Naya and Heather got me into fandom when I thought I was done. She is the reason when I have met most of the friends i have had in my life. She helped so many in the LGBT community and that will never be forgotten.

“Y/N, which high school are you applying for?” Jimin asked out of nowhere. It was a little strange for him to be asking you a question like that. Usually, it’d be the other way around.
“Busan High School of the Arts,” you said. Ever since you learned Jimin was studying dance, you decided you should try to follow your own passion for the arts as well. “What about you?”
“I… actually don’t know yet.” There was a slight drop in Jimin’s expression.
“You could come to the same school as me~!” You made a peace sign with your fingers. “Apply as a dance student!”
“I don’t know if I’m qualified.” He looked down at his notebook, twirling his pencil as you stared at him. “It’d be pointless to apply there only to get rejected…” You were certain that with his talent, he’d get accepted into any dance school. And you just wished he wouldn’t doubt himself so much.
“I have no say on who gets accepted into what school,” you said, trying to copy Jimin’s pencil twirl, “but any school that doesn’t think you’re qualified is missing out on a talented dancer.” The boy’s face reddened.
“You’re just saying that because you want me to go to the same school as you…” he mumbled.
“I’m not!” you pouted. “I mean… yes, I think it’d be fun for us to attend the same school… but more importantly, I don’t want you to just give up on dance because of self-doubt.”
“I never said I was giving up on dance…” Jimin set down his pencil. “There’s just… a lot of other things to consider too.” You waited for him to elaborate on the “other things”, but it seemed like he didn’t want to tell you about it.
-
“Jungkook said to be at their place by 8.” You tapped your foot as Yoora drew on her signature winged eyeliner. “It’s 7:50… And we’re literally just gonna watch anime. Do you really needa go all out on the makeup?”
“Yes, of course! I needa look my best for Jimin!” Yoora took her eyes off the mirror for a second to look at you, but then made a face when she looked back at her reflection. “Ew, I messed up my eyeliner!! Look!” She pointed to her eyelid, but you saw nothing wrong with it.
“Looks fine to me…” You rolled your eyes. “Can we just go? Your Jimin is gonna get mad if you’re late.”
“I can’t face him with my eyeliner all over the place!” Yoora groaned. “Just go ahead without me then. I’ll meet you there after!”
“Okay…” You were actually hoping you wouldn’t have to go alone. Because that would mean it’d just be you, your boyfriend, and your childhood crush. Maybe the double-date thing wasn’t such a good idea after all.
-
You knocked on the door, praying Jungkook would be the one to open the door. But as soon as you saw pink hair, you knew that wasn’t the case.
“You’re late~” Jimin shook his head. He wore plaid pajama bottoms with an oversized sweatshirt, all complimented by his soft fluffy hair. “I was waiting a long time for you, ya know.”
“It's 8:02. My bad.” You followed Jimin to the living room, looking around. “Where’s Kookie?”
“He told me his vocal lessons went extra long or something.” Jimin pointed at the couch for you to sit down. “He should be on his way soon.”
“Oh…” You breathed in a clean flowery fragrance as he took a seat next to you. He ran his fingers through his hair and shamelessly stared at you as if he hadn’t seen you in years. Although it really hadn’t been that long since he first took you to the dorms, part of you did miss him too.
“So it’s just you and me then?” Jimin teased, tilting his head.
“Yeah,” you looked away from him, completely forgetting about your missing friends. You told yourself you wouldn’t fall for his charms, but your body never seemed to listen to your words. Your face was already flushed with red, your heart beating too quickly.
Jimin grabbed the huge blanket that laid over the couch and brought himself closer to you before covering both you and him. You couldn’t think of anything besides his body heat radiating out to you, tempting you to move even closer, to narrow the already thin gap between your bodies. Neither of you said a word, nor did a word need to be spoken.
Yet, as close as you were to him, you also felt distant. Past or present, Jimin was always both a close friend and a stranger you hardly knew. And for so long, all you wanted were answers. Why hadn’t he brought up that night in Busan? The night when everything between you and him changed. Why did he continue to pretend like everything was okay? Maybe it was for the same reason you also refused to bring it up. You were scared.
Your train of thought was broken as Jimin’s hair fell to your shoulder. You heard the gentle breathing of his sleep. His sweet scent pulled you into a sleepy state of your own as you glanced at him resting against you. He really had grown into a handsome man. Your body snuggled up to him, wanting to stay there, even though you knew it wouldn’t last long. It just felt right.
But you had a boyfriend. And Jimin needed to be aware of that sooner than later—before you gave him anymore false hope. “Jimin…” you spoke softly, half-wishing he wouldn’t hear you.
“OMG!!!” You heard your friend’s squeal from outside along with the sound of keys unlocking the door.
Jimin opened his eyes calmly, but didn’t move from your shoulder. As the door knob turned, you bit your lip and put a small gap between yourself from the boy. He stared at you before turning his attention to the opening door. You only hoped he would understand.
Jungkook stepped inside with a wide-eyed Yoora right behind him. He cutely waved to you and Jimin and led Yoora to the couch. You were pretty sure her eyeliner looked exactly the same as it had before you left her, but her eyes were now filled with hearts. The way she looked at Jimin was too similar to how you had once looked at him.
You waited for her to introduce herself to both Jimin and Jungkook, but got ready to step in when she remained speechless.
“You’re Yoora, right?” Jimin got up from his spot next to you to greet your friend with a warm smile.
“Y-yes!” Yoora blushed. You’d never seen her so flustered over a boy before. “You remember me from the fansign?”
“Of course,” Jimin nodded. “You curled your hair and asked me about my ideal type, didn’t you?” You flinched. He really did remember her... And he was so warm and friendly to her. He was probably that way with all ARMYs. Suddenly, you didn’t feel so special to him. Not that you ever were.
“Hey.” Jungkook plopped himself down on the couch next to you as Yoora continued to be swept away by Jimin. He offered you some freshly made popcorn. “Your friend is funny.”
“She really is…” You popped a handful of popcorn into your mouth. “She’s madly in love with Jimin… I don’t get it.”
“That’s not what I meant, but okay,” Jungkook laughed, watching as you grabbed some more popcorn. “We’re gonna run out of popcorn before the movie even begins, Y/N.” You were so fixed on the conversation in front of you that hadn’t realized how much you had already eaten.
“Sorry,” you scratched the back of your head. “What movie are we watching again?”
“Your Name (Kimi no na wa)!! It’s like my favorite movie in the world??” Jungkook turned to Yoora and Jimin who were still standing and blocking the TV. “We can start watching it when some people take a seat already.” He threw a popcorn at Jimin’s head. You laughed when it sat perfectly on top of his head without him realizing.
Jimin sat Yoora down on the couch as he reclaimed his spot right next to you. He caught your eye for a moment. You reached over him to pick the lone popcorn out of his hair and gave it to him. He stared at it, puzzled and a little flustered.
“Did Jungkook throw this at me?” He leaned over to you and whispered into your ear. You nodded and let out a small giggle. “That brat…” He threw the popcorn into his mouth and opened the blanket to spread across the four of you.
“I heard that~” Jungkook called out from the other side of you as he pressed play to finally begin the movie.
Jungkook had told you all about Your Name and how good it was, but you couldn’t seem to focus on the story at all. About ten minutes into the movie, you felt a hand resting on your leggings underneath the blanket. A chill ran down your spine. You turned to Jungkook, who had both of his hands on his cheeks, staring intently at the TV screen. So obviously, it was the other boy’s hand.
You pulled your phone from your pocket and sent him a message. An alarming beep came from Jimin’s phone a second later. He waited a few minutes before pulling his phone out with his free hand to see what you had to say to him.
9:07PM Y/N “your hand is on me”
He chuckled a little before responding.
9:10PM Jimin “it is”
9:16PM Y/N “this isnt a date you know”
9:21PM Jimin “last time i checked, it was”
You weren’t sure if he was kidding or serious. Yes, it was a date, but that wasn’t how double dates were supposed to work. You thought you had made it clear you weren’t giving him anymore chances, and that things were going perfectly fine with Jungkook. Jimin couldn't have really believed this was a date between you and himself. He said it himself that he knew Jungkook was into you. And he must’ve known that you felt something for Jungkook as well.
But he didn’t know the two of you were dating.
You started to type up a message to clarify the truth. But another text popped up before you had the chance to send it.
9:32PM Jimin “you said you wanted to see me, didn’t you?”
Your heart completely dropped. You could barely bring yourself to read the text because you knew he was right. You did want to see him, but you didn’t mean it like that. At least you didn’t think you did. So how were you supposed to respond?
Jimin gently entwined his fingers with yours. His hold was so warm, yet so fragile like it could break at any moment. But you didn’t want it to.
When you didn’t pull away, you felt a soft squeeze on your hand. You glanced at Jimin, who gave you the sweetest smile before setting his phone down to get back into the movie.
Although you had no clue what was happening in the movie, you didn’t want it to end. Because when it did, you had a lot of explaining to do.
A/N: I still haven’t watched Your Name... but tfw Your Name and Y/N exist in the same universe o.o
