Who is the most powerful among the sisters in terms of power?

If by power you mean destructive ability, then tie between Pam (controlling fire, which on paper is already dangerous) and Violet (controlling water, which is an abundant resource once you start looking). Vi is capable of using her water such that no one gets hurt, but Pam not so much.

That’s why Pam is most often the getaway driver.

Also a question for Paulina: Based from the last post, how long can your power last while activating your suit? Because if using your power for about 10 minutes is enough to give you a headache, than I don’t think it could last that long

“At first we didn’t, because well, we didn’t need them when communicating with each other; but as time went on, we decided we should have codenames so we can have our sense of privacy, especially with the public starting to learn of our antics. As of now, we use the names of our cores’ gemstones as codenames.”

“That’s Diamond, Beryl, Ruby, Amber, and Sapphire.”

“My gemstone is emerald, but uh, for simplicity’s sake, I chose the codename Beryl. Same reason Colette’s name is Diamond instead of Pink Diamond. Can’t have any of us tripping over the names in high-stress situations, y’know?”

“To put it very simply, overly simply, even, my power’s mechanics and how it works involves a lot of math. So much so that even I, a Computer Sciences major, struggle to understand it sometimes. It’s just a stroke of luck that Tia Dolores can help me with it, since she’s more knowledgeable in physics than I am.

“The estimated ten-minute limit I mentioned earlier is also misleading, because that time comes from when I’m actively training with the suit, meaning when I’m using the suit’s powers extensively and pushing its limits. Normally, I don’t use my powers that much and for that long during missions, so if I need the suit to last an hour or more, I can totally adjust my approach to accommodate for that.

“When I’m training, I’m basically studying my powers and experimenting with what they are capable of doing, based on calculations I tend to do first on paper.

“Which, as you’d expect from trying to do a lot of math on the spot in your head, is mentally draining. My suit’s visor, while it helps me visualize the application of that math, sometimes also adds to the headache I get if I lose track of time and get too excited. The most mundane analogy I can give is that feeling at the end of a study session, when you’re too mentally tired to keep staring at the paper or the book or the computer screen and need to take five. Or ten. Or fifteen. Bonus points for me because I already deal with headaches on the regular, and being very familiar with the feeling doesn’t make it any better.”

“Let’s just say the fact that I can toggle the suit’s visor on and off as per what I need at any given time is a lifesaver.”

"Those suggestions, while flashy, are unnecessary supplements to their given capabilities. The suits are already designed to execute the tasks these tools are supposedly able to, with more efficiency and compactness than these supplements are capable of."

"Also, one thing I should clarify is that my suit's power isn't air, or the wind. It's more like... waves of psychic energy. They do act like the wind, and I do name my moves based on wind, but it's not wind."

"This just in: local Flying-type Pokemon has been exposed as a hoax. It turns out that they are not in fact a Flying-type, but a Psychic type."

"Nicky, you have yet to explain to me what that means, and Paulina isn't saying anything either. She just laughs when I bring it up."

What kind of training or exercise do you guys do?

"It's a bit embarrassing to admit, but I don't really do anything specific for training, eheheh..."

"Nicky does try dragging us into her workouts, but that works about as well as you'd expect."

"... If you'd like to call it that, I suppose. It's... not inaccurate, to say the least...

"I do lift weights regularly now, though, seeing that my power does require a bit of physical strength."

"As far as I know, Paulina trains, like actually trains. Probably because her power is so...."

"Oh, exercises? Well, besides the training I already do, I end up... reading a lot. Botany, mostly. Knowing what plant species I'll be dealing with in certain places does help, and anyway, it helps with my ecology major and my work with Green Mice, so win-win!

"Hot take, but if anyone would not be needing any training besides like, gliding, it'd be Colette. Her power is basically the Fus Ro Dah from Skyrim! You don't need training to punt something five meters away from you, let's be real!"

"My power's very flashy and destructive so uh, I don't really have a lot of places to practice in tiny Whale Island. One thing I do try is uh, fine motor control with my fire? Shooting fire in beams instead of in blasts like you'd expect with flashy fire powers? Mostly wind up training in the garage, but stuff gets really hot really quickly in there."

"You should be careful doing that, Pam. You never know if someone will walk in on you at the wrong time."

新生DOUBLEとして7月に活動を再開してから、ブレイクしまくりのTAKAKO。その彼女がプロローグアルバムをへて、ついにファーストアルバム「double」を完成。

「前に出した「Crystal」はいってたとおりプロローグ。いままでの私たちの成長過程も見れる序章的なアルバムだったから、『ファースト」とは呼びたくなかった。ファーストアルバムは、すみからすみまで納得いくものを出したかったんです。だから今回のが本当のファーストアルバムなんだ。That's DOUBLEみたいな(笑)。これぞDOUBLEってことでタイトル名にもしたの。ずいぶんデビューからたってるけど、気張ったカンジはなくてこれが私の音楽ってことでみんなに感じてもらえるとうれしいかな」

前回の「Handle」「U」のシングルをリリースしてから、間髪を入れずにアルバムの制作に突入したというTAKAKO。そのテンションの高い&勢いのあるまま作れたのでよかったと笑う。

「作ってみて思うことは、全曲すべて気に入ってるほどイイものができたなぁと。DOUBLEならではのR&Bはもちろんヒップホップテイストも入ってるしね。1曲目を「Handle」にしようと思ったのは、イントロがドラマチックだし、再会の曲ということでDOUBLEにぴったしだから。ファンの みんなお待たせーっていう思いで1曲目にしたんです。歌詞のほうもがぜん(笑)スキルアップしたので注目してください。本当に自分の子ど��みたいに「おーよちよち」ってかわいがるぐらいのアルバムだから」

For Paulina and Dolores: Since you guys are distant relatives, do you guys have moments where family bond is needed? Depending on the difficulty of a situation in or outside of fighting bad guys in general.

As for Paulina and her friends starting to become heroes, what made you decide on having them join and why?

“Tia Dolores keeps our relationship very… professional. She just called me on my phone one day, asked me to bring the girls to Falcon Peak to meet with her, gave us the suits and then sent us on a mission for her. She didn’t do it as brusquely as that— she did explain why she needed our help— but I didn’t really know her all that well prior.

“She’s never been the mushy type to openly show affection (from what I know anyway), or be interested in that. I just know her from the one or two family gatherings she did attend, and because she’s been financially helping Kaka (Pedro) and Ipa (Nidia) for the past�� five or six years?

“But other than that, I don’t really know much about her besides what she’s been caught up in for the past decade or so. From a business perspective, what with her nemesis Venena and their ongoing drama with the Cristallium. Personal details are few and far between, she’s not exactly intent on sharing, and how we're involved in all this doesn’t really lean into that.

“Whatever we need to know, she’ll let us know, and you don’t really need to know a lot past what we already know in order to get the job done.

“The girls weren’t a big fan of that initially— understandably so— and the resulting conversation is why she’s let us get a little more involved and given us more context to what we’re doing and why.”

”As for why we’re here with Pauly…”

“Ion know mate Dolores wanted all five of us to meet her, so we did.”

“We chose to stay and keep helping because, well, we were okay with helping out, and we believe in Dolores’s cause!”

“What can I say? Sounds like those Sinister Seven guys need a good dose of ‘no’ so they can take it as an answer.”
