Height Comparisons for the Wild Life Fan-Creators

So, that session 1 tho. Lotta height weirdness! And I can already tell this is gonna be hell for trying to determine where characters are in a space, so I did the math so y'all don't have to!

Of course there's definitely more than 1 way to do things, so if you don't like my math, don't use it! I'm also not a mathmatician so if my numbers are wrong pls let me know~

So where do we start?

Original heights, of course! Specifically, the original height of none other than Minecraft Steve himself.

Each minecraft block is a 1x1x1 meter cube, and Steve (and therefore all other cubitos) are exactly 2 blocks tall. This leaves Steve (and therefore the rest of the cubitos) at a default of about 6'5-6'6 feet tall.

Step 2 is where the shrinkage comes in. We know from the Sub One Crew that the smallest height possible is half a block, so 50 centimeters. The largest height possible, from what I can gather, is 6 blocks, so 6 meters, leaving a height range from 1'6-19'7 feet.

But, we can also go a little further~

With the way characters move and the fact that none of the characters really did proper experimental testing, it's hard to say how much height exactly is added per jump or per crouch.

So, I figured it'd be easier to just call it one pixel per jump or per crouch. (Crouching in reality is a bit more complicated because you can hold it down, but for the sake of easy math I'm just going to count the crouches the same as the jumps.)

Each minecraft block has a 16x16 grid of pixels on each side. If each jump adds a pixel and each crouch removes one, then that would be adding/losing 6.25 cm per jump/crouch, or roughly 2.46 inches. So... Not that much of a difference in the grand scheme of things.

This does mean, by these calculations, that getting from normal height to the minimum would take 24 crouches, and getting from normal height to the maximum would take about 64 jumps. And therefore, getting from max to min or min to max would be 88 crouches or jumps depending on which direction you're going in.

Yikes that's a workout-

Hopefully this helps put things a little bit into perspective when it comes to these cubitos and their height weirdness!

Playing a video means I gotta put on my Headphones and make sure they're turned on and at the right sound level and by the time I've got my headphones on the video's already started which means I need to pause and rewind and I gotta rewind ALL the way which is surprisingly difficult to do because the rewind thing doesn't go all the way back, and then once the video's playing sometimes the audio's too loud or too quiet which means I gotta adjust the volume and sometimes I don't have my headphones nearby and I sure as hell am not gonna play a tumblr video out loud where any of my family can hear it, and then sometimes I get partway through the video and it's crap which means I did all of that for nothing-

Looking at a text post means I have to look at the post. And read.

Easy choice.

So, that Life Series win, huh?

Considering the debate in the Life Series fandom rn, I wanted to get a poll to see where the general opinion of the fandom lies on this~

I know saying 'Reblog to spread the poll' gets old after a while, but I have p much 0 Life Series followers, so tags/reblogs are p much the only way this thing is gonna get seen enough for accurate results.

Can I just say, I know how everyone is always like 'Man the tumblr like button sucks' and 'Liking a post does nothing!!!', but honestly, the Like button is SO USEFUL as a bookmarking system-

See a post you wanna reblog but want to make some cool tags for it first? Like the post

See a post with a video but you don't have headphones on you? Like the post

See a cool fanart that you know you'll wanna see again but don't want to forget? You should probably reblog in that instance but liking as well wouldn't hurt.

Idk if it works for everybody (I've only actually used it for the second one), but it's sure been a lot less annoying than opening a dozen tabs or trying to copy the links to Every Single Post that I wanna read/watch later.

Utterly insane about the fact that these fuckers barely remember anything that's happened to them and yet the echoes of angst and trauma still remain. Lifers Don't Remember The Games AUers are thriving rn

Does Joel remember the games? No. But he remembers the loneliness. He remembers the bloodlust nipping at his heels like a pack of wolves. He remembers even now, even through the paranoia and constant awareness he's had to develop, that he would rather be the hunted than the hunter.

Does Mumbo remember the games? No. But he remembers what it felt like to be betrayed by his teammates. He remembers that trust is something fickle, something that only lasts as long as it benefits the holder. He remembers enough to cling tightly to the team that he has before it's too late.

Does Scar remember the games? Well... He remembers the abandonment of his soulmate. He remembers the animal companions that he surrounded himself with. He remembers a promise made of flowers to never leave again.

But why does he remember when so many others don't? Maybe the Secret Keeper gave him a few secrets of his own...

Reading through people screaming over the new lore drops is so hilarious to me. Like, whoever's writing the books looked at the 'Peepaw Willy' meme, thought 'we need to make them take Afton more seriously', and then made it EVEN HARDER to take him seriously. This is amazing-

Also I do wanna remind y'all that the FNAF books aren't a 1 to 1 canon, so whatever the books imply about FNAF 4 doesn't mean that it's CANON to FNAF 4~
