BIKER!SUKUNA X NURSE!READER
Tumblr media
tldr: sukuna is the leader of a feared bike gang that's known for being the strongest. but what happens when the strongest finally loses? sukuna is sent to the hospital in critical condition and you are his nurse...
tw: mentions of violence and blood
wc: 1.4k
A/N: see above image to understand what a "bunny apple slice" looks like. plz tell me yall know what im talking about or else ill feel very sad and goofy :(

Sukuna constantly finds himself in fights due to his blunt (and frankly asshole-y) attitude. He leads a motorcycle gang called the “Curses”. Truth be told Sukuna would’ve much rather the group be devoid of the cringey name, but Uraume already made matching motorcycle stickers for everyone.
Sukuna’s brash actions got himself into another fight. This wasn’t just any fight—he had picked a clash with a gang called the Arashi.
Earlier that week, they had been engaged in a shady deal that Sukuna had stumbled upon. His interference had been straightforward—he had dismantled their operation with little regard for the fallout. The Arashi, feeling publicly humiliated and threatened, had taken it personally.
Now, as Sukuna faced the Arashi members, it was clear this was different than a usual brawl. They had come ready for a real fight, bringing weapons and even a stolen car in an attempt to run Sukuna over.
Despite his peak physique and fighting experience, Sukuna couldn’t withstand the impact of a car.
By the time his gang members, Kenjaku and Uraume, arrived, the Arashi had already fled, leaving Sukuna badly injured at the bloody scene. They rushed him to the nearest hospital, worried about his condition.
Two days later, Sukuna awoke in a hospital bed, groggy and disoriented. The sterile smell of antiseptic and the beeping of medical equipment were overstimulating. His mind raced as he tried to piece together his predicament. It didn’t take long to realize the extent of his injuries. His spine was severely damaged due to the car crash, and he would need extensive physical therapy in order to recover.
“Get me the fuck out of here” he spat, glaring at both you and the doctor. “I don’t need this place.”
“Sir, you need to stay put,” you say, clearly unaffected by his outburst. “Your injuries are severe. You could do lasting damage if you don’t follow the treatment plan.”
Sukuna’s gaze turned to you. You were a university student interning as a nurse at the local hospital. You had already witnessed several of his outbursts since he woke from his coma, and was tired of his attitude.
Although Sukuna remained quiet after your remark, you could feel his glare drilling into the back of your head as you left the room.
Five days passed with Sukuna refusing to participate in physical therapy. Uraume and Kenjaku visited frequently, trying to convince him to stay and cooperate, but he wouldn’t budge.
On the eighth day, you tried.
“You’re not leaving until you’re well enough. Your spine is damaged. Physical therapy is essential for a full recovery.”
Sukuna’s eyes narrowed. “I don’t need this hospital to fix me. I’m fine.”
Ignoring his hostility, you pressed on. “If you leave now, you’ll only prolong your recovery or make things worse. . We both know that you haven’t been able to regain all control over your left leg.”
Sukuna grits his teeth at the truth of your comment. The only reason why he hasn’t run away from the hospital in the middle of the night was because he physically couldn’t. He could barely make it halfway to the door before collapsing.
Deep down, Sukuna knew that physical therapy was the logical choice that was in his best interest. But partaking in physical therapy meant admitting his vulnerability, it would be on display for everyone to see. The biker gang leader Sukuna was supposed to be invincible. He’s not supposed to lose. He can’t lose. What was he if he wasn’t the strongest?
“No person can beat a car going 40 mph at them,” you said softly. “Even the strongest.”
“I don’t need your comfort,” Sukuna said, looking away. Still, you had said exactly what he needed to hear. “Fine, sign me up for physical therapy… I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to try.”
For the first time, he sees you break into a smile. You look as if you won the lottery or someone just told you Santa was real or both. “How odd”, he thinks, “how can you smile so easily just from hearing those words?”
The first physical therapy session was challenging. When you touched Sukuna’s left leg to guide him through an exercise, he instinctively pushed you away, causing you to fall.
Sukuna opened his mouth to speak, but before he could say anything you apologized. “Sorry I didn’t ask for your permission for physical contact. I apologize if that made you uncomfortable. Here, let's try another exercise and I’ll be sure to avoid contact.”
Sukuna begrudgingly followed through, but he was confused. Why did he open his mouth to speak? What was he going to say? Was he going to apologize for pushing you? Did he feel sorry? Did he not mind your touch?
The days that followed were a mix of reluctant cooperation and gruff acknowledgment. You continued to work with him, and your patience provided a stark contrast to his abrasive demeanor.
He grumbled through physical therapy, the exercises painstaking and his pride wounded. But as days turned into weeks, he began to see the value in your persistence. Your care wasn’t just about the job; it was about his well-being. Even though he was too proud to admit it, Sukuna respected your dedication to even an asshole like him.
One evening, after another grueling therapy session, Sukuna caught you staying late, tending to his needs despite your shift ending hours ago.
“Why do you keep staying late?” he asked, curiously. “Don’t you have a life outside of this?”
You looked at him, a small smile playing on your lips. “Because someone has to make sure you don’t screw up your recovery.”
Sukuna’s gaze softened slightly. “You’re a pain, you know that?”
“And you’re not exactly a pleasure to be around,” you retorted playfully.
One afternoon, an author visited the hospital to read a picture book about a bunny. As you walked Sukuna back from his physical therapy session, you noticed him eyeing a display of bunny plushies set up for the event. He thinks of how the bunny sort of looks like you.
Noticing his interest, you teased him. “Want one of those bunny plushies? I could get one for you.”
Sukuna turned his head, trying to keep his usual stern expression, but there was a faint blush creeping up to the tips of his ears. He takes a moment to collect himself before giving you a deadpan look, though it was clear he was trying hard not to smile. “No, I don’t need a stuffed bunny.”
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes internally. “Sure, whatever you say,” you retort.
Later that day, as part of your routine, you brought Sukuna his usual apples for a snack. But today, you had taken a bit of extra time to cut ears into each apple slice so they look like rabbits. Although Sukuna’s pride wouldn’t allow him to keep a fluffy bunny plushie, hopefully he would accept the rabbit shaped apples.
You left the plate in his room while he napped. When Sukuna saw the apple bunnies, his face turned a deep share of red. “I thought I hid my interest in the rabbits well,” he muttered, abashedly.
His usual cool demeanor cracked, and he couldn’t hide his embarrassment. He stared at the apple bunnies, his eyes softening as he realized the effort you had put into them.
As Sukuna sat there on the hospital bed, munching on the apple bunnies, he couldn’t help but feel a strange mix of warmth and awkwardness. Sukuna found himself lost in thought as he munched on the apple slices shaped like little rabbits. He started imagining what it must have been like for you while you were preparing them. The cuts weren’t perfect—clearly an amateur’s attempt—but the effort you put into carving those bunny ears made Sukuna feel oddly touched.
He pictured you scrunching your nose in concentration, much like you did when guiding him through difficult physical therapy exercises. Or maybe you had a proud, toothy grin when you finished, similar to the one you wore when you beat him at whatever board game you guys were playing that day.
He looked at the remaining apple bunny slice on the plate and buried his blushing face in his hands. He just fell in love.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has launched the Electronic Central Motor Registry (E-CMR), an innovative system designed to eliminate the need for motorists to stop for vehicle verification. This development aims to enhance road safety and streamline policing processes.   According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the E-CMR system was introduced under the leadership of Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, and will allow for the digital registration of vehicles, ensuring quicker response times in emergencies.   Read Also: What is Police e-CMR? Requirements and How to Register Online Osun Police Arrest Suspected Yoruba Nation Members, Recover Exhibits Adejobi shared the update via a series of posts on X, highlighting the system's potential benefits, particularly the ease and efficiency of "e-policing." He noted that motorists no longer need to carry physical documents, as officers will now verify vehicle information in real-time using advanced technology.   “If your vehicle is registered with the NPF E-CMR and gets stolen, you can instantly flag it as stolen through your online profile,” Adejobi stated, adding that all field officers nationwide will be alerted immediately, increasing the chances of a swift recovery. Pay Attention To: NECO Releases 2024 SSCE Results, 8,407 Candidates Involved in Malpractice The introduction of the E-CMR is part of a broader effort to modernize Nigeria's vehicle registration system, reduce paperwork, and enhance security. It is also expected to help the police tackle vehicle theft by flagging stolen vehicles based on the information provided by vehicle owners.   Although enforcement of the system was initially scheduled to begin on July 29, 2024, the Inspector-General of Police suspended the rollout to allow for a nationwide awareness campaign about the system’s benefits and functionality.   Adejobi reiterated that the E-CMR would improve vehicle safety and security, including motorcycles, by digitally collecting and managing vehicle data.

Unlocking the Benefits of Vehicle GPS Trackers
In a world where knowing the exact location of your vehicle can be a game-changer, vehicle GPS trackers have become an indispensable tool. From ensuring safety to optimizing logistics, these devices offer a range of benefits. Here’s an in-depth look at what vehicle GPS trackers can do for you and why they’re worth considering.
What is a Vehicle GPS Tracker?
A vehicle GPS tracker is a device that uses the Global Positioning System (GPS) to monitor and report the real-time location of a vehicle. These trackers can be installed in cars, trucks, motorcycles, or any other type of vehicle to provide precise location data and various other insights.
Key Benefits of Vehicle GPS Trackers
Enhanced Security: The primary advantage of a GPS tracker is improved security. If your vehicle is stolen, the GPS tracker can provide real-time location updates to law enforcement, greatly increasing the chances of recovery.
Fleet Management: For businesses operating a fleet of vehicles, GPS trackers are invaluable. They allow you to monitor vehicle locations, track route efficiency, and manage driver behavior, leading to cost savings and improved operational efficiency.
Improved Safety: GPS trackers can alert you to unsafe driving behaviors, such as speeding or harsh braking. This feature is particularly useful for parents monitoring young drivers or for companies aiming to enhance driver safety.
Maintenance Alerts: Some advanced GPS trackers monitor vehicle health by tracking engine diagnostics and alerting you to potential maintenance issues. This proactive approach helps prevent breakdowns and extends the life of your vehicle.
Insurance Savings: Many insurance companies offer discounts for vehicles equipped with GPS trackers. By demonstrating a commitment to protecting your vehicle, you might qualify for lower insurance premiums.
Peace of Mind: Whether you’re concerned about theft, tracking a teenage driver, or simply keeping tabs on your vehicle’s location, vehicle GPS tracker provides reassurance and peace of mind.
Choosing the Right Vehicle GPS Tracker
When selecting a GPS tracker for your vehicle, consider the following factors:
Real-Time Tracking: Ensure the tracker provides live location updates and accurate mapping. This feature is crucial for effective monitoring and timely responses.
Geofencing Capabilities: Geofencing allows you to set virtual boundaries around specific areas. You’ll receive alerts if your vehicle crosses these boundaries, helping you keep track of its movements.
Historical Data Access: Some trackers offer access to historical location data, which can be useful for analyzing travel patterns and planning routes.
Battery Life and Power Options: Depending on your needs, choose between battery-operated or hardwired trackers. Consider battery life and maintenance requirements to ensure reliable performance.
Additional Features: Look for trackers with extra features like speed alerts, emergency SOS buttons, and maintenance reminders. These can add extra layers of functionality and convenience.
Conclusion
A vehicle GPS tracker is more than just a tool for monitoring location; it’s a powerful device that enhances security, efficiency, and safety. Whether you’re managing a fleet, safeguarding a valuable vehicle, or seeking peace of mind, a GPS tracker offers numerous benefits that can make a significant difference. Invest in a quality GPS tracker and experience the advantages of real-time location tracking and vehicle management.

Fixes and Shifts
About 15 years ago when I was living in Spanish Harlem in NYC I bought a carbon fiber road bicycle. It was the kind of bike I wanted terribly as a kid. We used to drive two hours to Rapid City and I'd stare at the $1k+ bikes they had for sale at Scheels in the mall. It was a Specialize Paris Roubaix Compact. I rode it constantly when I lived in the city.
I had owned it maybe three weeks and I commuted from my apartment on 110th to the office I worked at on Wall St. I was riding on the West Side Greenway with my hands in the drops (for some stupid reason) and there were a lot of other people out. I wasn't paying as much attention as I should have been and didn't have as much fine control at that point in that riding position. Another cycling commuter and I crashed head-on. I went head-over-handlebars and came down on my helmet and right shoulder. I don't even think the impact knocked him down; he was riding an old, beat-up steel everything mountain bike. It probably weighed twice what my ride did and was the kind of thing you wouldn't care too much if it got stolen.
The shoulder hurt like hell but I was miles from my apartment, the bike was in ridable condition, and I didn't want to walk in clip-ons or call a cab so I slowly rode home, not able to put much of any pressure on that shoulder. Hurting the next day I went to the ER, where an x-ray turned up no broken bones. It kept hurting so an MRI followed. Diagnosis: small labral tear. Treatment: for some fucking reason, just physical therapy and no surgery.
Fast forward 15 years. I've just turned 40 and am closing in on two years sober, having swapped my carbon road bicycle for a 3 cylinder 900cc Yamaha motorcycle. My shoulder still bothers me, and has at a low level for all of the intervening years. I can many times very accutely feel where the tear is, and with moderate exercise (shoveling three or four inches of snow for example) or if I move just right or lean against a wall or door jam too long it hurts.
A new MRI and evaluation, because I want to put 20k miles on my Yamaha this year, I want to go back to Ontario camping, and I want to hike more. Can't have this keep lingering, and recovering and body upkeep is only going to get more time consuming as I keep getting older. Also, its fucking cold here in mid Michigan, and the days are short. It was -1F when I woke up today. If I'm going to have a useless right arm for a couple months now is perfect time.
Tear is still there, with some arthritis sprinkled on top. I'm having surgery this time, scheduled for the day after I get back from a work trip to Corporate. My pre-op appointment is in 10 days, at which time I'll know how long recovery will be. Could be in a sling for a week, could be a month. Sorta oddly hoping for the month because I want them to not just clean up stuff, but actually anchor and repair the tear.
This change is leading to another. Cleaning up who I follow and what I post, and blocking some followers I think were bots the whole time but left around so I'd feel better about myself. I still have no memorized idea of what the rules and culture are here anymore. I'll be reblogging political posts a lot less. maybe just liking them more. Shift toward riding and moto culture, with stars/astronomy, and animals. Those three represent the longest held, most continuous interests I've managed to sustain in my life, along with two or three sci-fi universes (Dune, Star Wars, and Battletech). Best I can do with my ADHD-addled mind.
Looking for a new pharmacy where I can get generic Vyvanse consistently. Meijer isn't going to carry it for at least six months because they aren't nationally cost competetive for the available supply, per one of the pharmacists where I get my stuff filled. Also going to finally see about that professional autism screening. I've taken two or three self tests/evaluations that float around online and I've come up with positive results on each one.
Here's to changes, and learning how to do a lot more with my left hand.

youtube
Free Police Pound Recovery for Accident and Stolen Vehicle for Comprehensive Policy Insurance holders.
Motors Recovery insurance policy allows us to recover and transport third-party vehicles on behalf of their owners from a police pound for the accident, PG9 or stolen vehicle.
Your vehicle may not be ready for collection for up to 8 hours after the time of seizure. Section 4(4) (c) of The Regulations state that in order to secure the release of a vehicle seized under S165A RTA 1988, the registered keeper or owner of the vehicle must claim it from the Police compound on or before the specified date, which must be at least seven working day from the date of service of the seizure notice. Both the Form 3708 seizure notice, issued to the driver by the seizing officer and any subsequent notice letter, issued by the Pound staff, state that the vehicle must be reclaimed within seven working days. However, in accordance with Section 7(2) (a) of The Regulations, the police cannot dispose of a vehicle until at least fourteen 14 days have elapsed, starting from the date of seizure.
Vehicles impounded or seized under Section S165A Road Traffic Act 1988 (RTA) if a police officer has grounds to believe that a vehicle was driven in contravention of Sections 87 or 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 –
Driving a vehicle on a public road without valid motor insurance or driving licence is criminal.
Normally the owner or registered keeper of the impounded vehicle must attend the pound in person to reclaim their vehicle, per Regulation 5 of The Road Traffic Act 1988 (Retention and Disposal of Seized Motors Vehicle) Regulations 2005.
By attending the pound in person, the pound staff can meet their statutory duty to establish ownership, driving entitlement and the validity of any motor insurance policy.
This statutory requirement for the owner or registered keeper to attend in person can be waived if there is a valid reason why they cannot comply, for example, if they are:
 ·        In custody.
 ·        Out of the country ( a copy of flight tickets )
·         In hospital.
·         Unable to travel to the pound due to age, sickness, injury, immobility or disability.
·         Unable to attend the pound due to other exceptional or compassionate circumstances, which will be considered on their merit.
Under these circumstances, a third party may be permitted to reclaim the Vehicle on behalf of the registered keeper or owner.
The third party must provide the following:
As listed above, there is some documentary evidence that the registered keeper cannot attend in person for a valid reason. The pound staff must be satisfied that the registered keeper or owner is not trying to avoid attending in person due to a driving disqualification or because they are of interest to the police.
A signed letter of authority from the registered keeper of the owner permitting the third party to reclaim the vehicle on their behalf.
Proof of identity and signature from the registered keeper or owner.
Valid proof of ownership, a valid certificate of motor insurance and a valid driving licence for the policyholder and the third party.
The motor insurance policy must be valid for the third party to reclaim an impounded vehicle on behalf of the registered keeper or owner. Confirmation from the insurer may be required.
In order to claim a vehicle, the owner or keeper must first produce valid proof of identity and then satisfy all the four requirements set out in Section 5 of The Regulations. The following mnemonic can summarise this process:
 POLICE
P – Person Identity check (Photo ID)
O – Owner or registered keeper (Proof of ownership)
L – Licence to drive
I – Insurance certificate
C – Check the validity of documents and details given
E – Expedite the release of the vehicle
However, if a person fails to satisfy any of these requirements, then the release of the vehicle will not be authorised.

Recover Lost Vehicle with Explosoft GPS
Vehicle theft is an unfortunate event and heartbreaking situation for everyone. Statistics from the Insurance Services Malaysia, 3,993 motorcycles, 2,981 private cars and 426 commercial vehicles were stolen in 2020. Averages of 20 vehicles were stolen daily in 2020 according to VTREC - Vehicle Theft Reduction Council.
Prevent Vehicle Theft
Most car break-ins and vehicle thefts are crimes of opportunity.  Here are some simple security tips/advice, some best tools and devices to prevent your vehicle being stolen.
Always Lock Your Vehicle. Make sure you keep your car locked even when you are driving. And, lock the windows too.
Turn the Car Off. Even if you are just going into a convenience store for a quick errand, do not take the risk. A thief can just jump in and drive away your car.
Put away valuables like laptop, mobile phone, briefcases, etc. Better still take them with you when you leave the car.
Never leave key or hide spare key or key fob anywhere in or on your car.
Park Smart. Park in a well-lit area. At night, avoid parking in a dark location.
Audible Alarm. The blaring of an alarm and flashing lights will scare off the vehicle thieves in some cases and draw attention to your vehicle being stolen
Use Physical Anti-Theft Devices
Steering Wheel Lock - This visible device preventing the wheel from moving can deter thieves from even trying to steal your car.
Brake Lock -. The device makes it impossible for the pedal to be used until the lock is taken off.
Tire Lock or Wheel Clamps - Having a tire lock or wheel clamps will ensure safe parking for your vehicle without any worry of vehicle theft or unauthorized towing.
8. GPS tracker - Install a GPS tracking device in your car. It helps you to track your car if it gets stolen. With the GPS data, the chance of recovery is much higher. Next, please refer to the following contents on how GPS tracker and GPS tracking system work together, to safeguard your vehicle and fight against vehicle theft.

The first day of December brought Steve’s twentieth birthday and Billy’s first snowfall.
It was a Saturday, so Robin, Heather, Billy, and Steve took off work, quit studying, and spent the day in Robin’s dorm, drinking hot chocolate spiked with peppermint Schnapps, stupid party hats on their heads.
Steve had been doing better lately, spending two hours a week with a therapist covered by the school’s insurance. Some days were better than others, and on the days he couldn’t cope, had slipped and forced fingers down his throat, he came to Billy, and they wrapped themselves around each other and Billy rubbed his back and let Steve cry and told he wasn’t mad, he wasn’t disappointed. He would hold Steve’s hand as he called his therapist, as he quickly told Natalie that he slipped. He would force Steve into one of his own sweatshirts and tell him that he was proud of him for being honest, that it was all part of recovery.
Robin had begun decorating her room for Christmas, a small plastic tree covered in lights, tinsel strung around the room, and had even placed a menorah on the window sill, candles unlit. Steve had laughed and hugged her tightly when he saw it.
“I told Dustin I was thinking of staying here for break, and I think he had an aneurysm.” Steve was sipping at his spiked hot chocolate, wrapped up in one of Robin’s many extra blankets, her room still devoid of someone else. He loved any excuse to get dressed up, had spent probably hours on his makeup, his hair steadily getting longer as his dad wasn’t around to tell him to get it cut. He had on a green faux velvet dress, with gold polka dots. He was wearing black tights and had stolen Billy's black motorcycle boots, the ones with fur lining Billy bought when he realized that it gets cold in New York. “He said I could stay with him, so that I don’t have to see my parents, but I don’t think they’re gonna be in town anyway. They haven’t come home for Hanukkah in like, five years, and so they’re not gonna go out of their way to come home for Christmas.” He looked bitter. “But I do kinda feel bad ditching the kids. They were sad I wasn’t around for Thanksgiving.”
“You know I’ll be around there, too. Honestly, though, Hawkins sucks for you, and the kids would understand. Plus, your therapist is here, which is as good an excuse as any. I bet that would chill Dustin right out.” Steve nodded at Robin’s words.
“You goin’ home for break?” He directed at Heather.
“Oh, yeah, my parents are so excited for me to come home. It’s gonna be a pretty nice visit, I think.” Heather was very close with her parents, the opposite of Steve’s, rich folks that had a kid because they loved each other and wanted a baby, not just because it’s what they’re supposed to do. Not just because their marriage is falling apart and they want something that may fix it, something to blame if it doesn’t. “You’re staying here, right Billy? Did Public Safety get back to you about allowing you to stay in the dorms?”
“Yeah, they did. Max is pissed off at me, hasn’t talked to me in like, a week, but I think she understands. It’s not like I’d be      welcome     at home. She said Neil’s been okay to her, but he’ll get drunk and start going off about how ungrateful I am, that I walked all over him or some shit.” He rolled his eyes.
“You didn’t tell me you were staying here.” Steve’s eyes were wide. “You love Christmas! You’re gonna be all by yourself!”

Not Where I Thought...
I certainly did not plan for my life to be what it is now. Alcohol has robbed me from those plans becoming a reality. I almost made it! I had moments in my life where I felt I was where I belonged and doing what I was supposed to. My ten month period in recovery was the first time I felt that way in a long time. Now look where I’m at... I’m thirty-four years old living in the same bedroom I grew up in most of my life. I have no job or real income (had a business, but that’s another story), no driver’s license, no vehicle (work van and tools were stolen while I was in jail), no... clue what the hell I’m going to do for sure. I am, however, grateful for the blessings I do have.
It’s important that I remind myself that I put myself here. Sure, alcohol was the fuel to flames that has been my burning demise, but ultimately, I DID THIS! I can’t blame my childhood, ex girlfriends, the mean bullies I faced in school, or anything else exocentric. Nope. It was me.
I sure wish I would have changed years ago when I first realized I had a serious drinking problem. I was about twenty-two years old, give or take. I received my first drunk driving at that age in an attempt to flee from the police on a motorcycle. Well, I actually did manage to get away, but my dumbass decided to do a victory lap through town. I lost control navigating a turn and hit a rock hedge straight on. My bike and I landed in a funeral home yard! I was badly bruised, cracked some ribs, sprained an ankle, and had a concussion, but otherwise I was fine. I could be spending my life in a wheelchair or paralyzed from the neck down. Now, THAT sure should have been a wakeup call, but it wasn’t. In fact, my second drunk driving was less than a year later, on a motorcycle, and I blew a 0.29 BAC then. My record is 0.38 during my second to last arrest (its been a busy year). Nothing I’m proud of, but an impressive number nonetheless.
The worse part about having an addiction is the pain and suffering you put your loved ones through. Embarrassment comes a close second, but after awhile, that doesn’t seem to bother you as much. The things you used to be ashamed of have become expected of you at some point. For example, nobody that knew me was surprised when I’d smell like alcohol in the mornings. I was a drunk and everyone knew it. I didn’t even try to hide it anymore.
At least in my instance of addiction, I know I never meant to hurt anyone. Even when I knew I was doing my loved ones wrong, I didn’t care. I did care, but not enough to stop what I was doing. I NEEDED alcohol, and if people couldn’t understand that, fuck’em! That’s not in reality how I felt, but that’s how it was.
The Story I’ve Created
But I digressed... The point of this particular blog, or post, or whatever the hell this is called (totally new to the blogging world) was to express and vent my frustrations with my current situation in life. If you know me personally, you’d understand exactly why I’m so bothered.
I am capable of great things and generally a good person. I have come to believe that most addicts are, and that is one of the contributing factors in our hell that is addiction; we suffer because we feel and we care enormously! Anyway, I’m smart, fairly hansom, caring, and compassionate. At least, I am when I’m sober. I’ve done remarkable things! For example, I started a successful construction venture shortly after graduating Business School. I’m a talented musician, I love to write, and I’m not half bad at art (primarily sketching). I’m a hard-worker. I’m in touch with my spirituality. Girls like me. People in general like me. I like the real me. But I’m not myself, as it is with most addicts, when I’m days deep into a well of whiskey. I suppose there must be the exception. I’m sure that some addicts are just assholes, using or not, but not most. I’m definitely not.
And that’s why this is so frustrating for me. I know my capabilities. Hell, I can’t even count how many times I’ve rebuilt my life from the ashes up! Most people couldn’t do that! And here I am, having to do it again. How many more times, though? Do I have another one in me if I fail again? Please, GOD, LET THIS BE IT!

09/05/2020 DAB Transcript
Ecclesiastes 10:1-12:14, 2 Corinthians 8:1-15, Psalms 49:1-20, Proverbs 22:20-21
Today is the 5th day of September welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I am Brian it is great to be here with you as we reach the end of another one of our weeks together, this the first week of September, although we haven't lived a full week of September yet. We’ll begin our first full week of September tomorrow, but here we are moving forward step-by-step day by day and it's great to be here with you as we release another week, allow it to become a part of our history and consider all that God has spoken to us through His word in this week, which has been a lot. We’ve been working through Job, Ecclesiastes, working in…into and through the wisdom literature of the Bible. So, it's been an incredibly enlightening. So, let's continue. Let's continue our journey by taking the next step forward. We’ve been reading from the New International Version this week, which is what we will do today. Ecclesiastes 10, 11 and 12 today.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your word. We thank You for another week in Your word and we thank You for all that You bring up in a year in Your word. You touch every part of our lives. And, so, we open ourselves up to the things that You're touching now, the things that You are bringing us through as You bring us through the different territory in the Scriptures. And, so as this week comes to a close, we release it, we let it go, it becomes a part of our memory, it becomes a part of our history. We are here now, and You are leading us forward and we are grateful beyond words. No matter what we have endured, no matter what we have gone through, no matter what the days bring us, no matter how hard they are we are breathing. You have given us the breath of life. We are here. And sometimes we lose sight of that because of what we’re enduring, and we think it's bad when it's good, it's life, it's a gift. And, so, we take this moment to acknowledge that with a grateful heart. Thank You for letting us be year now. And as we look to the future, we see only You there. We don't know what we might face but we see You there and that's what we need to know, You are there and You are here and You are God, And, so, come Holy Spirit as we move forward together. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Community Prayer and Praise:
Hi guys this is Dave from Colorado. So, here I am, I was driving through Laramie Wyoming on my way home and just feeling a little disconnected and alone, isolated. You know, I am heading home but I do still have quite a ways to go. But yeah, I was listening to the podcast and a prayer came on for all the truckers. And I don’t know who you are sister, but that timing could not have been any better. For what it’s worth, it certainly lifted my spirits and, I don’t know, it’s kind of uncanny the way God works. But anyways thank you. I just want to say thank you for that prayer. That was really awesome. And also, my brother Mark Street, I want you to know that you’ve been in my prayers. I hope everything’s working out well for you. Keep us posted brother. All right family. I love you all and I’ll talk you all later. Bye.
Hello DAB family my name is Michael from Sarasota Florida and I’ve been listening since May of this year and the reading by Brian and thank goodness for Brian and his ministry. It has profoundly opened my eyes in my heart to God and the Bible. It’s August 29th and this reading in particular brought me to tears and resonated with me so profoundly, I can’t explain. But there are things going on in my life that I need this community and prayer. Brian, I want you to know that I love you and I will be here for you tomorrow and I am so thankful you are here for all of us. Thank you DAB family.
Candace from Oregon praying along now with my DAB family. Lord Jesus, King of all creation, beautiful Savior, Sovereign Lord, heavenly Father, Abba, Holy Spirit, we cry out to You Lord. We cry out to You on behalf of our amazing brother Mark Street from Australia. Would You be very near to him right now as he struggles with the recovery from a stroke? Would You heal him? And most of all would You just be incredibly close to him, speaking to his heart and mind and soul every step of the way? I pray Lord that You will be with Daniel Johnson Junior from Cleveland Ohio and that similarly You’ll be with him every step of the way as he looks to You for provision, for employment, for full employment in their family and provision. Lord, we know that nothing is too difficult for You. Be with my friend Beth Andre who is very, very week in fourth stage colon cancer. Lord, help us to keep our eyes on You no matter what. We love You so much and we’re so grateful to You Lord.
Hey, DABbers this is Katie in Kentucky and I’ve mentioned before that I often listen when I’m out running which is going on today. It’s Sunday, August 28th and I was out today listening to all the prayer requests and God just brought back to me something that happened years ago, and I just felt led to call in and share it as an encouragement. I was going through a time where I was working at a church camp and I was being moved to another church camp and I was concerned about everything I put into the first place and moving on. And I saw this beautiful sunrise and then I turned a corner and it like changed and it was like this…almost like this second beautiful moment. And what God spoke to me then was something beautiful happened in the past, I’ve got something beautiful coming up in your future too. And, so, I just wanted to share that encouragement for everybody who’s maybe going through changes and you don’t know how it’s going to play out or something is ending in your life and you’re looking at how things are going to change and move forward. God sent something beautiful in the past and there’s something beautiful and miraculous and wonderful around the corner that he’s gonna bring again. So, I don’t know who all needs to hear that, but I just felt God leading me to call that in and share it. And I know that I actually personally needed that reminder as I’m looking at some changes as well. So, I love you guys. Every prayer request that’s played I’m just…my heart’s bursting for you and, yeah, I love you guys and I’m praying along with you. Bye.
Hi Daily Audio Bible this is Carolyn here. This is my first time calling in, but I’ve been a listener for years now. I just really need prayer. I am the caregiver of my father, moved both my parents in with me a year ago and my mom was in hospice care and passed away in January. My only sibling passed away two months later in March and my father is understandably depressed but even more so he’s just angry and miserable and he doesn’t seem to see that he needs to be cared for and can no longer live on his own. He’s getting ready to turn 92 and I’m just exhausted mentally, spiritually. I just feel like I’m under attack. All the peace and joy has been stolen from my home and I just want to surrender it all to God and to just stop feeling this way. So, if you could please just say a prayer for me. Thank you all. Love you Brian.
Hello, DABbers I am a new listener. I called in earlier to pray for some people and now I’m calling to ask for prayer for myself, A New Day in Florida. It’s been really hard during these times. I lost my husband in a violent motorcycle accident four years ago and then my mom the year after him to Alzheimer’s and then when we had a storm here in Florida, Erma, I actually fell and broke my ankle and had to have surgeries to install hardware and I don’t have children. I have a sister but since my mom’s death we’ve been kind of estranged. We’re working on it. But I feel very alone, very alone and I am just asking for prayer that the Lord would fill those places for me. I have a number of things I have to do on the house, repairs and renovations and I’m just so lost without my husband and how to do these things and attack them. So, I just want to ask for everyone’s prayer and thank you so much. I…I was so blessed to have stumbled across this app and God bless…
