i do think that in another universe i would’ve become just like, hopelessly obsessed with ultrakill. alas, my inability to play FPSs* (or like, look at footage of them without feeling ill) cut down any potential fixation, but other than that.. ugh. the lore. the style. the themes. the immense amounts of swag. what a good game.
*not a skill issue**, i just have simulation sickness
**well, partially a skill issue i guess. delighted a friend the other day when i revealed to him that i play ultrakill like a stealth game

Vindictive Drive 2 is now available for early access!
Tumblr media
Vindictive Drive 2 is a tech-noir stealth action game presented by Bal Dev at Bokensha Studio. Its story is depicted via graphic novel format.
Summary
Eight years have passed since Arris Fern's bloodthirsty quest for revenge. As a consequence of her actions, a bio-mechanical organism known as the Biokernel begins to devastate the planet. The story follows Arris as she endeavors to fix the unfolding catastrophe, grappling with the challenge of avoiding a return to her old habits and becoming the target of vengeance this time.

Get the game on Steam here!
I've been following Bal Dev since the initial release of his game, War of Existence. There is a lot of detail, hard work, and love put into his games. He has shown exponential growth into everyone of his releases and is working hard to provide players the best version of his game. Highly recommend for those that are fans of visual novels, tech noir/futuristic settings, and stealth based games!

In HEARTRENDER, all weapons you carry are summoned on the spot, built out of Eris and her obsidian flesh. First among them is the Overture: A powerful, accurate and elegant piece that's a perfect fit for a maestra like yourself... with a few secrets to be shown later.
Tumblr media
HEARTRENDER has dozens of different pieces of equipment called "petals". They fall under three categories: Guns (self-explanatory), casts (anything that is thrown out or otherwise produced like grenades and discs of light) and oddities (miscellaneous powers that range from utilities like invisibility to showstoppers like freezing time and harnessing volcanic might). Rather than deciding on a "build" and sticking to a methodology for the rest of the game, you'll learn to flow between whatever's available and, against all odds, make it work.

I kinda wanna make a PVE tactical shooter where the characters including the PC react realistically to damage (as in they coil over clutch the wound, shot limbs go limp sometimes, and instead of a health bar you get symptoms of bloodloss/specific organ damage that kind of thing) but then you also get an adrenaline value.
So going slow and boring you get good aim cuz your heart is beating slow and you don't bibber like a lathe with an unbalanced load. The downside is you get a single good hit your PC might get stunlocked.
But if you go fast and fun to keep your adrenaline high, you can just tank stuff and run to the level exit before you bleed out. The downside is it's incredibly dangerous. Like you'll have to go even faster than the adrenaline gauge requires to actually fulfill all level goals and even then you have a good chance of bleeding out from a few body shots. But that's where the fun starts. Cuz levels get a timer
