I know this because, seemingly every single shift, 1-3 teens/uni age kids come in, ask where we sell camo clothes, and several minutes later leave the sparsely stocked hunting section with mild disappointment

i am literally astounded by how bad the pixel art in hatsune miku logic paint is. like youd think the developers for a puzzle game in a genre that revolves around filling in a 1-bit grid to reveal an illustration would think to hire a guy who's good at pixel art

the large vertical cuts threw me off cause they're shallower, so in various light sources they almost completely disappear on screen!

anyway this is my plea to crystal companies: please stop making the same hatched pattern over and over it's very hard for an amateur antiquer and tumblr blogger to identify these patterns through columbo screenshots

ETA: just realized this is the same pattern that shows up in s8e4 Grand Deceptions! and with a beautiful clear close-up shot of the glasses no less. just delightful. really wish more shows would go out of their way to do close ups of their various fancy props

Kinda annoying whenever you criticize shein/temu/wish/AliExpress the rebuttal is "OH so you hate poor people then?"

Like my god no, if that's what you can afford it's what you can afford, it's a criticism of the business model as a whole and people doing 1000$ hauls, not someone just buying a few items a year and taking care of them.

And as much as can be said about these articles of clothing being made of poor quality and sweat shops-which is important to talk about! A lot of Western retail shops are also fast fashion made of cheap materials that disintegrate. ALL my work pants fabric wears down extremely thin in the crotch within less than a year and they're from fucking old navy, and I keep buying them because it's one of the only styles I like that I can afford to buy more than one pair of at a time. Also almost everything new is fucking serged instead of stronger/more secure seam finishes because it's the fastest.

And even trying to save up and buy a high-end garment still doesn't escape you from fast fashion either-luxury brands claiming to be "made in Italy" aren't even made in Italy! They can be sewn somewhere else and then just have their handles attached in Italy

Or products made in the US being made with prison labour, fast fashion is literally unavoidable and when people complain about it's usually not against the individual with almost no choice but to buy into it but against the system as a whole! And I don't even fucking know how to begin trying to dismantle it
