Castlevania: Dracula X - Stage 7:

"Final level in the game and...this level is the reason why I was avoiding beating this game because that's the worse Dracula fight ever...The fight itself is already hard enough because of Richter's awkward movement, but you also have to worry about platforming while you are beating Dracula? This is a recipe for disaster to the point I had to use quick saves because oh hell no, I will not do this fight without saving at all."

it’s hard to tell what ivan’s true intentions were, but above all else i believe that he did what he did during r6 because he was SURE that till wouldn’t care.

that’s why it’s so heartbreaking to me that the memory of ivan is clearly a TRIGGER for till in r7

remember? ivan criticized sua because her eventual death would only traumatize mizi. that’s why he kept himself at arms length from till — because he never wanted to become a source of trauma for him. as much as he craved till’s affection, he didn’t want to hold till back.

but ivan didn’t account for till’s real feelings. till — while it was not in a romantic sense — cared for ivan more than ivan was lead to believe.

and just like sua was for mizi, he’s nothing but a source of trauma for till. he became something luka used to exploit.

and it’s genuinely so heartbreaking because that was the last thing that ivan wanted.

The difference between their reactions is driving me up the wall.

They're both equally overwhelmed by what is happening: they lost the people they cared about, they are forced to perform for someone else's entertainment, and they are surrounded by blasting reminders of their grief that neither of the two had time nor energy to deal with.

Mizi's rage makes her violent: she relives her trauma over and over and ends up losing her composure by attacking her opponent.

Till, on the other hand, nearly faints from the pressure and it about to give up (which might appear as surprising, given that he was shown to be the most rebellious out of the contestants at first).

There's more parallels between the rounds, but the eyes hurt me the most, so I'm sharing.
