We should be able to show more of it before the end of the year. Adobe Substance 3D Stager Adobe Substance 3D Stager Overview Adobe substance 3D stager is a powerful and comprehensive staging tool that provides a wide range of creative 3D design tools for scene design and rendering. The VR mode also has crazy new ways of building stuff that can only be done in a VR context. which allows side by side staging of ammo in Product Description. It doesn't work like anything that's out there in desktop mode, but it's really fun and intuitive. Net sells AR 308 and AR 15 parts at lower prices than the Parts & Tools.

What we're trying to do rather, like for Painter back then, is to try a completely new approach to modeling and create an app that makes it really easy to get into, but at the same time provides enough depth that you can create high-end professional stuff with. The goal is not to create yet another poly modeling app, there is enough of that on the market already and it's not really interesting. such fuel is not available at military contract price at the staging base. Not sure how it could be priced more fairly. The collection plan with Stager, Modeler and more content will be 49.99 but is 24.99 for a year. Again, plenty of room for improvement down the roadįor Modeler, it's a different beast entirely. ( 2 ) Armed Forces Day ( 3d Saturday in May ) will be treated as a national. The texturing plan is the same price as the legacy Substance subscription. No shape scattering or hair support just yet. The tool is still young though, only a few months, so we have quite the road in front of us, including having more tutorials!įor the technical aspect, Stager uses a custom Vulkan based unbiased renderer and works on either GPU or CPU. The main advantages are how straightforward it is to get good results vs a traditional renderer and how it interacts with Painter/Designer (you can send models from Painter directly and it will retain all textures, shader settings, etc.). 2,658 Substance 3D models available for download in any file format, including FBX, OBJ, MAX, 3DS, C4D. It has a pretty wide range of use cases, from simple portfolio renders, to product design iterations and marketing material (ads) production in larger companies. Use Smart materials and have textures wrap onto your objects automatically, throw particles to easily add weathering effects with the help of the integrated physics engine or paint precise micro-details across complex asset. Substance 3D Painter adapts to you, no matter your skill level.

That's $5 more than the texturing tools only.Īs for the app itself, Stager is a tool for virtual photography. You will get free updates on Steam up to the end of 2022. what Adobe Substance 3D can do by downloading free trial versions of Stager, Painter, Sampler and Designer File size List of the materials : - Cave Rock. Right now you can get all the Substance tools (including Stager, extra content and Modeler when it comes out) for $25/month.

Ughhhhhh. So adobe is at it again. So for those who don’t know, Adobe bought the company Allegorithmic a couple years ago. Allegorithmic is behind Substance Painter, Substance Designer, and Substance Alchemist. These are industry standard 3D texturing apps. For two years Adobe has essentially left them alone until now.
Tumblr media
Starting with these godawful logos. Substance has always had red as their theme, and now it’s a lime green colour, in the Adobe Logo Style, which has made less and less sense as they kept coming up with/buying out other programs. What am I even looking at?
Tumblr media
For comparison, these are the old Logos (while my launcher updates stuff). Well designed, easy to differentiate. Adobe has also changed Substance Alchemist into Substance Sampler, because let’s not only make the logo bland, but the name too. They’ve also changed Substance Source to Substance 3D Asset Library. I need to wait for all this stuff to finish downloading and installing to check the UI differences, but they probably didn’t change too much. They better not have. However, the Logos aren’t the only thing that’s bothering me. For one thing there’s a lot of ignoring where this software came from. ‘Adobe created Sampler!’ Actually, Substance Alchemist was released before Adobe got into the picture and what we see now is after improvements.
And then of course there’s the pricing. Adobe introduced ‘Stager’ which is essentially a way to show off your 3D models with other 3D models. Don’t worry, they give you 3D models. How much to get Stager? Well for the first year, and a limited time, it’s $24.99/month. How much afterwards? $49.99. Okay, so you don’t want stager. Well for $20/month, you get Painter, Designer, Alchemist as well as Adobe freebies. Already paid your indie subscription? They’re offering a refund, however that refund makes me suspicious. Is the yearly still less than the monthly? Requires more research. Now of course some of you are going, “Well I have creative cloud, that means I can try this stuff out now!” Nope. While I appreciate that there is an option to get this stuff separately, Adobe will not be including their 3D package in the overly expensive Creative Cloud package.
Fuck monopolies.
