matches will meet on the January 5 show with both titles at stake.  The two guys who leave this show empty handed will wrestle in a consolation match on the undercard of the January 5 show.
Okada, a five-time champion, has held the title for 1,789 of the last 2,883 days.  In the past seven years, all the other titleholders put together have not held the belt as long as he has.  He’s The Man, handpicked to lead the company into the 2010s and beyond, and at just 32 years of age he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.  The storyline for Okada is pretty basic--he’s almost always on top, acting kinda cocky about it, and dismissing the competition until they give him a reason to take them seriously.  He’s the one guy in this Double Gold Dash who doesn’t care about being a double champion, and he resents the suggestion that his one championship is somehow inadequate.
Ibushi is something of an oddball journeyman, whose phenomenal talent has at times been at odds with his unorthodox approach to business.  He might have been champion many times over by now, but he preferred to be a free agent rather than commit to any one company, making it politically difficult to push him.  Then, just as it seemed he might jump to All Elite Wrestling with his soulmate Kenny Omega, he locked in with a long-term NJPW contract.  (If you’ve been watching AEW and wondering why Omega seems depressed and out-of-sorts, it’s because he had to leave this guy behind.)  At 37 he’s finally getting the tippy-toppy guy push he always deserved...and yet the story is that he’d kinda sorta rather have the intercontinental title, for sentimental reasons.
Expectations for this match are running high, because each man has delivered some of the best matches in the world.  Okada’s whole thing is to get in his opponent’s head by teasing him and taking him lightly until things get harder and he has to turn it up.  Ibushi’s whole thing is fighting like an anime guy--he’s all honorable at first with quick flashy moves, and then when he’s beaten down he hulks up and goes sickhouse on your ass.  Basically Ibushi is the wrong damn guy for Okada’s “you’re a good little hand, kid, but you can’t beat me” shtick, because Ibushi will kick his head off.  But Okada is the wrong damn guy for Ibushi’s “now I’m in ultimate turbo super collosal mode” shit, because Okada can weather the storm and keep going.  Whoever wins this one is going to have to damn near kill the other guy.
It’s tough to pick a winner knowing anything could happen 24 hours later.  But it feels like this is Ibushi’s time, and it’s taken a long time to get there, so he should win the big one.  But history has taught me to never doubt Okada’s ability to crush his challengers’ hopes and dreams and convince me that it’s best for business.  If anyone can roll over Ibushi’s push, it’s Okada.  But if anybody can defy conventions, it’s Ibushi.  This one’s too close to call.
Jay White vs. Tetsuya Naito - White pinned Naito in the G1 Climax, and then won the IWGP intercontinental title from Naito in September, so this is the rematch.  This is also the other half of the “Double Gold Dash” along with Okada vs. Ibushi, so the champion after this match goes on to the double title match on January 5, and the other guy ends up in the consolation match.
The whole idea of everybody wanting to be double champion kicked off a year ago with Naito.  He’d always resented the intercontinental belt, dragging it on the ground and such, but after winning it at Wrestle Kingdom 13 he seemed to come to terms with it always coming back to him, and set his sights on being the first man to hold it and the heavyweight belt at the same time.  Of course, then he lost his belt to Ibushi, and had to get it back, and before you knew it Ibushi was deciding he liked the idea of being a double champion as well.  As talk of a double title match at the Tokyo Dome started heating up, White realized his best shot of regaining the heavyweight title was to take the intercontinental belt from Naito to ensure he’d be in the conversation.  But Naito, undeterred, insisted on getting a rematch with Naito, which secured his spot in this little tournament.
It’s still incredible to me that White used to be the scrawny looking young boy in the opening matches 3½ years ago.  He’s not quite at the level of the other tippy-toppy guys, but for my money he’s one of the best in the company.  Part of the reason I haven’t missed Kenny Omega in NJPW all that much is because White has taken the top gaijin role, run with it, and made it his own.  He’s so hated that, if he wins the main event on 1/5, there is a very real chance that tens of thousands of people will just rush to the exits instead of watching the end of the show.  He’s great.
The big knock on Naito is that he’s pretty banged up and can’t go like he used to.  In WWE they’d probably take him off the road, or reduce his schedule to a handful of matches each year until he could recover.  In New Japan, he seems to be on every tour, phoning it in until it’s time to pull out all the stops in a big money match.  Now he’s looking at two big money matches in a row.  If you ask me now is not the time to book Naito over two top stars and position him to defend two top belts like he’s Superman.  Then again, if you ask me, I’m not certain anyone at NJPW sees it that way.
I’m not expecting this match to be all that great.  Naito has elevated “stall to fuck with your opponent” to a whole new artform.  White, meanwhile, has perfected a strategy where he goes limp and lies on his back so opponents can’t execute their big moves (because pro wrestlers don’t know how to just stomp a guy or grab a hold, apparently).  When these two fight, it’s very much Larry Zbyszko’s “human game of chess,” and to be honest I never liked Zbyszko very much.
The outcome here really depends on what New Japan sees as the best opponent for the winner of Okada-Ibushi to headline the 1/5 show.  Of the possible combinations, Okada-Naito is the freshest match (last seen in January 2018), followed by Okada-White (April 2019), Ibushi-Naito (June 2019) and Ibushi-White (August 2019).  That sort of leads me to think Naito is the preferred winner here, in addition to the fact he’s the bigger star and the bigger draw.  The question, though, is whether his body can hold up to the demands of that star power.
Will Ospreay vs. Hiromu Takahashi - Ospreay is defending the IWGP junior heavyweight championship.  Takahashi is returning from a neck injury that has sidelined him since July 7, 2018.
I was in the Cow Palace when Takahashi seemed to glide across the mat as if his face was an ice skate.  I still remember the noise the crowd made when we saw the replay.  I was relieved when Hiromu got back up and won the match to retain the junior title, because I assumed that meant everything would be all right.  By the time I learned he’d been immediately rushed to the hospital after the match, I was sightseeing in San Francisco the next day.  I followed his status updates closely, until they stopped coming.  Then I commiserated with New Japan Tumblr about the frustration of expecting him to return at every single big show.  So yeah, I’ve been waiting for this for a long time.
Here’s the thing.  Both of these men do big crazy moves that elevate the art of lightweight pro wrestling.  They aim to please the crowd with high-risk spots, and accept the enormous risks of overdoing those spots.  I appreciate Will and Hiromu for their styles.  But I consider them two of my favorites because of their characters, the stuff that they could coast instead of killing themselves for style.  Ospreay didn’t elevate his game by flipping around with Ricochet, but by delivering a passionate promo about battling depression and vowing to “slay the dragon” by overcoming the (then) undefeated Shingo Takagi.  Hiromu didn’t elevate his game by feuding with Dragon Lee, but by purchasing a stuffed cat and making us treat it like a real cat.
So as far as I’m concerned, the big angle for this match is that Ospreay has introduced his own stuffed animal mascot (Percy the Pig) to counteract Hiromu’s cats.  If they met in the center of the ring at the Tokyo Dome and made their dolls fight each other, I would declare it the match of the year.  I don’t need these guys to destroy themselves for me.  I accept that they will try to do that anyway.  But I’m into this match on a whole other level, and I hope they don’t lose sight of that.
I personally think Hiromu needs to regain the junior title (even if only for a few weeks) to close the book on his return from injury.  The only good reason not to do that here is if they think he still needs to shake off some ring rust.  But by all accounts, he’s been cleared to wrestle for months, so if the time for the title win isn’t now, I’ll be incredibly shocked.
Lance Archer vs. Jon Moxley - This is for Archer’s IWGP United States championship.  The match is being billed as a “Texas death match,” although the rules for such a contest seem to change literally every time someone books one.  In this case, the match can only end when one participant submits or fails to answer the referee’s count of ten.  Regardless of the outcome, whoever is US champion will defend against Juice Robinson on the January 5 show.
Moxley won the title from Robinson in June, but Juice pinned him in a non-title match in August.  That set up a rubber match in October 14, but Typhoon Hagiibis prevened Mox from making the show, so he was stripped of the title.  Archer defeated Juice in a match for the vacant title, and now Moxley is back to reclaim what he never lost in the ring.  For his part, Archer is fixated on validating his title run by defeating the ex-champion he’s never faced.
Archer was always terrifying in his run with Davey Boy Smith, Jr., as the Killer Elite Squad, but after Smith left he really started to show me something as a singles guy.  He was an unexpected highlight in the G1 Climax as a big bully that frightens small children, and I’m actually ashamed that I didn’t consider the potential of a feud with Moxley until he back-doored his way into the US title picture.  I like seeing Moxley with an IWGP championship, but I have to admit Archer is a stronger choice for a US champion, considering that he’s not contractually prohibited from defending the title in North America.
My gut says the Robinson match on January 5 doesn’t make a lot of sense unless the goal is to rapidly reset things back to October 14 and deliver the Moxley vs. Robinson title match.  I don’t see why they’d do it that way unless they’re determined to move the title back to Juice and have Moxley give him the rub.  While there are certainly other possibilities (Archer retains in both matches, Moxley wins both matches, Archer beats Mox but loses to Juice), none of them make quite as much sense to me.  Since I happen to like all three guys, I guess I can’t be disappointed in any event.  But as far as this match goes, I think Moxley will regain the US belt.
Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa vs. Juice Robinson & David Finlay - Robinson and Finlay won the World Tag League tournament for the right to challenge the Guerillas of Destiny for the IWGP heavyweight tag team championship.  If Juice wins this match, and goes on to win his US title match tomorrow, he will effectively have two IWGP championships at the same time before any of the Double Gold Dash guys, so that’s kinda funny.
Finlay was sidelined with a shoulder injury very early in 2019, and in the meantime Robinson ended up feuding with Moxley over the US title.  Finlay returned just in time to get involved in the subsequent Juice vs. Lance Archer mini-feud, but Archer made short work of him too.  So their run in World Tag League seemed to be a reset for both guys, giving them a new direction to prosper in while Archer moved on with the US belt.  At least, that’s what I figured before Juice was booked in that US title match on 1/5.  Now I don’t know if they’re planning to push him as a singles act or a tag team guy.  Can they do both?  I guess we’ll see.
The story here for the Guerillas of Destiny is that they dominate the tag division but never actually win at Wrestle Kingdom.  (Tama’s last Tokyo Dome win was years ago, as a curtain jerker, long before Tanga showed up.)  It’s not much of a story, though, so it’s hard for me to imagine they’re going to finally get that big win here.  Juice has been beating himself up a lot for his losses in the past few months, so I’m pulling for him to have something to celebrate tonight.
KENTA & Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens & Yujiro Takahashi vs. Hirooki Goto & Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI & Toru Yano - Now that Wrestle Kingdom has expanded to two days, there’s more room for filler tag team matches to pad the show.  This one is a preview of the Kenta vs. Goto match on January 5.  Kenta was teaming with Ishii and Yoshi when he betrayed them to join Bullet Club, and the two of them have really failed to get any shred of revenge, so this may be their last big chance.  But in the end I expect the Bullet Club team to win to put heat on Kenta going into tomorrow’s title match.
Zack Sabre, Jr. & Taichi & Minoru Suzuki & El Desperado vs. SANADA & EVIL & Shingo Takagi & BUSHI - This match previews the Sabre vs. Sanada match on January 5.  Sanada suffered some sort of injury a couple of weeks ago where he had to be pulled from the card, so there was concern he might not be cleared for this weekend.  But as of this writing, this match is still scheduled.  As a fallback, New Japan booked Bushi to score a big upset on Sabre in December, so that gives Sabre two guys to target here.
I’m curious about the 2020 directions for several guys in this match, most notably Suzuki, Evil, and Shingo.  In theory this match could preview possible storylines for them, but that tends to be something they save for New Year Dash, so I won’t hold my breath.  The Sabre/Taichi team seems to be getting some momentum, so that may also be a thing to watch heading into the new year, especially if Sabre drops his British title to focus on a tag team run.  As far as this match goes, though, I think it could go either way.
Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask & Tatsumi Fujinami & The Great Sasuke vs. Naoki Sano & Tatsuhito Takaiwa & Shinjiro Otani & Ryusuke Taguchi - Liger’s team will be cornered by El Samurai and Sano’s team will be cornered by Kuniaki Kobayashi.  Norio Honaga will be the special referee.  This is the first of two retirement matches for Liger, who will end his in-ring career on January 5 and then have a ceremony on January 6.
Liger (55) has hand-selected the participants in this match.  Tiger Mask (49) has been his long-time tag team partner.  Fujinami (65) was his idol, who inspired him to become a pro wrestler.  Sasuke (50) and Liger collaborated to create the Super J Cup and J Crown tournaments.  Kobayashi (63) was Liger’s first opponent in the Jushin Liger gimmick in 1989.  Sano (54) was Liger’s first big rival back in 1990.  Liger feuded with Takaiwa (47), Otani (47), Samurai (53), and Honaga (64) over the years.  Taguchi (40) seems to mainly be there to help carry the match and represent the current New Japan junior division.
In theory, a guy that’s retiring should lose on his way out.  Then again, in theory a guy that’s retiring doesn’t have two retirement matches in the Tokyo Dome.  Liger obviously has to go down hard on 1/5, but he could score the win here to give us one last big celebration with his cool theme music and stuff.  It is frankly not that important to give the rub to Taguchi or his team.  So, unexpectedly, we’ll have to wait and see how this one plays out.
Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi - This is one of three opening matches that will be in the pre-show.  All four guys are on the active roster but they’re all past their prime and mainly work with the young boys in the undercard.  If you’ve watched New Japan for any time at all you’ve probably seen these four a dozen times.  It’s not going to blow the roof off the dome, but it’ll be a nice nostalgia pop to see them working in the Tokyo Dome one more time.  It kinda doesn’t matter who wins.
Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma & Yuya Uemura & Yota Tsuji vs. Toa Henare & Karl Fredericks & Clark Connors & Alex Coughlin - Another pre-show match, which should be the first one actually broadcast for streaming services and Japanese television.  Makabe and Honma are longtime partners who are all that’s left of the defunct faction GBH.  Uemura and Tsuji are young boys training in New Japan’s dojo system.  Henare graduated from that system a while back, but he’s still little more than a curtain jerker waiting for his first real push.  Fredericks, Connors, and Coughlin are trainees at New Japan’s new Los Angeles dojo, as part of their big “New Japan of America” initiative.  On paper, there’s no way Makabe and Honma lose to a bunch of rookies, let alone gaijin rookies.  But they’ve been pushing the LA Dojo students as being a hair better than the local young boys, so I think an upset is at least possible.
Arisa Hoshiki & Mayu Iwatani vs. Giulia & Hana Kimura - This is a special exhibition match featuring women from the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion.  Although NJPW and Stardom are owned by the same parent company, their broadcasting rights are with different outlets, so this probably won’t be aired on the live stream, and I’m not certain when or where it will be made available to view.  That’s a shame since I know almost nothing about Stardom, and this could have been a good opportunity to dip my toe in that.  I’ve heard fans of both promotions aren’t wild about them intermingling like this, but booking men and women on the same show is pretty standard in the West so I’m sure I wouldn’t understand the problem.

11 Questions Tag
Woot, my 2nd tag eva!
Tagged by @notanotherhour! Thank you, lovely ✩·͙*̩̩͙˚̩̥̩̥( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )*̩̩͙✩·͙˚̩̥̩̥.
1. What inspired your most recent WIP?
Moooost recent? Hm hm hm. It’s hard to remember which is the most recent considering how many wips and ideas I have, but I believe the most recent one is Sky Warrior. It’s inspired by and pays homage to an old LOTRs RPG writing-board I did with some other Orlando Bloom fangirls. We jumped on a plane and crashed in Middle Earth. Needless to say, surprising adventures ensued. I’ve been thinking about making a page for it, but the opening is posted here.
2. Do you prefer writing at day or night?
Night! When it’s dark and I’m alone and there’s no one to bother me. I’m also an insomniac, so it’s when my creativity flows best.
3. Would you ever want to see one of your wips adapted into a film or tv series?
I saw Bearer of Power in my head as if it was a movie, so I always tried to emphasize its visual aesthetics. I’d be pretty pleased if that made it. So long as I was in charge and the budget was expansive. Any of my other wips would be visually pleasing too. I think. But Frost of Avalon is probably the closest second.
4. What is the first plot you ever remember writing?
In elementary, we were supposed to write a little short story. If I recall, mine was about a purple and green cat-alien. I don’t remember anything about it. There may have been food involved.
5. What is your editing process?
I rewrite my first draft with a side by side view. Then I’ll add the meatiness of the scene(s).
After that, I look for repetitive ideas and choose the better visual. I tend to convey the same intention three different ways (pointed out to me by my editor), so this process is important for me. I also get rid of unnecessary phrases that are slowing down the action such as: she felt, he saw etc.
Then! I do a search for /be/ verbs to see if I can nix them by changing the sentence. Then! I search for words used too often or close together and manipulate the sentence to get rid of them.
I do a last read through after that, tweak it, and then I send it to the beta reader/editor if I have one for that project.
6. Who’s your favorite author?
I don’t know if I have an actual favorite author. I have favorite books whose author’s writing I enjoy, but I may not have necessarily liked other books by that author and so do not consider them my favorite...
Short answer: Garth Nix and Sherwood Smith are the authors of my favorite novels (both fantasy). Aya Shouoto, Rei Toma, and Julietta Suzuki have authored my favorite manga.
7.  How do you take critique?
With a lot of anxiety and trepidation, but I get over it after finally reading the comments. They’re never as bad as I anticipate. You’d think it wouldn’t scare me as much after having an editor/mentor nicely tear my writing apart. He’s improved my pros by leaps and bounds. Now critiques are more about how to improve my story or answer questions (which I prefer. plot holes bad) versus sentence structure and grammatical ignorance, which just made me feel stupid. Now, I’m a pro at pros ᕙ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕗ
Jk. I still get carried away sometimes, in which case my new editor gently reminds me to pull back on the overly ornate visuals.
8. Do any of your OCs have pets? If not, what pet would they want?
Carna has a pet wolf for a while. She also has a pet horse––kind of? Can I call a sentient being a pet? Carys has a pet fox for a bit. Hm. All three of those pets have a huge similarity. I need to be careful about repeating ideas in different versus. Then again, I get tired of having to remember to write in the pet, which is why they’re not exactly just pets. Oh! Melody has a pet duck! And it’s just a duck :3 Arthur from Frost of Avalon wants a pet dragon, but no one will let him have one.
9. How realistic do you like your worlds to be?
So long as I can see it in my head and process its function, I’m cool with a whole range of reality. I feel like, so long as the world building is solid and you make me believe in it then the world is realistic, even if it’s very not. I like writing these too. Though I’ve yet to actually delve into anything crazy aside from super awesome magical abilities and crazy god-like beings  ( ͡ºั ͜つ ͡ºั) I like them stupidly overpowered because I’m power hungry. It’s the only way I can live out my dreams of absolute domination, though I appreciate a good stipulation. Otherwise, some of my stories would end in a couple of chapters.
10. How many drafts do you intend on writing for your current piece?
Which one? Bearer of Power is probably on its 30th rewrite? But if we’re talking the one I’m most invested in right now, probably 2 or 3 depending on the author head and editor?
11. What writing advice do you have for other writers?
Write write write. Write about what you love and what you want to read, but be open to learn from those who know more than you. I mentioned earlier that I had a mentor/editor for a while. I wish I had one way earlier. I wouldn’t have had to endure some of the not so nice comments about my earlier pros if I had. But don’t let anyone tell you what to write. That’s up to you, and be careful about someone dictating your voice. Though I learned a lot from my mentor, our writing voices were very different, and I was on the verge of losing mine in his attempt to improve my writing.
Same questions.
I tag @vieliwrites @mvcreates @pilipalea
Sorry if you’ve done this one or don’t do tag games. It’s hard to tell sometimes.

Full WTL2021/BOSJ28 Final Card Announced; Shingo Wins Tokyo Sports MVP, O-Khan, Tekkers Win Awards Too; STARDOM WK16 Match Announced; RIP Jimmy Rave (12/8/1982 - 12/12/2021)
Tumblr media
NJPW have announced the full card for Wednesday’s event at Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan, with the finals of both the World Tag League 2021 and Best Of The Super Juniors 28 taking place here. This show will be live on NJPWWorld. Jeff Cobb returns to the lineup, which is a bit of a surprise, as does Shingo Takagi and Kazuchika Okada, as we begin the build to their match at WK16.
- 12/15/2021, Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan
Ryusuke Taguchi, Yuto Nakashima & Kosei Fujita v. Minoru Suzuki [SZKG], TAKA Michinoku [JTO] & DOUKI [SZKG]
Tiger Mask IV & Ryohei Oiwa v. Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo [Bullet Club]
Toru Yano [CHAOS], Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma & Master Wato v. Taichi, Zack Sabre Jr., El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru [SZKG]
Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima & Yuji Nagata v. Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens [Bullet Club]
Tetsuya Naito & SANADA [Los Ingobernables] v. Great O-Khan & Jeff Cobb [United Empire]
Shingo Takagi & BUSHI [Los Ingobernables] v. Kazuchika Okada & Robbie Eagles [CHAOS]
World Tag League 2021 Final: Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI [CHAOS] v. EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi [Bullet Club]
Best Of The Super Juniors 28 Final: YOH [CHAOS] v. Hiromu Takahashi [Los Ingobernables]
Tumblr media
Tokyo Sports announced their annual Puroresu Awards for 2021, and once again an NJPW wrestler is MVP. This time, the choice was the obvious one: IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Shingo Takagi, who really has been carrying this company in 2021. The only other candidate that was seriously considered was Keiji Muto, following his pretty amazing first-half of 2021, where he became the GHC Heavyweight Champion in NOAH and held it for a number of months. Indeed, the match he won it from Go Shiozaki became the first Best Bout to not be from NJPW or involve any NJPW talents since Jun Kasai v. Ryuji Ito in Big Japan on 11/20/2009 in the 2009 Awards.
Great O-Khan won this year’s Technique Award, whilst Dangerous Tekkers (Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr.) became the first NJPW tandem to win the Best Tag Team Award since Manabu Nakanishi & Strong Man (Jon Andersen) in 2010. They do both deserve recognition for being some of the few bright spots in the NJPW year as well, so good for them. Bushiroad’s other wrestling company STARDOM also garnered an award, with Utami Hayashishita winning the Women’s Wrestling Grand Prize for this year. You can read heavily kayfabed comments from the NJPW winners here.
Last year’s Award ceremony was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will see if it happens this year. The full list of winners are below.
MVP: Shingo Takagi, NJPW Best Bout Award: Go Shiozaki (c) v. Keiji Muto, GHC Heavyweight Championship, Pro Wrestling NOAH, 2/12/2021 Outstanding Performace Award: Jake Lee, AJPW Fighting Spirit Award: Konosuke Takeshita, DDT Technique Award: Great O-Khan, NJPW Best Tag Team Award: Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr., NJPW Best Newcomer Award: Yuki Arai, Tokyo Joshi Pro Women’s Wrestling Grand Prize: Utami Hayashishita, STARDOM Achievement Award: Rumi Kazama
Speaking of STARDOM, their match at WK16 Night 2 on 1/5/2022 has now been set. At their show on 12/12/2021, representatives from five units in STARDOM (Cosmic Angels, Queen’s Quest, Donna del Mundo, Oedo Tai and STARS) each drew a straw in the ring. Two of them color-coded blue, two red, and one with no color. The one who drew the uncolored straw was eliminated, which was Syuri, the SWA Champion, of Donna del Mundo.
So with that, the match will now be: Mayu Iwatani [STARS] & Starlight Kid [Oedo Tai] v. Tam Nakano [Cosmic Angels] & Saya Kamitani [Queen’s Quest]. It’s actually a good way to get nearly every unit represented in one match, and there will be drama between Iwatani and SLK, as SLK was forced to join Oedo Tai in a stipulation match earlier this year, but she has broken out in the unit, and is a full member now. Should be a fun match.
Tumblr media
James Michael Guffey, aka wrestler Jimmy Rave, died yesterday in Philadelphia at the far too young age of 39, just days after his birthday. Rave is best known for his time in both Ring of Honor and TNA, between 2003 - 2013, including feuds with AJ Styles, CM Punk, and others. Rave also had a long battle with drug addiction, which he was open about. Over the last year, due to various MRSA infections, Rave had not only his left arm (which prompted his retirement from wrestling in 2020) but both his legs amputated. The latter only happened this past October; a mere six weeks later and he was gone.
Rave only ever wrestled a handful of matches in NJPW in 2008, whilst part of TNA. He did take part in Best Of The Super Juniors XV, finishing third in B Block on 6 points (he beat Tetsuya Naito and AKIRA, plus 2 points for a forfeit by the injured Prince Devitt; his losses were to Tiger Mask IV and Koji Kanemoto.), tied with Koji Kanemoto, but Kanemoto had the head-to-head win. He would also take part in the IWGP Juniorheavyweight Championship tournament that took place the next month, but would be eliminated by Kanemoto there as well.
He leaves behind two kids from a previous marriage, as well as a fiancee, wrestler Gabby Gilbert. It’s a real shame how this ended. Our best wishes to his family, friends and loved ones.

Well this was a historic and interesting show, as at times it was like watching two completely different wrestling shows at the same time. First things first, the lion’s share of ROH stuff on here was... not good. ROH is a company that once had such a unique identity, that watching it now is so weird. Lets face it, without this relationship with New Japan, what identity would Ring Of Honor even have? Also the booking on here from the ROH standpoint, was a tremendous example of not knowing what your audience wants. Nobody in the sold out MSG wanted to see guys like Minoru Suzuki, Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto and others, wasted in the pre-show batle royal, and have nearly half an hour dedicated to a disinteresting Bubba Ray Dudley street fight, or a TNA nostalgia act, not to mention a Ladder Match, that whilst great, was horrendously over-long at 29:35. Also Matt Taven winning the belt seemed like a total anti-climax.
However, the NJPW stuff on this show was excellent. The pre-show Rumble was what you’d expect, it was mostly disinteresting, and it went on forever (42:21). The ROH guys got zero reation coming out, whereas the New Japan guys all got respectable to enormous pops, depending on who they were. The biggest responses were for Minoru Suzuki, Tomohiro Ishii and Jushin Thunder Liger, the latter of whom got the legend treatment. However, the biggest reaction was saved for the surprise appearance of The Great Muta! It was tremendous to see him, even though he moved like a glacier, he was in really good shape, and his exchanges with Liger got over huge. Kenny King won to no reaction, when he eliminated both legends. The first bout of the main show saw NEVER Openweight champion, Will Ospreay, take on ROH TV champion, Jeff Cobb, in a title for title match. This was great stuff, as you’d expect, but probably wasn’t as good as expected. They worked a great big guy/little guy style, with the added wrinkle of the big guy being able to fly too. The crowd was hot, the action great, and the stuff creative. The finish saw Cobb hit a top rope Tour Of The Islands, followed by a regular version, to win both straps in 12:52. This means Cobb defends the NEVER title against Taichi at the next NJPW show, which is quite the styles clash. Next, Rush squashed Dalton Castle in 15 seconds in what was an effective way to get the Mexican star over, but felt somewhat superfluous on this show, and Kelly Klein won the WOH title from Maiyu Iwatani in a profoundly uninteresting contest, with a horrendous post-match.
The never-ending Bully Ray stuff was next. I must admit, I was so disinterested, I went and did something else for a bit in the hope I’d miss this, and came back only to find it still going! What I did see was OK, at best. The show really wasn’t doing well at this point, with a single match worth a damn thus far, but it picked up considerably from here. The 3 way Jr Title match was excellent. Yes, it only went 8:54, and with even 5 more minutes, could have been outstanding, but it was still the best thing on the show up to this point, by far. The spots these guys did were mind-blowing, culminating in Bandido hitting a DOUBLE top rope Fall Away Slam into a Moonsault on both Lee and Ishimori, which blew the roof off the Garden. In the end, Dragon Lee won the title in an all-action sprint, when he pinned Bandido (not the defending champion) with Desnucadora. This was so good. Next up was the insane 4 way tag title vs. title match, with IWGP tag champs, GOD, taking on ROH tag title holders, PCO and Brody King, with the Briscoes and EVIL and SANADA thrown in for good measure. This was another wild bout, which saw PCO take the craziest bump of the weekend, that I saw anyway, when GOD gave him a double powerbomb out of the ring, and he landed hard on the concrete. This was insane, and I feared he may have been dead. Tama hit King with Gun Stun, then the Tongans won both sets of belts when they pinned him with a Super Bomb. I really liked this, it was an unhinged four-way brawl. The ROH guys, and even GOD, looked really good here, however EVIL and SANADA were literally just bodies going through motions here and if they weren’t in it, I’m not sure it even would have mattered. Toru Yano stole the IWGP tag belts in the post match, whilst the Enzo and Cass bullshit kicked off around ringside.
ZSJ successfully defended the Rev Pro British title against Tanahashi next. This was another excellent bout in their series, but coming after three crazy matches in a row, two of which were great, and with them working a considerably more methodical style, the crowd were slightly more subdued here. Despite the slow start, they finally won the crowd over, and Sabre retained after submitting the Ace with his new stretch he’s calling Yes! I am A Long Way From Home (which I believe is Mogwai reference) after 15 minutes of action. Tana was apparently injured in this somewhere though, which puts a bit of a dampner on things. Naito defended the I.C. Title against Ibushi next. What more can be said of matches between these two? Every time they get in there against each other, I’m fearful one, or both, might die. Which is never a great feeling to have when watching a wrestling match. Of course, the fact their matches are always out of this world good makes up for it slightly. But only slighty. This had loads of crazy stuff in it; Ibushi hit a snap rana on Naito off the apron to the floor, as well as that deadlift German off the second rope, which when Naito landed, his head snapped like he’d been thrown out of a car. They had a stiff strike exchange, before Naito hit a reverse rana and Destino for a great near fall. Ibushi battles back with a headkick, two Boma Ye’s, a Last Ride, and Kamigoye to win the Intercontinental title in decisive fashion at the 20:53. This was the right move to me, as with Kota part of the company full time, New Japan really should be positioning him at the top of the card, and Naito is already an established star (even if that star has fallen somewhat over the last year), so he isn’t hurt by the loss. Ibushi’s first defense is against Sabre Jr at the Sengoku Lord show in Nagoya on April 20th, which should be great. The ROH World Title Ladder Match followed. It too was excellent, and featured some incredible bumps, but it went on much too long, and Taven winning hardly invokes enthusiasm, it must be said.
Which brought us to the main event of the evening. This was an exceptional piece of drama, which took its time to get to where it was going. I’ve heard people complain about how the first half of the match wasn’t exactly scintilating, but it was all part of telling the story it set out to tell. It built to an incredibly dramatic climax, which saw, amongst other things, Jay White joining an incredible elite club of guys who have ever kicked out of a full on Rainmaker, probably the most protected finisher in the business. In fact, it took Okada four dropkicks and four variations of the Rainmaker to finally put Switch Blade away. After hitting a Blade Runner (which noticeably wasn’t kicked out of here), Jay went for another, but Okada turned it into a German Suplex. As the sold out MSG went crazy, and after a series of blocks and counters, Okada hit the spinning Tombstone and another Rainmaker to win his 5th IWGP Title at the 32:33 mark, and send everyone home happy. Honestly, Okada looked like the best worker on the planet (I mean, because he is. Even better than Kenny) and he put in a superstar performance here, doing everything to make White look like a star. To his credit, Jay carried his load well here too, and looked great throughout. At only 26 years old, the future is very bright for him too, but the title change was the right call I believe. Okada is still your franchise player, and whilst he doesn’t have a whole load in the way of fresh challengers, his main events are unequelled. Next up for him is a title defense against SANADA in Fukuoka on May 3rd, as he promised to Cold Skull after beating him to win the NJC. Their last match was a classic, so I see no reason for that not to be too.

This technical table is not detailed enough to show customers how competitive and powerful MS908P scanner is. Follow us in the below content, you will get what you like to know. It will be explained from nine major aspects.
1.Compact and lightweight design

2.Extensive vehicle coverage
If you’re a mechanic who deals with cars from different brands and year make, then you have nothing to worry about. This is because the Maxisys MS908P scan tool covers more than 80 vehicle makes and models in the USA, Europe, and Asia. Some of the popular brands include GM, Ford, Chrysler, Audi, VW, BMW, Toyota, Benz, Jaguar, Honda, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, etc.
3.Super fast processor
There is a big reason why Android is the most popular processor in tablets and phones. It is super fast and allows you to multitask. Since Autel Maxisys Pro MS908P diagnostic scan comes with an Android processor, expect this device to be extremely fast. It features Android 4.0 operating and has a robust Cortex-A9 Samsung Exynos 1.4 GHz processor which improves its speed. With a boot time of 20 seconds, this gadget is 5 times faster than similar scan tools on the market.
4.Large and clear TFT display

5.Auto-VIN technology
If you have CAN-enabled vehicles, using this device will not only be fun but also very fast. This is because Auto-VIN technology provides quick and accurate identification of vehicles. The data is shown is texts as well as graphs, thus making the analysis of results to be quick and easy.
6.Enough storage capacity
First of all, the MS908P comes with a 2GB DDR-3 RAM, which perfectly handles large numbers of files and supports live streaming without hanging at all. Moreover, it has a 32GB internal hard drive that offers enough storage space for clients’ data.
7.Battery recharge and long runtime
Unlike other low-end Autel scan tools that don’t come with a battery, you can rely on the MS908P diagnostic scan tool to provide you with off-car review analysis. It has a 11000mAH-3.7V battery. This battery can run for 8 continuous hours before requiring a recharge.
8.MaxiFix and Data logging
If you want to get solutions online or discuss some diagnoses with the Autel community, you can do so via the MaxiFix platform. Also, the data logging feature allows you to connect with the Autel technical team for more help
9.Internet updateable and warranty
Autel offers users of this product a one-year of free updates. After this period, you will have to pay a small fee and have free annual updates. In addition, it has a one-year warranty. This shows how Autel is confident in their product and they are willing to back up it with a warranty.
These nine points of explanation to MS908P scanner are all its advantages, but from an objective view, it still has its small limitations so far, but will be improved better with customers’ feedback and technical engineers’ hard work. Figure it out.
1.It is a little complicated to use and thus not very suitable for the ordinary DIYer or beginner mechanic to start or practice with. The Autel Maxisys Pro MS908P tool is only suitable for professional mechanics and technicians who understand the complicated operational procedures to follow.
2.It is very expensive and therefore, not suitable for ordinary car enthusiasts. The tool is great for busy car repair shops or professional technicians.
After all the discussion about this scanner, customers who want advanced, competitive, high-quality Autel diagnostic scanner that can compete against most of the car tools in the current market, can make your choice to have a try. Totally worth your money.

Tumblr media
