I don't like Maugris or TGT in general but here's some random angst I imagined after reading TGT the first time

1. Call going to a museum and seeing a painting of someone Maugris knew/was close to

2. That person also being someone Maugris stole the body of, despite being close to them or caring about them, because he wanted to survive

3. The authors actually doing something with the parallels between Aaron and Jericho

4. Aaron in Alex's body angst

5. Call waking up from a nightmare about the most fucking traumatic history event ever and not really being able to do anything about it because most people will look at you like your insane if you just wake them up and tell them you remember dying to the black death and so can't sleep

6. Ghosts

6.5. specially Alex's ghost

7. Aaron wakes Call up at like three am to say he just punched a mirror because he thought his reflection was Alex and now his fist is bleeding and he needs help

8. Alistair finding out about Maugirs and finally having the relief of knowing it wasn't really his friend who did all of that

9. Kimiya slowly realising Alex isn't himself anymore but not knowing why he's changed or why he doesn't want to talk to her anymore or like her anymore

Dawn, Winter, reconnaissance. Elain walking underhill in mortal wedding pearls, Lucien at her back. A heaved sigh, Jurian’s head oh so briefly dipped. “Wars and weddings, my lady. Blessings.” “When you were our age, humans couldn’t marry.” “Nor does he believe in any damned gods,” Nadia crossed the room fae quick, expression wicked as the guard flinched, stopping right alongside Nesta. A test, twofold- Nesta didn’t pull a knife as Nadia had once taught her, the legionnaire didn’t start in on violence without orders. “Don’t believe the prayers, unless they’re bloody.”
