SHINE MURAL FESTIVAL

Houston based muralist Emily Ding describes her work as "characterized by expressive animals and figures, which come to life through bold color gradients and a fluid, painterly style." This beautiful work was painted in 2021 for the 7th edition of the SHINE Mural Festival in St. Petersburg, Florida. Produced annually by the St Pete Arts Alliance, SHINE has now created more than 100 murals since launching in 2015.

Pictured is Sandy Warden, executive assistant of the headmaster, with her nephew, DAAS, who is the artist behind this masterpiece. As a part of the mural movement, this was another addition and is located on the JWags Bar building at the corner of 23rd Avenue and 4th Street. "HARMONY" by Gleo

Whether working large or small Colombian artist Gleo "maintains a common language: color and shapes, elements that in turn create dialogue with the spaces built by the human imaginary." Gleo says "we all form one with nature" and her work searches for a universal language to describe the human experience.
