FEATURE: The Anime Stars of Genshin Impact
Tumblr media
Image via miHoYo
Genshin Impact has lived up to its name in that it has indeed made an impact upon the gaming world. Launched on September 26, the free-to-play open-world game has amassed $245 million in only its first month, and that's from Android and iOS alone. I'm not ashamed to say that I have sunk an unholy number of hours into this game. Why do I like this game so much? Perhaps the biggest reason Genshin Impact is so appealing to me is that I am an anime fan.
Voices from all over the world of anime can be heard in Genshin Impact, from Naruto to My Hero Academia to currently airing seasonal anime. Being able to "hear" your favorite anime character in-game is part of what makes this game so great. Let's take a look at some of the talented people from the anime industry whose voices bring the characters of Genshin Impact to life.
  Paimon (Aoi Koga)
Tumblr media
Paimon is the face of Genshin Impact. No, literally, her face is on the launcher icon. Imagine my shock when I found out she is voiced by Aoi Koga, the voice of Kaguya Shinomiya from Kaguya-sama: Love is War. The intimidatingly smart rich girl Kaguya and the squeaky and energetic (and kinda stupid) Paimon couldn't be more different. Props to Koga for making both work. Koga has also voiced Elulu from Cautious Hero, Yuri Miyata from TWOCAR, and Sora Kaneshiro from Angel's 3Piece.
Male Traveler (Shun Horie)
Tumblr media
One of the first actions you take in the game (in most games, for that matter) is to choose your character. In Genshin Impact, you choose between two world-traveling twins, who the other characters simply refer to as "Traveler." The male Traveler (whose official name is Aether) is voiced by Shun Horie. I personally recognize him as Enta from Sarazanmai, but most would know him as Kazuya ("Kazuya-kuuuuun!") from Rent-a-Girlfriend. Some of his other roles include Ichiro Suzuki aka Satou Pendragon from Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, Rat from Juni Taisen: Zodiac War, and Hacker from this season's Akudama Drive.
Female Traveler (Aoi Yuuki)
Tumblr media
What about the female Traveler (whose official name is Lumine)? Turns out she's voiced by Aoi Yuuki, who voices ... Mami from the same show. The irony of this coincidence is not lost on me. Yuuki is probably best known for voicing Madoka Kaname, the protagonist of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. To me, however, her most memorable role was as the titular Boogiepop in 2019's Boogiepop and Others; an unforgettable performance. She's voiced a number of other notable roles, including Tamaki from Fire Force, Tsuyu Asui (Froppy) from My Hero Academia, Tanya from Saga of Tanya the Evil, Tornado from One-Punch Man, Kayo from ERASED, Yuuki Konno from Sword Art Online II, and Hachiman's sister Komachi from My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU.
Amber (Manaka Iwami)
Tumblr media
  Image via Madman Entertainment
Amber is one of the game's most popular characters, owing to her cheerful and optimistic personality. She is voiced by Manaka Iwami, the voice of Teresa Wagner in Tada Never Falls in Love, Lykos in Children of the Whales, Mizuho in Wave, Listen to Me!, and Maquia in Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms.
Kaeya (Kohsuke Toriumi)
Tumblr media
The cool and charismatic Kaeya is, surprisingly enough, voiced by Kohsuke Toriumi, known as the voice of the hotheaded Kiba from Naruto. He has also voiced Shunsuke Imaizumi from Yowamushi Pedal, Mista from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and Cecil from the Uta no Prince-sama franchise.
Lisa (Rie Tanaka)
Tumblr media
A lazy and flirtatious scholar with electrical powers, Lisa is voiced by the experienced Rie Tanaka, who one might easily recognize as Lacus Clyne from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. The gentle, "sisterly" voice of Lacus suits Lisa's personality to a T. Tanaka has also voiced Yomi from Azumanga Daioh, Chii from Chobits, Sammy from Time of Eve, Maria from Hayate the Combat Butler, Chizuru from Squid Girl, and Suiginto from Rozen Maiden.
Barbara (Akari Kito)
Tumblr media
The first Akari Kito role that catches the eye is her performance as Kotoko Iwanaga in In/Spectre; both she and Barbara have a near-identical dressing sense, with their frilly white frock and cap. Kito has also voiced Nezuko in Demon Slayer, Nene Yashiro in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, Kaho Hinata in BLEND-S, and Suzune Horikita in Classroom of the Elite. You can also look forward to hearing her as Tsukasa in TONIKAWA and Adachi in Adachi and Shimamura this season.
Beidou (Ami Koshimizu)
Tumblr media
Beidou is voiced by Ami Koshimizu, voice of Ryuko from Kill la Kill and Kallen from Code Geass — two popular characters from two of the biggest shows of our times. Some of her other roles include Holo from Spice and Wolf, Tenma from School Rumble, Nodoka from Saki, and Shizuri from A Certain Scientific Railgun.
Bennett (Ryota Osaka)
Tumblr media
Bennett's design coupled with his "passionate" and "righteous" personality screams "protagonist" to me. And that's exactly what his voice actor Ryota Osaka delivers, being the voice of Eijun Sawamura from Ace of the Diamond, Nariyuki Yuiga from We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, and Ryu Yamada from Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches. His other roles include Zen Wistalia in Snow White with the Red Hair, Keiji Akaashi in Haikyu!!, Yuki Sanada in Tsuritama, Nagate in Knights of Sidonia, Ikki Kurogane in Chivalry of a Failed Knight, and Sadao Mao in The Devil is a Part-Timer!.
Chongyun (Soma Saito)
Tumblr media
Chongyun is voiced by Soma Saito, perhaps best known as Yamaguchi from Haikyu!!. However, his breakout performance was as young Twelve in Terror in Resonance. Other notable roles include Tatsumi from Akame ga Kill, Adlet Mayer from Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers, Doppio from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and William James Moriarty from the currently-airing Moriarty the Patriot.
Diluc (Kensho Ono)
Tumblr media
Diluc is widely considered to be the best character in the game from a gameplay perspective. He is voiced by Kensho Ono, whose most famous voice performance is undoubtedly Giorno Giovanna, the protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Ono is also known for his performance as the titular Kuroko from Kuroko's Basketball. Other roles include Canute from Vinland Saga, Arata from ReLIFE, Mikazuki from My Roommate is a Cat, Slaine Troyard from Aldnoah.Zero, Tanaka from Tanaka-kun is Always Listless, and Akutagawa from Bungo Stray Dogs.
Fischl (Maaya Uchida)
Tumblr media
In what has to be the most on-point casting in this game, Maaya Uchida — best known as the voice of delusional eyepatch-wearing chunibyo (middle-schooler) Rikka from Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions — voices a delusional eyepatch-wearing chunibyo in Fischl. Well done, miHoYo, well done. She also voices Hiyori from Noragami, Norman from The Promised Neverland, Catarina Claes from My Next Life as a Villainess, Yoshioka from Blue Spring Ride, and Rui from Domestic Girlfriend.
Jean (Chiwa Saito)
Tumblr media
Chiwa Saito (the voice of Jean) went on to become one of my favorite voice actors after I heard her as Hitagi in Bakemonogatari, Yona in Yona of the Dawn, and Homura in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Some of her other performances include Aika in Aria the Animation, Chloe von Einzbern in Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2wei, and Schierke in 2016's Berserk.
Keqing (Eri Kitamura)
Tumblr media
The energetic and hardworking Keqing is played by Eri Kitamura, known for voicing such energetic characters as Mina Ashido in My Hero Academia, Yui in Angel Beats, and Sayaka in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. She also voices Ami in Toradora!, "Chief" Yachiyo in Wagnaria!!, and Bea in Pokemon: Twilight Wings.
Klee (Misaki Kuno)
Tumblr media
Klee has quickly become a fan favorite, partly due to her short stature and childlike demeanor. She is quite appropriately voiced by Misaki Kuno, known for voicing "childlike" characters such as Hawk from The Seven Deadly Sins, Momo Kawamoto from March Comes in Like a Lion, Shio from Happy Sugar Life, Serara from Log Horizon, Niko from Kiznaiver, and Akane from Durarara!! x2.
Mona (Konomi Kohara)
Tumblr media
Is it a coincidence that this game has both Aoi Koga AND Konomi Kohara (who voice Kaguya and Chika in Kaguya-sama: Love is War)? I think not. Kohara's other notable roles include Akane from Tsukigakirei, Kasumi from Asobi Asobase - workshop of fun -, Mina Hibino from Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san, Shamiko from The Demon Girl Next Door, and Tsukasa's sister Chitose from TONIKAWA.
Ningguang (Sayaka Ohara)
Tumblr media
Sayaka Ohara is known for her deep, "mature" voice — an apt fit for Ningguang. While Ohara's best-known voice role is probably as Erza Scarlet in the Fairy Tail series, she has also delivered iconic performances as Beatrice from the Umineko When They Cry visual novels and Yuuko in xxxHolic. Other well-known roles include Irisviel from Fate/Zero, Alice from Aria the Animation, Milly Ashford from Code Geass, and Mrs. Yuigahama (Gaha-mama) in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU.
Noelle (Kanon Takao)
Tumblr media
Kanon Takao has not done a whole lot of voice roles but there are still some recognizable titles on their resume, such as Hina Tsurugi from the recently-aired Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater, Latina from If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord, Aku from Demon Lord, Retry!, and Linnea from The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar.
Qiqi (Yukari Tamura)
Tumblr media
Qiqi is voiced by Yukari Tamura, who shot to fame as the voice of protagonist Nanoha Takamachi from the influential magical girl franchise Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. Her other significant voice roles are as Togame in Katanagatari, Tenten in Naruto, Rika Furude in When They Cry, Io Euclase in GRANBLUE FANTASY: The Animation, Mai Kawasumi in Kanon, Yamada in B Gata H Kei, and Jibril in No Game No Life.
Razor (Kouki Uchiyama)
Tumblr media
Kouki Uchiyama is known for his soft-spoken roles, especially villainous ones like Meruem from Hunter x Hunter, Shigaraki from My Hero Academia, and Rui from Demon Slayer. Even his non-villainous roles have that serious, soft-spoken nature to them — Tsukishima from Haikyu!!, Smile from Ping Pong the Animation, Natsuno from Shiki, Yu Otosaka from Charlotte, and Toi from Sarazanmai. He is a perfect fit for Razor, a menacing wolf-boy of few words.
Sucrose (Akane Fujita)
Tumblr media
Akane Fujita (the voice actor for curious bio-alchemist Sucrose) had her breakout year in 2017 when she played Sagiri Izumi in Eromanga Sensei and Sistine Fibel in Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor.
Venti (Ayumu Murase)
Tumblr media
Venti's naive and mischievous personality makes him the perfect fit for Ayumu Murase, best known as the voice of the cheerful and simpleminded Shoyo Hinata of Haikyu!! fame. What interests me most, however, is the fact that Murase also voiced protagonist Kazuki from Sarazanmai — between Venti, Razor, and the male Traveler, it looks like we have the entire Sarazanmai main trio assembled! Murase has also voiced Shun in From the New World, Iruma in Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, and Ryo Asuka in Devilman Crybaby.
Xiangling (Ari Ozawa)
Tumblr media
I was very excited to hear that Xiangling would be voiced by Ari Ozawa, whose performance as Chiyo Sakura in Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun (her first major role) is one of the finest I have ever seen. Ozawa has also voiced Hina Hikawa in BanG Dream! S2, Kirin Todo in The Asterisk War, Mao in Hinamatsuri, Papi in Monster Musume: Everyday Life With Monster Girls, Benitoite in Land of the Lustrous, Lynn May in Plunderer, and Conny in The Promised Neverland.
Xingqiu (Junko Minagawa)
Tumblr media
It is quite common in the voice acting industry for male characters, especially younger ones, to be voiced by female VAs. Such is the case with refined bookworm Xingqiu. This is not the first time Junko Minagawa has voiced a male character — her first role came as Ryoma Echizen from the long-running The Prince of Tennis. Her other roles include Oz Vessalius in PandoraHearts, Cornelia in Code Geass, Sailor Uranus in Sailor Moon Crystal, and Jeanne d'Arc in Drifters.
As more characters are added to the game, we can expect more talented voice work from the people behind the scenes. Further updates have teased us with the possibility of such giants as Saori Hayami and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka joining the cast. Can't wait!

Virtual reality animation sequel Spice and Wolf VR 2 will launch for PlayStation VR, Switch, PC via Steam, Oculus Rift, and Oculus Go on December 10 for $24.99 / 2,739 yen, the game’s Japanese Nintendo eShop listing reveals. It will support English, Japane,se and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) language options.
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
At the end of his journey with the wolf goddess Holo, former traveling merchant Lawrence settled down with her and opened a bathhouse.
The couple was blessed with an adorable daughter and an idyllic life.
However, the beautiful wolves have a weakness for delicious meals and their food expenses are a source of headaches for Lawrence.
One day, as Lawrence is going about his fur side business to further fill the family’s coffers, a slight incident occurs.
To further complicate things, Holo saunters in with quite the feast.
This is a virtual reality animation of Spice and Wolf: Spring Log, sequel to the original Spice and Wolf VR animation.
The game has a 30 minute story and a game mode where you can watch part of the anime alongside its characters in the style of Japanese paper street theater.
A peaceful life in the bathhouse with wolfgirls awaits.
You can enjoy the game and view the included anime without a VR headset in its Non-VR Mode.

Note
You've got me curious now as to what anime youve seen, enjoyed and why.
Oof, I don’t track that type of thing. I’ve been asked about anime I like previously, and I feel like I always forget something. I suppose I should start a MyAnimeList one of these days, just for reference.
So let’s list everything I can remember, as well as a pithy reaction.
Baccano! This one is just so much fun. It’s violent and crass in a classy way, it’s funny in a weird way, and it’s a great example of a non-linear narrative. I love it.
Code Geass (Season 1)Ugh, I only watched this one because people solicited my opinion on it. Well, my opinion is that it’s not as smart as it wants to be, there’s too much contrived melodrama (and considering the wild premise, that’s saying something), and Kallen would be a wonderful and interesting character if she wasn’t always being demeaned for fan-service. I quit when the first season finale kicked off, because I felt things were just getting too contrived. I hear it really fell apart in the second season.
Cowboy BebopI found this a bit pretentious. It had good episodes and bad episodes. The production quality is good. But I'm not sure why it's legendary. Still, I liked its sense of humor, and enjoyed it when it wasn’t trying to be super serious. My favorite character is Ed.
Demon SlayerI'm mainly watching this because my brother wanted to give it a try on Toonami, but I kind of checked out when it unceremoniously removed everything difficult about the sister being a demon and made her into an order-following sidekick that fits in a suitcase. Now the latest episode introduced a loud annoying side character, so we may quit. I have no idea why this one is so popular.
Fullmetal AlchemistCovered
Gatchaman CrowdsI was asked to watch this one, as well, but it went a lot better than Code Geass. It’s a bit weird, and I think it's naively optimistic about the internet in many ways, but I still found it's exploration of Internet-age superheroes to be interesting, and it's the best, most mature take on the Power Rangers-style ‘sentai’ genre that I've seen. I don't know how well it matches up with its Gatchaman legacy, but as its own thing, it's pretty good.
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (including 2nd Gig)This is another legendary one that I think is good but a bit over-rated. It's a good piece of modern Cyberpunk, but it's very talky, and very jargon-filled. I'm almost convinced that the viewer is not meant to follow half of the conversations, that they're just part of the ambiance. I tended to like the stand-alone episodes better than the storyline episodes. Still, it’s a very smart series, and probably the best thing in the franchise, from what I’ve heard.
Log Horizon (first season only)I’ll tell you what- I think it’s possible to make a good anime with the premise of people from the modern, real world entering a fantasy realm (either another dimension or a VR video game). Log Horizon did not end up being that ideal. The main character is a Gary Stu, his romances with girls who are either ten years old or just look like they’re ten years old are creepy, and it got boring seeing the protagonists’ plans always succeed without much of a hitch.
Lupin III (series 4 and 5)I like this franchise when it's being clever, when it's springing a twist while playing fair. Sometimes, though, it doesn't play fair with its twists, leaving me underwhelmed. And while the regular cast is amusing, they're fairly shallow characters; this isn't always a bad thing, as that allows them to slot into all kinds of genre fare, but does limit the storytelling ambitions. It’s fine.
Macross franchiseSuper Dimensional Fortress MacrossI still like the original, despite how dated it is. It's probably the best possible implementation of 'soap opera in space.'
Macross PlusI'm not sure why this one is so revered. I feel like it doesn't play fair with its mystery, despite being such a short story, and whole thing with the killer popstar AI just left me cold.
Macross 7I like the music, but the story really drags for the first half with a formula that’s repeated far too long, and then falls apart in the end. The love triangle isn’t resolved, and in fact I’m of the opinion that two of the participants didn’t even know they were in competition. The bad guys are allowed to sail off into the sunset, forgiven, despite still inhabiting the bodies of kidnapped humans. But this isn't a series you watch for the story; this is a series you watch because you like the idea of a rockstar flying into space in a transforming mecha, controlled by an electric guitar, to sing at alien invaders. Personally, I think the idea is dumb. Plus, this ruins the premise of the original series by adding in what is effectively magic.
Macross ZeroThis is pretty good and has the best dogfights in the series, but it has one of those weird arty endings that anime sometimes likes to do where no one can tell what actually happened and we need to find translated interviews with the creative team to get it explained.
Macross FrontierBy this point, I was wondering why everyone is so eager for the Macross franchise to get American distribution. It’s better than Macross 7, but feels like a first draft of the intended story, and the creative team lost track of their own subplots. The two AU movies do a more satisfying take on the same basic story, but sometimes they come across like an abridged recap of the series, so you really need to watch everything to get a satisfying experience. That said, the final experience was indeed fairly satisfying, making this the second best thing in the franchise for me. Still, I wouldn’t say it lives up to the original in any way.
Macross DeltaBoy, this one was dumb. Everything wrong with Frontier is worse here, with none of the good stuff.
The Melancholy of Haruhi SuzumiyaI still want an ending for this, despite nothing worthwhile coming from it since 2011. It wouldn't even be hard to pick it up again; set it in modern times, and explain the fact that everyone has smartphones now to be a result of some weird off-screen Haruhi antics.
Mobile Suit Gundam franchiseMobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded OrphansI've only ever experienced the Gundam franchise because my brother wants to get into it and he keeps trying to find a vector. This was my first experience with it, and I found it very 'teenage boy,' in both tone and story. I was underwhelmed.
Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096Another case where the storytellers reached the end only to have forgotten the rest of the story. Why does that happen so often in anime? And I think it assumes the viewer is familiar with the whole rest of the franchise, because there was a lot that just went straight over my head but didn't seem like it was supposed to. Nice animation and art style, though.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin - Advent of the Red CometEverything I said about Unicorn, only more.
My Hero AcademiaCovered
NichijouThis thing is still hilarious, even after a rewatch. Stick with the sub, as the new dub's voice-acting doesn't have the same range and power of the original, losing a lot of the humor.
Outlaw Star I'm struggling to remember a lot of this one. it’s another I watched because my brother was interested in it. I do recall that it was a fairly standard Space Western that ends in a way that's more like serious science fiction, and that for some reason a Japanese swordswoman in classic clothing was part of the cast. Now I wonder if that was an homage to Lupin III. Or maybe Japan just really loves throwing classic samurai into everything, regardless of setting or genre.
Pokemon (part of first series)I was in high school when this franchise first came to America, and for some reason all the geeks in my high school thought it was the greatest thing. The games were good, yeah, but the anime? I don't think it's bad for a kiddie cartoon, but it obviously has no greater ambitions than pleasantly occupying the kids for 22 minutes. Personally, what I really want is a series about Team Rocket done in the style of Cowboy Bebop.
Princess TutuCo-owner of the Best Magical Girl designation. I forget who asked me to watch this, but I owe them.
Puella Magi Madoka MagicaCo-owner of the Best Magical Girl designation. I still haven't bothered with anything but the original series, and I continue to be happy with that choice.
Samurai ChamplooI liked this better than Cowboy Bebop, but only because its ambitions were lower. It leaned more into its genre, had fun with its style more even when being serious, and as a result became more enjoyable. I overall liked going on a journey with these rascals, but I think it ended at a good point. I don’t need more.
Spice & Wolf (first season)I watched this on someone's suggestion, and found it a little underwhelming. What I really appreciated were the two main characters, especially that they seem to be into each other, romantically and sexually, and aren't freaked out by it while at the same time not being in a hurry to become a couple. It was just a kind of, "Yeah, this could really be something if we ever find the time." It was so amazingly mature and real. Too bad the main Economics plotlines just wound up being tepid.
Tekkaman BladeMy thoughts haven't changed on this.
Tiger & BunnyI'm still fond of this one, and I'm actually kind of curious to revisit it in light of My Hero Academia.
Transformers ‘Unicron Trilogy’These three cartoons are true anime, produced by and for Japan. (The other cartoons in the franchise were written, and sometimes animated, in the west.) It's garbage that assumes its child audience are morons, and on top of that the first two series wound up with laughably bad dubs. How this trilogy revitalized the franchise, I have no idea, and thankfully I'll never have to worry about it.
Volton (original)Either this or Robotech/Macross was my first anime; I was too young to say which I discovered first. I'll admit that the original Voltron isn't good, despite the toy being neat, but I have a soft spot for it. I tried the Netflix reboot, watching the first three episodes, and found it to be vacuous junk. Maybe some day a version of this will come along that will do justice to the toy.
And I think that’s it. If I remember anything I left off, I’ll reblog with the addition.

Thirteen - Steve Harrington
Summery- Thirteen is a runaway girl in the woods. She came from Hawkins as an experiment, but three years prior ran away. When the gang is in trouble, El calls out in fear and an unexpected guest comes to the rescue
This is based off a fanfiction I'm planning on Wattpad, so please don't steal ideas.
Hope you enjoy

Monsters were everywhere, literally everywhere. Dustin, Lucas, Mike, Eleven, and Steve were surrounded, fear settling within each of them.
Eleven was shaking in fear, her telekinesis not working. So she screamed, she cried out for help.
Suddenly, a black wolf lept from the darkness. Its eyes were bright blue and piecing, much to bright to be a normal wolf. Monster after monster it plowed through to get to the children, steppung on the monsters head and legs to save someone.
Everybodys eyes widened in shock at this supposed killing machine, and they all looked frightend, raising any weapon they had. The only person who wasn't scared was Eleven, as the rest stared wide eyed at the bear sized wolf leaping towards them. Eleven just smiled, making them lower their weapons.
The Wolf bowed infront of them, and Eleven tugged on steve's sleave ( she was nearest him) He turned to her.
" On" she whispered to him. His eyes widened.
" On? On? Are you kidding me!?" He whispered harshly. Eleven shook her head. He sighed and cautiously walked to were the wolf stood. The wolf watched him, bowing her head so Steve could climb on. He did, sitting stiffly at the front.
Next came Dustin, then Eleven, then Mike then Lucas.
A loud shriek was heard, and Eleven turned around, only to see all the monsters getting to their feat and making their way towards them. The wolf growled, bearing her teeth, before springing expertly from the rock and taking off. The wolf stepped lightly, swerving between trees, jumping over fallen logs. Steve looked behind him only to see the Monsters still chasing them.
" Hey girl can you go any faster?" He whispered close to her ear.
The wolfs head turned to the side, one eye looking at him before winking.
The wolf flashed blue, and a light was surrounding it. The gang uncovered their eyes to see that she was an eagle. A great huge golden eagle. She cawed twice before taking off into the night sky.
For five minutes they flew, though it felt longer. Steve was cheering, eleven was laughing, the three boys screaming as sge swooped and dived and spun.
She landed safley on the ground, bowing to let the others go down safley. When they were all off she stepped backwards, and a blue light engulfed her.
Then the Eagle became a girl. She was innocent looking and was medium hight, the top of her head reaching Steve's neck, just under his chin. Her doe eyes were wide, luscious lips smiling.
" Thirteen! " cried Eleven running into thirteens open arms.
" Hello Eleven" Thirteen said. She turned to the gang, and sighed. " Eleven knows me as thirteen, but I prefer my real name which is Evan, short for Evangeline. I come from the same place Eleven does. Where are we going now? It's very late, and I dont think anyone should be alone tonight."
The exuses were the same. Everyone had told their parents that they were staying at somebody elses house. Evan sighed.
" Well, I do have a house nearby. Its a one bedroom, though I have four sofas you can sleep on " she said. " It'll be a mess though because I've been a Wolf for over a year in the woods so haven't been able to keep it up."
The group agreed and they walked to her house.
When they got to her house, Evan carefully placed Eleven on the nearest sofa, having carried her a lot of the way home. Mike wanted to stay with her, and Dustin and Lucas wanted to stay with Mike. Evan brought out the blankets and draped them over the sleeping children.
Evan turned to Steve. " We'll have to share the bed, its a king sized double so I dont mind. You go on up, I'll stay in the Garden for a bit."
Steve shook his head. " I'm not tired. I'll join you"
Evan smiled. " It's odd. Being human agian. When I was a wolf, my memories were suppressed. And now everything is coming back"
Steve sank down on the doorstep next to her. " What kind of memories Evangeline ? " he asked hestinatly not wanting to pry but curious all the same.
" I remember the cage that they put me in, wanting me to shift for them. I remember the surgeries I had to make me this way. I remember Eleven. I remember running away. "
Steve nodded. "Well it will be nice to go to school if you're there. It would make life more interesting."
Evan laughed. " The creators put a chip in my brain. It basically teaches me everything. Like a computer. I dont need school. It also makes my movements more coordinated, and increase my stamina. Very usefull when I'm running away from things."
Steve snorted, running his hands through his hair. " You should join the basket ball team, this new bully's really good at it, but uses it as an excuse to be a dickhead. It's too bad about the school decision there'd be tons of things that you would enjoy, Evangeline. Sorry, - Evan."
Evan shook her head. " Don't be sorry. I like it when you call me that. The school part? I'll think about it. It would be a pasttime anyway. Also it would be a chance to get back to a normal life. "
Evan felt her eyelids droop, her head resting against Steve's shoulder. He looked down and laughed softly.
" Goodnight Evangeline " he said smiling down at her.
--------
" Shhhh they look so cute! "
" Shut up you'll wake them! "
" Ewww they're cuddling! "
" Great, now you've woken them."
Evan opened her eyes and turned her head to see four children peering down at her and Steve. Their legs were intangled, and he was holding her close her back agianst his chest.
Evan smiled. Maybe life wouldn't be so bad after all.
_______________________
It had been a week. Today was going to be Evans' first day of school.
Since she wouldn't be able to open the bank account that her parents had left her for another week whilst the details were discussed, Steve had given her money to go clothes shopping. He had gone with her to make sure she didn't pick an outrageous outfit. As it went, he thought that she would be popular with the clothes she picked out.
She was wearing one of her favourite outfits, that she bought. On her feet were black healed boots that went to her ankles. She was wearing high-waisted blue jeans with black belt. A loose black crop top hung off her. It had a little picture of a pepperoni pizza on the right breast pocket with white writing underneath saying " I requested pizza not you." ( Steve had laughed when she picked it up saying that it suited her well). She had a sports bra and leggins and black trainers as she had discoverd she had a talent for Basketball. Blue - Green mirrored sunglasses framed her face.
She had decided to go for a natural makeup look. Foundation coverd her freckles that dotted her nose, mascara and eyeliner made her eyes seem darker and wider. Her lips were painted a luscious pink, standing out agianst the whitness of her teeth. Her long dark hair was drawn up in a high ponytail, with a few strands framing her face. Evan smiled. Time to start the day.
As promised, Steve picked her up, and she curled up in the front seat, her heart pounding. Steve turned to her.
" Ok. Billy Hargrove. I need you to beat him at basketball for me and then I'll do whatever you want " He said sincerely. " You'll also be the most popular, your sense of style will give you good looks, your attitude will make you intimidating and nobody will mess with you. Remember, Spice before Nice"
Evan nodded, before stepping out the car. Although her and Steve weren't dating, they were really close, so she linked her arm with his, held her head up high, and marched towards the school.
It was now PE and unlike most, Evan was looking forward to it. At lunch she had gotten changed into her PE kit with a leather jacket.
So when the coach said Steve's team needed another player, Steve could volunteer Evan.
" A girl? Playing basketball with all boys? Well, knock 'em dead"
Evan smiled before taking off her jacket. She backflipped off the bleaches ( almost giving the coach a heart attack, jumping four levels at once) landing infront of Billy.
The coach blew the whistle.
Billy had managed to get the ball off Steve, and Evan ran up to the hoop, catching the ball at an impossible hight when Billy tried to throw it in. She then dribbled the ball past her opposing side, swerving expertly around the bodies, before scoring a point.
Two points.
Three points.
Half an hour later, after many interceptions coutsey of Evan, her team was winning by 10 points.
At the end her team surrounded her, cheering her name. Even Billy clapped slowly, though he didn't smile like everyone else. Evan laughed before walking over to where Steve was running at her.
He picked her up and spun her around, his hands on her waist, her hands on his shoulders.
And then he kissed her. Her eyes widend in shock before melting into the kiss, her long legs wrapped around his waist. The gymnasium cheered, but everything faded into the kiss.
It was time to go home, and Steve and Evan wwaljed out the school, hand in hand. The walked, laughing about anything in the world. Mike, Dustin, Lucas and Eleven watched them, the boys mouths were agape.
" Stevan? When did that happen"
" They look so happy,"
And they were.
Just for today, everything was perfect. They were together, as it would stay. Steve Harrington and Evangeline Hopper. The powercouple of the school.
The happiest couple.

Immerse Yourself in the Calm World of the Spice and Wolf VR Sequel
Tumblr media
Return to the world of Spice and Wolf next week as a VR sequel launches on Steam!
Spice and Wolf VR 2 picks up where the first VR game left off. You play as Lawrence, the story's industrious hero who's settled down with wolf goddess Holo.
A PV was released earlier this year, showing the immersive world of the village and the family's hot spring:
youtube
    The official summary reads:

The game will feature Japanese voice acting with language support and subtitles in Japanese, English, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
Spice and Wolf VR 2 launches on Steam on December 10.
