Mikhail Kolyada has withdrawn from Russian Nationals due to still recovering from sinusitis surgery. He has been replaced by Ilya Yablokov.
Ksenia Stolbova and Andrei Novoselov have withdrawn as well, due to a leg injury of Novoselov. They have been replaced by Anastasia Balabinova and Alexei Sviatchenko.

I go away for a long birthday weekend and Russian figure skating implodes... Kolyada, Zabiiako/Enbert, Stolbova/Novoselov, Zagitova are all out or Russian Nationals, Liza is landing a 4T3T and getting her Youtube channel (?) hacked, Ted is giving us worldwide coverage of the Russian Nationals (by far one of the most exciting competitions of this season) and the Russian adults are all crazy drunk on power, ego, and money.

Wishlist for Russian and Japanese Nationals
Is it wrong if I say more drama in the Russian fs? ‘cause at this point I’ve stopped caring and I’m just enjoying eating popcorn and watching that clusterfuck. It’s more entertaining than competition at this point.
I want Kaori to win so badly, especially since she did not make it to GPF (damn IdF ice!), but Rika will probably be the National champ this year. If she’s clean, I can’t see anyone able to beat her.
Dream podium would be Kaori-Rika-Wakaba
For Wakaba to skate two clean performances, and just be able to deliver the content we know she’s capable of
I want Mana Kawabe to do well. Excited to see if she’ll go for the 3A
For Mako, Yuna and Marin to have a good competition
Above all I want Yuzuru to stay healthy. No injury please. Otherwise I’m less invested in the men event. Excited to see Daisuke competing. Hoping Shoma will have good skates, cause he really needs it rn. Fingers crossed my two faves, Kazuki and Koshiro will do well, and maybe clinch the bronze.
For RusNats, oh my, where to begin
I desperately want Zhenya to podium but I have already made my peace with the fact that it’ll be extremely unlikely so here’s to hoping she’ll be 4th
For Ksenia Sinitsyna to make the top 6, and for Sofya Samodurova to stay in the top 10 (quite pessimistic about her chances, we’ll see).
On one hand, I want Kostornaia to win this, but on the other hand I want to see Trusova land all her quads, and just skate clean (because that amount of falls is not good for my heart), so...
Dream podium Alena-Sasha-Zhenya, please, skating gods, pleasepleaseplease
Give Tarakanova the PCS she deserves 2k20
Also for Konstantinova to have good skates, because poor girl really needs them and if she again manages to make it to National team, for Euros and/or Worlds, well that will be funny :D
I’m gonna be cheering for basically everyone here, but a lil bit harder for Zhenya, Sinitsyna, Nastya T, Sofya, and Stasya
Also among all the Russian ladies, junior and senior, Sinitsyna has the best SP, fight me
Let’s hope Aliev will podium.
Curious to see how overscored Samsonov will be
But really the Pair event is what I’m here for. Sadly with Zabiiako/Enbert and Stolbova/Novoselov the field will less competitive than I thought.
Tarasova/Morozov please go clean and win this, because with two beautiful programs this year it would be a shame
Curious to see how the GPF results will affect Boikova/Kozloskii scores, and again if they will be overscored as they were at Rostelecom
for my babies Pepeleva/Pleshkov to finally have two clean skates
Dream podium would be Tarasova/Morozov - Boikova/Kozlovskii - Mishina/Galiamov
How well Panfilova/Rylov will do. Last year they were in the bottom. But this year they’re the JGPF champs, and it will be interesting to see how RusFed ranks them against Kostiukovich/Ialin

“ I want Ksenia Stolbova and her new partner Andrei Novoselov to slay everything next season! She has the best skating skills in the world and I’m so glad she is willing to keep trying after all these setbacks. I really want to see her standing on Olympic ice in 2022. Also she has the best costumes ever and she’s so pretty so it’s impossible not to love her. “

rostelecom pt. 2
men
i feel like brezina is just doing whatever he wants at this point which like, he’s a singles skater nearing 30, he deserves to have fun and live his best life tbh
tomono’s moulin rouge fs was great. excellent choreo
nam is a ray of sunshine and i love him
i don’t care much for deniss’ fs but he is also a ray of sunshine
side note: i love watching stephane in the knc. he’s so sweet. and also hot.
ladies
i really liked hongyi chen’s and alexia paganini’s fs
ryobova, too
other skaters were also there i guess
dance
did anyone else feel like the french kinda ripped off vm’s carmen?
the only thing i feel watching skoptcova/aleshin's fs is an intense desire for it to be over
allison and salius' fd was so good i'm so happy for them 😭😭
the only good thing the polish team has done this season is choose those pants for natalia
hurtado/khaliavin's fd was really good. they've improved a lot and i'm happy they got bronze
how tf is chock/bates' fd the best scored fs of the season (excluding p/c obviously)? i can't believe i'm saying this but @russia you guys need to politick harder
pairs
i retract my previous statement about lu/mitrofanov. i was in too good of a mood yesterday and was too optimistic about them
i do feel like walsh/michaud have what it takes to get there eventually
i really liked stolbova/novoselov’s sp and fp. sad that all of that had to happen almost at the end of their program
congrats to the germans tho!
i’m no fan of tarasova/morozov (candyman is forever burned in my mind) but i do love me some marina choreo. also their lifts are bananas.
boikova/kozlovskii not only winning and undeniably becoming russia’s no.1 pair but actually scoring higher than sui/han at cup of china omg
the rivalry we deserve
also they were super cute in the knc lmao

Stolbova Teams Up With Novoselov, Klimov Retires
Stolbova Teams Up With Novoselov, Klimov Retires
A week after announcing the end of their partnership, Stolbova has a new partner, while Klimov has signed out.
Four years ago, Ksenia Stolbova & Fedor Klimov first fought their way onto the Russian Olympic team, helped Russia win team gold, and then surprised for the silver in the pairs individual. They delighted fans then, showing everything they needed both technically and artistically to be…

2019 Rostelecom Cup Overview
Entries: http://www.isuresults.com/events/fsevent03111936.htm
Results: http://www.isuresults.com/results/season1920/gprus2019/index.htm
Live stream: https://www.youtube.com/user/SkatingISU (geoblocked), NBC Sports Gold (geoblocked), this post for more info
We have only two weeks left on the Grand Prix circuit, and we come to week five. This week, we go to Moscow, Russia for the Rostelecom Cup.
Schedule
Nov. 15: Men’s SP 14:00; Rhythm Dance 16:00; Ladies’ SP 18:30; Pairs’ SP 20:30
Nov. 16: Men’s SP 13:30; Free Dance 15:40; Ladies’ FS 17:30; Pairs’ FS 19:45
Withdrawals and Replacements
In Pairs, Juulia Turkilla and Mathias Versluis of Finland withdrew due to injury and were replaced by Jasmine Tessari and Francesco Fioretti of Italy. In the Ladies event, Loena Hendrickx of Belgium withdrew due to injury and was replaced by Emmi Peltonen of Finland. Laurine Lecavalier of France withdrew for medical reasons and was replaced by Nicole Schott of Germany. In the Men’s event, Vincent Zhou of the US withdrew for personal reasons and was replaced by Daniel Samohin of Israel.
GP Debuts
Vladimir Litvintsev of Azerbaijan makes his debut in the Men’s event, along with Makar Ignatov. In the Ladies event, Ekaterina Ryabova of Azerbaijan makes her debut, along with Yuhana Yokoi of Japan. In the Pairs event, Kseniia Stolbova and Andrei Novoselov of Russia make their debut as a Pair, though they have both competed on the circuit with other partners. In Ice Dance, Anastasia Shipileyva and Gregory Smirnov of Russia also make their GP debut.
Grand Prix Final Qualification
In the Men’s event, there are a few skaters who can clinch a spot in this very open competition. Nam Nguyen of Canada and Alexander Samarin of Russia both need to place at least second. Dmitri Aliev of Russia needs to win in order to qualify, but a second-place spot would put him in contention, but he would have to wait until next week to know for sure.
In the Ladies event, Alexandra Trusova is a guaranteed qualifier. She needs only to medal (and she’s the gold medal favorite by a long shot). Satoko Miyahara of Japan needs to place at least second to qualify, and Mariah Bell would need a win to qualify. While that is not happening, if she places second, she does give herself a shot, but she’ll have to wait until next week to know for sure.
In Pairs, Alexandra Boikova and Dmitrii Kovlovskii of Russia need to only of medal to qualify. Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov of Russia need to win to qualify, though if they place second they might have a shot, they would need to wait until next week to know for sure. In Ice Dance, Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier of Canada need to medal to qualify, as do Viktoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov of Russia.

Note
I've been waiting for some skating chaos, I just didn't think we'd get it all in one day. WHEW.
I think this day delivered your chaos and then some... Interesting to see how things will shake up, we basically have Harley Windsor, Alexander Korovin, Alexa Knierim and Alisa Efimova on the market for a pairs partner. There’s also Andrei Novoselov but it’s hard to know what his plans are now that Stolbova retired, he remained silent.
