Character Sheet: That Damn Trio
Uh oh, it would seem Duraxxor has gotten himself in a lot of trouble this time around! He’s been split into three pieces of his former self! Oh the humanity! Well there’s only one thing to do. What’s that? Well, we go on a wild adventure to put him back together, of course! That’s why I have decided to create character sheet to explain and every one of the fragments and their traits. So without further interruptions, let’s get down to the material!
Character No. 1
Name: Daev ( Pronounced just like Dave )
Race: Sin’dorei?
Height: 5′ 8″ ( down from the 6′ 4″ that he once stood at. )
Hair Color: Silver Blonde
Eye Color: None, his eyes are as clear as glass
Age: “ I was only born not that long ago... I jest though... “
Physical Traits: When a person comes in contact with Daev, the first thing they may notice as his youthful appearance. Unlike Duraxxor as a whole, Daev has the physical body of a young adult that has suffered from lack of muscle. Despite this, he seems able to stand straight and maintain himself but is unable to physically apply the strength and running speed he once had. The scar that once dominated his features is now shrunken down and appears to have lining that almost reminds some of a stitching, so to speak. Perhaps even mending? The same can be said about the majority of his black attire that decorates his body other than the sleeve that appears to have torn on the right side. A thin trench coat and a pair of black leather britches that are only matched by a pair of boots below. One can also notice the pair of snake bites piercing on his lower lip that seem to have appeared as he no longer bears even a semblance of the elven fangs gene.
Personality: Quiet and probably the most balanced of his former self. Daev seems to be given the nickname of being the Heart of the Trio. And with good reason considering he is probably the very being that keeps the other two in existence. He is never to quickly jump to violence and seeks to see how people function and feel. Selfless thought and under normal circumstances, kind to those that share a mutual respect for him and his space. Although he is the most attuned to multiple emotions, he has a hard time properly expressing them and it may even come out in a series of riddles. However, he does seem to have something to say for every type of person.
Abilities: Lack of physical strength, Daev has to rely on his mind and quick thinking if he hopes to manage avoiding being killed off with the help of his familiars. It isn’t known whether he retains much of his weaponry training, other than having a dagger tucked away under his coat that appears to have a significance, or perhaps even symbolic value. Despite his familiars having their own personalities, he seems able to maintain control of them in certain moments and can even call them or dismiss them at will. Daev’s greatest ability is that he has so much untapped potential that is it unpredicted what he may learn in his stay within the Shadowlands.
Character No. 2
Name: Randdu ( Ron-doo )
Race: Familiar ( Bat )
Height: Unspecified, look to his Abilities for details
Hair Color: White
Eye Color: A mixture of Red and Yellow
Age: “ Look, man, give me a break. I only look old. “
Physical Traits: You feel a piercing gaze always watching you when you approach Daev with his avian shadow, Randdu. He takes on the appearance of most bats native to Azeroth aside from some defined features that make him appear more like a Fruit Bat from our world, bearing a canine-like snout beneath the leathery wraps that are his lengthy wings. Jagged claws appear to be on both the back legs and wing joints, giving him almost the look a humanoid if not for the fact he lacks thumbs. He is the definition of wild animal with personality.
Personality: The reckless familiar that is highly regarded ( and prideful of himself ) as the symbol of Duraxxor. Randdu is also the loudest and most immature of the trio. He would rather pick a fight and see who is the strongest than listen to negotiations. He also possesses quite the appetite match this need for combat. However, this doesn’t mean he isn’t self aware when he is in over his head, being the quickest to also panic when he feels outmatched, that is until something goes right, then he will simply mock his foe. Warning: He may curse a lot.
Abilities: Despite his reckless personality, Randdu is actually quite the powerhouse. He is physically strong and can easily pick up something that is three times his own size, which is only matched by the fact that he is able to grow and shrink his form based on the energy reserves he has obtained through his vampiric aura. The more he fights and succeeds, the stronger Randdu gets. Claws, teeth, and even a mind piercing screech are at his disposal. However, the magical affinity seems to lie more so in the fact he is able to cast a blaze of shadows about his form, giving him enough speed to perform a Wraith Flight, an ability that projects his vampiric aura outward and making mere contact results in the sapping of one’s raw energies.
Character No. 3
Name: Sphula ( Sph-ooluh )
Race: Familiar ( Serpent )
Height: 15′ 07″ in length
Hair Color: “ Crimson Scales, you uneducated pig. “
Eye Color: Onyx
Age: “ To old for you to know. “
Physical Traits: While Randdu is regarded to be the visible lurker, Sphula sticks to remaining hidden into his time is most appropriate. The lengthy serpent bears a strange familiarity to the Arcane Serpents of Northrend, but with many more rows of teeth and definitive fangs. He also lacks the ethereal skin until certain abilities are applied. Scales, bladed fings, and circular markings that are akin to chains, this crimson familiar seems to be the most colorful of the trio.
Personality: Calm until provoked, Sphula recognizes his own intellect and will exercise it when it is most necessary. More often than naught, he is seen wrapped around Daev, whispering into his ear while chastising Randdu. For once to gain conference with Sphula would mean that you either have earned his respect or there is something of worth about you or upon you that he would sooner have you align yourself to their cause. Unlike the other trio, Sphula is not above breaking the rules in his favor. For he believes logic is more important in the case of survivability in the cruel world of a snake. There is one he deems the most worthy of his time: The Lady in the Red @sanguinesorceress .
Abilities: Not as physically strong as Randdu, Sphula is also a constrictor and has no issue wrapping his long tail around his foes or even applying it in a flailing motion to dispatch someone from approaching Daev. And speaking of which, did you know that snakes can actually jump three times their length? Not just this one, but he can also slip his entire length through objects much like a pocket space just to come out in a near forty yard radius. Sphula is also the strongest when it comes to the use of magic and intellect. He is able to conjure geomancy, hemomancy, umbramancy, and in some cases, cryomancy and pyromancy. But what would a snake be without his bite? Twin fangs possess a potent cytotoxin, which is a toxin that induces tissue necrosis. Keep your hands away from this snakes mouth!
OOC Information Station
Rp Style: When interacting with this blog or even the in-game character, I cannot always guarantee that you will interact with all three of them, just as I also cannot guarantee that one of the other’s won’t squeeze themselves into the RP. Otherwise, I am generally laid back and always up to most themes, including the dark and twisted. I am an adult writer and in most cases, I am not so easily triggered and easy to speak with. Please, don’t hesitate to ask questions as I may have an actual answer for them. I also would like to remind everyone that I have been roleplaying in World of Warcraft for nearly ten years. All I ever ask is your undying patience and kindness in return.
Platforms: Tumblr, Discord, and In-game (Planned)
If you have made it this far, congratulations. Now to get to the nitty, gritty disclaimer warnings and rules.
1. Roleplaying with The Trio means you have agreed to not knowing the original character Duraxxor is the true identity of these characters without the proper knowledge or permission. Should you regard him as Duraxxor, Alphus, Lord Daevara, Myotis, or any other former alias, it will be ignored in-character. Should this become a continuing habit, I will ask you personally to please stop trying to ruin the mystery of the characters. Let’s make this a fun plot for all, old and new.
2. If you are seeking to fix the problem as quick as possible, then you have come to the wrong player. I am wanting this particular plot device to go longer than a few weeks or even months as the Shadowlands is going to obviously take longer than a single year itself. There’s going to be hurdles to make evolve these characters over time. You are welcome to speak about being a part of the plot where he attempts to fix himself though!
3. When addressing particular character questions, please specify who you are addressing to unless it is all the above or the mun. This makes my life so much easier and more engaging.
4. Do not god mod my characters as I would not god mod yours. All of them have their own individual strengths and weaknesses and should be considered only through natural interaction.
5. More importantly, be respectful and patient. This is a brand new concept I am playing with and I really wish to see it through to the very end and want those involved to have fun.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this and I do hope that everything is clear! I look forward to roleplaying with everyone and enjoying the Shadowlands storyline! Happy Writing everyone!
And if you have not read Chapter 1 to the Shadowlands storyline, here is a link to the story is here

Send 💬 to read my muse’s thoughts in this very moment
The Voidwalker was bounced away rather harmlessly in the impact, a transient force that felt much of nothing, but could absorb much. Its mistress did not stand her ground half as well, all her assortments of magic ceasing with the sheer backlash of force. It was only by the quick thinking of the strange serpent that she was left upright at all. For a moment, it seemed as if the entire room was bathed in crimson, hypnotizing vibrance, even as it began to fade like a red mist from the center point. She became aware that she was clutching to the tail weaved around her frail body, and lifted her hands away as she attempted to regain traction on her own. Pain hit sharply, spitefully, from multiple points, severely reminded of how much damage she had taken, and how much more damage she may have done in pushing her body further.
She hated this vulnerability, this helplessness, and would not dare ask for reprieve from a snake of all things. Even if it was such a beautiful crimson flow. Some deep wine sea winding all around her. It was the dream, really.
‘Damnit. Now I want wine...’ she felt so heavy within that thought, for a moment sinking into her serpentine cradle. ‘Tell me this fight is over...’
{Thank you, @jacobdcheshyre. Have a snippet of story and thought spill. Referencing for @duraxxor :) }

Shadowlands: Chapter 1 - Division
Icecrown had often been a referred to as the capital of the Frozen North. Hues of blue decorated by the overcast of frigid snow. Remorseless and more often than naught, it often filled one with a sinking depression. Over the past several years, it had become a monument to undeath. The citadel spires erect in honor of the Lich King. However, much like many areas, the Frozen Throne was once a prison to the first Lich King, Ner'zhul. The Maw itself was originally designed to keep the Jailer imprisoned. But it had long become more a staging ground for something more sinister. Unlike it's mirror opposite, it was completely devoid of any sort of life and beauty. An undying husk plagued by hellish fire and nightmarish shadows that seek only to steal any soul, innocent or sinful of heart. The cycle had been shattered and now their was an rising flux of evil within it's heart...
" Alphus... Daevara... time to awaken... " A hallowed voice called to him, possessing soulless depth that lacked any heart. Deprived and withered of any sort of remorse for this soul. The flow grating across one's mind like nails to a chalkboard, screeching and gnawing away. Dura's eyes slowly came an open, tugging at his arms as he realized he was in a shackles with his back flat against a metallic wall. The first vision of this formless creature before him haunted his mind as he couldn't make out a face or even a pair of eyes to stare into. Jaw falling open as if he had truly seen a ghost of sorts. "... how curious... you do no show fear but... curiosity... do you not fear the immeasurable pain that is to befall you from the unknown, child? " The voice flowed a testament to mock the mortals weakness of being caught in the first place. Wings of black smog finally painting a memorable picture that slowly caught Duraxxor up with where his story left off.
" Fear? " He questioned the very notion of such, his voice also having grown hollow. The fact rung across his eardrums as he cast a glance across the entire landscape. Never in his lives did he believe himself to find such a grotesque landscape that rivaled even the Scourge. "... What is this? Why am I being restrained like some animal? "He tightly tugged at his bonds, feeling as if the metal was barbed and pulling away at his very soul threads. " What is their to fear? I fear no pain of what is to come? This... land.. where am I?"
The specter of death stepped over towards a small table off to the side as the harsh cries of some other individual echoed across the landscape, moaning it's displeasure to held prove a point in the words that were about to be uttered. " You are in the Maw... there is no hope. No escape. And you will yield yourself to his will or be consumed by the endless darkness. " The formless armor stepped forward, bearing a blade in arm that pulsed with tethers of anima, fibers of soul magic that was as common in the Shadowlands as mana was back on Azeroth. Another wailing cry echoed from the opposite direction from the last as the feeling of dread tried to creep along Dura's neck.
Alphus' glare focused on the weapon, noting the magic that imbued the blade before he looked at the specter's helm, treating the eye sockets as a something to stare into. " You seek to torture me for eternity? Then you are sadly mistaken... I will not yield to any pain... there is work to be done and it is your meddling that has delayed the death of one who is worthy... " He hadn't forgotten about Lindeara, a being of chaos that would do whatever it takes to see her plans come to fruition while sabotaging any in her path. He wondered if these creatures had captured her and planned to torment her soul in this land. " Where is she? "
" It matters not where anyone is... you will yield... whether as a whole being... or a broken one... " The being didn't hesitate or show any caution in her movements as she thrust this sword directly into the center of Dura's pectorals, feeling something tear into him like he had never felt before. It was as if his own soul had spontaneously combusted from inside, burning away. His veins began to start flowing with with erratic magics as he reeled back, crying out in something that truly hurt him.
" You... You wretch... ed! Gaaahhh! " He felt his form start to twist and writhe as bat wings tried to sproud out involuntarily while his features began taking on the form of a bat-like creature, shrieking as the pain began to get worse. He flailed and writhed like an animal that had been caught in a trap, helpless and bleeding out from his wounds. " I refuse... to yield! So much... left undone! " Despite his protests, all he gained was the symphony of cries that followed all over the hell bound lands and the growing pain of the blade being removed and reapplied all across his body. The actions felt as seconds had suddenly turned into hours, days, it almost felt like months were falling away, withering him from the inside out as he felt his body start to grow weak and heavy. " I... will not... yield... " Duraxxor continued to weakly protest, angrily staring at his captor despite the amount of puncture wounds that leaked the energies of his very soul, already tinged with a crimson flow.
" This one.. shows great promise.. my master... he has already been touched by the power of anima.. " His captor commented, as if to be speaking with another person who was not currently present. Quietly, silence passed between him and this cold creature wielding a sword as a tool. " Of course, master... It is as you say... as a whole or as a fraction.. " The being pulled the blade out, giving Dura moment to linger on the pains of this torture, the winged creature of a man quivering from the consistent trauma being inflicted upon his bodily soul. The specter watched as he lifted up his head and bore his twisted gaze into their form, rumbling with a growl before it was cut short by a sudden slash of the blade that cut right through him as if he were nothing more than sliced bread. A jagged crack suddenly forming across his entire torso.
" What's... happen.. ing!? " Duraxxor could barely audibly speaking as he writhed agony, feeling the tethers that kept himself slowly spread apart. Like a paper husk, we was being split into pieces straight to the central fibers. Discoloration began to settle on his features as he soon found he was losing himself. The images of his life cycling through at a sporadic rate as the pain ignited wildly. His body slowly began to lose physique and he found that even has face was splitting into three sections as he bellowed out loud enough for the other denizens to feel the amount of agony he was enduring. The overly dramatized No following forth before the Duraxxor we knew finally shattered like glass, leaving the chains connected to three individual massses of energy that retained no shape. These shards of what was once the Myotis now writhed in agony in an attempt to rebuild and take on physical forms. A single fragment taking form in a serpentine-like creature that billowed and snapped it's jaws while lashing it's tail wildly like a whip. The second fragment, flapped two limbs that began to form, sharp teeth now shrieking as it flopped around due to being grounded. A full coat of fur beginning to form on the majority of it's body like a grizzled fruit bat. Then finally, at the epicenter of, the last piece began to take on the form of a humanoid. A younger, frail elf that possessed pale features, two snake bite piercings, and a gaze that bore no fruit and was as clear as glass. This new being was gasping for air and naked, possessing quite the panicked look as he felt his throbbing within his chest much like a living organ. Looking around, the creatures and their captor had finally disappeared, leaving what was left of Daevara alone to their own devices.
" What's going on? Why... who are you? " The elf looked to each of the creatures with unfamiliarity and a shivering fear about what was transpiring.
" Reeeeeeeeeek! What is this?! Why did we fall apart?! " The bat creature screeched and continued to roll around on the ground, making matters worse as the chains started to wrap around his wings.
The serpentine finally managed to coil up defensively and calm himself, peaking from between his his coils as he hissed at the two. " There is no need for panic... it would appear that our soul has been split asssssunder... I do not undersssstand what hasss happened... but now.... we are trapped together... but sssseperate.. "
The bat finally ceased his movements as he tried to straighten himself up as he looked over towards the elf and speak. " Hey, you, you look just like us as a kid... does that mean you're the main part of us? Why are you so weak and frail? "
The elf finally sat up, curling his body to hide his shame before he finally answered his bat companion. " I... I don't know... I just feel this... vulnerability... I don't... feel like.. myself... what is... happening to... Me? Us? You? I don't even know... " Confusion showed about his features as he looked between the two.
" How the hell are we going to get out of here? What if we are stuck like this forever?! " The bat piped up as he wildly flapped his wings around, gusting air before he found himself whiplashed by the serpent's ridiculously long tail. " Ow! "
" Would you calm yourself, you gutter snipe... do you want to catch the attention of more denizens of this place... we have to remain calm until we formulate a plan to rid ourselves of these chains... we are all a part of this until we figure out how to fix it... " The serpent appears to be the voice of logical reasoning out of the entire trio before he coiled himself around the elf protectively. " She will come... someone will come... don't forget this... "
The elf looked towards the crimson serpent as if he was providing some insight and guidance to the situation before he nodded. " Very well... we will hold out as long as we can... until then.. let us... keep one another company, my friends. " He reached over to his left side and actually pet the bat creature along his head before he spoke further on the matter. " I shall call you... Randdu... and Sphula... " He gestured to the serpent with his other hand for the second name before he gestured to his own chest. " For now... I am simply Daev.... and we will figure out how to escape and settle the score... this i swear to you both... "

Apple Blossom - Apples or oranges? Pineapple pizza or no? Pronounced gif or gif? What sort of silly preferences does your muse feel the strongest about?
Amaryllis - How proud is your muse, and what do they think of others with the same level of pride as theirs?
Almond - How seriously does your muse take their promises? How inclined are they to make them?
The trio stared at the next soul to ask so many questions, the first bringing them most deadpanned stare of all time before the three looked amongst one another as if baffled. “ Is this fool serious? Do I look like I need a apple or orange?! Pineapple?! Pizza?! What?! Reeeeeeeek! “
“ I mussssst admit, even I am rather concerned with ssssuch choices considering you and I are both predatorssss... “ Sphula slithered away and coiled around the chain which still binds him from leaving his loud counterpart. “ Are you familiar with these ritualsss, Heart? “
Daev sighed softly as he ran a hand through his head and gave an answer the best he could. “ Apples. The red ones. I’ve never had this... pizza you speak of. I don’t know what a gif is. But, as far as specific preferences go well... “ He gave it some thought before Randdu chimed in.
“ Eeheeheeeeee! I prefer all the ladies with many types of curves! Round or sharp, it matters not! Gives me all sorts of places to nibble an- Raaaak! “ Randdu’s chain was jerked by Daev who was now flushing almost as red as the apples he spoke of. “... What?! It’s true?! “
“... Anywayssss... Pride. Ah yessss yessss. I concur that I am quite proud of my abilitiessss... even if I share the common interesssst with the bat and the Heart, here. “ Sphula uncoiled, slithering towards Daev a moment.
“ Raaaaak! Randdu is the strongest! I’ll show you! I’ll show them all! “ Randdu flapping his wings, kicking up some dust as he tried to take off before the chain tightened from his pull and jerked him back to the ground with a thud.
“ You’re... not going to break that chain, Randdu. You should save your strength for later. “ Daev retorted towards the bat familiar as he remained settled in his spot, looking towards the smoggy sky of the Maw. “ I’ll admit, there is strength somewhere... but I must regain it after so long... but arrogance amongst others isn’t exactly appealing... like my winged friend here, I have no issue putting someone in their place as best I can. “
Sphula wrapped his tail around the right arm of the elven tender before he whispered directly into his ear. “ You know exactly how to ansssswer the next... you take promisesss to heart... she will come... she alwaysss does... do not losssse faith... “
“ Reeeeek! Enough about the Lady Viciousness, Sphula, you ass kissing earthworm! “ Randdu screeched as he flared his wings out in protest to Sphula’s constant prodding into Dave’s faith. They were like the Angel and Devil upon his shoulder, only one questioned relying on others while the other chose to put faith in one individual. “ We have to be prepared for one no one arrives. Only we can make it through this! “
“ You’re both right. “ Daev finally spoke up for himself, pulling his arm away from Sphula as he explained his train of thought. “ I haven’t lost faith in Malakortana... but I mustn’t rely on her every time something goes wrong... we’ve been doing this as one for more than half a millennium... but I do trust in her. I will never forget the promises we made... but she did not build us. She solidified our existence in the living world. “ He turned his sights off in the distance to one of the countless souls that had been shackled for some time further out as he explained more on the matter. “ There are others who I have made promises to that I intend to keep... for I would not have them break their own bargain. Blood for blood, right? “

Acanthus - Is your muse artistically inclined? What sort of mediums do they prefer to work in?
“ Now there’ssss a question that isn’t assss prying into one’ssss personal life... “ Sphula hisses between the serpentine smile, feeling inclined to speak. His tail weaves back and forth, fanning softly from the ideals he wished to offer. “ Art is an expressssssion that is best expresssed by the creation of an immortalized imagery. Art agessss over time and while it doessssn’t retain it’ssss original image, it holdssss onto it’ssss meaning... “
“ No no no no NO! “ Randdu disagreed, flapping in protest, screeching his own opinion upon the matter. “ Art is meant to be observed in the sheer moment! Raaaak! The freshiest kill! The first drawing of blood! Explosive! Catch the eyes and to bring for that visual high point! “
“ And what of scarssss, Randdu? Do you not sseeee the art in such? “ Sphula lifted his chin, flickering a tongue as he presented a point.
“ Yes yes, scars are a form of art. But they do not retain the vivid beauty over time whether the skin heals and pinkens or the flesh rots and degrades! Reeeee! “ Randdu folded his wings back as he slumped back in his corner, whimpering from a lack of feast in the long days.
“ You both realize that this form of art are categories, yes? And you both seem to be only referring to murder and death. “ Daev finally added, readjusting the collar around his neck so there was some comfort in this imprisonment. “ You have both forgotten the paintings and sketch work we use to do... the notes we use to play on the piano... Art is a form all types of expression, not just visual. It is sound. It is even taste and smell. “ He reached over and began tracing his fingers through the dusty soul as he began to draw various shapes that appeared to be an image of them. “ But... yes, the art of murder can be rather... expressive. “ A dry laugh fell from his lips as he found himself reminiscing.
[ What a lovely ask @safrona-shadowsun ]

Balm - How easily does your muse socialize with others? How good are they at their social interactions?Balsamine - What is their level of patience, and how hard does one have to push to make your muse snap?Aconite - What are your muses thoughts on their own species in general? Do they believe in inherent goodness of them? Generally self-serving? Etc?
The two families look towards their chained up heart as if he would be better suited to provide the answer. Randdu only solidifying the fact by chittering his own little answer. “ What is with all of these voices and their prying questions lately? Have they no time to offer a fight for sport? “
Daev sighed, shaking his head as he frowned at his bat familiar. “ There’s more to life than fighting... and causing trouble... “ The extra addition to his words were directed towards the avian menace before casting his glassy eyes towards the curious souls. “ I can speak to anyone without a single issue. Do I choose to do so? Not really... but then again... I’m not exactly in the situation to socialize, now am I? “ Half naked and chained to a twisted, metallic spire along with his cohorts, he faintly smirked to the point that it was almost unreadable. “ Anger? Patience? “ He gestured to the thought as if it were a foreign concept before Randdu rudely interrupted.
“ Break these chains and we will show you how patient one can be! This is so boring! Why won’t they let me fight them? It’s so much more entertaining and the exquisite pain I can inflict! “ The bat seemed to have his feather ruffled, or leathery wings, rather. Bouncing back and forth as if desperate to leave the confines of these chains.
“ Ignore that one track mind rat with wingssss, he doesn’t underssssstand what true anger and patience really issss... “ Sphula’s tail curled inward before he lashed it outward and struck the bat up side the head before continuing his own addition. “ The most patient is alwayssss the wrath you must alwayssss be wary of. More times than naught, they harbor the most sssssadistic temperament. And I am one to carry a vasssst amount of patience. “
“ Yet irritate you to not end! “ Randdu quipped again before rolling into a fit of screeching laughter, similar to that of a hyena blended together with the octaves of a hawk. The bat familiar found himself wrapped by the tail before his attempts to snap his teeth at the scaly bastard were made as the two seemed to butt heads like siblings.
“ Both of you, please... stop this... “ Daev gave them both a look, trying to remain as patient before the two’s annoying bickering finally made his blank expression turn into a glare. “ I said... THAT’S ENOUGH! “ The raising of his voice resulted into the initial push of kinetic energy that severed the two from touching one another while making them clash against opposing sides of the imprisonment.
“ Woaaaah... how did you do that, Daev? “ Randdu, despite seeking knocked around, seemed utterly amazed that one of his counterparts had the power to push them by thought, while the serpent seemed to watch quietly, choosing to observe rather than speak.
Daev looked to the palms of his hands before he re-entered his train of thought. “ We’ll.. worry more about this later... there’s still another question placed on the table to answer.. “ The trio listened to the question carefully before Daev looked between the two creatures, all of them displaying expressions of confusion. “ I... know not if this question is directly to all three of us but... what can I really say about elves? The Sin’dorei? Quel’dorei?.. “
“... The San’layn? “ Randdu chimed in before he was shushed by both the elf and the snake.
“ We do not sssspeak of that kin, Randdu... bite your tongue! “ Sphula chastised his counterpart before allowing Daev to finish speaking.
Daev placed a hand over his forehead before he regained his thoughts, seeming easily distracted. “ Right. Well... the majority of elves in history are very prideful about their heritage and tend to isolate themselves more so from society unless it serves as a means to strengthen themselves. They have served the Alliance and the Horde as a faction, while also becoming their own network in the very beginning. Elves are very... evolutionary, so to speak... self-serving isn’t a bad way to describe it buuuuut... there are those who display selfless traits towards other races. It’s rather... convenient. A race bent on survival by whatever means possible. “
[ Thank you @jacobdcheshyre and @igniting-the-dawn who also asked Aconite and Balsamine ]

"I think that you owe me for what I did for you, but I can't decide how much. Mostly I don't want to think about what I had to do for you."
Randdu choked at the next message to follow, bringing the serpent Sphula to stare off in the abyss rather adamantly. Daev, however, was the only one to frown with a hint of sorrow. " Given my... current state, there isn't much I can really offer you to amount to how much you went through to find me... and here I was just talking about you thinking that an old friend had stated an old fact. " The expression on his features seemed to hold a tinge of seriousness rather than sorrow, but that was to mask the guilt he possessed in such a state. " I'm genuinely sorry that you had to undergo such a thing, Courier and I fail to understand at this time why it happened the way it did... but alas, try not to dwell on it too much. Your wounds will bleed to death if you do. "
[ mentions of @safrona-shadowsun sorry that I didn't tag you in the one before, but this anon really feels accurate compared to the other. ]

Shadowlands: Chapter 2 - Subtraction
How did I end up here? Has my life truly been as fragmented as I were? Nothing makes any sense anymore. Many voices have spoken. Some familiar while other's, not so much. Yet, all the only physical presence that greets me is the pain in my chest. It's almost as if they are dissecting me for a glorious harvest of organs. Doubtful that they are, it feels as though it is only to remind me of my place in these wailing halls. The only entertainment to pass the time is the maddening arguments amongst my kin along with the various jailbreaks all across the endless floors of this place. I've learned a great deal about this energy flow though. Whispers of various energies of death. Anima. Phantasma. Stygia. I know not what they fully entail, but... it matters not. I am a great many things. Weak. Emaciated. Beaten.
But I'm not broken...
A wail just down the dismal hall of deathly metal echoed directly into the chamber that the unconscious trio were bound by chains. Both beasts lay upon the cold, stained floor while their heart dangled by twin links that held his arms up. His frame no more than a fraction of it's once, muscular glory. Ink-smeared pale skin that were barely covered by tattered, black cloth. Flowing white hair hung almost to the ground as he bowed in an attempt to rest his soul, preparing for the next torture that would be laid before him. The vile racket increased in volume as the sound of plated footsteps echoed across the floor. The very noise made the trio stir in their own ways. Randdu's ears wiggled while Sphula's eyelids suddenly opened and dilated with it's endless, distant stare. Not long after, the armor of Mawsworn rolled across the solid steel as they would be blessed the sound of true death. Though music to the ears of the familiars, the correct melody for Daev himself was that of the footsteps that followed with the clanking of chain, gravity now taking his course as he found himself following completely onto the floor. " Is this... no.... this isn't real... " Daev muttered in delirious disbelief, writhing like a worm before the beat of the drum followed with the shattering of the chains that barred the beasts.
" Who... issssss... thissssss?.... " Sphula hissed tiredly as he tilted his head to behold a hooded knight much like that of the Ebon Blade. The serpent watched as the knight knelt before Daev and began reaching for him. To which, the serpentine familiar protested. " Do not... harm a hair.... on hissssss head.... " Randdu followed with a weak flap of his wings before he hoarsely screeched. Both animals were set off by the visitation of a stranger who appeared to be potentially a foe.
" Stay your... claws and teeth. I am only here to do what is necessary. " The voice coming from the hood confirmed the condition of undeath that laid within the epicenter of this being. Faint, white hairs tickled the edges of the hood which only revealed a familiar nose and chin structure. As he reached to place a gloved hand upon the epicenter of Daev's chest, he muttered something unexpected. "... I'm here, to save my son before it is too late. " The hand now emanated with strings of white tethers that flowed freely into the much younger Daevara, which in return made this new ally's jaw clench. " Take my anima... and rise again, Alphus! "
Daev felt the energies of the being that claimed to be his father pouring into his soul. A subtle gasp following which brought his glassy eyes to glow that white purity. Images flashed before his eyes of the man's own memories of youthful struggles, benevolent love, and even the talks of the birth of a son named Alphus Durand Daevara. It all happened so fast but brought a vision of clarity that only he could understand. It was an overwhelming sensation that caused the youth to involuntarily clutch to his father before realizing that he could see the hooded figure. " ... Father? "
The man smiled, despite being a harbinger of undeath now, he still possessed a joyous sense in any situation. Without hesitation, the man removed his hood, revealing the cyan glow of his eyes along with a messy ponytail of familiar white hair that represented the trademark that was long passed down through the Daevara family. " I just want you to know... I'm proud of you for finally defeated the curse our family couldn't overcome... but right now... you must get out of here... " With that being said, Sephirrion Daevara placed a spectral key into the palm of his hand and nodded to him, picking him up off the ground so that he could stand. " Do you have the strength now? "
Daev fumbled at first as the beasts around him slowly began to rise. Randdu standing on all fours while the serpent began to levitate, anima energy now being distributed to balance the flow within the centerpiece himself. " Is this... another trick... another... torture... has the Jailer finally decided to break me?... " Daev looked at his hands in disbelief, smudged with residues of a variety before he clenched them into fists. It was the offering of the sword that lead him ask another question. " Father... I have to ask... if it is really you... why did you... "
A thunderous notion in the distance sounded that made animal and person tense up. " There will be time to ask later, Alphus... get going. You have friends and family waiting for you... I... will distract them while you escape. That key will get you to the exit. " Daev finally took the sword from his hand, clenching the short blade and opening his mouth before another rumble settled in, this time drawing much closer. " GO! "
" You heard daddy-o, let's get the hell outta' here! Reeeeeee! " Randdu trotted across the floor, tackling Daev to move as the trio began to take off down the hall. Despite the nature of the situation, the elf found himself slower than the beasts not only because of his structure, but because he was looking back towards the man that claimed to be his father who drew his swords and charged the other direction. " Move yourself, Daev! Do you want to die here? Because I sure as hell don't! Reeeee! "
" But... what about him... he risked his neck to save us? " Daev responded back to the unfiltered bat with worry. The serpent slithering his way beside their key to the way out of here. " Randdu issss right. Asss much assss I hate to admit it. We have obligationsss to fulfill and there will come another opportuni- Look out! " The serpent coiled around Daev, forcing him backwards as Randdu screeched loudly when he dodged a swinging guillotine in passing. The metal of the pendulum force whisking by them with that faint, metallic wail that indicated death. " Allow meeee... " Sphula declared as he tightly wrapped himself around Daev and pulled him through a shadowy pocket, instantly seeping out of the floor beside Randdu before the trio was once again reunited.
" That was a close one, boss! " Randdu chittered, flapping his wings as he felt his strength returning more so now. " You gotta' work out more, Daaaaaaev... you'll never win any races with this chicken legs... " Daev gave the bat a look before Randdu felt himself being pushed back by their kinetic link. " Shut it, bat... you try being chained up for an eternity... oh wait, you were! "
The howl of abyssal creatures was heard coming up directly in front of them as an armored bowman with three, smoky hounds come clattering down the halls in their wraith-like states. The lack of physical body made them haunting to look at. Unless, of course, you were a certain bat that saw the raw energies that coursed within them. " Oh yeah, baby! Buffet here I come! " Randdu suddenly flapped frantically and made a mad swoop towards one of the stalkers while the other two were commanded to charge the elf and his serpent companion. Magics suddenly began to hum from within the Sphula's jaws as he wound himself around Daev to protect him. His tail slipped through the floor and came out to swipe at both hands, knocking them backwards before the serpent shot a bolt of lightning at them. All three of the beasts howled out as they found themselves pushed back. One of them even squealing in agony as Randdu began to siphon the energies from it, causing his mass to grow and the energy within him to turn darker. " Yeah! Yeah! Ow! "
The knockback of a bolt was heard just before Randdu found an arrow lodged into his side, making the bat-like creature shriek into an enrage frenzy before the unlucky mawsworn found himself on the other end of his jaws. Armor pieces began chipping and flying everywhere from the sheer madness that was the beast that tore into it. " ... Nothing... escapes... the Maw! " The declaration had been heard a great many times through this halls and most of the time, they were the unbearable fact. " Reeeeeeee! You're wrong! We will find a way to get out of here! " Randdu screeched his own opinion out before he immediately returned to his companions, allowing his energies to spill out and ease there way into them to split the balance.
" Randdu... I never realized you were such an energy conductor. And Sphula... you're... a magic conjurer? I've never used lightning magic before... " Daev seemed utterely surprised by the abilities of his animalistic fragments that were a part of him, bringing about a faint smile as he found his resolved temporarily renewed. " Let's get out of here and find our allies! " Daev took off as quick as his *chicken legs* would allow with bat and snake in tow. Once they come across a flight of ascending stairs, that's when the real challenge awaited them.
Coming through the doorway, the floor had finally revealed to them an massive, open room with a door on the other side that matched the key perfectly to the point that the spectral energies began to glow in Daev's hand. But, there was just one thing standing between them and their exit out of here. Within it's epicenter was a floating oculus forged from a twisted, metal shell with an energy lens within it's core. " None may escape the Jailer's Third Eye! " The voice bellowed out much like the tone of the Jailer's voice did. Energies now channeled within him as he suddenly fired off a beam of phantasmal energies. This, in turn, made the trio split apart in order to avoid the blast.
" Randdu, don't let that thing get too close to us! Flank him! " Daev shouted out in command as the bat screeched in his attack, tackling the incoming, floating eyeball. Wings were a flutter and the sharp edges of his teeth were gnawing at the metal structure. " My teeff isn't working! " Sphula's tail suddenly came out of the ground below the Third Eye as he attempted a tail swipe to knock this thing backwards. Meanwhile, Daev struck from the other side of him with a sword by trying to stab into it's core. But, the trio found themselves battered, pelted, and blasted by a series of physical and magical attacks with each and every attempt they made to attack.
While they were actually putting up a decent fight the way they were, their unsynchronized assault was met with little success and they all found themselves falling to the ground. Daev, clutched his sword, using it as a cane to support his weakening state. " I... don't know... if we're going to make it through this... " Both animal familiars were shakily trying to get back up but having a hard time as it were. " Nooooo.... we were... so close... " Randdu tried to push through and noticed that the Third Eye was charging another focused blast. " Hey! Daev! Move! Get out of there! "
Daev actually stammered, attempting to pull himself away despite his lack of swiftness but ultimately, there was no hope left in his face as he froze up, watching as the beam of bright death was fired off towards him. His first reflex was to bring his arms up over his face until he felt a gust of wind directly in front of him before the blast made an impact with another object. " REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! " The ear-piercing shriek was released from Randdu who had taken the hit for Daev. " Why... didn't you... move... you.... dumbass... uhhh... " Randdu's physical form faded away and the energies that were left over instantly traveled into Daev's left arm, funneled back to the source.
" Randdu! " Daev shouted as he felt himself beginning to panic. For the first time, the man that was once Duraxxor found himself as helpless as ever. Fists clenching as the Third Eye began to charge another attack. " I don't... want to be weak.. I need... more... Power! " He took off towards Sphula, reaching to grab for the serpent so that he could wrap him around his body. " I'm not letting you take the fall for me, Sphula! We'll get through this! "
The energies of the beam began to grow, nearly complete in preparation for another attack much like before. " ... You fool... if you die... I die too... I.. haven't... given up... she issss... closssse... " Sphula explained the little fact that the Sorceress herself was drawing closer, meaning that soon, there would be other's there to rescue them much like his father. " Yeah... you're right... Malakortana won't let us die... right? She's always there... when you least expect it... " Daev spoke these words as if they were the only thing they could truly do in the moment, hearing the energies hum behind them just as his legs began to give out. " I need.. more power! Malakortana! I need your guidance right now! I don't know what to do! I need your STRENGTH! "
The fully charged beam was fired off in a straight shot for them as it made contact, exploding with anima magics in the form of a plume. Smoke lingered in the air after the dust began to clear and the Third Eye peered towards the the area they had stood. At first glance, it appeared they completely bit the dust from his final attack. However, something most unexpecting occured as this anima sentry felt the heartbeat pulse of anima from within. With that being said, the dust cleared and a tall figure stood there, silently. A crimson scaled tail with spines wriggled left and right, jutting just beyond a black outfit that was comprised of a pair of pants and a closed trenchcoat that was embroidered with a deep red design. A hood, delicately hid the features above the nose line of this being. Skin-tone was a paleness with a hint of sanguine glow splashed into it as a pair of onyx lips curled significantly, protruding now with elongated, venomous fangs. From behind said lips, a voice called out.
" It'ss time, we ssettled the sscore, little occuluss. Now, you shall know the power of the bond between usss and The Lady of Vicioussssnessss... “ [ Tags: @sanguinesorceress and @safrona-shadowsun. Bottom art credit goes to @handhour-galleries ]

11. Is there anything they’re ashamed to admit they don’t understand? What?
Oh yes, there is a great many things that Dura does not understand. One example is the fact that he is currently split in the WoWverse into three separate beings. He doesn't understand why? How? and what purpose it serves? And to some degree, he feels a hint of shame due to his inability to retrieve this knowledge. Not to mention, every trial seems to always have a purpose to teach him a lesson? Perhaps his humanity is trying to claw at his heart? Possibly sharing some insight as to the beasts and monsters that are inside of the fleshy soul?
Other entities he feels shame for is the ideals of others and how some beings grasp at such simplicity. Why settle for less eventful things? Why does the Courier take to such a simple job when she is well aware of what it is she is? What mold has the Gravekeeper placed herself in? Or has others influenced her to be what she has become today? Why does Malakortana keep such secrecy even to those she holds the closest? All these differences define the contrast each character has to the being known as Duraxxor. He understands to some merit but not exactly the extremities. This is due to his preference of excitement, freedom, and honesty over the traits described above. However, that does not mean shame is not felt for not understanding due to feeling as though this close-minded thinking may influence judgmental behavior, something he prefers to avoid for those he is closest to.
These are the few examples and as far as the Trio itself, each one has a misunderstanding they do not understand of one another. Randdu does not understand the loyalty that Sphula has for the Sorceress as she does not possess a forwardness that displays the same trust they have placed in her. Just as Sphula doesn't understand Randdu's chaotic nature and why he tends to act like an immature thing that seeks to sew that which he acts. By not keeping it together, Daev himself is sometimes ashamed of the two creatures who despite being a part of him feel so distant. Why? He truly doesn't know. Talk about not knowing yourself..

How long had it been since they had seen each other? Iseult doesn't remember, but she does remember that Dura was taller than her. Unless he had shrunk in the meantime...? And of course, there were these two creatures around him, a snake and a bat.
Arms crossed under her chest, she stares at Sphula, Randdu and Daev in turn. The confusion and the reflection make her frown and squint. Giving her a constipated expression on her face, if she continues to think so much. The strange grimacing expression will become permanent on her face.
Everything about this trio gives her a familiar feeling. The smell, Randdu's personality, Sphula's apparent reflection and Daev's appearance. In the end, she sighs and shakes her head.
"Forgive me but... You look familiar, do you know a man named Dura? You look just like him."
@renardsnoir
The ears of the bat twitched as the soft voice of one they were familiar with. The trio came together at different speeds and turned to face Iseult. All of which possessed a certain look about them. From the bat’s beaming, bright eyes to Daev’s softly opened gaze in a sort of shock, to the abyssal stare of Sphula that was always on guard, never wishing to trust anyone except one particular person in mind.
The bat creature shrieked with a gleeful cry as his gapping mouth went wide, reminiscent of a canine that had found it’s long lost master with how jubilee his features beamed in recognition. “ ISOLDE! REEEEE! “ He sprung to life and immediately flapped his wings to leap onto the ice themed elf. Landing face first directly into her chest as if he simply could not help himself as he gave her a winged hug.
The serpent slinked away to coil up and prepare itself incase this was some sort of a trick, sent to bring them even further from their goals. Meanwhile, Daev simply sighed before he walked over with a few taps of his make-shift cane that appeared to have been a broken weapon. “ Know him? You might say that we are... quite familiar with him, as a matter of fact. We know him to the closest detail... “ He paused a moment only to look to the taller elf who was now wrapped up by a bat. “... it’s good to see you, Iseult... to be frank, I thought we were never going to see you again... “

"I fear that you've changed too much. I anticipate that you'll find some better place among the living, as most do. I expect it, in fact."
Sphula narrowed his eyes even further when another message came, one that didn't quite fit the previous two. One that hit some sort of a nerve amongst the trio.
Randdu, of course, screeched and began flapping in a fit before the hand of Daev was raised, bringing the two angered creatures before they say things they would require. The elven man sniffled as darkened tears began to drip down his cheeks. " If I had to guess... who that was... I'd have to say it's you Anna... because there's only one other person that sees myself in that way... " Daev wipes his tears away and even manages to hiccup a moment before looking to his hands. " I'm not okay... nor do I think I could ever find a better place amongst the living... I'm not even who I was... am I even fucking alive?... "
He falls to his knees and wraps his arms around his chest, digging his fingers right into his shoulders. " I don't know what to do... or where to start... I just feel... so tired... so weak... all I have is you and the Red Lady, it feels... and these two knuckleheads that are going to drive me insane... "
[ @gravekeeper-anna for mentions, it may be wrong but she's one of a few people that knows what's going on. ]

For the trio: “what do you do for fun?”
" Fun?" Sphula was the first to actually speak of such things as if the word itself was alienated from his vocabulary. A confused hiss falling from his jaws.
"... We haven't quite had a moment of fun since we arrived here in the Shadowlands." Daev immediately responded, a bit puzzled as to how fun would be accomplished amongst the three.
The bat screeched, chiming in with thoughts of his owns as he cackled wildly. " Fighting is fun! Sex is fun! Blood and fear is also fun! Yes! All the fun! REEREEREEEE!!"
"... Remind me to never invite you to any social gatherings, Randdu..." Daev dryly retorted before ultimately palming his face.
