1. Current status of the project - remember this includes connection to the brief
The current status of the project is that after resolving the frustrations of my last presentation, I have been investing more time and effort into catching up on the project. I am currently working on prototyping considerations and may consider building an actual model to more clearly demonstrate and crystallise my ideas. It has been a very busy week at work as I will be giving a 302 presentation next week and will need to create a PowerPoint and edit the presentation to ensure that I am able to adequately prepare and deliver this presentation. Given my experience with my last 301 presentation, I am serious and determined to ensure that I achieve a better outcome and fit closely with the requirements of the project.

2. what tools/technologies you are considering/using
For the preparation of the presentation, I am using Canva to create a PPT, which is a handy online design tool that helps me to create attractive slides.
I am also conducting secondary research to gain more information by searching for news and research on the dairy industry and greenhouse related issues in New Zealand. Secondary research is a useful tool to provide more background knowledge and supporting data for my presentation to ensure my content is more persuasive and credible.

3. what are the strengths and weaknesses of these tools
In summary, Canva is a powerful tool for creating visually appealing presentations, especially for those without advanced design skills. However, it may have limitations compared to professional design software. Secondary research is readily available online, with vast amounts of information at your fingertips, but it may not always provide the specific data or insights needed for a unique project; secondary research can provide quick access to a large amount of information, but the researcher must be cautious about the quality of the source and potentially outdated data. The advantages and disadvantages of each tool should be considered in light of the requirements of a specific project.
4. what current challenges do you have
Realigning the plan is one of the main current challenges. Firstly, Plan C does not meet expectations: I mainly reflected on the fact that the third plan (Plan C) does not currently meet the direction and requirements of my vision, and when I shared it, it raised questions about its effectiveness and usefulness.
 Secondly, the complexity of realignment; if I decide to move to Plan B and realign it, this will mean that the original plan will need to be reworked. This may require additional time and resources to ensure consistency and effectiveness of the plan.
 I would then have to face time management challenges, and realigning the plan could have an impact on the time management of the project, especially given the tasks that would follow such as preparing and creating PPTs for the 302 presentation. It may be a challenge to manage these tasks effectively with limited time.
 Finally, ensuring the effectiveness of the plan and, when realigning the plan, careful consideration needs to be given to how to ensure that the new plan better meets the needs and objectives of the project so that it will be successful when it is finally implemented. Addressing these challenges requires careful planning, time management, and flexibility. Realigning the plan was to ensure a better outcome in the end and although it may have entailed some extra work, it also provided me with the opportunity to improve and innovate.
5. what are you going to do to resolve these challenges
In order to address the challenges I have faced, in particular the need to realign the programme and improve Programme C, I will conduct a thorough review of Programme C to identify its shortcomings and inconsistencies with the project objectives. This will include a critical analysis of the Programme's components and potential gaps. Then refine Plan B: Given my keen interest in Plan B, I will endeavour to redefine and refine the plan to make it more in line with my vision and the requirements of the project. This may involve exploring new perspectives or approaches to make Plan B more effective. I will continue to conduct in-depth research to gather the necessary information and data to effectively support the adapted plan. This will include keeping up to date with relevant industry trends and insights.
I will maintain a flexible approach, understanding that program adjustments are a natural part of the process. Adjusting and iterating as needed is critical to overcoming these challenges. By following these steps and committing to continuous improvement, I am confident that I will be able to address the challenges at hand and align my plans more effectively with the project goals.
6. what part of the project has made you smile/happy
The part of the project that has made me the happiest and most satisfied is the moment when I see my ideas and research come together to form a clear, innovative plan. When you find a solution or approach that fits perfectly with the project goals, it's the "Eureka!" moment. In addition, I find joy in the learning process. Every new piece of information or insight gained during the research process gives me a sense of accomplishment and deepens my understanding of the project topic.
In essence, the creative aspects of the project, those moments of inspiration, and the continuous learning process were the parts that kept me smiling throughout the process.
7. what part of the project has made you sad
What has made me sad and frustrated during this project is that I have found myself falling behind my peers in terms of the progress of the project. When I was still in the research phase, seeing others move forward, especially in creating prototypes, I would occasionally experience self-doubt and anxiety. It can be frustrating to feel like you can't keep up with your peers. It is also disappointing to admit that one of my initial plans (Plan C) did not meet my expectations. It can be discouraging to realise that a solution I initially thought would work is not as effective as I had hoped.

However, these moments of sadness also remind me of the challenges inherent in any project. They motivate me to work harder and smarter to catch up and improve the direction of the project. As hard as these feelings may be, they also provide opportunities for growth and learning, an integral aspect of any meaningful project.

Myanmar, officially the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and also known as Burma, is a country in Southeast Asia. Myanmar is bordered by India and Bangladesh to its west, Thailand and Laos to its east and China to its north and northeast. Located in Southeast Asia and bordering six other countries, Myanmar is slowly working to correct economic woes that have crippled the country for decades and have led many to state Myanmar a poor country.
The EU is a partner of Myanmar in its transition, having rapidly responded to political changes in the country and provided strong support for democratic and economic reforms and peacebuilding from the outset. Trade preferences under the Everything But Arms (EBA) scheme, which allows duty free and quota free access to the EU market, were restored and a full-fledged EU Delegation was opened in 2013. In the same year, an EU-Myanmar Task Force meeting with the participation of four Commissioners, the European Parliament and the European Investment Bank took place in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw, combining all instruments the EU has at its disposal to support democratisation. In October 2015, the EU signed the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement as an international witness, reflecting its key role in supporting the peace process. The EU deployed the largest international Election Observation Mission with some 100 observers to the 2015 general election, on the invitation of the Union Election Commission. An Election Expert Mission followed the 2017 by-elections on the ground, confirming the importance the EU attaches to electoral reform in the country.
A Joint Communication, entitled "Elements for an EU strategy vis-à-vis Myanmar/Burma: A Special Partnership for Democracy, Peace and Prosperity" set out a vision for an ambitious and forward-looking EU engagement with the country in the various areas like democracy, rule of law and good governance; the peace process; human rights; poverty reduction and sustainable development; economic engagement; and working together with Myanmar in ASEAN and the region.
In 2014, the EU and Myanmar also started to engage in a regular Human Rights Dialogue, which is co-chaired by the EU Special Representative for Human Rights. This engagement underscores the particular attention the EU places on democratic transition and human rights in the country, not least the protection of the rights of persons belonging to ethnic and religious minorities, including the Rohingya.
The Rohingya, who numbered around one million in Myanmar at the start of 2017, are one of the many ethnic minorities in the country. Rohingya Muslims represent the largest percentage of Muslims in Myanmar, with the majority living in Rakhine state. But the government of Myanmar, a predominantly Buddhist country, denies the Rohingya citizenship and even excluded them from the 2014 census, refusing to recognise them as a people. It sees them as illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.
The EU has condemned the attacks of 25 August 2017 by the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army, as well as the violence that followed in northern Rakhine State. Tens of thousands of people have been internally displaced and some 700,000 Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh. The EU called for an immediate stop of violence against unarmed civilians and a de-escalation of tensions, respect for human rights and a particular duty of the security forces to refrain from any violence against unarmed civilians. The EU has also been insisting on the restoration of full access for all humanitarian actors and the media to northern Rakhine State.
Myanmar finds itself unable to respond effectively to comply with the EU's wishes. Myanmar planned to repatriate 700,000 Rohingya refugees now in Bangladesh starting in November 2018 as a way to show the international community its commitment to human rights. This has yet to occur, as the refugees refuse to return out of fear of additional persecution. Furthermore, Myanmar still does not count the Rohingya as one of its 135 officially recognized indigenous ethnic groups -- a situation that provides no guarantee of safety after resettlement for members of the Muslim minority group in the majority Buddhist country.
Instead, the government has announced the easing of restrictions on foreign banks and the creation of a new ministry to oversee foreign investment in an effort to restore investor confidence. But while the Rohingya issue may encourage reform, a growing sense that the economy is in crisis is putting pressure on the government to resolve it. Since Myanmar failed to solve the Rohingya refugee crisis and its anti- religious attacks towards Muslims, EU is considering ending its trade preferences for Myanmar.
The removal of the cushy trade status by the EU would send shock waves to countries' economy.
The EU added seven Myanmar military officials to its sanctions list, further undermining
Myanmar's image as a potential destination for investing. Even overlooking their spotted human rights records, Myanmar is losing their appeal as a manufacturing centre.
