Song Review: Satsang - “Everybody Knows This is Nowhere”

Unplugged and thus stripped of its stuttering electric guitar, “Everybody Knows This is Nowhere” loses much of its appeal in Satsang’s interpretation.

The Montana trio covered the title track to Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s 1969 debut during an appearance on “Sugarshack Sessions.” And while they play just fine, Satsang’s two-minute performance proves two things as the song sputters to a close without a solo: no one sings like Young; and the original arrangement was key to the track’s success.
