Going back to Hobbes - I was raised with this concept deeply rooted in Catholic Church. Catholicism is like 95% of religion of Poland so you can’t escape it and even if you’re atheist/evangelic/jewish etc the catholic morals are shoved down your throat at any given moment.
As you can guess I was in deeply faithful catholic family (only my mum and grandma doesn’t take it with that much of a blindfold and actually have their thoughts and balls to disagree with Church) and that comes with Hobbes theories being heard everywhere everytime. At school you have classes called religion and it’s only and solely about Catholicism, at family gathering you have discussions about this (I have a lot of that, because I separated myself from a Church), when you walk a pedestrian street you hear about this. This very greatly discourages from learning about other perspectives or making you even think about „what nonbelievers have to know their morals?” Because you already have the answer - other beliefs are inherently bad because they don’t have same, written down and explained morals we do. Nonbelievers are inherently awflul, lawless people who in reality believe in Satan or other deity, cause you can’t just not believe; someone must write you out morals.
Me, starting a video that says it's going to explain how Victorian poorhouses fucked up the concept of charity forever: ok, show me what you've got
Video: it starts with the ideas of the Christian philosopher --
Me: DON'T SAY IT DON'T FUCKING SAY IT
