SUNLIFE PH PRESENTS SUNPIOLOGY XONE

Sun Life Philippines and Piolo Pascual are making the SunPIOLOgy bigger and better this year with its goal of making Filipinos live a healthier life. The 11th SunPIOLOgy will feature Xones which includes Sun Life Virtual Run, Sun Life Cycle PH and Sun Life Resolution Run.

 “Sun Life aims to offer Filipinos more avenues to pursue their health goals. With SunPIOLOgy, we are able to make the pursuit fun and engaging through a variety of sporting events, while the charity component makes it more meaningful and memorable,” Sun Life Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa said. “We are thankful that as we mark 11 years of SunPIOLOgy, we continue to grow our community and effectively promote the importance of living healthier lives.” 

Sun Life Virtual Run: Run anytime, anywhere is a long-distance race that participants may complete anytime, anywhere. This new race encourage participants from different parts of the country to finish a total distance of 50 or 125 kilometers in 30 days. Runners can startegize on their own to complete the challenge. Their progress is tracked using a GPS watch, fitness band, running smartphone app or just by taking a photo and posting it on www.takbo.ph. 

Sun Life Virtual Run will be open until October 14, 2019 and will start on October 15 to November 15, 2019. Sun Life Cycle PH focused on Family bonding on wheels. Cyclists will tour from Bonifacio Global City to Pasay City. Tricycle Ride (100 or 500 meters) designed for children ages two to five; Kids Ride (30-minute Solo or Family Ride) for children between the ages six to 15; Short Ride (20 kilometers) for participants 10 years old and above; and Long Ride (40 kilometers) for participants 14 years old and above. Sun Life Cycle PH is open till November 22 and will take place on November 23, 2019. Register at sunlife.cycleph.com 

Lastly the Race against Diabetes continues at Sun Life Resolution Run. The increasing number of diabetes patients inspired organizers to strengthen this campaign. The Resolution Run boasts of 125 interactive Xones where runners can win electronic gift cards worth P1,250 that can be redeemed through Sun Life's partner stores. The starstudded Resolution Run is on January 18, 2020 to be held at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Registration will start on November 15. for more details visit www.sunpiology.com

Sunpiology Resolution Run Raises Over 5 Million for Charity

Sun Life Financial Philippines opened the year by rallying Filipinos towards health and wellness while raising over Php 5 Million for charity in its annual fun run, the Sunpiology Resolution Run.

Held last January 20 at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City, the event attracted over 3,000 runners, who tackled obstacles designed to raise awareness about diabetes. A limbo rock challenge reminded

everyone to keep their health in check, a 100-step challenge gave reminders on how to infuse exercise in one’s daily routine, while a sugar tunnel prompted everyone to watch their sugar intake.

Sun Life has been championing diabetes awareness since 2015, after studies that it commissioned showed that many Filipinos lacked knowledge about the debilitating disease. In fact, part of the funds raised will go to the Institute for Studies on Diabetes Foundation (ISDFI), which facilitates diabetes awareness and prevention initiatives for Filipinos.

Other beneficiaries are Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation, Hebreo Foundation, and the Star Magic scholars.

Now on its 9th year, the run was once again co-presented by Star Magic and led by actor and Sun Life brand ambassador Piolo Pascual. His fellow artists, such as Matteo Guidicelli, Enchong Dee, Robi Domingo, Kisses Delavin, Edward Barber, and Maymay Entrata also joined the event. Other artists were Ashley Colet, Bailey May, Belle Mariano, Chantal Videla, Christian Morones, Claire Ruiz, Franco Rodriguez, Hannah Ledesma, Hannah Lopez Vito, Henz Villaraiz, Jai Agpangan, Jameson Blake, Jessica Marasigan, Joe Vargas, Joj Agpangan, Kyle Velino, Lance Lucido, Loren Burgos, Marco Gallo, Maris Racal, Mark Rivera, Mikee Agustin, Nico Antonio, Nikki Valdez, Inigo Pascual, Pamu Pamorada, Raine Salamante, Ria Atayde, Sam Shoaf, Sam Thurman, Tommy Esguerra, Vivoree Esclito, Xia Vigor,nYesha LCamile, Ysabel Ortega, Zeus Collins and Zonia Mejia.

The event completes Sunpiology Duo, Sun Life’s bike-run event, which commenced last November 2017 with the Sun Life Cycle PH.
