It took every ounce of self control Vladimir did not have to keep from snapping the piano keys beneath his fingers in half. His brothers voice had that teasing edge he reserved for when he wished to see Vladimir lose his cool.

Tonight he craved peace.

“A rare rose,-” Stefan circled around him, but Vladimir did not look up from the keys until his vision swam in a blur of black and white. “But not without thorns” The keys did not snap, they were crushed. Milled into fine little pieces he had to dust off of his pants as he stood up.

Hey Romanian boys, I heard you met Caius’ son by coincidence, what did you think of him? You must have liked him at least a little, seeing as you tried to recruit him.

This question is for the Romanians (because I don’t speak to tyrants. Sorry Voulturi).

Anyhow, I wanted to ask for your opinions on the novel Dracula by Brahm Stoker. Is it accurate to Romanian culture and vampire folklore? Speaking of which, how much of that was inspired by or influenced by the two of you? Dracula as a character has a backstory that sound suspiciously similar to Vladimir’s.
