Gh'ray Gaurlein
The lore of Gh'ray Gaurlein
Full Name: Gh'ray Gaurlein
Pronouns: He/Him
Race: Au Ra
Origin: Dotharl Tribe, Azim Steppe
Background & Tribal Origins: Gh'ray Gaurlein hails from the Dotharl tribe on the Azim Steppe. Following the tribe's beliefs, he is not seen as a single individual but as a reincarnation of a warrior whose past knowledge and experience from previous incarnations have been passed down to him. This belief, coupled with his unrelenting pursuit of strength, has made Gh'ray a formidable and skilled fighter within his tribe. Known for his prowess and drive to face ever-greater challenges, Gh'ray eventually sought to venture beyond the Azim Steppe.
Journey to Eorzea: His quest for challenges led Gh'ray to Eorzea, where he would face unknown foes and test his abilities in new battles. His journey soon intertwined with the legendary tale of the Warrior of Light, taking him across Eorzea, The First, and later, the vast, uncharted lands of Tural.
Relationships: During his travels, Gh'ray encountered many individuals who would become his trusted companions outside of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, forming bonds that strengthened as they shared perilous adventures.
Finnur Ornedwesfv: While traveling to New Gridania to meet the Elder Seedseer, Gh'ray met Finnur, a talented Lancer who sought to improve his combat skills. Finnur, admiring Gh'ray’s strength, pleaded to join him on his journey, and the two became close companions. Finnur often challenged Gh'ray to sparring matches, hoping to hone his skills by learning from the best.
Esamae Dazkar: After the disaster at the Ishgardian peace conference, Esamae sought out Gh'ray and insisted on joining him in his quest to take down Nidhogg. Her resolve and determination earned her a permanent place in Gh'ray’s party, and she proved to be an invaluable ally in the battles that followed.
Myara Valentyne: Gh'ray's lover, Myara Valentyne, was a key figure in his journey through The First. Tasked with guiding him through the treacherous Fanow Woods, Myara chose to leave her clan and travel the reflections with him. Their deep bond was strengthened by their shared experiences and the promise of loyalty. However, their relationship comes with a heavy burden—Myara made a pact with Feo Ul, binding her to return alone to The First every few full moons. Despite the distance, their love remains strong.
Ventures in Tural: Gh'ray's adventures eventually brought him to Tural, a land filled with new dangers and political turmoil. He traveled with the disbanded members of the Scions to aid Wuk Lamat in her Right of Succession, becoming an ally in her quest to unite Tural. During this time, Gh'ray was paired with Lior Alubov, a Hrothgar warrior, and together they faced challenges that would prove their strength and faith in Wuk Lamat.
Personality: Gh'ray is defined by his fierce warrior spirit and relentless pursuit of greater battles. His Dotharl upbringing instilled in him a sense of duty and power, and his connection to past incarnations guides his actions. Though battle-hardened, Gh'ray values the companionship of those who fight alongside him, and his relationships with Finnur, Esamae, Myara, and others are deeply rooted in trust and loyalty. He also doesn't mind a cold and hearty brew to unwind from his days of adventuring.

Del'ryn Karkos
The lore of Del'ryn Karkos
Full Name: Del'ryn Karkos
Pronouns: He/Him
Race: Miqo'te
Origin: Ul'dah
Background & Early Life: Del'ryn has always been fascinated by magic, particularly the mysteries and power held by Black Mages. This thirst for knowledge shaped his early life, leading him to delve deeply into magical studies. His pursuit began in Ul'dah but quickly expanded as he set his sights on more advanced teachings.
Journey to Ishgard: Del'ryn's desire to uncover new magical depths took him to the Foundation in Ishgard, where he studied under the Ishgardian scholars. The city's vast libraries and arcane tomes fueled his curiosity for years, expanding his knowledge and understanding of the Black Mage arts. However, when Ishgard's resources grew thin and his insatiable hunger for knowledge remained unquenched, Del'ryn sought a new destination.
Old Sharlayan & the Students of Baldesion: Realizing that Old Sharlayan housed the largest and most extensive collection of knowledge in the known world, Del'ryn relocated there, determined to access the wisdom within. Upon arriving, he quickly joined the ranks of the Students of Baldesion, immersing himself in their libraries and archives. The treasures of knowledge within Sharlayan kept him occupied, but his quest for magical power and understanding only grew deeper with time. His studies led him to frequent exchanges with the gleaners, who gathered rare and ancient information from all corners of the world. Among these gleaners, Erenville became a notable contact, guiding Del'ryn toward his next adventure.
Tural & Meeting Lior: Erenville suggested that Del'ryn explore the far-off lands of Tural, an area filled with untapped knowledge, including ancient tomes and magical artifacts. Eager for new discoveries, Del'ryn traveled to Tuliyollal, the cultural heart of Tural. However, once he arrived, he quickly realized how unprepared he was for the local culture. The dialect and customs were entirely foreign to him, leaving him dazed and disoriented in the bustling markets.
Fortunately, a Hrothgar named Lior Alubov noticed Del'ryn's confusion and offered assistance. Lior, though not originally from Tuliyollal, had lived there long enough to understand the local ways and guide Del'ryn through the unfamiliar landscape. The two spent the remainder of Del'ryn's visit together, sharing conversations and developing a deep bond.
Personality: Del'ryn is a relentless seeker of knowledge, especially when it comes to magic and the untapped potential it holds. His drive to uncover the mysteries of the arcane has taken him across continents and into the depths of ancient libraries, where he spends countless hours buried in books and tomes. Despite his scholarly demeanor, Del'ryn is kind-hearted and deeply values the connections he makes during his travels.
Current Life: Del'ryn continues to travel between Old Sharlayan and Tuliyollal, splitting his time between magical research and his relationship with Lior. His thirst for knowledge remains unquenched, but his journey is no longer solitary.

Lior Alubov
The lore of Lior Alubov
Full Name: Lior Alubov
Pronouns: They/Them
Race: Hrothgar
Origin: Yak'tel, now residing in Tuliyollal
Background & Early Life: Lior Alubov was born in a Yak'tel tribe, a place where strength and combat prowess determined status and survival. From a young age, they were subjected to intense and brutal training. The elders of the tribe instilled in them the idea that victory must be achieved at any cost, even if that meant using tooth and claw to tear through an opponent. This philosophy shaped Lior into a fierce, unyielding fighter capable of dismantling any challenger.
However, the harshest test of Lior's resolve came when they were pitted against their own sister during one of the tribe’s brutal traditions—the ritualistic combat to determine the pride's strongest. As they fought, the relentless voice of their mother echoed in Lior’s mind, taunting them with accusations of weakness and inadequacy. Driven into a near-blind rage by this psychological torment, Lior fought with such ferocity that they unintentionally killed their sister in the heat of battle. This tragic event became a deeply scarring memory that haunts them to this day, creating a lasting reluctance to unleash their full potential in combat.
Escape & New Life: After the death of their sister, Lior could no longer bear the violent and oppressive nature of their tribe. Seeking peace and a chance at redemption, they fled Yak'tel and settled in the city of Tuliyollal. Far removed from their bloody past, Lior began a new life, determined to leave behind the savagery that once defined them. They found solace in this quiet life, striving to distance themselves from the fierce warrior they were once forced to be. Relationship: When Lior first moved to Tuliyollal, they had an unapproachable aura that made forming friendships difficult. One day, while walking through the bustling market, Lior noticed a Miqo'te with blue hair looking lost and confused in the crowd. Though Lior usually kept to themselves, they saw that this stranger needed help. Introducing himself as Del'ryn, the Miqo'te explained he was from Eorzea and was struggling with the linguistic differences in Tural. Feeling pity for him, Lior decided to assist him, guiding Del'ryn through the market and helping him with the regional dialect change. They spent the day together, sharing a meal and connecting over conversation. This initial encounter blossomed into a relationship, with Lior always available to help Del'ryn whenever he returned to Tuliyollal from Old Sharlayan.
The Right of Succession: Despite their reluctance to fight, Lior's skills in combat were undeniable, and their prowess caught the attention of Wuk Lamat, the daughter of the Dawnservant. As the year of the Right of Succession approached, Wuk Lamat sought fighters who would help her achieve her vision of a more unified Tural. Lior, moved by her ideals, agreed to aid her in the contest. Though initially the only warrior to pledge their support, Lior soon found themselves facing a formidable ally suggested by Wuk Lamat’s childhood friend.
That ally was Gh'ray Gaurlein, a towering Au Ra warrior from Eorzea—a rare sight in Tural. Lior was immediately intrigued, as they had never encountered a fighter taller or seemingly stronger than themselves. Gh'ray, equally interested, agreed to a sparring match before the Dawnservant. Both warriors sought to prove their worth to Wuk Lamat while testing each other’s strengths. The match was a spectacle of raw power and restraint, as both fighters held back for personal reasons. For Lior, it was the fear of losing control again, as they had with their sister. For Gh'ray, it was the weight of his own experiences as a battle-hardened veteran.
Alliance with Gh'ray Gaurlein: Despite the measured intensity of their sparring match, it was clear that Lior and Gh'ray were evenly matched and would make invaluable allies for Wuk Lamat in her quest. The two warriors, each with their own burdens and reasons for holding back, formed a mutual respect. Together, they vowed to accompany Wuk Lamat through the Right of Succession, standing as her guardians and champions in a contest that would shape the future of Tural.
Personality & Growth: Lior is deeply conflicted by their past. While they possess immense physical strength and combat expertise, the trauma of accidentally killing their sister holds them back from fully unleashing their abilities. As a result, they approach battles with caution, often holding back to avoid repeating the same mistake. Despite their hardened exterior, Lior harbors a gentle side, seeking peace and redemption for their past actions. Their relationship with Del'ryn has brought them some healing, allowing them to experience the gentler side of life, but the trauma of their past still lingers.
As they continue to fight alongside Gh'ray and Wuk Lamat, Lior must confront their demons and learn to balance their warrior’s spirit with the compassion and restraint they now value.

Determined to escape Garlemald's control, Finnur fled with his younger brother, carrying him to safety. However, during their escape, they were caught by a Garlean soldier. Though Finnur had only rudimentary combat skills at the time, he managed to fight off the soldier, allowing them both to slip away. The battle left him with the lost of his left eye and a scar, serving as a permanent reminder of the encounter. Vumi later thanked him by bringing a basket of fresh produce to the Twin Adder's barracks, sparking their ongoing relationship. Finnur now spends his free time helping Vumi in her garden, sharing a peaceful life between their adventures.
He is also best friends with Mihka Kaamte, the boyfriend of his party mate, Esamae Dazkar. Despite the chaos they cause, the three share a strong bond, and Finnur continues to respect Gh'ray deeply.
Personality & Aspirations: Finnur's determination to protect those he cares about is at the core of his personality. His earlier experiences taught him the importance of strength, and he constantly strives to improve his combat abilities. After meeting Gh'ray, Finnur begged him for a sparring match to test his skills and prove that he could defend his loved ones. Though Gh'ray easily bested him, the experience fueled Finnur's desire to join Gh'ray's party and grow as a fighter. He continues to spar with Gh'ray, and while he knows he may not win, each challenge brings him closer to his goal of becoming a stronger protector.
Current Life: When not on the battlefield, Finnur leads a quiet life with Vumi, tending to their garden and enjoying moments of tranquility. His mischievous friendship with Mihka often leads to lighthearted moments of chaos, but his loyalty to his friends and loved ones is unwavering. Finnur's growth as a fighter and protector is ongoing, and his determination ensures that his journey is far from over.

Mihka Kaamte
The lore of Mihka Kaamte
Full Name: Mihka Kaamte
Pronouns: He/Him
Race: Lupin descendant (reminiscent of a Husky)
Origin: Ul'dah
Background & Family: Mihka was raised by his two adoptive fathers, Zhivko (a Hrothgar) and Xaelun (a Viera), alongside his adoptive sister, Rowan, who is also a Lupin descendant. His early years of life have become a mystery to him, not that he holds much interest for it anymore. Growing up in Ul'dah, Mihka was taught the value of hard work and family. To support his fathers financially, he took up mining, selling the minerals he unearthed to local artisans. His dedication to his family is a core part of who he is.
Relationships: Mihka is romantically involved with Esamae Dazkar. Their relationship began by pure accident when Mihka traveled to Old Sharlayan to sell his ores. Completely turned around and lost, Mihka wasn’t watching where he was going and ended up stumbling—literally—over Esamae, who was sitting under a large tree. His goofy and lighthearted nature charmed her immediately, and they shared a profound conversation about how people’s impact on your life remains, no matter how brief their presence. This conversation solidified their connection and led to their relationship.
Personality: Mihka is known for being an air-head, often oblivious to his surroundings, but he possesses an unexpected depth, especially when it comes to discussing tough or uncomfortable topics. His ability to switch between being playful and thoughtful makes him unique. However, his mischievous side often gets him into trouble, especially when he teams up with Finnur, his best friend and fellow troublemaker. This playful duo frequently frustrates Esamae's party mate, Gh'ray.
Current Life: Mihka continues to support his family through mining but is also exploring the possibility of joining the main party. However, he’s still uncertain about what specific role he would take. His relationship with Esamae deepens as they navigate life together, and his friendship with Finnur remains a source of fun—and occasional chaos—within their group.

Esamae Dazkar
The lore of Esamae Dazkar
Full Name: Esamae Dazkar
Pronouns: She/Her
Race: Dragon Kin
Origin: Dravanian Forelands, Dravania
Background & Family: Esamae was born during the early years of the Dragonsong War alongside her twin brother, Ariq. From a young age, the siblings were trained to fight in tandem—Ariq as a tank and Esamae as his protector. Together, they mastered powerful magics that allowed them to shapeshift into forms resembling the Au Ra, a race more accepted by the neighboring city of Ishgard. Esamae used this form to blend in and gain knowledge of the world beyond her draconic upbringing.
The Loss of Ariq: As they reached early adulthood, Esamae and Ariq found themselves on the battlefield during a fierce conflict. In the chaos of war, they became separated, and when the fighting ceased, Esamae discovered her brother’s lifeless body against the rocks. This loss devastated her, and she has never forgiven herself for not being more vigilant. From that day forward, she vowed to protect her close allies at all costs, never letting them out of her sight during battle.
The End of the Dragonsong War: Years later, Esamae heard rumors of a "Warrior of Light" working to end the Dragonsong War. This news gave her hope that her brother's death might not have been in vain. Determined to witness this monumental moment in history, Esamae attended the peace conference between Ser Aymeric and Vidofnir, where she saw Gh'ray Gaurlein, the Warrior of Light. To her surprise, he was an Au Ra—the very form she had adopted to walk among humans—now being revered by the Ishgardians. After Nidhogg’s attack on Vidofnir, Esamae rushed to offer her healing skills to Gh'ray and his companion, Finnur, who gratefully accepted her help.
Post-War Life: Following the end of the Dragonsong War, Esamae continued to support Gh'ray as a member of his party, offering her protection and healing whenever called upon. As dragons and Ishgardians coexisted in a tenuous peace, Esamae found solace in her dual identity. When not traveling with Gh'ray's group, she spends her time in Old Sharlayan, delving into research and expanding her knowledge of the world.
Relationships: Esamae was originally engaged to Cynfael, a vampire, choosing him largely for the practical reason of their shared long lifespans. This arrangement lacked deep affection and was more about convenience than love. However, while relaxing in Old Sharlyan one day, Esamae’s life took an unexpected turn. Mihka Kaamte literally stumbled upon her, and their chance meeting sparked something more. Mihka helped Esamae realize that the length of time someone spends in your life is less important than the impact they have. This insight led Esamae to understand that Cynfael never truly loved her, prompting her to end the engagement. She and Mihka began a genuine, loving relationship that has since blossomed.
Current Life: To this day, Esamae remains a trusted companion of Gh'ray and his allies, traveling with them as needed and pursuing her scholarly endeavors when the opportunity arises. Her bond with Mihka and her deep commitment to protecting her loved ones keep her grounded as she explores both her draconic heritage and her place in the larger world.
