My technique:

Pull up the recent videos page

Looking through the 2 pages of videos, assign everything either a "was worth my time" (+1), "was not worth my time" (-1), or a "eh" (0). If something was truly exceptional, you can give it +2 or -2. Don't go bigger than ±2.

Add them up

If the score is negative, it's time to let 'em go.

If you try to go based on your heart, you're going to hoard channels you wish were good, and not are good. Your time, attention, and energy are finite. You deserve only good videos!
