Are introductions still a thing?

Honestly, I don’t know. I’m not on social media enough to know, because I tend to try and stay out of many fandom spaces requiring social interaction these days. As the years have gone by, experience has just taught me that I’m not all that comfortable being a person on the internet. I do best in small conversations with one or two people, social media overwhelms me quickly and I don’t like being forced to choose sides, which unfortunately can happen in fandom.

I am very happy though for anyone who wants to to contact me via DM or send me asks – since Soundwave/Optimus Prime is such a small ship I figured I could give it a try, because well, there’s not that much content and people who engage with it anyway, so it might work for me.

Also, for the record: I’m fine with constructive criticism on my fics or people critically discussing my fics in their own spaces and blogs. I don’t subscribe to the notion that just because someone read my fic and liked it, they are now required to absolutely adore it and speak of it only in the most glowing terms. Tastes differ. Preferences differ. My decisions on what I’m going to lean into vary between fics, my own opinion on fics I’ve written changes over time. It’s perfectly fine to like something and still dislike some aspects of it, and to discuss either in a respectful way.

If you want to give constructive criticism, however, please comment on the fic itself or DM me so I know you actually want me to read what you have to say. Ultimately, the only thing I’ll take personally are personal attacks.

Not everyone has had the average mech for a guardian, Op 🙄… Sometimes some mechs have cybercats as a parent, and obviously sometimes that leaves quite the impressions. Like sitting in random boxes or biting people sometimes, scratching furniture n running around past midnight with lots of energy. Yknow, normal people things to do!
