It's so funny that Courtney was telling everyone to stick together and follow her lead at the beginning but nobody (especially Rick) was listening to her. But then they got their asses kicked and finally stood behind Courtney and let her lead. And this was before the stripe robot showed up. I love these little developments

i really, really love court being a leader in stargirl. it’s something we MAJORLY missed out on in the comics, apart from the issue of jakeem and court fighting solomon & the princes of darkness issue with court and billy. at heart, court is a leader, and it’s SO nice to have that acknowledged in the show.

i also loved how it directly paralleled pat’s care for courtney; it was majorly highlighted at the end of the episode but it was pretty easy to pick up on before that. rick is, rick and i think his not listening to courtney was (in his mind) well placed; he pushed to go after the gambler, it was his idea, his plan. they’d all never really been over a battle plan before, and rick’s doing what he knows best: talking with his fists.

there’s a little nod between rick and court before that pull out shot of the whole team, and it says “we’re in this together. we’re cool” and i LOVED that. they are a team, and it’s important; their first mission didn’t go off without a hitch. they faced setbacks. but they’re going to grow from it. and i ADORE that.
